SMOOTH NEO SOUL BACKING TRACK Cm

Not going to lie. I'm a metalhead.
Didn't even know what Neo Soul was but figured Id check it out while Im playing my bass tonite to some youtube backing tracks channels i like.... This popped up in the algorithm and I figured what the hell.. SO FREAKING smooooth and fun to groove with. I keep rewinding it over and over :D GOOD STUFF!!!! 👍

Yeah, this closer to blues though. Pure neosoul builds upon this foundation with more complex harmony and changes, that's why the leads are rarely improvised and mostly prepared/written, and they can get very very complex, and may employ quick runs, chicken picking and tapping in the same bar. Of course the contrast is needed, so simple and sparse lines (usually staccatto) and concrete melodies are welcome. I also recommend experimenting using just fingerstyle.

beautiful sultry progression!! lovely indeed ,,, you can jam along with a Cmin , C minor pentatonic, C dorian ( an resolve as C melodic minor as a passing note for G7#9 ; you can also think as F minor pentatonic blue note) all the chords and modal chords could be outlined within the scales you can see them if pay attention with the exception of G7#9 as the 7th of G its the same as the 7th on C melodic minor or from F min pentatonic blue note)... happy jammin'

I love to play my Sax over these backing tracks.The only "drawback" is that they need a( Bridge) or (change of key )near the end to give it a (surprise color).Renember, music is an Art. It just need a little Jerk Sauce in the middle and ,some Icecream a al mode with whip cream & toppings at the end that melts away "Aahhhhhhh"
