He has made his career on a science show teaching people and kids about science but he is not a scientist and just knows how to recite lines about science. Bill nye is a fake and a fraud, im sorry. I started with Mr. Wizzard with Don Herbert when I was 7 on Nickelodeon (who was doing his show, since the 60's)... moved into Beakman's World at 11 on CBS Saturday morning's (almost noon) and Bill Nye on PBS at 13. None of them are scientists. But they're certainly teachers of millions on kids, who loved their shows. I'm sorry your generation wasn't as lucky. Same thing goes for all fields of science and engineering, they're under the same branches but in quite different fields. They work with each other in order to accomplish something. History could explain why there are skeletons inside that soil, Geography could explain where they're located, Physics could explain in what concentration of elements are there and Biology could further examine it with the help of Chemistry. It's pretty self-explanatory, really.

@@DroughtBee engineers aren't scientists. They apply science they don't research or develop hypothesis. They make things using scientific knowledge relating to their engineering field
@@yip0p Engineers are experimentalists. You don't need to be developing groundbreaking theories to be considered a scientist. The vast majority of physicists are experimentalists who apply science and don't necessarily develop new science -- yet they are still considered scientists.
@@yip0p they need to research to have knowledge, they arent born with it. and LITERALLY every time something has been engineered its with the hypothesis that "this device might work" or "this thingy wableedoos" so if those are the only ways you may separate an engineer from a scientist, i'd say its an inefficacious way of telling the difference.
The point Bill was trying to establish is: Everyone can be a scientist. Everyone has the ability to be a scientist no matter what you do.
Especially if you have an engineering degree that requires a deep understanding of physics
