I must have made thousands of these carnations, from Kleenex, as a young girl to decorate the bride's car and sometimes the wedding party! We'd have a party with the brudesmaids, family, and friends to get them done. It was so much fun, we'd tell stories, have great food, and have lots of laughter. Great memories from the 60s and 70s.
I can't believe how all of you ladies in this collab used these weird items ,esp toilet paper to make such awesome crafts!!! I love it! I'm watching from Virginia
I love the idea of taking the toilet paper and putting it on the trees and snowflakes! It gives it so much texture!! The trees with the toilet paper flowers are gorgeous!!!!! And I will ALWAYS LOVE a gnome!!!😍😍😍😍😍 I’m a bit addicted to them!!🤩😝
I'm watching from SC but I'm originally from outside of Chicago, IL. I've lived in several different states. I've actually cut off the top of those pill bottles with just scissors. I'll have to make a tree and try one of the bottles!
All of them are amazing. The angel on the tree topper is my favorite. Good use of the toilet paper. Thanks for sharing your inspiration and creativity 💜🌻
My goodness, Katie you nailed the toilet paper. I loved the Christmas tree! So CUTE! I enjoyed them all. I'm tuning in from California. Love watching you create. Tyfs, my friend! 🥰❤️🦋🌷
Glad to be part of this play this with you. So both you and I made flowers out of the toilet paper. Lol I did Halloween you did Christmas so it was perfect. Thanks for sharing.😊😊😊
Hi Katie I’m in FL. Your tree is so pretty, your gnome is adorable and something I can make with my grandson, and the TP ornaments are beautiful they’re my favorite. Who would’ve thought to do that with TP?! Have a great week😊
I am watching from Kentucky. That is so ironic that your first tp craft and your gnome are so similar to mine. Great minds think alike. 😂 I love how yours came out.
I am new to your channel. I’m so happy that I did find it. I think my favorite ones were those little wooden ornaments. Everything was beautiful. I am currently watching from Tampa, Florida.
Hi Katie, waching from the beautiful bluegrass state of Ky. Such adorable ideas 💖. All are so good, the last little wreath ornament is adorable. I'm always putting together different nativity scenes so I'd probably use that angel in one of those. As a crocheter, it's hard to believe you find such great deals on those doilies. Grab 'em all, I would at that price 😂. Also, some of my smaller grandchildren have their own little trees in their rooms & will love the gnomes. Nice video my UA-cam friend.
Thanks, I won't say better, just different. It gives it more of a brushed texture. I think the baking soda is great for a more stucco, concrete texture.

@@claritzabenitez9341 Everything old is new again! These brought back a few memories for me too.
Thank you for sharing that memory! I love how these classic techniques can be repurposed for different things. 💕
When I was young, my mother would do this with Kleenex and a wire hanger.
@cherileerogers1650 what a fun memory, great idea 💡
@@ladyredcrafting Thanks.
She would make a wreath using the tissues and the hanger.
It was really nice.

In high school we made those carnation flowers from paper napkins for floats. As you can imagine they were much larger.

@@ladyredcrafting I'll be watching! I thought I'd try using a cut down bottle as the trunk. Those wood pieces from DT are hard to find.
