The extra mode makes everything before it feel like a cakewalk, my God. Literally took me all day just to get through a handful of levels. The top-tier music loop helps me stay sane, at least. Plus, it's the first time I've ever seen the game over cut scene thing that plays if you die too many times in a short period of time. Fortunately, you can also cancel it by button mashing, lol
@@DenpaCake yup - die too often, don't do anything to continue, and Gray will have a final death that persists through to the "English | Suomi" screen.

i finally figured out how to rip the tracks for myself, and i have to say: the trick the devs used to obsfucate the tracks got me *good*. i only realized something was up after accidentally letting one of the tracks play out for a few minutes after I thought it was done.
@@qwaffles_ I guess it's fine to spoil now, since anyone who would've tried it themselves would've done it already and everyone else is just waiting for the official release. So, there were 2 nondescriptively named sound files when opening up the game files: msc_looptest and msc_test2. Playing them would yield this goofy little jingle : ua-cam.com/video/RYFbcBSygmg/v-deo.html The tool I used to look through the files had a very simple sound player, which is what I was using to look through each file one by one because all of the filenames didn't match their OST titles - it was all stuff like DIS' theme being just "endless.wav". most importantly, it didn't show current time in the track or track length at all. So, I would be looking through the files, passing by looptest and test2 and clicking away after a few seconds assuming they were either testfiles or a joke from the developers to people looking through the files like me. And then I would hit the end of the list, and be confused all over again because there's no way the EX theme just isn't here - these are *all* the music files, and there's no way would name it under the sounds just to fool the few dataminers like me... And then, by chance, EX started playing after I left the datamine tool to sit for a bit. I was so confused! , and I was looking through volume mixer to confirm the audio source and that I didn't just accidentally play the youtube video again. It wasn't until I decided to just export all of the music files that I noticed a discrepancy : msc_looptest and msc_test2 were 9 minute long tracks. I opened them in VLC, clicked at a spot somewhere 6 minutes in the file, and yup. They created this goofy 30 second long hardstyle jingle, set it at the start of a 9 minute long audio file, left 4 minutes of silence, then put in the real tracks at 5 minutes in. If dogbonk ua-cam.com/video/IDorig57r8k/v-deo.html releases with DELTARUNE chapters 3 & 4, be sure to check that it really is just a 30 second long wav file and that it isn't hiding Toby's next magnum opus... (also, I haven't found the track for layers 2 or 4 yet, so... system erasure may still have won one over on me.)
@@qwaffles_There used to be four songs in the game files since release, named msc_sendoff, msc_test2, msc_looptest and msc_ending2 All of them were just a silly short 8-bit loop. But with the 1.1 update, after that short 8-bit song ends in the music files, each of those files contains a few minutes of silence followed by the new songs of this update. So they were likely hidden with data miners in mind.

Thank you for this, truly. I'm just vibing out in 4 different layers of the same music edit: I've also noticed why the leitmotif sounds familiar. In the 4th layer, it has the faint sound of the ambient sounds you hear when you have the cube
Hey. Could I ask where you got the animation of Gray in the footage from? I think it could make for a pretty cool animated wallpaper since it loops well.

glad they kept the piano peaking the audio
It takes a peak game to peak the audio like that 😩😩😩🙏🙏🙏

I like how this background in particular represents both of EX's main endings, very nice touch!
Probably the best song in the game ngl
thanks for the upload
i will likely never get past the first layer of this ex shit so thanks for lettin me hear the secret songs anyhow
Finished everything last night including that fun "impossible" thing. Super cool update and thanks for the upload that told me it existed
after finishing the mode it makes sense that this song reminds me of the theme of a certain lord…

Doing the "out of bounds" level ending during EX mode where you punch the weird thing in the black void here actually supports this
