Skooch, I highly recommend getting to the end game. It is a whooooole different game once you do. Once you do, you'll hopefully find out that your 150 poison damage will feel like child's play when you get better.
Noita was so boring, the actual gameplay feels so slow and clunky, i get the lore and immense content in it is appealing, but its so hard to get past the rubbish gameplay
Noita is good, but the problem is it's convolutedly good it'd take hours of experimentation and much more trial and error until you can make enough progress compared to Magicraft
I modded it to allow me to modify my wands whenever I wish, and I believe I struck the right amount of tomfoolery I'm able to do with it that it's enjoyable for me
@@Bob-lf6icyour problems with the game are some peoples favorite part about it. While it is possible to play Noita fast just by pouring Ambrosia on yourself then getting a hard enough hitting wand to burst kill enemies. It’s meant to be played a little slower than your average roguelike. Exploring to find liquids you can store and mix for alchemy, minmaxing your gold to be able to buy whatever wand or spells you want to tinker your dream wand, and checking out secrets to get some good rewards to strengthen yourself up in your current run or if you die then *knowledge* for your next. And if Perma death is holding back the enjoyment for Noita because nothing sucks more then dying in this game especially, then there’s a mod to remove that, rather setting you back a small bit. Making it feel like a game of Minecraft or Terraria instead
I’ve actually been playing this game for about 8 months now and can safely say this game is fantastic. It’s like noita for dumb people (aka me). Never have i felt that I died to some random bullshit. The game is actually suprisingly balanced and incredibly fun to play.
I've already got it now over a week or so ago, put in 88 hours and done basically everything. Was very much worth the price and switching of my sleep pattern due to addiction.
I had a similar build on an early run, except all my wands were automated, and I just needed to focus on dodging; That was the first run I won. I also had a run where I would shoot multiple lasers at a very fast rate, each splitting into smaller lasers, after bouncing between multiple targets. I have a tip; keep a "summon wand" handy with some sort of automation, so you don't have tosummon everything as much before each battle, and in the middle of it when the summons expire. I think this game should add buffs which boost your stats across all wands temporarily when cast, but cost mana unlike the per-wand boosts
I like how the enemies movement is procedurally generated like in games like Rain World, makes the combat so smooth. Ontop of that, the AI seems pretty inteligent. The fact that you can mix all these things together also stands out, you could have multiple builds for different situations and go from a crowd-controller that takes out alot of smaller enemies with continuous damage to a boss-buster that hits with a massive projectile
The art style is really interesting when you look at it properly. It's like a mix between paper-like games like Don't Starve and chibi-monster games like Clicker Heroes. It really works
this games magic crafting system reminds me of an older indie title still in development yall may be interested in, its called planet centauri and while its dev teams small and updates are very spaced out its got a very novel and detailed magic system that has tons of potential, its like a 2d two worlds 2. also its terraria style game similer to starbound before it. on top of the complex magic crafting theyres also a monster catching riding sommuning and transformation system.
I love this game! I created a wand that fires slow moving magic orbs that fire tracking poison lasers. Absolutely hilarious what broken combos you can create in this game.
The best build i find would have to be the grimoire, umbilical cord, pop build with all other slots filled with troll blood, especially if you can get the double summon special relic for no hitting a chapter boss: 3/6 grimoires connected to you, and 5/10 pops connected to each grimoire, and all of them healing and dealing extra damage thanks to the troll blood
I had a sword blender build with the offhand proc wand, where I would have a spider summon drain enemies. Whenever it did, it would cast a low mana cost spell, which would fire my offhand wand that swings a sword in front of me (which clears bullets) so I could protect my drain bud from getting shot at.
if you like this game i HEAVILY recommend noita it's got a very similar wand-crafting system, paired with a world reminiscent of a metroidvania where every pixel is simulated which means that every single pixel can burn, explode, flow or melt you (depending on the circumstances)
Yeah Noita is really good here's a list of great things about Noita (for like somebody who didn't have many games growing up well i think that's the condition you need to unlock one game long term mode) 1. death death and more death with each death teaching you something 2. You'll have a lot of fun tinkering with your wands 3. Honestly I would be way more hyped about this if it not for the fact that Noita is basically the LSD, crack, meth induced daughter of a sandbox game and roguelikes.
The soul robes are the best. The wands all do their own thing. Have the radar buff giving all wands 1 thing in first place and if this happens to be an offensive passive or a damaging spell you can do some pretty fun things... Like 8 hammers that are Split in 8 each...
Bought this game in Early access this year. It easily became my GOTY for 2024 before the full release which just made it better. I have well over 150+hrs on it. Do yourselves a favor and get this game.
@Skooch I'm pretty sure there's a roguelike you haven't played, which is Ancient Dungeons of Myster, A.K.A Ancient Dungeons of Masochism, A.K.A ADOM. It is incredibly good, and I think you should play it.
