"I got this; I want this" is such a beautiful little bit. I can't explain why, but that bit alone just wows me. It feels like confidence. Not the cocky sort, or the arrogant sort, but it says that there's nowhere you'd feel more comfortable than right here, right now.
This was exactly my feeling. I'm glad somebody was able to put it into words. There's just this absolutely self assured tone to this song that screams confidence and self acceptance.
It feels the opposite to me. This song is about Chai finally getting his rockstar moment all to himself, but that line seems to be a slight betrayal to his confidence. It feels like a slip that shows that he doesn't truly believe that he can do it alone, hinting at the character growth he'll have throughout the game when he learns to accept help from the friends he makes.
@@tuSpartanDady Which is honestly the best way to release a game, if you can do it imo. Your you still have to deliver a good game ofc, but you don't have to worry about fullfilling/disappointing expectations.

I appreciate you uploading all of these tracks. It's a shame how none of these were anywhere to be found online, especially since it's a rythym game. Kind of crazy it took 2 whole days.
@@supersmily5811 I'm not sure if what you're saying is that it took so long because people had to beat the game before they could upload the ost or you think Tango/Bethesda was copyright claiming anyone who did upload it. Freaking for real. As I heard the vocals kick in on the beats of my attacks landing I realised "This is some of the best combat I've experienced ever."
I may be misinterpreting the lryics of the song, But this really does feel like 'Chai's Theme'. Or in general it's a song that represents his attitude and approach to most things in life: he has no plan, But he's going to take on life's problems head on. Even if it may not be a good idea. Or it could just be showing his state of mind after receiving his musical powers: he's on cloud nine and he feels like nothing can stop him. XD
Not only that, it literally kicks in right after The Rush: As *The Rush* plays, Chai is in a literal rush - overwhelmed by his new abilities, losing his mind at the fact that he's a running fugitive with and pumps adrenaline But at the point when *I Got This* starts playing, Chai is already confident in what he's learned in combat, gained a companion (adding to his confidence) and felt out that a lot of falling doesn't kill him. He's high on his self-assurance and the only thing on his mind, regardless what's ahead is "I got this". The uncontrollable "rush" has ended, making way for certainty. Absolutely perfect
@@jpjfrey5673 Well there you go! Guess it really goes to show that the devs thought of everything. I would love some sort of (non canon) teaser for Tango and Hi-Fi Rush’s return with a gravestone at the center of the screen and suddenly: Chai jumps right out of it and says those exact words
Glad to see tango finally make a japanese "feeling" game rather than a by the numbers western influenced one. Feels more in their element, something they would of done during the clover studios days.
