Note: I didn't really cover it in the video, but combining both combat patrols works okay, but the unit sizes in the old one are incredibly weird for 1000 points games.

I mean. The Space Marine combat patrol has twelve models in it. Twelve. For 160 dollars. Soon to be 170 dollars. The Space Marine Start Collecting box from 2019, the Vanguard box or whatever it was called, had 17. And was half the price.
Literally no one buys that because it's one space marine model less the starter set for 100 and you get all the Tyranids as well
I'm so disappointed with the new CP boxes, but especially so with GSC and SoB.
GSC is awful compared to what it had before, but compared to other new CBs it's actually quite good. The new SoB one is just bad, worse than the old one and I didn't even like the old one. You're paying for 26 miniatures and 10 of them aren't really sisters units
I like the new custodes as well as the newer tyranid and necron boxes. I can also see an argument for the new tau box. Not all of them suck.
The best thing I can say about this and the GSC combat patrols is that it's a great argument for getting your army by buying/building/painting one unit at a time.
So smaller box, will mean smaller price -.- lol
Why they chose to include arco-flagellants and not repentia I'll never know.
Because those of us that bought the boarding patrol wouldn’t have to buy anything extra…..
GW is pricing themselves out. It's really sad. We are at a point, where it is impossible to get new people into the hobby. No one in his right mind would enter at this price point. We're here because of sunken cost fallacy. That's it.
For what I've heard is that they have way too much demand for how limited are their production capabilities, so they seem to be intentionally squashing down the demand, because they can't met it...

i really want to start getting into this with sisters as a new hobby but reading so much info from which box or which figures to start its just getting so hard to choose where the best entry point. Tbh im leaning into buying a single unit like a Canoness and then start from there
I don’t think they will wait until 11th to change up combat patrol to be more like Spearhead. I think they will just release a book+cards+board that will change the gameplay of combat patrol to be more spearhead in 10th edition, especially if Spearhead turns out to be popular.
I wonder how good they are in the combat patrol gamemode. The older one seems to have some issues since a lot of the combat squads where too small and had odd model number and therefore lacked the punch to do something meaningfull.
GW is clearly trying to save money.

Personally I think the new sisters box is very bland. I also disagree that the old box was awkward getting out of combat patrol especially in 10th edition. Sisters of battle can make good use of minimum sized units as they get miracle dice for units dying. So basically, you have small units which can do actions and stuff and when they die you get miracle dice for them. It is a win/win... this is the reason why GW increased the points for 2 man crusader and 3 man arco units.
I understand that GW is trying to balance the boxes out against each other for CP mode BUT they did not have to squeeze out most of the value out of the boxes to do this. Anyway, I got the old CP twice for sisters and I am glad that for the second one I did not wait to see how the new one looks like. The BSS + Canoness are OK but very basic. The arco flagellants are pretty cool but the sacresants are not part of competitive lists. All in all I think this box is C-tier at best.
In fairness to GW, while the Sacresancts are not competitve units they are really cool looking models. That being said Retributors, Seraphim, or Penitent Engines are all also cool looking models that cost the same amount of money and are more viable in the current state of play and have a higher points value.
I don't think you guys know how inflation works. Blame the central banks.
Its hhmard for me to imagine how a beginner who wants to get into the hobby would buy this box. It is straight up boring and would have a hard time to peak interest in new players
