I can't believe what you turned that frumpy little piece of furniture into. It takes me right back to the 60's and the Beatles. The whole time you were creating it, Ringo's song, An Octopuses Garden was running on a loop in my brain. I wasn't sure about the big flowers from Decked out in Deco because I was afraid it would cover too much of the paper beneath, but as usual, you knew what you were doing. You turned that green flower into a painted lady who fit in perfectly.I don't know how you do this. I honestly don't. You've got one helluva of an eye. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the dots and the circles around the dots. You can never have enough dots as far as I'm concerned. I burst out laughing--loud laughing--when I saw you painting the stamps about two minutes after you said you weren't going to paint them. When I watch the two of you together and listen to all the teasing and laughter, I always feel as if I've dropped in on a really great party. Thank you both so much for this. What an all around pleasure. xooxox (My emojis don't work)
Stop! just long enough to say I think your philosophy about fun is spot on. If it ain't fun why bother? As a retired preschool teacher I can say it's all about play and building skills lol❤
Hi ya Lel and Martyn You’ve done it again girl ! When I think yep that last one was my favourite. This piece is ABSOLUTELY! GORGEOUS! ❤❤ All the colours and ❤all the ways you use the decoupage paper . I’m so glad you painted the leaves on top I totally agreed you just can’t leave them like that 🤞❤️Everything about this Special piece, and the feet and those knobs ❤❤ Thanx guys for this Brilliant tutorial. Take care guys till next time ❤ya’s
My second time viewing this amazing demonstration, and its as if I never viewed it before! So much to take in. How grand to see how you cut and pasted your papers to fit your piece. Then on top of this patchwork you began adding painted highlights, along with outlining and using even more pattern with your paint pens. Whew, I was exhausted even if you weren't. Filled to the brim with your amazing style. You do things that would ever occur to me, and I doubt whether I''ll ever be the artist you are. I'll keep going, having learned so much from you. As much as I want to replicate your techniques, I do not want my pieces to be an imitation of yours. I need to find my own style, which will take time. Hopefully, it will show up... No doubt in six months I can watch this video again and learn even more. Kisses to you. Sydni
I think it's taken me many years to find my own style and much trial and many errors.... 🤣 Yes I do remember this one bring very exhausting as the layers seemed to go on for a while..... Much love Lel x
Hello from Holland Martyn and Lesley . As a furniture restyler and collageaddict i was very excited to find this video. I made 20 decoupaged vases, a couple with indian/ buddhism theme( i bought all of the old existing Happinez magazines you know them right?) I,m sure you,ll like them ( decoupaged inside and out) and also nature and renaissance style. I have cut thousands of pictures with braindamage and burnout ( quite impossible but i did it anyway) it was a good therapy I made nearly 100 designs ment for wrapping paper, posters and made my own designs ment for wallpaper and postcards. Too bad that i don,t have the financial resources to start this business project. Awesome that you,ve created your own decoupagepapers and furniture business , which i certainly will buy later on if you ship to Holland. Sorry for the long message but i,m just excited and inspired by you , well done ✌️❤
Never think that showing us your painting is boring...I'm even inspiredly inspired to do my own nails! You have no idea how you and Martyn really are a movement! LovLovLov it all!!!!!!!
Never a dull moment with Lel and Martyn! Love this one , but that is what I say every time! You are so talented. Thanks for the great tutorials and inspiration.
Your vision for different pieces just amazes me over and over. You add and add layers to create beautiful pieces, most of us are to afraid to let loose and create as freely as you do, love it all, ty Lel and Martin for great videos!
I love how you layer your papers and add to them with stamps and hand painted details! It is always inspiring to watch as the whole piece comes together🥰 It’s like the moment you finally complete a Rubik’s Cube and every color is in the right order! Course I will never know that thrill. I can’t even get my ducks in a row most days so solving the Rubik’s Cube is definitely not in my future😄
Cassandra I can't and have never been able to complete a rubiks cube. My brother could complete it by the end of Christmas day when we were young....me I couldn't fathom it ha ha 🤣❤️
You are quite the night owl... Do you allow yourself to sleep-in in the morning? This piece certainly shows off your beautiful and very unique decoupage papers. Of course, I want to run and get the papers you used on this piece! No doubt I'll eventually end up with your whole collection!!! (yikes!) So hard to choose just one, or two...or three... What do I spend most of my money on? Buying supplies. Not clothes, or shoes, I just buy the basic necessities, like food. Instead, I splurge on molds, paint, stamps, decoupage papers, etc., etc. Not to mention over buying furniture that my husband demands that I not buy another piece until I can get rid of what I already have. Good luck with that... I'll probably sneak in something that I just couldn't resist owning. Honestly, I have to force myself not to look at FB Marketplace, or take a step inside a second-hand store - sigh... I do miss the hunt. This beautiful piece you created right before our eyes will undoubtedly sell quickly, how could it not? I anticipate your Saturday videos all week long. Honestly, there are many talented furniture artists, but none like you. Your pieces are worthy of being shown in an art gallery. See ya next week! Much love, Sydni
Oh sydni I'm just as bad I don't care for fashion but I do love paint. I love material to create. Yes I'm a night owl and no I don't sleep in I just don't need a huge amount of sleep. Marty however does ha ha All my love and thanks sydni your one of my followers who has been with us from very early on and you stuck with our nonsense. Love lel X ❤️
It works with my papers as they are robust. Remember if your using a napkin or tissue paper paint your piece first to get the colours to shine ...when I developed mine I made sure that you didn't have to paint 🎨
Another phenomenal creation! Love your playful artistic freedoms! The use of paint-markers, and stamp-paint-stamp, and painting small details on the decoupage designs…are all brilliant techniques! You two bring so much JOY with your videos! 💗🌿🇮🇳 🌿🇮🇳🌿🇮🇳🌿💗
@@MadebyMarley I have not tried the double stamping but I plan on trying it next project. So many things flying around in my head! You are such an inspiration. Thank you!❤️
Another masterpiece Marley. I love watching your crazy way of decoupaging. But in the end of the day it turns out beaut. Love it. I wish I had your creative way you choose colours that compliment each other together. 🤗😀
I love the wrinkly bits. It makes for uncontrolled mayhem that I like and some interest. Hahaha. I'm not painting them in. I knew you would. I love it. 🥰🥰🥰

What a beauty, it makes my day to see a new video & the colours really pop & what you did with the leaf/flower is so clever. The small piece beside it looks gorgeous too 👌❤️ thanks both
This is definitely one of my favorite pieces you’ve done yet! I love when you do the BoHo/Indian look. The background color you chose for the majority of the piece, the blue green was my favorite sample you did, and as always, you made the perfect choice. I love how you basically have this idea in your head, and then you create as you go along and you aren’t afraid to change your thoughts along the way and it always seems to be for the better. The sides of this piece actually made me think a little bit of a beautiful stain glass window. I love it when you do hardware like this. Those knobs just look like they were made for it. Thanks for taking us along as you create. I just love you and Martin., Who you are how you work together and you make me laugh and smile through the whole process. Normally a project like this would’ve stressed me out but you really made it fun and enjoyable. But still if I was doing it, I’d probably be a bit stressed out. Lol. But I’ll remember what you said “it’s important to have fun with it and enjoy yourself.” I’m so thankful that I discovered your channel a while back because I look forward every Sunday to seeing what you magnificently create with your husband again. Bless you guys and thank you.
Awww that message as always so kind and thoughtful. Just don't get stressed slow it dow, don't rush do parts that make you anxious in stages ....and I promise if your having fun it all goes well. Love lel X ❤️

Fabulous work, as always, Lel. I love the Indian-inspired theme. I know exactly what you mean when you refer to the buses. 😊 The colours all work so well together and make a vibrant, textural piece from a very staid piece of Stag! I think I might christen that lovely orangey colour you created, coral. Your découage papers are going from strength-to-strength btw. You and Martin make a great team in your videos, which are such a tonic... 🤗🇮🇳

I love the blue and orange! I love the leaf/green paint/restamp! How can we get inspiration? Can you tell us in the beginning of your vid’s what inspired you, a piece of fabric, a location, a feeling…sometimes I look at my stash and I’m like clueless as where to start.
Wait wait, so I just watched what you did with the top of this piece which was sooo awesome creative with vintage whimsy. This is looking super fun too. I'm seeing that your papers are inspirational, versatile, and lively with color AND they look tough!! Do you sell these? Are there stockists in the US? Now I'll go watch the rest of this tutorial out in my Poultry yard. You'd be surprised how often theses birds seem interested in art 😂😂❤
Hi Katharine, It's Martyn, yes we sell our papers and no I'm not surprised about your birds. We have had chicken before and they are the nosiest cheeky things with an apparent keen interest in just about anything we do. We have several stockists in the US. If you let me know where you are I would be more than happy to point you in the direction of your closet one. Lel says hello and thanks for the wonderful comments xx
Hi Katharine, we are in the process of getting a new stockist a litte closer to you but in the mean time I think the closet would be Just South or Urban. www.justsouthofurban.com Hope this helps Martyn
I love this piece. I have a question. On your website , Feeling groovy looks more green than it does in your video, which on is more accurate? Thanks again for your superb tutorials.
If your looking at the website it will be a truer reflection as my photos are under studio lights ... however this being said all colours are never 100 percent like the reality as no cameras or lighting or natural light even can truly show like the real life paper in front of you. . it's more turquoise veering towards blue ish does this help?
Hi there you can watch any of my videos and I use mod podge I used to use lacquer with thinner paper like tissue or napkins but die to developing my paper to be easier to use it's slightly heaving and more robust so after many trials mod podge worked best. If you have a look at the back of the card in the papers there are instructions on how to get best results Hope this helps and happy creating. Love lel X ❤️
Too funny Martin having a bit of fun at your expense...more is more Martin, lol
Ha ha ha he thinks he's hilarious ha ha 🤣
Great advice: "It's better to have fun." Ooooo, the legs are cute. Thank you!

@Made by Marley Hi Martyn, I'm in Partlow, Virginia, USA . That's close-ish to Richmond and Fredericksburg.
Hi Katharine, we are in the process of getting a new stockist a litte closer to you but in the mean time I think the closet would be Just South or Urban. www.justsouthofurban.com
Hope this helps

@@MadebyMarley thanks Martyn 😊 I'll go check them out.
@@MadebyMarley Thank you for taking the time to answer. and I do understand your answer. It HELPED!
Hi just received your papers. Do you have to use modpodge to stick them on? Can't wait to try them out. As always love the piece and the video
Hi there you can watch any of my videos and I use mod podge I used to use lacquer with thinner paper like tissue or napkins but die to developing my paper to be easier to use it's slightly heaving and more robust so after many trials mod podge worked best.
If you have a look at the back of the card in the papers there are instructions on how to get best results
Hope this helps and happy creating.
