I did some sort of journeyman in FM22 but i stayed more than 2 years. Gotta say i like this playstyle. Alot to learn from team to team, going up the leagues. Training up the youngsters, rotate them into main squad. It was fun. Only downside is i didn't get to splash 100Ms on single player with -3B in finance.
I love a Journeyman save and to be honest they are all I do. Currently playing FM21 still, in a Journeyman that has so far taken me from Port Talbot (Wales), to Drogheda United (Rep of Ireland), to Palermo (Italy) and, currently, Malmo (Sweden). Love it!
My main rule for journeyman saves is the length of contract is how long I'm at the club. On FM 20 I was at Dover for 18 months, Dundee for 1 season then accrington stanley for 3 seasons.
I'm thinking of doing a journeyman, where you start with only low reputation top division leagues loaded (Ireland, Wales, N.Ireland and Latvia) and you can "unlock" higher rep leagues by winning a domestic league (move up 0.5* at a time, so next would be Iceland) as sometimes it can be easy to move to a low league in a high rep country like Spain or England, and get promoted, but doing it this way means you have to work your way through all sorts of countries, and collecting a bunch of weird league titles. With the added aim of winning all 3 UEFA competitions.
One of the best journeyman saves is to win major trophies in each continent, the equivalent to the champions league. I did all that across the world, then decided to take a lower league team up to the top
What determines the likelihood that you get accepted for a job? Not finding it very easy to just move between clubs after one season, but maybe I just need to perform at my first club for 2-3 seasons before others start considering me?
Reputation of the club and the league you're playing in matters too. I'm in a journeyman rn where I'm at my 3rd (2 and a half really, stepped in mid season initially) season and I'm probably looking to move on after this. Got a mid table team from the Slovakian 2nd league up to the first tier by winning the league in my 2nd season. Now I'm avoiding relegation and then I'll probably dip. Hope I set them up for future success but doubt it. But I think this can get me some good job offers. This was after multiple jobs where I failed miserably. Idk just keep applying. I do get the most annoying job offers, the last in the league I'm in has offered me last year and this year (two different teams) to take over at their team. I do think being at a club for multiple years helps if you think you can keep overachieving.
I want to do a journeyman save, what do you do regarding the size of database? Large? Custom? Regarding selecting leagues, I don't know which ones. I want options, so I was thinking nations with just two leagues in them if they are of a 1/2, 1 star standard.
Hey guys, I'm trying to do a journeyman save for this year's FM but in the past I have failed to get a tactic which would help me go through Lower League Management in obscure leagues in Europe and South America which has made the whole experience daunting. I need a tactic or 3 that can do well consistently in the journeyman saves and thats not too conplex and any advice on this type of save would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Hope this helped someone! If you are planning a journeyman let us know!
I've only played fm for 60 odd days, very new but engrossing experience. A journeyman save is absolutely something I want to do one day
You'll love it

Nailed it! It's why i love it too. A real challenge
5:45 - Left his job at Greggs to become a manager at Iceland ;)

Some random teams there. Love it

Beautiful and basic. I like this
Im excited to start my first unemployed journeyman save ever, thx for the video!
Great video mate. I'm the same as you, no journeyman planned but I'll no doubt jump in at some stage.
To make my jouneymen more varied, I set myself the task of getting my guy to learn as many languages as possible.

Love that concept mate
Thanks, some nice tips there. Didn't know that you could add leagues mid-save.
That is the crispest Giants hoodie I've ever seen! You have great taste sir!
Not me finishing my greggs night shift and watching this video 😂

Journeyman is the best experience playing fm for me but it is really painful to wait like 10 mins for just a match.
Trim the leagues down. Add them later
What's FM without a classic Journeyman 🔥🔥
With the attributes best to put all points into Adaptability
Solid point
I needed this!

Will be running one alongside my Palermo save 🤟❤
I just tried to get a job with this setup. No chance over a year. Should I try to get any club which is searching for a trainer?
Great insight on what people need to look out for if they want to start off with a journeyman 👍🏻
Thank you man
I like to do jouneyman but geting frustrated if keep losing
Fun fact, Kórdrengir means Choir Boys

It's how detailed you want to go. For me I go medium, I'm not going to be scouting in depth as I move clubs frequently
@@TheManagersSeat for journey man save, which low rated leagues are good to upload?
I’m doing a journeyman on stream so this would help
Fantastic video, Neil. Quick question. How would you set up your database? Just keep it "small" since you are loading butt tons of countries?
Depends on how powerful your setup is. If you settle on a clutch of leagues, say 4 or 5 running a time, you can up the database size
10:06 we can't have FM23 without the classic stingerman
Hmmmm 🤔
the estimated game speed barely means anything
awesome
How do you do it console
Can I do this on Console?

424 preset custom gegenpress and tweak the roles to suit the players. Always a good tactic to work from
