I just strapped into my Strat, ran it through some Lexicon reverbs and a Manley tube compressor set to "stun", bent the B string up at the 15th fret and got it to sustain/feedback, and just held it there for the entire track. Sounded just like Carlos! Made everyone cry... Thanks!

Thanks! BTW you can practice various pentatonic scales. Gm of course but Am and Dm pentatonics works great to as they belong to the G major scale
Yes, but it doesn't mean that you can play the Gm pentatonic scale.
G minor sounds okay to me, what am I missing?
Really sounds more like The Doors than Santana, but maybe that's just my own bias..great jam track.

This track i noticed is titled Gm ..i hadn't noticed that until the end ...i jammed to it in Cm and it sounded great..better than Gm at least in my opinion..excellent track by the way.

What keys or scales are people using in this grooving Latin jam ?
Chords are Gm7 / C7, so we are in the key of F major. Most common scales to use are Gm pentatonic/blues and G dorian.
Playing to this it feels more like Dorian than a straight minor, is that correct or am I imagining it?

It's Gminor to C9. It's a II-V in the key of F major. Try using D minor natural or pentatonic, C Mixolydian. F major and E Locrian. Also Bb Lydian.
