Another thing I've heard about the cleaning woman who found the baby was that she witnessed her husband's suicide a few years before, and even her therapist suggested not taking the hospital cleaning job because of her former trauma. The poor lady has seen so much.
"Teenagers are more dangerous than toddlers.". Retired teacher here and you are so correct! I have seen teens do things you would literally not believe. Their decision making process is mind bending.
My daughter at 14 or 15 was told that she couldn't go to a party because she was on restriction for the weekend. Her solution was to pack a small bag with her ",party clothes" , jump out of a third floor window onto hard, frozen ground and to run away for weeks. Unbelievable!
@@katellawow! Can't imagine needing to go to a party that bad, & I was a kid who was either partying, or grounded for breaking rules about it. I'm glad that the jump didn't severely injure her. And I commend you for not losing all ur marbles in raising a teenage girl. They're not for the faint of heart lol
I'm raising 4 teenage girls, please pray for me😅 2 are stepdaughters that have lived with us fulltime for 11 yrs. That statement about teenagers being more dangerous could not be any truer. My stepdaughter will be 18 in 2 wks & we're counting down the days. She has run away more times than we can count & made our home unbearable for EVERYBODY. She ran away a few mths ago, the cops say they can't make her come home, but DSS showed up last wk saying we're medically neglecting her bc it's still our responsibility to provide her diabetic supplies. Seems to me she should be making amends with her dad & coming home but instead she called DSS on us🤯 There's so many stories I could tell that would blow your mind. Her sister & all 4 of my kids function just fine, they're respectful, make good grades, do what's expected of them & they relay that to DSS everytime but that doesn't detour them from opening another investigation everytime she does this. They've been to our house 8 times in past year, open investigation, talk to all the kids, us, check our home & close it. This girl is in for a rude awakening.
The mother is *so delusional* she really never thought her daughter was going to jail for murdering her baby. She didn't ask for a lawyer in the hospital and didn't even get her one after. They both really just thought killing a baby was no big deal apparently. Incredible.
Pro choice. Killing baby's is no big deal, happens day in day out. I am not suprised women are so desensitised. If i shoot a pregnant woman i am going to jail for double murder but a woman having abortion is not murder... make it make sense
My mom worked in labor and delivery for 30 years and she had a few teens over the years that hid their pregnancy from their controlling parents. And then when the parents found out they lost their shit, highlighting why they weren’t told in the first place.
the fact she was allowed to block the warrant, which is illegal since her daughter is a 19 year old adult, is amazing. She could have been arrested or at least forced to move. Seriously. Active warrant is grounds for entering an open door.
What blows my mind is that she gave birth IN A HOSPITAL and still made this choice. She could've asked for help at any time and the baby would've survived. Hell, she could've left the baby on the bathroom floor for the staff waiting outside to see and he would've been okay!
Omg, this is what I said. That hospital has a No questions asked policy about leaving a baby there. So she could have done that and left them to believe it was a miscarriage. Because her mum already knew she was pregnant by the time she had him.
She continually calls the baby "it" and "nothing"and let me just say that a damned 19 year old KNOWS that we don't put babies in trashcans with a liner suffocating them! She knew exactly what she was doing and she tried to hide it, period!
Also at 19 you would ask for help knowing you are at a hospital, and that is what a hospital is there for. If the baby wasn't breathing, a normal person would ask for help, not throw it away, and never mention it !
My son was stillborn at 39 weeks...an emergency situation, sooo no epidural. Let me tell you, the fact this girl did this ALONE in a bathroom with no epidural - without screaming absolute bloody murder....is astonishing. I made noises that ive never heard another human make before. She mustve REALLLLLLLYYYY been afraid to tell her mother man. The only way she couldve repressed her screaming, had to have been just total fear of her family knowing. Ugh
I was thinking the same thing - the circumstances that led to this must have been so extreme! Unless of course she was just "sick" in some other intense way...but, otherwise, the family situation and fear this girl had must have been would have had to have been so dire!
Some people have an easier time during childbirth... mine was a nightmare but my sister in law had one strong contraction and popped her 1st one out. Her next 7 were even easier.. just saying... not everyone has difficult pregnancies or larbors.
Her friends said she was going to name the baby Alex so there is no way she didn’t know she was pregnant. She just tried to deny it to everyone. And her mom allowing her to go to prom after this horrific thing is beyond me.
She did call him ALEX if you look on the left as the officer enters the living room there is a box frame with a picture of a dead baby, a baby blanket, a baby vest, a blue heart, angel wings and big letters spelling out ALEX! Can you believe it?! She also wore his ashes in a necklace to prom! 😱
She has a mural in her living room it says Alex with a baby blanket...it should have been a trash bag she is horrible and that grandparent is an awful liar
In the lawsuit they filed to the hospital they in fact named the baby Alex. That family is in such denial, even with the autopsy they still want to believe it was a stillborn baby.
@crystalsaiz5248 They are sueing the hospital? I know the mom said it when the cops took her daughter but I thought she was just running her big mouth. I can't believe something took this cass to sue the hospital!!
The fact she wasn’t sitting in JAIL like her babies father would have been says it all. Playing young and confused works so well with women. Very evil. Throw away the key and no protective custody
During the arrest with the police on the porch, Rosa (mom of Alexee) was being very manipulative. First she tried to be tough. When that didn't work, she changed to tears and painted Alexee as so fragile. Alexee isn't fragile. She gave birth by herself, then went to the prom (all smiles) with no remorse or regret.

@@drgibb1416I think they said she bit it off. It’s really hard to cut it even with scissors. I feel bad for the baby he would have been 6 months trying to roll over and trying to talk.
This is the crazy part to me. You can just give the baby to the hospital. No one will think less of you to admitting you cannot care for a baby. People WILL think less of you for dumping a baby in the garbage though...
@@mcnamarakyShe wasn't in a lucid state. She just gave birth alone, with noone to help or support you. Going through pregnancy and birth is tough enough, with hormones and pain being overwhelming. Now imagine adding the desperation and fear she must've been feeling in the moment. This isn't just on her, this is on her parents and the system failing young women.
Well, let's be a little more fair. The girl was trying to hide her pregnancy from her narcissist mother. Gets rid of the baby, and the mom did not expect to deal with the mess. If that was my daughter, I would automatically defend her but I will have lots of questions right after.
@@thelotus8285I’m sorry but anybody who saw her could tell she was pregnant (based on pictures) she tried to say it was her birth control that made her gain weight but the distinction between weight gain and a pregnant belly is crazy. I doubt the mom didn’t know and it showed in the way she reacted 🤦🏻♀️
There are photographs and a video of her when she was pregnant still doing cheer. There’s no way nobody at least asked her, she’s so visibly sporting a baby bump. That her mother immediately insisted there was no possibility her 19-year-old daughter with a boyfriend and most importantly visibly showing a stomach was pregnant is just insane to me.
My guess is the household is not friendly to premarital sex and teen pregnancy so she assumed her daughter was a good child who didn’t get pregnant and just put on weight.
@@aromaladyellie That’s true, anything to avoid acknowledging the obvious. In the arrest video you see a huge crucifix on the wall facing the front door, which is a sad sign in this case, as those types of extremist Christian branches really try to stamp out basic critical thinking skills.
@@Scott6794 one can only hope that's not the case, but when mommy and daddy have money and relationships in high places and can pay a sleazy lawyer.. all is possible! How the hell people around them can still speak and interact with them is beyond my understanding though.
This case kills me. It made me have a long conversation with both my daughters (11 and 15.) people, please tell your children you’ll love them no matter what and how important it is to tell you when something is up. Support your babies so they never feel a need to do something like this
Same!! I’ve had multiple conversations with my ten year old daughter. I want her to know she can tell me anything! That there is absolutely zero excuse for what the girl did. I’ve even talked to her about safe havens. And yesterday she asked me what planned parenthood was and I used that as a learning moment to circle this story back around. To show how many options are available to prevent pregnancy and options for if a baby was born. I want her to know there are endless options. The only thing that’s not an option is lying and killing an innocent baby. I’m proud that there are other moms talking to their daughters about this. Great job mom!!
It’s more complicated than that. Parents need to face the facts that their kid/s are sexually active and get them on birth control pronto. Tell your sons they must use condoms, correctly, every time! This is where being anti choice backfires. If your kids hear you saying anything about being against abortion, for any reason, they will not come to you with their real problems. If you don’t start talking to your kids about sexuality way earlier than puberty, you’re treating a double standard that can smack you in the face as a wake up call. I’ll bet, that this mom did know that the her daughter was pregnant. Then, there’s the boyfriend, he has nothing to say and not one person is holding him responsible. Read, Reviving Ophelia!
I only recently came across your channel. I like that you walk the line between entertainment and education; amusement and empathy. You seem to understand the effects of trauma better than anything other lawyer channel I've seen.
The mom’s behavior was outrageous. Especially when she was flabbergasted about tampering with evidence. Your daughter killed your grandson and dumped him in the trash lady
It’s still her child. Of course she’s going to act the way she did, she loves her child. Admonish the daughter, the person who was actually in the wrong. The mom did nothing wrong, she was trying her hardest to protect her daughter, she might’ve been dumb, but there’s nothing wrong with that. If she didn’t give a shit, you’d be saying “the moms behavior was so outrageous, she doesn’t even care about her daughter.” People like you are scum.
@@TallMichelleWithTheLongHairIn pictures taken previously in her cheer uniform (if I’m not mistaken), it was quite obvious that the girl was very pregnant.
@@faithofamustardseed8198t's obvious to US that "that cheerleader is pregnant" however, when mom & others close to the young lady see her everyday, as her midsection slowly, gradually expands then it does not raise as much suspicion. I find the presence of Caffeine + Phen... which are ingredients found in (pricey for a kid) diet pills which showed up in the baby's toxicology rpt to be a factor that points to her state of mind- being just like the witnesses have reported that the girl thought she was simply gaining too much weight instead of being pregnant (bc no diet pill is going to help her with that)
How she could sue the hospital for wrongful death when she intentionally never received prenatal care is astonishing. Her family deserves every second of embarrassment- this is what happens when you never hold your child accountable and raise them to fear you and place your emotions above their own. I was a teen mother- it was terrifying, isolating, and emotionally exhausting but I chose to keep my child and have done everything in my power since that day I found out to take care of my child. She’s 12 now and life without her would be awful she can come to me for and about anything despite how it may make me feel. I tell all my children “you are not responsible for the emotional wellness of the adults in your life- period.”
If she didn't want to worry about a baby she shouldn't have been having sex. It's like we pretend that sex is a given that no one can have the restraint to not do.
The girl’s mother is a real piece of work. I can’t believe they didn’t arrest her. No wonder the teenager acted the way she did. Her mother is a bully and a narcissist. She was more afraid of telling her mom than killing her baby and going to prison.
I absolutely agree with, been saying this from the start - she was so scared of her mother reaction to out of wedlock pregnancy, she pretended she was a virgin, and decided to get rid of the problem in the easiest possible way she could think of at that moment, hoping her mother won't find out.
@@Janinemichelle389 the girl knew she was pregnant but the narcissistic mother accepted "fake truth" she wanted to be. That means when you are an officer and you are dealing with a situation/ crime that involves A black Person in the USA your chances of harm and death are statistically higher as an officer. People with money get treated better than someone from a trailer park. A Hispanic cop has a higher probability of giving special treatment to another Hispanic. A cops family and friends would get a better treatment.
Thanks for covering this case. Suffocating her own newborn was bad enough but traumatising the hospital staff and then BLAMING them for the baby's death is a sign of how awful this girl's family truly is. It's clear where she learned her lack of accountability but I certainly hope a jury will be holding her accountable at her trial scheduled in October.
I thought the lawyer made a statement to that effect of blaming the hospital because she had to deliver her child alone(she ran to the bathroom to hide after pregnancy came up?), so I figured lawyer defending the client and trying to muddy the waters (of blame)? I didn’t realize she personally made a statement blaming the hospital.
@@avidreaderredxx The lawyer represents the family and her mother is on video ranting that she's going to sue the hospital and the local police force. Certainly, her mother has a lot to answer for in this situation but a 19-year-old woman who suffocates her own child then tries to cover it up also needs to be held accountable.
Accused people and their lawyers do pretty bold things to set up a defense. Remember what Casey Anthony's lawyer claimed about her father, who sat silently in court every day, supporting his murderer of a daughter?
They released her until trial after killing a baby . I done sat without a bond for 2 months over my first case I ever caught , a possession of cannabis charge . Make it make sense the system is weird af
And what did that mom think she was going to do with the arrest paperwork? Look it over and say “well as her mom, I disagree that this crime was a crime.. so no”? Or find some typo on the paperwork and try to use that to talk her way out of the arrest warrant?
She and her lawyer have filed a suit on the hospital for wrongful death. i was so pist and floored to see that. I hate seeing people not take accountability and deflect blame.
That hospital better not settle and the nurse better sues the family. Such accusations could ruin your career. It just shows how irresponsible that family is. The hospital stepped right in to make sure the daughter was taken care. The trauma that the janitor must have experienced finding a baby in the trash no less. Painful to even think about. Especially when the baby could have been easily given up for adoption. Look at that mother, even the boyfriend? The child was unwanted. Just throw it away. I am almost grateful he passed away. Before they could abuse him even further.
Bruce Rivers talked about the undeveloped mind of a 19 year old, and I agree with that sentiment, but how can a child become an adult when their mother hasn't grown up yet, I think that the mother fits in the undeveloped category as well, overall a very sad situation.
Yeah, for sure. I wanna see where your morals would stand when you're facing possibly life in prison at 19 years old. I'm sure that you wouldn't be desperate to do anything, including blame someone else, to escape.
The fact she pulled & broke the umbilical cord, then put the baby in a bag in the trash can and walked away as if nothing happened tells me everything I need to know!
@@alizabeth8314 right… because if I don’t think I’m pregnant and a baby comes out of me…I’m calling for help, which she did not. According to the staff she did the exact opposite when asked if she was ok or needed assistance she said no.

Hearing her talk about a human life and refer to her child as, “Nothing” This 19 year old woman is nothing . It’s just awful the level of selfishness, no human is perfect and people make mistakes but a decision to throw away a baby HUMAN who has a heart and soul, like trash… how is that inconsequential?? Thats what I am saying, the courtesy showed to that murderer is shocking. People are arrested for way less, such as yourself and they get treated like animals. Whereas, she can kill a helpless baby and refer to him as nothing and it, as "nothing was crying", they don't get handcuffed and have the car pulled around for her. God will judge for sure.
I have to place some blame on her mother too. If your 19 years old daughter is afraid to tell you she's pregnant, something is definitely toxic about your relationship.
I think the mother has a lot more blame in this than just not knowing about the pregnancy. In fact, just the way she responded to the news makes me suspect her mother knew the enitre time. She seems like a VERY controlling person with how she refused to acknowledge her daughter is a legal adult and argued with police. She may be protective, but I feel there is more to it than that.
As a cleaner in a hospital I can add the fear of finding a baby in trash now when I clean the bathrooms. This is so terrible and I hope the women who found the baby is doing ok. ❤️
It infuriates me that mom seems to blame the hospital and police for her daughter's situation. She's an adult and the hospital can't force an exam she won't consent to. She could have told a nurse in confidence, had the baby safely and left it in the care of the hospital staff. They wouldn't be able to disclose anything to her mother because she's an adult. I understand being scared but she was in a hospital surrounded by help instead she chose this way.
Bro stfu. She’s 19. She had everyone around her silently pretending she’d not pregnant. She doesn’t have the life experience and world knowledge to know she could confidentially give the baby away. Everyone around her sent her the message to pretend this pregnancy didn’t exist.
The hospital called the police to investigate. The mother is taking the position of believing and supporting her daughter. If you take it as fact that the baby was stillborn, you will understand why she is upset
I am a year younger than Lexi, yet I know and HAVE KNOWN for most of my life that there is NOTHING wrong with losing your baby to stillbirth or things like SIDS for example, but I also know there is ABSOLUTELY something wrong mentally and legally with discarding your baby's body after, they are someone and need/legally deserve a death certificate and funeral.
BTW, did anyone notice how the mother was more concerned with how far her daughter would be walked to get into the vehicle?!? That wasn’t to save her some steps but to minimize the amount of people who would see. So happy this was released for everyone to see what kind of amoral human being this woman and her murderous daughter are.
More likely the girl was absolutely terrified of her completely narcissistic mother. Not that that is an excuse. I believe the girl has probably been emotionally stunted and is immature for her age but she was still damn well old enough to know what she was doing and know that there were different options for her and that poor baby. Explanations are not excuses.

I have a daughter the exact same age. The denial of reality in both mother and daughter is unbelievable. This is the result of a mother who has made her child terrified of her. Rather than having a relationship where the child feels comfortable with coming to you no matter what, the mother made it where she's terrified of disappointing her mother. The cheer video makes it a thousand percent obvious Alexii was pregnant.
I just had a daughter and I don’t want her to be afraid of me. I wouldn’t be pleased with her but I would decide to help her the best I can. If she did something like this I would cry but tell her that her actions have consequences and what she did was extremely evil. I don’t want to raise a heartless human. God forbid anything like that happens, I really want her to have the best in life and a good husband.
When my older sister was 19 she got pregnant and didnt tell our parents for 8 months. When she did our mum was supportive but my dad didnt talk or look at her at all. He was so angry at her. But then she gave birth and there was a beautiful baby in front of us all and my Dads anger just melted away. You see thats the thing about babies, There so easy to fall in love with. Its heartbreaking to know that if this woman had just told someone everything EVENTUALLY would have been ok. They would have all found a way. A new normal that would (however it began) involve a lot of happiness. My Dad absolutely adored my sisters baby. Like i said the anger just melted away from him. When my nephew died of SIDS at 9months it absolutely broke the whole family. The grief was so powerful. Because babies, they're just so easy to fall in love with. And the love is real
I find it so disturbing that her mother seems to have no regard for the dead child, or the fact that her daughter killed the baby and is only concerned about the possible repercussions of that action. She didn't say: "You understand what you did was horribly wrong", she said: "Do you remember that girls that do this go to jail." I don't know, that just really rubbed me the wrong way.
It really is the evil of our society these days. This is only going to get worse! This is inline with the same line of logic of parents signing to mulitilate their own children by chopping off their private parts and taking hormone blockers to block waht their body is designed to do in the name of "feeling their true trans identity". Evil is increasing in america and the world.
Yeah, I mean, just with what little I've seen so far of the mom (this and the consequential arrest video), her mom seems like a major control freak. Like, no excusing the daughter, but like Bruce said, "the pressure from parents and friends can be immense", and her mom sounds like a pressure cooker. But, it is a stressful situation, so maybe just seeing that side more so.
I raised my children practically alone. When my teen age daughter told me she was expecting I swallowed my disappointment and embraced her pregnancy. When she had the baby I was ecstatic and was the first to hold her. I took time off from work to make sure both were cared for. That baby was my grandchild regardless who was the father or under what circumstances was conceived. Today she is a beautiful young girl that Im very proud of. The mom is more concern about what people thinks than the child that was killed. Pride comes before the fall. Im appaled at how she carried out the whole situation and came back to the room like it was a bowel movement. Childbirth is painful and exhausting. Sad.
You probably raised her in a loving environment for her to have the confidence to tell you she was pregnant. This 19 yr old adult was CLEARLY afraid of her mother to try and hide this
Well, the autopsy revealed that the baby had air in his lungs & stomach indicating that he was alive & breathing at birth. The cause of death is asphyxia & manner of death is listed as homicide. He basically suffocated to death in the plastic trash bag she took the time to wrap him tightly several times. This baby deserved to live. RIP Sweet Soul.
It's my understanding they tried CPR when they found the baby. I wonder if this impacts the cause of death. Seems the point that will be the pivotal point in court.
@@rebeccaoliver7977 Unfortunately they didn’t. After freeing the baby from the plastic bag, they took him straight to a trauma room. She directed the staff not to touch him in light of the circumstances for the impending criminal investigation. Tough call… This baby was otherwise perfect… what a horror. RIP Sweet Soul.
There's a misconception that babies always cry right after being born and if they don't that means the baby is stillborn. So the baby was probably breathing but she believed it was dead because she didn't hear crying. However, I don't think that's really a defense when she was already in a hospital where doctors bring people back from the dead all the time and she was old enough to understand that

One thing that struck me about this tragic situation is how respectful the cops were when they were executing the warrant. Definitely something you don't see everyday.
i wonder if this has anything to do with race, but hopefully it's just because this particular police department conducts things fairly and equally with respect.
"You don't see every day" ... To be fair, the only reason you don't see it every day is because respectful cops, patiently executing a warrant doesn't make the news. No one cares. But the media eat it up if there is drama.
@kawaisou.kittychan what does race have to do with anything? Are you implying they got special treatment cuz they’re white? They’re not even white, so to come to that conclusion is just odd. And there’s plenty of footage showing cops doing their job respectfully, but no one cares about that and only focuses on the bad ones
Every officer I’ve seen in New Mexico, and I’ve been here 8 years, has been respectful and nice. While I was in chemo and lost my mind, it made me severely suicidal, an officer sat with me for an hour talking about life and was extremely caring. I was shocked
its because it was women... men are inherent simps.. cops are the worst for this behavior. If it was a father and a 19 year old man accused of killing a baby things would have played out VERY differently.
she went to jail, and will likely be for the rest of her life. I understand what she did but you all having a problem with her going to prom is a bit much imo.
@@JesusCampos-mr4qe omg stfu...SHE isn't getting away it! This girl is likely going to face the death penalty! And likely will get it! So who gives AF about a prom?! Istg people are fucking idiots. Should she not get a last meal too if she gets the death penalty?! Stfu
This happened 45 minutes from my city. This is from a small town (Artesia) in New Mexico. Both she and her mother have put on a show since this came to light. The girl cheered for the local high school and was obviously pregnant. The mother has interfered every step of the way and I hope she gets charged too. They are both monsters.
Yeah tell us more , like what shows ? I hope no one in artesia is backing them up if not they have serious issues ! i wouldn’t want my kid being anywhere near this murderer !
@@Yt76383 if the mom is this involved you cannot tell me she did NOT know , I think she was aware and was like “ tell me the truth “ and haunting her about it at home … of course the daughter denied it ! But a mom ALWAYS KNOWS ! Anyhow , when the time came I think that’s why she said that! But come on , the way the mom is theirs no way … she wasn’t aware - she’s aware of everything else her social her everything too dam well . And you think she wouldn’t b*** about her daughter gaining weight ?? My mom is a normal person lol and I’m 5 and half months prego right now as I type and when I was 3 she said “ your working out but ur getting fatter stop eating “ Or “ stop eating junk food “ she even came over more often because she said “ your getting to fat and I feel like ur avoiding me so now I’m coming to ur house 😂😂😅 “ And she came to just tell me I was gaining weight and why , was I ok? I was waiting till her bday to tell her I’m prego with ur first grand baby !! But I couldn’t take it so I said “ OMG IM FAT BECAUSE IM PREGNANT LADY “ She got high blood pressure ! From the excitement ……but nonetheless I felt bad !my point is ! HER MOM KNEW EVEN THE WAY THE MOM IN LAW AND THE MOM SWITCHED EYE CONTACT WAS LIKE THE INLAW TELLING MOM “ YOU SAID U HAD THIS GET IT “ and didn’t speak a works the whole time no reacting nada ! Puh please , what mother in law has no reaction to someone killing their grand baby,….. ( one that knew what was coming )
No. This adult suffocated her child. She is the ONLY one to blame. Do o think her mother is mother of the year? Obviously not but she didn’t kill her grandchild.
As a seasoned nurse , I’ll give what’s probably an unpopular opinion . First, pregnant teens in denial have more disconnected thoughts than anyone you’ll ever meet ! Second, the hospital certainly has liability- I’m not sure at what point the hospital notified her that she was pregnant, but any ER I’ve worked in has several golden rules !! One is that a pregnant female with belly pain could be in labor (delivering a live baby, stillborn, miscarriage, etc) …and the sudden urge to 💩 is a classic sign ! Not everyone delivers at 9 months !! Why they let her walk down the hallway into a bathroom alone is mind boggling for me as a seasoned ER RN 😳 ! I have witnessed pregnant teens do many unthinkable things when the pregnancy comes to term …you DO NOT leave them alone ! That said …it’s a sad situation all the way around . Some day this will haunt that girl …and not just for the legal reasons. Her mother needs to stop interfering, that’s why the daughter is the way she is …she never let her grow into a decision making young adult ! Edit : I’m NOT saying she & her mom are not to blame, far from that ! She made a choice in that bathroom & mom was floating on some River of Denial ! But from experience …teenagers who are pregnant will do ALL kinds of crazy things when the pregnancy is ending and they will be “found out”. I’ve seen babies/fetuses of all gestational ages delivered and placed in plastic bags, large coffee cans, anything they can find ! Their denial makes their labors unusual- I had one deliver in her pants on the school bus on the ride to school and NOT 1 person knew until they all got up and saw blood . To the point of her not being in the bathroom alone - she was acting suspicious & the ER knew she was pregnant from the urine preg test that takes 1-2 min to run. The blood test was to get a quantitative # (that is used later to determine if it’s an early pregnancy & a possible miscarriage is happening , because the # will be checked days after the ER visit to see if it rises/falls . This is when it’s EARLY and too soon for an ultrasound) ! A young girl with a + preg test who’s in denial needs to be watched ! They may do a lot of crazy things when it comes time to deliver …when it’s in a ER’s restroom while she’s a patient , it’s their responsibility ! Another example …when cops/jails faced too much litigation for drunks who died in their custody because they could vomit/aspirate OR roll over & compress their own airway and stop breathing ….they all started getting dumped into ER’s for us to “observe” until they were sober ! Many of them lied said they only had “1 drink “ . It was our responsibility as nurses to keep them safe while in the ER , no matter how busy or short staffed ! If they fell because we let them go to the bathroom alone, it would be our fault ! Negligence is a very broad term that defines what nurses/hospital staff SHOULD do, regardless of policy, staffing, etc !! Point is …#1 pregnant teens in denial are completely unpredictable! So never say never to how they may deliver or what they may do ! #2 - the hospital has a liability to keep their patients safe AND it’s up to the ER staff to be sure they don’t do things that knowingly jeopardize patient safety , no matter how short staffed or busy they are ! #3- she is at fault for what she did, but there is also responsibility for the facility for how it was handled ! If she hemorrhaged/died while in that bathroom too …the family would be suing ! #4- Working in an ER isn’t like any other place! While patients come in non-stop because there’s no appointments , patients like her have to be “watched” and kept safe while you still care for those who come in with heart attacks, overdoses, cardiac arrest, strokes, etc …IYKYK !
Whatever you said ofcourse absolutely true. In this case, when the girl arrived at the hospital or ER, when she was asked about pregnancy she mentioned that she never had sex and isnt pregnant. From what I understand looking at the interrogation videos and body cam footage for this case, they were waiting on blood results and during that interval this person went to restroom, and she said she was on a period. If not for the lady who checked the trash , it would have been something else. Also she/Alexee mentioned to the hospital that she was on weightloss pills possibly Phentermine as she claimed to the entire school that she was getting fat and whenever someone remotely suggested anything , her mom and Alexee accused them of body shaming, this came from some of the students who were cheerleading with her, most of this was either posted by them in reddit or tik tok, and they were verified as well.also there are videos of her cheerleading few days before she went into labor. And there is this whole thing about what she did to the placenta and umblical cord, remember she walked out of the bathroom as if nothing happened after giving birth and trashing the new born, and she claimed it was her periods. And the most insane part is how did her mother not suspect a thing for 9 months .. thats even more ridiculous. All in all they are all delusional.
Did she tell the doctors she needed to poop? Or did she just tell them she needed to go to the bathroom? Either way, she would not consent to an exam so they couldn’t force her on her back
@@sravd6079 I know they did a urine preg that was positive. A blood test is a quantitative #, used to track a “threatened miscarriage “ which is bleeding during early pregnancy. A # will be established on day 1 (in ER) then checked again to see if it rises or falls in the days after …helpful to know if the pregnancy is continuing or not when it could be too early to see anything on Ultrasound. But I agree …they are all delusional !! I’ve seen teenage girls deliver in cars, on buses, in bathrooms, etc without making a peep …as opposed to those of us who have had children & it’s very hard to be quiet during a natural delivery ! 🤦♀️
@@BabyGirlTiny not 100% sure if she said “poop” …but anyone with a sudden urge to use the bathroom with a + preg test is a liability to allow them to go in alone ! You can’t force them onto their back for a vaginal exam …but someone accompanying her into the restroom for “her safety” would be imperative! I’m sure she would have protested that as well …but it would have been necessary for her safety (and obviously the baby’s life)! Some things have to happen in the ER due to safety, litigation, etc. If she really protested …I would have sent mom in with an employee outside the door. They knew she was pregnant, the urine test was positive. I’m just pointing out that it can be a liability of the hospital in her trial … because as ER nurses we have to “know better”. Trust how many times we’ve heard “…but I’m not even having sex “! I had a patient once who hid the weight well and wore a bikini all summer long…and then delivered a healthy full term baby while her parents were still registering her ! Turns out it wasn’t appendicitis, we didn’t even have time for a pregnancy test ! I just know we are held to a different standard, and I know it’s not a popular opinion ! 🤷♀️
Your so right, I was wondering why she running down the hallway like that when they knew she was pregnant. Other thing she had baggy clothes on,That was a red flag! right there they should have know that she could be in labor?! They should have hold her down to make sure. I don’t know but that my opinion.
It also works in reverse. There are some people who are offered _more_ patience due to their status. Either way it doesn't matter here. This young woman was allowed to go home after she murdered her child. That's very patient. Mom has her daughter and the baby's father shacked up there at her house so I'm amazed to see how mom was so damned _shocked_ to know her daughter delivered a baby. It would be funny if there wasn't a dead child that likely suffocated in a fucking garbage bag. 🙄😒
Artesia police are really nice if you are from Artesia. But if you aren’t, they are dickish. Or normal, I guess. (joke, I don’t hate police but they just aren’t as nice. I live in one town over, and I would never speed there and try to be perfect because they will getcha.)
Thank you, Michael Rivers, for giving us these great videos. It was such a good idea, and of course, your dad is so personable. We love watching and listening to him.
The boyfriend/ baby’s father is at the hospital too with his mother. When the police tell him what happened, you can tell from his reaction that they knew. Check it out. The teen’s poor stepfather was a wreck. So sad.
The fact that this girl was able to graduate and go to her prom is crazy. Then her and her mom are suing the hospital and police. She needs to step up and take all the responsibility for her actions. She hid her pregnancy, went to the hospital and delivered that baby in the bathroom, then put it in a plastic bag and hid it! Sickening!
Exactly people are claiming she was just a scared teen but after the fear subsided a normal person would have felt so many emotions guilt, shame, embarrassment, confusion, and grieving the baby and regretting her actions are just some things anyone would feel but she went to prom and blamed everyone but herself for the death of that child And I don't even think she's suing for the baby's sake I think she's suing for herself
This "mother's" entitlement is off the charts. Then the waterworks. She is absolutely disgusting. Mom needs cuffed and stuffed. The police were too nice.
If she has a baby and doesn't want it -- guess what? You can't just say to the hospital I don't want it. It's yours. You keep it. UNTIL a suitable custodian is found. Not wanting a baby isn't a reason to not keep a baby unless you have an adoption set up. If you deliver a baby and you abandon it --- you are in jail. Abandonment is a crime.
@@aairsick Wrong, please don't spread that false information. That's how babies get killed. They can be safely left at the hospital, police station, or fire department with no prosecution up to three months old in New Mexico. After that, you have to make arrangements. All states have similar variations of this law.
OMG that defendants mother is just infuriating. Arrest warrants aren’t written on paper. There’s nothing to show you. And no, you don’t have a right to see anything.
The way they explained to her over and over that they only have to show her a warrant if its to search her house and she didnt listen shows why this whole thing is happening. She doesnt even hear out the law then she damn sure doesnt hear out her daughter!
Even if they were on paper, the daughter is of legal age, so they aren't required to show it to anyone else.(I'm sure they legally CAN'T). Which the police explained - mom just didn't want to hear it. Doesn't change the legality just because she didn't like the situation.

I think it's wonderful that Bruce always mentions his son and compliments him. Obviously they work well together on the videos and it's so nice to hear from Bruce being a proud father.. I was only 23 when I unexpectedly & tragically lost my dad(he had fell over having a heart attack & I tried in vain to perform CPR until the EMTs arrived) that was 25 years ago..my dad and I had an amazing relationship, so when I hear Bruce talking about his son, it's so endearing to me. Bruce is about my dad’s age (though I’m a bit older than Michael as best I can tell). My dad came from a culture where showing love to your son was talking down and abuse, as a “scared straight” way to motivate them. Showing compassion and affection were seen as weakness; not something “manly.” It’s macho nonsense and unfortunately it was all my dad knew until I was old enough to call it out and set HIM straight. I felt I had to once the grandkids showed up. Fortunately, my father is deep down a good man and really took it to heart. He doesn’t need to act tough anymore, and never did. He even fosters kittens now! Something I would never imagine my whole life.

The mom is insanely codependent. Notice how when they questioned her at the hospital that mom interrupts and answered the questions? And when they come to arrest her adult child she insists they have to go through her first. How in the hell did the mother not speak to a lawyer on the months the proceeded this arrest? 🤦🏻♀️
@@brainstewX You don't have to stop loving them. You need to make sure they understand the consequences though. Maybe switch from sticking up for them to helping them get a lawyer. Keep in mind not ALL legal trouble kids might get into are going to be as serious as this.
I would as well, but it seems this sympathy is only afforded to "sympathetic" actors. IE: If this were a 19 year old guy, all the extended understanding people have for this woman would not translate, especially when we're talking about the murder of a child. Every other statement would have "monster" thrown about. No one would would preface their opinion like they are here.. it all goes out the door by changing the appearance of the perpetrator.
The Mom is just as bad if not worse. The audacity to play dumb on what her daughter was being arrested for without a care in the world about the well being of her grandchild is astounding.
Notice her reaction to the baby being full term was "Haven't you heard the news of women who do this?" rather than "how could you do such a thing?" or "didn't you know this was against the law?"
Agreed. I think the mom knows she was pregnant. Because if you suspect your teen is on drugs or pregnant, you get them tested. Gaining weight, give me a break. Mother knew!
Friends knew, boyfriend knew she was pregnant because she picked out a name and told people. Come ON now. And she wants to counter sue the hospital saying the medicine she was given...blah, blah, blah. NO ACCOUNTABILITY for mom or murderous daughter.
Bruce, i found your channel recently and subscribed after the first one I watched. I've now seen many and want to thank you for the time and effort you give to make these videos. I really enjoy your perspective and professional scope on things. 😊
It's shocking to me that this girl went to the prom and didn't hide herself in shame and her Mother is as nuts as her for letting her go !! I bet all the other girls at the prom were like OMG why is she here and the babies Dad standing beside her grinning from ear to ear !! Is he not a little bit mad that she threw their child in the garbage ??? I bet the prosecution will use those pics to show how neither her or the dad really cared afterwards.
Honest question.. was the guy in the photo with her at prom proven to be the dad? I've not looked in to seeing if he knew everything that happened. I'd imagine her and her mother lied to everyone about how far along she was and left out throwing the baby away. I just feel so horrible for that poor baby.
@MissRay42691 Yes I do believe that's the guy that she was pregnant by. I saw a video of the dad in a video where the police was talking to him and his Mom. It looks like the same guy to me.
That's a pretty common meme isn't it? Kids getting pregnant, irresponsibly, then getting rid of the baby on prom night to resume their normal life. Sex-ed would clean a lot of this up
@highonthighs, by meme, do you mean fiction trope (I'm old). Re: sex ed changing the situation--most kids over 14 in 2023, are at least aware of condoms, oral contraceptives (not to mention adoption) ; over 15, morning after pill, ....sex ed really has nothing to do with this situation though, she's NINETEEN and it's 2023. Or is the thought that she wasn't aware of her pregnancy?
I was a teen mom and when i told my daddy he flipped the fuck out but it only took him a couple of days to already love his grandbaby and i couldn't have received more support than i got from my parents. ❤
I know your parents love and concern for you made all the difference in your mind at that time. It takes a minute because having a grandchild is life changing, but once the initial shock wears off, the love can come in. You are very fortunate on so many levels, but you already know that!! All the best!
My sister told my parents at 17 and they didnt speak to her for 2 days. Day 3 my mom leaves a pile of cute brand new baby onsies on my sisters bed and my dad bought a dresser for the baby clothes. My nephew was a great addition
My daughter was 17 when she got npregnant and 18 when she had the baby. .kids make mistakes and it is our job as parents to be there for them and guide them, to accept and love them. My daughter felt able to come to us. My husband and I told her we would support her through whatever she decided. She decided to have the baby. We helped her with our grandaughter as our daughter attended college. We told her she had to finish school and work part time . I worked nighzs and took care of the baby until my husband came goome from work. It was rough for awhile but also so enjoyable and thise years were the best time. Our grandaughter just turned 12 and her Mommy finished school and got a great job and found a wonderful man who loves her and our granddaughter. And they just had a baby boy, giving me a grandson. My husband passed away when our granddaughter was 9 years old. But the last 9 years of his life were the best with her. Our grandaughterbwas and is a blessing. Just because your kids may get themselves in a difficult situation doesnt mean it is the end of the best life they could have. Your kids just need to knlw they can come to you when they do . Had this girls mother made her daughter feel as if shebcould open up to her, they all could have had a wonderful life right now. So sad for that baby especially.
I admire your wisdom and ability to focus on how to help your daughter and grandchild. Long, long ago I fell pregnant at a very young age; I told my mom and she guilty tripped me heavily. She also said she "was too old to help raise another baby." And said girls like me get "sent away" to have the baby, and "everyone would know why I'd gone away". Some of the things my parents said to me make my blood run cold even today, 57 years later. Teens are such a confused bundle of emotions, random thoughts, and short attention span that's it's a miracle so many survive. Add to that the need to make some serious decisions....and it's just chaos. My folks fed us and clothed us, but they had no idea how to cultivate an honest, open, relationship. My emotions and thoughts were on a rollercoaster. I was scared, ashamed, and humiliated.
Your situation sounds like mine, though my mom was the teenager and my grandmother is literally my favorite person on earth, after my own babies. So many of my childhood memories involve her; she’s a angel! My mom finished school, got married and gave me some siblings. Around that time my aunts and uncles started getting married and having kids so I got to be the only grandchild for a long time; my cousins are always jealous of our bond. I’m thankful my mom had a loving, safe, supportive place to call home. Your granddaughter will love you like no one else.❤
I read into this story. The mother was manipulative and controlling. If her daughter was in school (which she was at this time), the mother saw her as a little 12-year-old (even though she's 19). That's why the mother acted the way she did *EDIT:* The autopsy of the baby showed it was alive and capable of living outside the womb, so the baby was definitely crying when it came out. This girl's lawyer is currently contesting it.
Some babies don’t cry, when my niece was born they had to make her cry to get the air into her lungs. She cried for like maybe 3-5 seconds and then she just didn’t. It was so weird that she was just wrapping up in her swaddle looking around like 😒🤨. It was hilarious 😂. But regardless of if the baby actually cried or not her child was found to have air in his lungs and died of asphyxiation. It’s so sad that her fear of her parents and outside people caused her to cause a totally avoidable death
@@ambunnie9972 its a passage between 2 worlds basically...im guessing we'll have the same face once we pass away and get to whatever is on another side
My babies didn't cry when they came out but they were breathing. They actually didn't cry until the nurse took them over to the table and gave them shots.
As others have said TV has made something very normal seem abnormal - many babies don’t come out crying and they need to be giving a little stimulation. It doesn’t mean they aren’t breathing, but it’s harder to tell if they are breathing until they cry. I would be curious to know if they can argue that the baby wasn’t crying and she didn’t know it was alive (aka due to her lack of education she thought the baby was dead) if they could plead the case down from murder. If the prosecution can’t prove she knowingly caused the baby to die. But the 1. Lying 2. Hiding the body 3. Actively refusing help at every stage Really doesn’t look good. I also believe I read that she may have 100% known she was pregnant before she gave birth or at least had a LOT of reason to believe she was pregnant and just chose to do this anyway.
She already had severe ptsd from her boyfriend unaliving himself in front of her, so to have this trauma on top of that is just unimaginable. I hope she's getting therapy ):
She need to Sue them. I would Sue them. I feel So so so so bad for the housekeeper. In her Interview She told the Cops how she feelt when she found the baby. poor Lady.
What continues to go through my mind, is that AT was so afraid of her mother and/or situation, that this was the result. I'm mad at everyone in her sphere. There was no way for anyone to look at her and not know she was pregnant. Sheer madness. 😔
@@nathanielbables8652be mad at AT as well. She doesn’t escape accountability. Not only did she have irresponsible sex but lied for months before killing that child. She then refers to it as an object/ nothing and never mentions it again and just goes back school before being arrested
I love this father and son team here. You're son does an amazing job producing these videos. There's a great feeling knowing you involve your family please keep it up.
I didn’t realise the father and son team aspect of this channel. I bet the doh chose the opening music which dad carries off so well. It’s genius and never fails to make me smile, even when talking about really difficult cases. This case is probably the worst I’ve ever heard of as the death could have so easily been avoided. They were in a hospital fir goodness sake. The hospital were clearly keeping a close eye on her. To be so afraid of her mums reaction that’s she could be prepared to literally bin her own baby just astounds me. The police officer was great. Reminding the mother gently but clearly that she was a grand mother. That what she referred to as ‘it’ was a baby boy - her grandson.
I have 3 grandchildren and I was blown away at how cold and callous this girl’s mother was! She never once asked about her poor grandson, never asked to see him, never cried or anything! No wonder her daughter is a sociopath - so is the mother!!
@@schrodingersmechanic7622realistically why would they, it’s beyond not wanting the baby it was pretending that nothing was wrong and making everything seem normal. acknowledging the baby, the fact that it died, and she killed it kind of goes all against that
What hits me is that the mom wasn't surprised or upset at all. Her outrage was completely fake. She knew the whole time and let her daughter go through all that alone. Maybe she was in denial but she knew. This happens a lot in religious families, with the daughter denying that she had sex and trying to keep the pregnancy a secret. Often the mom will be complicit to hide it from dad or the community. Ugh I can't even she's straight performing for the audience it's gross.
Agreed. She didn't seem surprised to hear the news or upset to find out her daughter just put her baby in the trash. I would be mortified if that were my daughter.
The mom is to blame for sure, she didnt teach her daughter about safe sex, didnt help her with a plan (abortion, adoption, etc) and not telling the hospital she was pregnant. Im not blaming a 17 yr old for not knowing what to do in this situation.
@@mikesanders8621fr! I was so shocked when I found out he had other kids. Must suck so badly to see your dad only ever hype one sibling up constantly and never talk about you
His son behind the camera is literally the only reason youre here. Like yea, the person making things happen deserves all the attention on that platform. Like it be random as hell. Also he does mention the others through, 'when I was raising my own kids' in plenty of vids.
I watched the interviews with the hospital personnel done at the moment (candid responses, no prep). A nurse explained that they had to run a SECOND more detailed pregnancy test. That was because Alexee kept denying that she was pregnant. They needed to rule out a false positive due to another reason for her hormone leves high enough to trigger the positive result. The first pregnacy test is a simple yes/no based on the amount of estrogen in the urine (which in 99% of cases means pregnancy). The second test would indicate the actual amount of hormones. They were waiting for the results of the second test while all this happened.
I work in an ED/ER and, honestly, I get the exact same situation with every teen who comes in - to the point where we run the more detailed pregnancy test first now, because it saves time. Most of these kids are in denial, half of them don't understand how their bodies work due to poor s-x education, and they tend to be split between thinking it's not true and willing it to not be true. So her denials may not necessarily be the clear-cut deception they appear to be. For girls age 12-21, this is unbelievably common. If I had just a penny for every one I've seen who won't believe it and will deny until the cows come home, I could buy a house with the money.
BULLSHIT! I’ve had 4 kids, the test to see if you are pregnant to know what they can give for pain meds and/or imaging. THEY GAVE HER MORPHINE! That baby was probably born alive but that morphine could have cause slowed/lowered the babies breathing and that could have caused the hypoxia….
But what’s gets me is they knew she was lying, they had a postive pregnancy test, and ended up still giving her morphine! AND phenermine which can also slowdown breathing. I would file a lawsuit too! Just because she’s in denial doesn’t mean she’s fully responsible for this one.
That's what shame does. People kill themselves out of shame every day. Like, seriously, you can shame someone for something they have no control over until they will kill themselves to hide it. Yet still American Christians think it's the way to go 😂
The reaction of the girl's mom during her arrest, completely explains why the teen girl did what she did. Narcissistic people seriously need to stop having kids. Narcissists are horrible parents, damage their kids, and can create more narcissists.
The teens at the 19 year old's school say SHE is a narcissist,, as well. I haven't heard anything pleasant or ingratiating about the young woman. She did what she did for VERY selfish reasons, and I hope she gets sentenced to LIFE for the LIFE she stole.
You uh, describing my family there? Cuz that’s what it sounds like. You’re absolutely right. My narcissistic parents absolutely did produce a narcissistic communist in my sister. Naturally, she’s always been the favored child cuz she’s “Princess”, and has accomplished nothing in her 34 years and still lives with mom and dad, who are too self absorbed to acknowledge that they fucked up their kids, and will not make her move out because that would require them to acknowledge that things are not all right.
What’s truly sad about this is that baby and mom had all of the medical support to have a healthy birth. She could have given the baby up for adoption or been honest. Truly heartbreaking ❤
This is an absolute nightmare. It reminds me of how that Patriots Tight End, Aaron Hernandez commited two murders thinking he was covering up his first murder. The day he was exonerated on the first murder, he committed suicide in jail because he realized he murdered two people for nothing.
@@ksfallenangel5770It really is. They’d prefer you to sign all the forms but they will work with you to keep it private and secret. This case reminds me of the Brooke Skylar Richardson case where she went to prom, then gave birth and buried the baby in her backyard. She was acquitted of aggravated murder and the lesser charges and was only convicted of abuse of a corpse. She was sentenced to 3 years probation from which she was released early. I think the big difference here that is going to negatively impact Alexee’s case is that she was already in a hospital when this happened. I don’t know how a jury will be able to get past that.
@@kevinlazo1207she CLAIMED it was stillborn. Everyone of these teens charged with killing their infants CLAIMS the baby was born dead. Cepeda, Mayo, Richardson, etc, etc.
I've seen pictures of Alexi before she gave birth and how no one knew blew my mind. She looked completely and totally pregnant. I can't believe after seeing those pictures that no one knew....there is just no way.
If daughter was abused then Mom’s priority might be helping her play dumb. She could be prosecuted under these new laws. If Mom is just trying to protect her child, then good for her.
Anyone who's seen the Teenager's cheerleader images/video (I have, it's obvious) will KNOW that there's NO WAY she wasn't obviously carrying that baby. How the Grandmother is surprised there's a baby is beyond me. IF she had genuinely not spotted the signs, something very odd about that relationship. The court case could be revealing if she doesn't plead guilty.
Apparently she was asked by multiple people if she was pregnant but she told them she was gaining weight from birth control. I think the mom knew but was in a denial because when the doctor comes in and tells her what’s going on she says “I told you to tell me the truth” which to me means that she had asked her about it.
@@Ash-kb9hn That's a reaction that is very telling on video and you have to suspect a defence will want to promote that her very poor decisions resulted, at least in part, from her domestic environment and upbringing ?
@@PirateCommander It will 100% be brought up in the defense. I think the only thing the defense can really say is how scared she was of her mother and that deluded her thinking. However, I do not think a jury is going to let her off that easily. What she did was pure evil and she’s an adult. She was in a hospital. She could’ve easily gotten the baby help and told the doctors and nurses to not tell her mother. Bottom line is, no matter what defense her attorneys come up with it is very unlikely she’s getting out of this. There are piles of evidence against her and there’s so many different choices she could’ve made that would’ve been easier than killing her own baby and stuffing it in a trash can when there were medical professionals trying to get into the bathroom to help her. She’s screwed.
@@Ash-kb9hn i bet she can beat the case with a good lawyer, the jury will have a hard time blaming her for having such a controlling mom.

Also a teacher. Same!
I would have never thought that toddlers were more dangerous than teens, so i dont understand this realisation lol
She hired one. He’s just as conniving as she is.
The dumb woman believed she was a virgin even after she was told she is pregnant.....no chance for this poor baby
It must not be a big deal people abort babies everyday

She probably told her to do it@@silvan_gold9343
Well if Texas didn’t have a ban against @b0rt!0n this wouldn’t have happened.
The mother asking WHY the police were there to arrest her daughter was just jaw-dropping. Why do you THINK, lady?
the fact she was allowed to block the warrant, which is illegal since her daughter is a 19 year old adult, is amazing. She could have been arrested or at least forced to move. Seriously. Active warrant is grounds for entering an open door.
Alexee! What else did you do? Do you wanna get in trouble?!
yeah, they are there to discuss her used car warranty.
The mom is the worse .. she didn’t help the situation
Her mom is the reason why she put the baby in the trash can in the first place.
What blows my mind is that she gave birth IN A HOSPITAL and still made this choice. She could've asked for help at any time and the baby would've survived. Hell, she could've left the baby on the bathroom floor for the staff waiting outside to see and he would've been okay!
Right?!
She could have gone to the hospital by herself or called her boyfriend to drive her there and as they said it’s a hospital with no questions asked
@debbiekelley9968 Her mother is a helicopter parent and would've likely killed HER for going without her consent. She's that unstable
And the staff wouldnt have said anything to the mom ! Would be her privacy
Thank you, exactly! Many teens are working jobs and going to high school. She knew better and there are absolutely no excuses!
Also at 19 you would ask for help knowing you are at a hospital, and that is what a hospital is there for. If the baby wasn't breathing, a normal person would ask for help, not throw it away, and never mention it !

I made noises that ive never heard another human make before. She mustve REALLLLLLLYYYY been afraid to tell her mother man. The only way she couldve repressed her screaming, had to have been just total fear of her family knowing. Ugh
She had gotten opioid drugs because of her "back pain".
I was thinking the same thing - the circumstances that led to this must have been so extreme! Unless of course she was just "sick" in some other intense way...but, otherwise, the family situation and fear this girl had must have been would have had to have been so dire!
Exactly. The fear of her mom was greater than anything.
Some people have an easier time during childbirth... mine was a nightmare but my sister in law had one strong contraction and popped her 1st one out. Her next 7 were even easier.. just saying... not everyone has difficult pregnancies or larbors.

She has a mural in her living room it says Alex with a baby blanket...it should have been a trash bag she is horrible and that grandparent is an awful liar

The hospital called the police to investigate. The mother is taking the position of believing and supporting her daughter. If you take it as fact that the baby was stillborn, you will understand why she is upset
Exactly this girl must be missing chromosomes or something
I am a year younger than Lexi, yet I know and HAVE KNOWN for most of my life that there is NOTHING wrong with losing your baby to stillbirth or things like SIDS for example, but I also know there is ABSOLUTELY something wrong mentally and legally with discarding your baby's body after, they are someone and need/legally deserve a death certificate and funeral.
Her classmates said she knew she was pregnant and even named her baby. she's one hell of a liar! can't wait for this to go into trial
This case is absolutely disgusting. They need to put her under the prison!!!! Never to see the light of day
She named him, has a shrine to him in her house, and has filed a wrongful death suit!!! She is a horrible human being!!!!
Yes, I did see the footage… thanks, a good point!
@@vields2352 oh, I have no doubt that she was terrified. But what kind of person does it take to let the fear of your mother’s judgment and consequence be more important, then the natural instinct to protect the child, that you just gave birth to?!? Bruce and Michael thank you for all the context of this story. I live in New Mexico and don't know much about the backgrounder. Thank you for explaining all the cases that you share. 😊
What blows my mind is that the so-called grandmother is only asking about her daughters arrest. She's not even upset about losing her grandchild. They both call him "it".
It's quit disgusting
I really love how you ALWAYS mention your very talented son, Michael….
So many of these stories have parents that barely acknowledge, let alone be their child’s (adult child) sincere cheerleader are so complimentary.
Nice.
Michael, we couldn’t hear these interesting stories without you. So, thank you for helping your Dad!

Um no. Most of these cases arent negligent parents: they're overbearing domineering parents. Absentee parents don't create these kinds of criminals. Overbearing do.

I agree. Giving credit where credit is due and building up self esteem. That’s a kind mentor & father.
Absolutely.
💯
She didn't say: "You understand what you did was horribly wrong", she said: "Do you remember that girls that do this go to jail."
I don't know, that just really rubbed me the wrong way.
She clearly doesn't care about the action, only how others will now precieve her as a mother.
It’s really bad parenting all around. 😢
Yeah her daughter literally murdered her grandchild and she's not the least bit mad about that. Mind boggling.

😔
It's my understanding they tried CPR when they found the baby. I wonder if this impacts the cause of death. Seems the point that will be the pivotal point in court.
@@rebeccaoliver7977 Unfortunately they didn’t. After freeing the baby from the plastic bag, they took him straight to a trauma room. They could tell he wasn’t breathing but the doctor (not the ER male doc) decided not to pursue life-saving measures deeming he was too far gone (no pulse, body already cooling) for a newborn.
However, I don't think that's really a defense when she was already in a hospital where doctors bring people back from the dead all the time and she was old enough to understand that
@@nowandaround312I would say that’s a far stretch considering that she went through far measures to hide the baby, yet alone throw him away like trash, that’s Not something an innocent person does to their own baby, if he wasn’t breathing or stillborn then she had nothing to hide

Not sure is the mom, or she’s just using the “I’m scared” card. I’m pretty sure she could of told her mom & together would of found another solution, maybe family will adopt or they would help them n both parents can parent together. I feel like she n he are selfish n thought the baby is an inconvenience, so, immature thinking, yes, out of sight out of mind. The least she could of done after delivering him is get help for baby not dispose of him. She wanted to get off scott free… They both “parents” should be charged.
Yeah looking at a 19 year old girl getting bullied by her mom in the middle of what is probably the most traumatic experience in her life really says a lot about what was happening at home for her.
I hope they can both become better people
@@sideways5153 that's what I saw too. It's like she's a robot following what she's being told. Honestly she seems like she's just going through the motions and her mother is making her every decision for her, instead of approaching with control of everything. I understand you want to protect your child but you need to start asking them what they want & explaining to them that after 18yrs old they have to learn to live without you sheltering them all the time. What I'm seeing is a 19yr old who is like a 15yr Olds mind still depending on her mother's permission to sit & speak when told to! I hate this happened, a little helpless baby has lost his life because of his mother's immaturity but I also think that the father of the baby should also be accountable for what happened too, her mother could also try to get some counselling too... she's just too full on protection mode yet, she hasn't even asked about her grandson!
I always told my sons that there would always be a place for one of their girlfriends and if an unplanned baby would be on its way, we would get things figured out.
The fact that she graduated and went to prom is sheer madness. she needs to be held accountable for her actions!

No. This adult suffocated her child. She is the ONLY one to blame. Do o think her mother is mother of the year? Obviously not but she didn’t kill her grandchild.
Thanks!

The boyfriend/ baby’s father is at the hospital too with his mother. When the police tell him what happened, you can tell from his reaction that they knew. Check it out. The teen’s poor stepfather was a wreck. So sad.

Where did you see the video?
Her friends are rolling on her hard.

I appreciate how you and your team handled this with empathy and compassion. Sad situation.
Sad and Infuriating!
Mother needs cuffed and stuffed period.
They did not even ask what gender the baby was! Inky concerned for and about themselves. Disgusting!!!!

Or is the thought that she wasn't aware of her pregnancy?

Ur an amazing grandmother
I am so glad to hear that you were there for your daughter.

The mother really thought she can bully and intimate the police. Imagine how she is with her children
At least she didn’t kill them lmaooo
@@mattsupachat5962oooofff
I read into this story. The mother was manipulative and controlling. If her daughter was in school (which she was at this time), the mother saw her as a little 12-year-old (even though she's 19). That's why the mother acted the way she did
*EDIT:* The autopsy of the baby showed it was alive and capable of living outside the womb, so the baby was definitely crying when it came out. This girl's lawyer is currently contesting it.
I imagine she put her hand over that poor baby's mouth as soon has he gasped his 1st breath to prevent the sounds of his cry😢😢😢
But the
1. Lying
2. Hiding the body
3. Actively refusing help at every stage
Really doesn’t look good.
I also believe I read that she may have 100% known she was pregnant before she gave birth or at least had a LOT of reason to believe she was pregnant and just chose to do this anyway.

She's more concerned about her daughter having sanitary products than justice being served
and also , in the hospital, Rosa says "we talked about this!!". She knew.
That kind of judgment specific to religion is messed up!
This man is so precious for hyping his son up every single video - literally so sweet

Cop: she is an adult we can't tell you why she is getting arrested
Mom: I undestand that
Procedes to show she doesnt understand that.
Pregnancy tests detect HCG Levels
Sexual Education appears to be sadly lacking in some American schools
This is so sad. She could have asked a nurse for help, told them to take her baby to a safe place ..... it's mind blowing
Explains, doesn't excuse.
@coffee8599 of course. There is no justification for the teens actions!

She could have just handed it to a nurse and say she doesn't want her Mom to know and it would have been whisked away.

Yes. Hospital is a “safe haven” .
Yup
And also autopsy shows the baby was born alive. Richardsons baby was stillbirth

The mom coddles her too much and you can tell she’s very controlling. Treating her daughter like a child is what got her into this mess.
Which is another indication that the mother knew all along!!!
