      At the same time, when she found his head, penis and testicles in a bucket, Mom said while on the stand ... "I didn't know if I should call 911 or the non emergency number". WHAT????? the non emergency number? You've GOT to be kidding me!

    So I sat and thought really hard about that poor mother and what she saw. Unfortunately people are judging her based upon her reaction. • @shioriryukaze
      @shioriryukaze Рік тому +35

      I would tell these people to put themselves in that situation. What rationality in your mind would help you get through what you just discovered a few minutes ago? I know that people as a whole are jaded to this point because of what we've seen in our lives but, there are some levels......

    • @Hidakaku56
      @Hidakaku56 Рік тому +60

      Yeah I never understand the way people judge the mother so harshly. If I saw a head in a bucket in my basement I'd be in shock *and* denial. I wouldn't want to take another look and actually have to face and confirm whether or not it was my kid's head. Not to mention a lot of people were going after her for being so concerned about the cops being quiet, but if you were a mother and you found what might be your son's disembodied head in a bucket and your other kid was in the house sleeping, you wouldn't want to wake them up. It's horrifying enough to find your son's severed head, imagine if the other kid had woken up and saw that.
      Not only that, but she only found the *head*. They had no idea where the rest of the body was, if it was in the basement, if it was dismembered like the head, if it was somewhere else in the house. What if the other kid had woken up and accidentally stumbled on another part of the brother's body?

    • @shioriryukaze
      @shioriryukaze Рік тому +26

      @@Hidakaku56 My shock and denial would meet each other head to head. They would literally jockey for position. One would make some leeway and then another one would make some leeway. It may be at least 15 to 20 minutes before I decide on a decision that makes sense. When they said that she made the statement that she didn't know whether to call 911 or a non-emergency number, that's a common sense thing to say. Because the person's dead so there's nothing 911 can do, then again this is a murder so you need to call 911. Who do you call? This isn't Ghostbusters!

    Bruce, she said in the interrogation that she didn't know if he liked to be choked. Meaning she never got his consent to choke him, there is no indication that choking was consensual sexual activity he anticipated. She sexually assaulted him while he was still alive, choking a non-consenting partner is sexual assault. Then assaulted his corpse. I think if she was a man people would be more willing to see that. Just a note, appreciate your videos.

    I do think she was definitely high on meth when she did this, but I dont believe it was the *reason* why this happened. She's been incarcerated since the day this happened, so she's been off meth for a *LONG* time at this point. If this was all due to meth, she would be absolutely devastated, remorseful, and disgusted at herself for what she did. What is the point anyway? Insane or not is not the question and shouldn‘t matter. Is it evil or no? That‘s what matters. Even if mental illness is the issue, there is responsibility in getting help snd treatment. Just like with any physical illness.
      Mentally ill or not, pol CHOOSE to be evil!
      Or not.
      To do what‘s right or choose what‘s wrong.
      Oh and they know!!!
      They know exactly…
      Being „insane“, mentally ill is not a free pass to avoid responsibility.
      Their job is to get help, not make things worse.
      Most of them are legally competent, they can pay rent, work, drive a car. They are adults, they function, the have responsibility.
      They are not mainly sick, they are mainly EVIL! ☝🏼

    It's funny that people think going to a maximum security psychiatric hospital is better than going to prison. Being drugged against your will despite any possible side effects, not knowing when or if you might ever be considered cured, being judged for every action or non-action, and much more... I guess in some countries they do focus on rehabilitation more and those people may get released too soon, but I haven't seen that happen in the US. The ripple effects of trauma that Shabusiness unleashed are mind-boggling. From the medical examiner, crime scene techs, clean-up crew (if the family can afford it- otherwise THEY clean it after it's been processed), jurors, and his family- she's hurt dozens of people by her actions.
      I remember the detective on the Chris Watts case (the guy who shoved his 3 & 4yo daughters into an oil tank after killing his entire family) had such horrible PTSD, he had to find a new career. He said that whenever he sees a little girl, he gets flashbacks about having to retrieve their oil-soaked bodies from a tiny hole in the tank.

      That’s an oversimplification of why people believe that. Until you deal with someone who can do evil shit, you may never truly understand what it feels, looks, and acts like. Also, she claims she blacked out for much of the dismemberments. Almost every case I’ve ever read about or listened to, the perpetrators say they blacked out during the worst parts of the crimes they committed. So, that’s just one more reason out of several that people believe in demon possession.

      Oooh, yeah, I thought of her as well. Sada Abe. IIRC, the public had sympathy for her and she served a pretty light sentence (especially considering how authoritarian the Japanese government was at the time). There was a movie made about it in the '70s called In the Realm of the Senses, and the movie is considered a classic in some circles (the DVD has a blurb with praise from Madonna) but is also notable for having real, uncensored sex, the actress putting an egg in her vagina then laying the egg, and in one scene she briefly grabs a little boy's junk. That was enough to get my friend to leave when we watched it in my 20s because for him, that crossed the line from art film into child pornography.

    There was one point where a mutual friend of the victim and defendant was talking about hanging out with them and used the slang "choppin it up" for hanging out, and she starts busting up laughing trying to hide her smile.

      Came to bring up that exact moment. I couldn't stop laughing. It was surreal to see it play out IRL.

    It’s wholesome seeing lawyers be empathetic to people who randomly discovered a severed head while at work.
    I’m not a police advocate at all, but it was essentially “some guy” who found the parts. That “guy” is probably handling it personally like most people would, horribly. He happened to have gotten a cop job. He’s still a human, he didn’t deserve to see that.
    I will throw up if I get into the victim and his family’s hurt, so I’m gonna end at the witnesses.

    Everyone involved in this case, from the first officers on the scene to the lawyers and judge and jury, have been traumatized by this woman.

    Definitely has a Premeditation Component to it. A Truly Beyond Heinous Crime.

    I just realised, how terrible it must be for her fellow inmates, to have to live with her, be exposed to her daily.
    So sad for the family to live with what happened.
    Looking forward to seeing the Alaska series of videos. What a trip.

    Your honor, I want to say, "objection". I think certain qualities of the prosecution's questioning ties into an unspoken principle we can all relate to, which I'll explain with a short anecdote about the moment I decided to become a defense attorney...
