1. He opened the door to reduce the impact area from the blast wave. It is not difficult for an Astartes to stay inside a Thunderhawk; a human female would be an acceptable loss. 2. Why was the Hades hive destroyed from orbit? In the last War for Armageddon, Commissar Yarrick (the one with one arm), commanding the defense of this hive, defeated army of the Orc Warboss Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka. The destruction of the Hive is revenge on Yarrick.
You say revenge, I say "That made it too easy for you this last time, lets see you do that again somewhere else." If Thraka wanted revenge, he would have kept Yarrick as a prisoner. Their's was the strangest of inter-species bromances.
11:16 Traditionally, during the Middle Ages, a Knight was struck in some way during the Dubbing ceremony. This was supposed to be the last time the Knight was to let someone hit him without striking back. In modern times this is expressed with a tapping of the shoulders with a sword.
The physical book, this audiobook, and this animation was actually my first encounter with Warhammer 40k, and that's what brought me into the medium. It's also why the black tempers are, and will always be my favorite space marine chapter ever. I freaking love this story! "Hero of Hellsreach, they cheered....as if there was only one." - Grim the GOAT
And remember: For the People of Helsreach, the Black Templars and the Imperium, it was a desperate fight for Survival. For the Orks it was the usual Saturday afternoon wholesome Family reunion Party.
From my understanding the art style and clarity of it it’s supposed to represent Grimaldus’s mental state. From the uncertainty at his new position and depression over the death of his mentor, to the clarity and purpose he gains in battle, to the guilt at surviving and he loss of his men and friends
the point of view oif the imperium can be summed up in one of my favorite quotes: By bolter shell, flamer burst and melta blast, the mutant, the heretic and the traitor alike are cleansed of their sin of existence. So has it been for five millennia, so shall it be unto the end of time.
I just want to point out something. You can see the quality of the video improving as our protagonist advances through the story. That's because the quality of the video reflects his mental state. At first wondering why he was being sent here, was he being punished?, to finding strength, purpose and himself along the way. By the time of the final battle he had a clear purpose and drive. And at the end, once more back to being troubled, distraught, broken, given his survivor guilt... But this was the beginning and birth of a legend among the Black Templars, that of Grimaldus, an absolute beast
Your introduction new approach is fun :) If any of the neckbeards who take stuff too seriously start whining about stuff an old fart whose been playing from early 90's thinks your stuff is amusing!

I didn't really have respect for your warhammer reactions(cuz i thought you weren't serious) until i saw this 3 hour vid, I owe you my apology, you got an honest life sub.
"He jus wanted to give'er sum... You know..." No. Space marines literally do not think in any romantic or sexual manner. ESPECIALLY Black Templar, which is what Grimaldus is. He was thinking he wanted to see the results of the explosion... But *also* he knew that if the door remained closed when the wave hit? The woman would have hit the door and with the force and impact? Look at the speed she flew out at. She would have literally been a stain on the wall of the inside of the ship.
I love how you missed 3/4 of what had been said in the movie because of yapping and than proceed to be confused about everything that is happening on a screen XD
Any one checking the comments first do not watch this, they added over a hr to the movie by pausing every minute or so and constantly talking and asking questions they would actually know the answers to if they paid attention to what was happening, and they simply treat 40k as a joke pathetic wannnabe cash in on 40k popularity, much much better helsreach reactions out there helsreach
LETS GOO 😤
Grimaldus: Dying is dumb. Stop it.
Zarha: Dam, u rite.

When Grimaldus said he would die on Armageddon he told the truth. He lost all his friends, everyone who he showed his face to died

They show this custom in the movie Kingdom of Heaven, set during the Crusades.
"That is your oath."
*SLAP*
"And that is so you remember it."

He couldn't be too guilty. In the end, he still had Andre.
Moderati: The Princeps is dead. It's over!
Grimaldus: We're done....when I say we're done.
The dude waddling with the mechanical arm in is eye is a human servant that has been lobotomized and turn into a basic robot called a servitor.
A punishment if there ever was one. Stay vigilant and paranoid.
Rewatching this little gem I'm always impressed how well TTS captured Helbrechts voice, "WERGH!" hahaha
Weeeegh
The old lady's a battle sister. They're always blasting their mouths off at space marines.

I hope y’all enjoy the video.

1:06:15 Many of the Grimaldus Fan Base call him, Skeletor.
I love watching your guys reaction! This movie got me into 40k
At first I didn't believe the hype, but now I need to see this remastered with a Godzilla vs Kong level budget.
@@ChillinWithTheJs. Would actually hit the cinema for that!
"With blade and bolter!!! With faith and fire!!!" Sooo fckng epic!!!!
That triple blessed water allows Grimaldus to re-roll his bad stats, so he indeed got even more powerful.
Black templars, my army, so badass !
In the book 100 battle brothers went with Grimmaldus in Hellsreach
“As if there were only one…”

Damn you two clowns really miss a lot great dialogue and emotion moments. Just stop yappin.
They literally talked over almost every one of the top ten moments in the book somehow lol. Worst possible timing.
TikTok brain, people can't sit still and watch, gotta constantly scream and bash the spacebar.
Sebastian Yarrick is HIM

It is not dumb to not count when you have no interest in countless vessels coming into the orbit. 6:55
Pause as much as you like, just makes more video content. But, please stop talking over dialogue, pay attention and learn.
1:12:05 was supposed to be really important to that charecters development but, you guys missed it because you couldn't stop yapping.
