- In this video, Rik (lead animator) recaps a few weeks of work of the animation department, as they research an appealing and believable animation style for some of the robots in the Project Heist.
All tests are available at studio.blender.org.
That last fight animation is just 🤤 bravo!
Animations look pretty good already Rik! Can't wait for the final result of this project
I feel it the walkcycle should still include *some* leftright movement and the feet should be centered more when they contact with the ground, as even a robot has to obey the laws of physics, and not accounting for that would make it fall to the side. It has to balance its weight onto a single foot at a time and that's really missing from your tests here, which otherwise look cool.
I'm loving the design and animation!
it really reminds me like a realistic version of bots from The Mitchells vs The Machines
Super hyped for the project! 🤘Keep these coming
I love that punch combo at the end. :)
When your "research" is something production ready... 👀
Honestly though, better than some's "final"s :D
Gorgeous work and research! Absolutely loving these videos with your thoughts and process, thanks for sharing!
I can't wait to explore these blend files in the studio cloud. My mind is blown!
Amazing job Rik! Excited to see what you guys do in the future!
coming along nicely . love it
Hello blender studio,When left-clicking on the 3dwindow in Blender

I would love to know how the thought process that goes into designing the robot transformation
I would love to learn how the rigging technic you used
Народ а будут ещё приключения после событий sprite fright?
Wow animation looks really cool!
This looks Awesome
ROBOT ANIMATION RESEARCH - PROJECT HEIST
great video
I have many robots, and recently I tried Rigify. It's tricky to rig a robot as Rigify will output errors it everything is straight angled. It wants a slight angle with elbows and knees. So either you angle your robot or put straight angles on your bones after generating your rig.
Pumped for this
I can't wait 😊
Nice!!
I am newbie and making animation is so tuff for me but i know i have blender i one a day it is possible to making animation for me ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks Blender
Looks like "The mote in Gods eye" is also a reference - the 3 arms.. I hope you do that novel as a movie some day.
That fight with the glow test... Its a bot, it can swap the use of hands and feet and work upside down. Why impose human limitations / thought processes on it ?
Could we use blender in realme book slim i3 variant....
Looks realistic ya need make textures and nm
hey you create hair polygonal in viewport but in render normal hair real i am have idea from create but your ¿added from default? sorry my english
Cool bro how to animate kids animation
Second!!
is it be possible with gnode a the upcoming physic part to enable a gismo that show the animator a out of stability momentum gismo and guides the rigger with a Gravity movment calculation guider to creat and see real World animation ..how a animator would know how a real robot behave beliveable and do more Real scale World movment...
or can animation after cacullated with physics to test simulated real word Gravity forces ...f.e...
