It was very hard to decide which guitar I preferred but when I heard the Barnett guitar being played I had to choose it! Loved it! I also liked the Verreydt! Congratulations!
Thank you Jan for your great reviews. You take considerable time trying to convey in words the complexity of each guitar's sound. I have two comments. First, I can attest to the sound and quality of the Rzepka guitar. I have Rzepka#65 and Rzepka#87. #65 is a spruce on cocobolo with a 640 scale. The sound is strong and clear with good sustain. #87 is a little unusual in that it's cedar on flame maple with a 635 scale and slightly smaller body. It has an unusual sound quality, reminding me a little of a lute and with wonderful undertones. So kudos to Toby Rzepka. Second, I am sure that you are aware that you are sitting on an acoustic goldmine at Siccas. What would be interesting is if you brought some science into your assessment of the sound of your guitars. Take each guitar and record the sound into a wave analysis tool so that we might better understand the physical aspects of each guitar's voice. If your Daniel Friedrich or Hauser is the gold standard, how do the soundwave profiles of contemporary builds compare? Perhaps we can correlate a waveform profile of a guitar that "releases sound fast" or produces "round" "warm" notes, i.e. correlate the waveform profile with your descriptive text. It's a very tempting experiment given the many different guitars at your fingertips. Thanks again.
