Another thing I've heard about the cleaning woman who found the baby was that she witnessed her husband's suicide a few years before, and even her therapist suggested not taking the hospital cleaning job because of her former trauma. The poor lady has seen so much.

My daughter at 14 or 15 was told that she couldn't go to a party because she was on restriction for the weekend. Her solution was to pack a small bag with her ",party clothes" , jump out of a third floor window onto hard, frozen ground and to run away for weeks. Unbelievable!

I'm raising 4 teenage girls, please pray for me😅 2 are stepdaughters that have lived with us fulltime for 11 yrs. That statement about teenagers being more dangerous could not be any truer. My stepdaughter will be 18 in 2 wks & we're counting down the days. She has run away more times than we can count & made our home unbearable for EVERYBODY. She ran away a few mths ago, the cops say they can't make her come home, but DSS showed up last wk saying we're medically neglecting her bc it's still our responsibility to provide her diabetic supplies. Seems to me she should be making amends with her dad & coming home but instead she called DSS on us🤯 There's so many stories I could tell that would blow your mind. Her sister & all 4 of my kids function just fine, they're respectful, make good grades, do what's expected of them & they relay that to DSS everytime but that doesn't detour them from opening another investigation everytime she does this. They've been to our house 8 times in past year, open investigation, talk to all the kids, us, check our home & close it. This girl is in for a rude awakening.

How she could sue the hospital for wrongful death when she intentionally never received prenatal care is astonishing. Her family deserves every second of embarrassment- this is what happens when you never hold your child accountable and raise them to fear you and place your emotions above their own.
I was a teen mother- it was terrifying, isolating, and emotionally exhausting but I chose to keep my child and have done everything in my power since that day I found out to take care of my child. I have a daughter the exact same age. The denial of reality in both mother and daughter is unbelievable. This is the result of a mother who has made her child terrified of her. Rather than having a relationship where the child feels comfortable with coming to you no matter what, the mother made it where she's terrified of disappointing her mother. The cheer video makes it a thousand percent obvious Alexii was pregnant.

When my older sister was 19 she got pregnant and didnt tell our parents for 8 months. When she did our mum was supportive but my dad didnt talk or look at her at all. He was so angry at her. But then she gave birth and there was a beautiful baby in front of us all and my Dads anger just melted away. You see thats the thing about babies, There so easy to fall in love with. Its heartbreaking to know that if this woman had just told someone everything EVENTUALLY would have been ok. They would have all found a way. A new normal that would (however it began) involve a lot of happiness. My Dad absolutely adored my sisters baby. Like i said the anger just melted away from him. When my nephew died of SIDS at 9months it absolutely broke the whole family. The grief was so powerful. Because babies, they're just so easy to fall in love with. And the love is real

That baby was my grandchild regardless who was the father or under what circumstances was conceived. Today she is a beautiful young girl that Im very proud of. As a seasoned nurse , I’ll give what’s probably an unpopular opinion . First, pregnant teens in denial have more disconnected thoughts than anyone you’ll ever meet ! Second, the hospital certainly has liability- I’m not sure at what point the hospital notified her that she was pregnant, but any ER I’ve worked in has several golden rules !! One is that a pregnant female with belly pain could be in labor (delivering a live baby, stillborn, miscarriage, etc) …and the sudden urge to 💩 is a classic sign ! Not everyone delivers at 9 months !! Why they let her walk down the hallway into a bathroom alone is mind boggling for me as a seasoned ER RN 😳 ! I have witnessed pregnant teens do many unthinkable things when the pregnancy comes to term …you DO NOT leave them alone ! That said …it’s a sad situation all the way around . Some day this will haunt that girl …and not just for the legal reasons. Her mother needs to stop interfering, that’s why the daughter is the way she is …she never let her grow into a decision making young adult !
Edit : I’m NOT saying she & her mom are not to blame, far from that ! She made a choice in that bathroom & mom was floating on some River of Denial ! But from experience …teenagers who are pregnant will do ALL kinds of crazy things when the pregnancy is ending and they will be “found out”. I’ve seen babies/fetuses of all gestational ages delivered and placed in plastic bags, large coffee cans, anything they can find ! Their denial makes their labors unusual- I had one deliver in her pants on the school bus on the ride to school and NOT 1 person knew until they all got up and saw blood . To the point of her not being in the bathroom alone - she was acting suspicious & the ER knew she was pregnant from the urine preg test that takes 1-2 min to run. The blood test was to get a quantitative # (that is used later to determine if it’s an early pregnancy & a possible miscarriage is happening , because the # will be checked days after the ER visit to see if it rises/falls . This is when it’s EARLY and too soon for an ultrasound) ! A young girl with a + preg test who’s in denial needs to be watched ! They may do a lot of crazy things when it comes time to deliver …when it’s in a ER’s restroom while she’s a patient , it’s their responsibility ! Another example …when cops/jails faced too much litigation for drunks who died in their custody because they could vomit/aspirate OR roll over & compress their own airway and stop breathing ….they all started getting dumped into ER’s for us to “observe” until they were sober ! Many of them lied said they only had “1 drink “ . It was our responsibility as nurses to keep them safe while in the ER , no matter how busy or short staffed ! If they fell because we let them go to the bathroom alone, it would be our fault ! Negligence is a very broad term that defines what nurses/hospital staff SHOULD do, regardless of policy, staffing, etc !!
Point is …#1 pregnant teens in denial are completely unpredictable! So never say never to how they may deliver or what they may do !
#2 - the hospital has a liability to keep their patients safe AND it’s up to the ER staff to be sure they don’t do things that knowingly jeopardize patient safety , no matter how short staffed or busy they are !
#3- she is at fault for what she did, but there is also responsibility for the facility for how it was handled ! If she hemorrhaged/died while in that bathroom too …the family would be suing !
#4- Working in an ER isn’t like any other place! While patients come in non-stop because there’s no appointments , patients like her have to be “watched” and kept safe while you still care for those who come in with heart attacks, overdoses, cardiac arrest, strokes, etc …IYKYK !

Whatever you said ofcourse absolutely true. In this case, when the girl arrived at the hospital or ER, when she was asked about pregnancy she mentioned that she never had sex and isnt pregnant. From what I understand looking at the interrogation videos and body cam footage for this case, they were waiting on blood results and during that interval this person went to restroom, and she said she was on a period. If not for the lady who checked the trash , it would have been something else. Also she/Alexee mentioned to the hospital that she was on weightloss pills possibly Phentermine as she claimed to the entire school that she was getting fat and whenever someone remotely suggested anything , her mom and Alexee accused them of body shaming, this came from some of the students who were cheerleading with her, most of this was either posted by them in reddit or tik tok, and they were verified as well.also there are videos of her cheerleading few days before she went into labor. And there is this whole thing about what she did to the placenta and umblical cord, remember she walked out of the bathroom as if nothing happened after giving birth and trashing the new born, and she claimed it was her periods. And the most insane part is how did her mother not suspect a thing for 9 months .. thats even more ridiculous. All in all they are all delusional.

But I agree …they are all delusional !! You can’t force them onto their back for a vaginal exam …but someone accompanying her into the restroom for “her safety” would be imperative! I’m sure she would have protested that as well …but it would have been necessary for her safety (and obviously the baby’s life)! Some things have to happen in the ER due to safety, litigation, etc. If she really protested …I would have sent mom in with an employee outside the door. They knew she was pregnant, the urine test was positive. I’m just pointing out that it can be a liability of the hospital in her trial … because as ER nurses we have to “know better”. Trust how many times we’ve heard “…but I’m not even having sex “! I had a patient once who hid the weight well and wore a bikini all summer long…and then delivered a healthy full term baby while her parents were still registering her ! As others have said TV has made something very normal seem abnormal - many babies don’t come out crying and they need to be giving a little stimulation. It doesn’t mean they aren’t breathing, but it’s harder to tell if they are breathing until they cry.
I would be curious to know if they can argue that the baby wasn’t crying and she didn’t know it was alive (aka due to her lack of education she thought the baby was dead) if they could plead the case down from murder. If the prosecution can’t prove she knowingly caused the baby to die.

What hits me is that the mom wasn't surprised or upset at all. Her outrage was completely fake. She knew the whole time and let her daughter go through all that alone. Maybe she was in denial but she knew. This happens a lot in religious families, with the daughter denying that she had sex and trying to keep the pregnancy a secret. Often the mom will be complicit to hide it from dad or the community. Ugh I can't even she's straight performing for the audience it's gross.

I watched the interviews with the hospital personnel done at the moment (candid responses, no prep). A nurse explained that they had to run a SECOND more detailed pregnancy test. That was because Alexee kept denying that she was pregnant. They needed to rule out a false positive due to another reason for her hormone leves high enough to trigger the positive result.
The first pregnacy test is a simple yes/no based on the amount of estrogen in the urine (which in 99% of cases means pregnancy). The second test would indicate the actual amount of hormones. They were waiting for the results of the second test while all this happened.

I work in an ED/ER and, honestly, I get the exact same situation with every teen who comes in - to the point where we run the more detailed pregnancy test first now, because it saves time. Most of these kids are in denial, half of them don't understand how their bodies work due to poor s-x education, and they tend to be split between thinking it's not true and willing it to not be true. So her denials may not necessarily be the clear-cut deception they appear to be.
For girls age 12-21, this is unbelievably common. If I had just a penny for every one I've seen who won't believe it and will deny until the cows come home, I could buy a house with the money.

But what’s gets me is they knew she was lying, they had a postive pregnancy test, and ended up still giving her morphine! AND phenermine which can also slowdown breathing. I would file a lawsuit too! Just because she’s in denial doesn’t mean she’s fully responsible for this one.

However, I do not think a jury is going to let her off that easily. What she did was pure evil and she’s an adult. She was in a hospital. She could’ve easily gotten the baby help and told the doctors and nurses to not tell her mother. Bottom line is, no matter what defense her attorneys come up with it is very unlikely she’s getting out of this. There are piles of evidence against her and there’s so many different choices she could’ve made that would’ve been easier than killing her own baby and stuffing it in a trash can when there were medical professionals trying to get into the bathroom to help her.
