As a former police officer of 20 years, medically retired, thank you for the empathy you show the first responders. That scene will definitely stay with those officers forever.
Thank you for dedicating your life to keeping the rest of us safe. I greatly appreciate everything you guys do to help.
@@BiologyBabepoor cop tho😢 he see the pain thanks to him l hope you will be safe ❤
I could not even imagine the things police and first responders have to see. I _really_ hope they all have access to therapists and anything else they need to deal with what they have to see
Its probably gone round the whats app group they have lol. Some people get jobs like this just to see. Why risk life in jail when you can get paid to see messed up stuff xx
Thank you for your public service.
As a mother I couldn’t imagine the horror of knowing your son was strangled and dismembered while you were sleeping upstairs. I could not imagine the pain . The just utter pain . No one has ever earned the death penalty more . Shame
At the same time, when she found his head, penis and testicles in a bucket, Mom said while on the stand ... "I didn't know if I should call 911 or the non emergency number". WHAT????? the non emergency number? You've GOT to be kidding me!
@@micheledematteis2072Because she obviously knew he was already gone. Calling 911 is for emergency where you can still save lives. Non emergency number is to report crimes. How is that a confusing thought for you?
If your child are choking would you want people holding up 911 to report a head and a penis in a bucket?
Shock blanks your mind completely out... Imagine finding your son's severed head _anywhere_ and then being able to think clearly. @@micheledematteis2072
Idk if I could ever even return home again.... I'd be getting a hotel for the night and the something else until moving. If someone will buy it after that.
@@micheledematteis2072I guess it technically wasn't an emergency, CPR definitely wasn't going to work.

Her face - she is PURE evil. Never a tear. She's also 100% sane. The minute the jury found her mentally stable she stopped the little smiling act.

So I sat and thought really hard about that poor mother and what she saw. Unfortunately people are judging her based upon her reaction. If it were me, I would not believe what I saw and be too scared to look again to make sure. There’s absolutely no way I could. Stop judging people’s reactions.
I would tell these people to put themselves in that situation. What rationality in your mind would help you get through what you just discovered a few minutes ago? I know that people as a whole are jaded to this point because of what we've seen in our lives but, there are some levels......
Yeah I never understand the way people judge the mother so harshly. If I saw a head in a bucket in my basement I'd be in shock *and* denial. I wouldn't want to take another look and actually have to face and confirm whether or not it was my kid's head. Not to mention a lot of people were going after her for being so concerned about the cops being quiet, but if you were a mother and you found what might be your son's disembodied head in a bucket and your other kid was in the house sleeping, you wouldn't want to wake them up. It's horrifying enough to find your son's severed head, imagine if the other kid had woken up and saw that.
Not only that, but she only found the *head*. They had no idea where the rest of the body was, if it was in the basement, if it was dismembered like the head, if it was somewhere else in the house. What if the other kid had woken up and accidentally stumbled on another part of the brother's body?
@@Hidakaku56 My shock and denial would meet each other head to head. They would literally jockey for position. One would make some leeway and then another one would make some leeway. It may be at least 15 to 20 minutes before I decide on a decision that makes sense. When they said that she made the statement that she didn't know whether to call 911 or a non-emergency number, that's a common sense thing to say. Because the person's dead so there's nothing 911 can do, then again this is a murder so you need to call 911. Who do you call? This isn't Ghostbusters!
How about you sit harder with it steff. Dude had enough money to fulfill his fetishes and heroin addiction but not enough to move out? Dude was a spoiled fuckin brat, and Law of Attraction would naturally bring a narcissist into the picture. Her subconscious saw a weak ass family bond and jumped on it. Mom is too disconnected from her sons life to know hes shooting up in her basement? Uh uh bro, you gots to go son or no. 100% parents fault and I have no sympathy for dumbasses. You absolutely reap what you sew, everytime. Unfortunately you needed you sons head in a fuckin bucket to wake you up.
❤❤praying for peace for the mother and families and 1st responders 🙏🙏🙏
Just think. Those parents aren't hysterical, because of the absurdity of the idea. Shock, disbelief, and denial are basically holding them in stasis, hoping it's a sick joke, knowing it isn't but not ready yet to accept it. This monster whatever her name is, I won't give her the respect of that, she caused this to him and to his parents. It's horrible.
She’s a sick person dude. What she did was horrendous but sick people - especially sick people on drugs - do really sick things. It’s tragic and gross and terrible but this is a very unwell woman
@@BetteLouWhoI'm not sure I've heard that one before. It's a good one.
@@BetteLouWho well I don’t really feel very empathic toward her myself, I’m just saying she’s not a monster; she’s literally just a very sick broken meth addicted person. What she did was disgusting and gross but I can’t imagine how broken and awful you have to be and feel to do that sort of thing.
@@lonesomebeetroot3376 Just another sadistic psychopath. She's hideous.

My son left law enforcement because of cases like this. His partner was shot in the back of the head while they were on patrol together. It could have been my son since the shooter simply wanted to shoot a cop. My son still has nightmares.
OMG, my heart goes out to your son, you & his partner’s family. Please know there are many you don’t know who care about your son.
I’m so sorry. PTSD can destroy one’s peace of mind and affects judgement. His pain must be lonely and very heavy. Please let me say I’m praying for his peace and safety. 🙏🏼
So sorry for this. Bless your son and all police persons.

Our prayers are with you, your son and his family and the partner's family. We are a family that appreciates the job these police do and my heart goes out to your son. My little brother was a Marine and has PTSD so I know how devastating it can be.
Bruce, she said in the interrogation that she didn't know if he liked to be choked. Meaning she never got his consent to choke him, there is no indication that choking was consensual sexual activity he anticipated. She sexually assaulted him while he was still alive, choking a non-consenting partner is sexual assault. Then assaulted his corpse. I think if she was a man people would be more willing to see that. Just a note, appreciate your videos.
Yeah she was convicted of third-degree sexual assault, but I think that was for the um… post-mortem stuff
Poor kid why tho
What else are you looking for other than ppl already acknowledging she sexually assaulted him? Idk what comments or information you’re reading.

Her eyes are vacant of any soul. What a piece of work. My prayers to the victim’s family. ❤
I do think she was definitely high on meth when she did this, but I dont believe it was the *reason* why this happened. She's been incarcerated since the day this happened, so she's been off meth for a *LONG* time at this point. If this was all due to meth, she would be absolutely devastated, remorseful, and disgusted at herself for what she did. She's able to look at these photos and listen to the graphic testimony regarding the scene, and laugh or just show no emotion of any kind.
there's meth in jail.
Tell me you've never seen Oz, or ANY Prison Documentaries without saying you've never done any BASIC level of Reasearch...

New here but that intro is top five on UA-cam! 🔥
Appreciate your coverage on this horrific case.
I have been following this case and it was sad when they brought her dad in the orange jumpsuit, in shackles to testify. Sounds like the entire family struggled and when the mom passed, the dad lost all control. Absolutely no excuse to behave this way because in the end there are no winners. My heart goes out to the enforcement team that now have this permanent vision. I pray they get help.
It's easier to say she's crazy than to believe someone would do that without having something terribly wrong with you. The dismemberment was so much worse than initially reported. The medical examiners testimony was horrific.
Her mind is clearly not wired correctly. Insane no but she indeed is broken
My entire life (and I’m 83) I have ALWAYS said, when I hear an insanity plea in a murder case, “I would hope so!” I would hate to think someone was sane while taking another’s life.
I mean theres no chance of doing that if there isn't anything wrong with you. I worked in a mental institution for some time and her behaviour reminds me of brain injury victims. All the irrational face expressions are a dead giveaway. If your frontal lobe is fucked, you'll be suprised how much that can change a persons behaviour. Also she had an asphyxiation fetish and thats one of the easiest way to get cerebral damage.
What is the point anyway? Insane or not is not the question and shouldn‘t matter. Is it evil or no? That‘s what matters. Even if mental illness is the issue, there is responsibility in getting help snd treatment. Just like with any physical illness.
Mentally ill or not, pol CHOOSE to be evil!
Or not.
To do what‘s right or choose what‘s wrong.
Oh and they know!!!
They know exactly…
Being „insane“, mentally ill is not a free pass to avoid responsibility.
Their job is to get help, not make things worse.
Most of them are legally competent, they can pay rent, work, drive a car. They are adults, they function, the have responsibility.
They are not mainly sick, they are mainly EVIL! ☝🏼
By choice.
Dr vincent was a magnificent witness. He really explained everything very well.
The new cold opens before the intro are amazing, beautifully done Michael!
Thank you Bruce, for your insight as always! I’ve learned so much from this channel.
This is beyond anything I could imagine, my heart goes out to anyone who had to go through this case especially the family I can't even picture or imagine the pain or horror they must be going through.
My hub’s step dad was in a biker’s gang, way back in the day. Their club’s lawyer remained steadfast + loyal, available 24/7 for over 30 years (all until his passing, years ago) He ended up the “go to” for all the extended fam/friends, long after the club disbanded. A trustworthy, personable criminal lawyer is a huge blessing for a family to have on stand by! (occasional + rare mishaps/mistakes DO happen) Bruce reminds me of that lawyer…
HAVE FUN ON YOUR TRIP! BE SAFE ❤ thanks for continuing to post on your vacation!
One thing I really appreciate about you Bruce...as a criminal defense attorney, I would think it would be easy for you to be adversarial towards police. But in such a gruesome situation, you show such empathy towards police as the humans they are. Can't imagine what these first responders experiencd, and this poor family.... I can't even fathom the trauma of living through this.

This is gold. I appreciate this video a lot. Hearing you discuss cases/trials is just 👌.
It's funny that people think going to a maximum security psychiatric hospital is better than going to prison. Being drugged against your will despite any possible side effects, not knowing when or if you might ever be considered cured, being judged for every action or non-action, and much more... I guess in some countries they do focus on rehabilitation more and those people may get released too soon, but I haven't seen that happen in the US. Actually, I've only heard of one case in Canada where that did happen.
In Canada in 2008, Vince Li, while riding in a Greyhound bus, stabbed a sleeping passenger, Tim McLean, 50 - 60 times, cut off his head, dismembered the victim, threw body parts around the bus and cannabalized the body. Confined in a mental institution until 2017, Vince Li was released a free man, changing his name to Will Baker.
I know that. And that's why I'm hoping the jury concludes she's insane. It's WAY worse.
STILL better than prison.
It's the I'm not responsible...how criminal of an excuse by a criminal.
No psychiatric hospital, EST, psychiatric care, medication, etc...is going to fix that brain. She needs to be in prison. She would no doubt enjoy it.

I typically don’t ever say this but I genuinely feel bad for these two cops in the moment where they first discovered the bucket. Granted, there are many more people more effected by this horrible crime but to know that you’re now responsible for controlling such an horrific scene and things are about to go downhill fast I can only imagine the stress these dues dealt with.
this is a cops life and thats why we all need to respect them!
The ripple effects of trauma that Shabusiness unleashed are mind-boggling. From the medical examiner, crime scene techs, clean-up crew (if the family can afford it- otherwise THEY clean it after it's been processed), jurors, and his family- she's hurt dozens of people by her actions.
I remember the detective on the Chris Watts case (the guy who shoved his 3 & 4yo daughters into an oil tank after killing his entire family) had such horrible PTSD, he had to find a new career. He said that whenever he sees a little girl, he gets flashbacks about having to retrieve their oil-soaked bodies from a tiny hole in the tank.
The cops probably went to the bar after this and got passed out drunk on purpose.

Hey from New Zealand 🇳🇿
This reminds me a bit of the Joel Guy Jr case
Unironically she give me Kathryn Knight vibes with how callous and unflinching she is.
One of my roommates was a Sheriff's deputy, he said the worst things was anything involving the death of a child and suicides. He was a kind person and had a compassionate way of dealing with the matters at hand, as if they were a friend or family member.
"kind person" "sheriff's deputy" yea ur lyin.
I understand why they used to think people could be taken over by demons, because how could a human being possibly do something like this...A Japanese geisha did something like this in 1936. She was also into strangling her lover, and eventually killed him and cut off his junk. Pretty bizarre.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people on this planet who still think that it's demons.
That’s an oversimplification of why people believe that. Until you deal with someone who can do evil shit, you may never truly understand what it feels, looks, and acts like. Also, she claims she blacked out for much of the dismemberments. Almost every case I’ve ever read about or listened to, the perpetrators say they blacked out during the worst parts of the crimes they committed. So, that’s just one more reason out of several that people believe in demon possession.
I would highly suggest looking into the work of Jerry Marzisky. He was a former materialist/ atheist who worked in mental hospitals for decades and concluded from his decades of research/experience that virtually all psychosis is caused by evil influence by non-physical entities.
There have been many crazy actions by people that took the experimental drug
Oooh, yeah, I thought of her as well. Sada Abe. IIRC, the public had sympathy for her and she served a pretty light sentence (especially considering how authoritarian the Japanese government was at the time). There was a movie made about it in the '70s called In the Realm of the Senses, and the movie is considered a classic in some circles (the DVD has a blurb with praise from Madonna) but is also notable for having real, uncensored sex, the actress putting an egg in her vagina then laying the egg, and in one scene she briefly grabs a little boy's junk. That was enough to get my friend to leave when we watched it in my 20s because for him, that crossed the line from art film into child pornography.
Just found this guy's videos today! Love them. Binge-watching all day
Bruce growing a beard for the bike trip is just that much better! Thanks Bruce for all you do! And MICHAEL TOO!

It’s one thing to see something like that on the internet but in person you’ll definitely probably need counseling after this unless you are use to seeing this kinda stuff
Right?!! What is it with Wisconsin and dismemberment??
Very, very few people could witness this and not need therapy. Not even the most hard core FBI serial killer detectives
You could need counseling for seeing it on the internet too. About 15 years ago there was a website I watched that showed the beheading videos that some Islamic terrorists released. It was the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen and took me quite a few years to get the visions and sounds of it out of my mind. the biggest arguement against insanity was her behavior on the body cam footage at the time of arrest and the police interrrogation. I have relations who have schizophrenia and bi-polar, and TS was lucid, oriented, had good memory recall, and could speak intelligently.

Yeah, exactly. Obviously we can't know what's going on in her head, but I was also calling acting the whole time. After the jury declared her sane, her demeanor also became visibly more sober.
Honestly, I question her sanity less than I question her intent. I do think it's plausible there was no intent to kill. The other charges would obviously still hold, but I find it interesting they found her guilty of first degree intentional homicide so quickly.

There's good and bad as within any profession. The Golden state killer was a cop. The guy that turned away the fbi from helping with the long island serial killer investigation may be a serial killer himself, but at the very least he's guilty of beating up a guy who found his sex toys. A couple cops just ripped off a guy's leg in Texas and blamed the suspect for it. They definitely didn't seem upset about it. Go watch the Lisa Edwards bodycam footage and tell me those weren't some heartless cops. I'm just saying I understand both sides, but we should be on the same side of providing support and holding people accountable.
they are not evil

Mr. Rivers. Would you take a case like this, and if so, what would your line of defense be? Especially regarding the Insanity plea. Thanks again.
I'm sure you are just speaking hypothetically, but I just wanted to note that her attorney is a public defender, so even if she had the choice, I'm sure she couldn't afford Bruce's fees lol.
If he were a public defender (like Shabusiness's lawyer) and assigned, he'd have to defend her whether he wanted to or not. You must have a really good reason to ask a judge to release you. But our man is a private attorney and gets to say "no." I'm also curious about what his strategy would be if he had her as a client!
Respect for the defense attorney, no -win situation
Wish you safe travels, looking forward to seeing your views of Alaska!
my heart breaks for those parents to see such a horrendous sight. may God comfort their hearts and give them peace!!
I like her attorney. He’s providing good “defense” for the indefensible without showboating, being loud, using misdirection or any if the nonsense defenses attorneys (like the McMichaels-Bryan attorneys during their murder trial) with weak cases dig up.
Human sacrifice and blood drinking is part of Christianity, so she did a very Christian act and must not be punished
I agree i think he did the best he could fairly.
@@majhee55Mind Schabusiness.
@@majhee55 not at all but thanks for telling others how messed up your brain is. Good luck weirdo
I agree. She had to have an attorney, and in all honesty, who can defend her crime? The attorney did his best while probably vomiting in his mouth the whole time.
I watched her trials, both of them. I couldn't get over her smirking and staring right into the camera. She has the look of pure evil 😈. I'm sure she'll get life in prison where she belongs.
you're right
The defense called an expert witness who basically said her smirking and scowling was evidence of psychosis
Sux to be her cell mate 👀
There was one point where a mutual friend of the victim and defendant was talking about hanging out with them and used the slang "choppin it up" for hanging out, and she starts busting up laughing trying to hide her smile.
Came to bring up that exact moment. I couldn't stop laughing. It was surreal to see it play out IRL.
Hope you have a safe trip & enjoy! 😊
Thanks Bruce for breaking down this gruesome crime for us, really appreciate the time and effort you and your team aka son do for us.Being Canadian your my go to channel for what "crazy cases " are happening in the US.
It’s wholesome seeing lawyers be empathetic to people who randomly discovered a severed head while at work.
I’m not a police advocate at all, but it was essentially “some guy” who found the parts. That “guy” is probably handling it personally like most people would, horribly. He happened to have gotten a cop job. He’s still a human, he didn’t deserve to see that.
I will throw up if I get into the victim and his family’s hurt, so I’m gonna end at the witnesses.
Everyone involved in this case, from the first officers on the scene to the lawyers and judge and jury, have been traumatized by this woman.
Definitely has a Premeditation Component to it. A Truly Beyond Heinous Crime.
I just realised, how terrible it must be for her fellow inmates, to have to live with her, be exposed to her daily.
So sad for the family to live with what happened.
Looking forward to seeing the Alaska series of videos. What a trip.
Absolutely heartbreaking for the mother and family , just horrendous.
100% everyone Who viewed that Carnage that night has some degree of PTSD or another. This extends to the Court Room and the Lawyers, Guards, Jurors, Judges everyone who views these Images IMO would have some form of Trauma.🙏🙏💔💔
Your honor, I want to say, "objection". I think certain qualities of the prosecution's questioning ties into an unspoken principle we can all relate to, which I'll explain with a short anecdote about the moment I decided to become a defense attorney...
Omg loving the facial hair already!!
Have a blast on your road trip Bruce!
