Disagree on the old Combat Patrol. If it were the only box you'd ever buy I would agree, but all of its wargear issues can be solved by using parts and models from other boxes you are likely to buy anyway to expand your army. The unit sizes of the Arcos and Repentia are of some concern, but frankly the savings are so good you could ignore those units entirely and it would still be worth buying. The new Combat Patrol is good for me personally as I haven't got Sacresants or a full unit of Arcos. For a new collector it's okay. It really could use a Rhino though, being so melee heavy. The Tau get a transport in their 10th Ed CP, it's not unprecedented.
I agree with your proposed army box. In my opinion, the units you recommended would be used in most armies. I would have bought it despite having all the models already.
Honestly the paragon suits being pseudo dreadnoughts for sisters would be more interesting... so having them be purely for sisters who have fallen in battle but still wish to serve would be neat

Tbf the savings on the new battleforce is only so bad because of how terrible seraphim/zephyrim are priced points per dollar. When considering that I'd much rather buy 20 of them in a box rather than 4 boxes of 5.
I miss the old battleforce boxes TBH. When I was getting into a new army, it felt great to buy a battleforce and a character kit to go with it because that BF box got you a pretty good sample of the different units that faction had. The last time I had that same level of enjoyment was when I bought 3 Sisters boxes in 2022 (I saved up for a bit I'm not loaded lol)
I think the main reason I liked the old one is because of how easy it was to build up from. 1 box of seraphim = 2 squads of 5 now w/ their max special weapons, 1 sisters box +cutting off the storm bolter = 1 sisters w/ melta + multi melta & 1 dominions with 4 flamers/whatever else you’d like(but only 1 melta max and at least 1 flamer) and the rhino had its hunter killer even though it doesn’t get it in combat patrol
I loved those old battle boxes, especially the ork one. I tried saving money up for one, but my foster brother wanted to play empire for fantasy, so we split the orc and empire box. I ended up converting the fantasy orcs into 40k orks, cause the shop had bits bags.
The old Combat Patrol's main failure is the use of monopose sprues, forcing you to have to 3D print/buy recasts/buy random bits from Ebay to properly kit out your units. But apart from that, I think it was a good box. I bought 2 and it's formed the basic kernel of my army. Converted an arco into a repentia and now I have a full squad of them, and still have a 3man of arcos to play with. Even though I want a 10man of Celestians I don't see myself buying 2 of these new boxes, I'll probably only buy one and be done. I'm keen on the Battleforce too, as long as it's a discount it's worth it to me, as I'd be buying all those units anyways
The old combat patrol would’ve been better if they just stuck to either 10 repentia or 10 arco flagellants instead of splitting them into 2 smaller units
The new combat patrol is a better start collecting than the old one for sure! But it's REALLY boring in the unit selection, and looks more like a big killteam. It should at least contain a Rhino! Also I'm sad that the monopose ones will go away forever, since Sisters already is a army that fit in 3 sprues copied a milion times, and posing have many limitations, so unique bits are always welcome! But 3d printers do exist... Hopefully, in the codex, we will get a better squad flexibility.
I bought 2 of the previous combat partol. But i went into it qith my eyes open. Im holding off at building the monopose models that are a problem (sisters and serephem) until i get extra bits from thw full kits that i can insert on the battle sisters.
Your model of the month comment at 8:20 is interesting to me, because it doesn't match the info I was given by 2 local GW store employees. I was told they have to find time either after hours or during slow time at the store to assemble the models of the month (from roughly 2 boxes of that standard kit distro ships to the store to supply the store for the entire month, which is a whole separate bit of salt that a store is given only 2 boxes worth of models to give away for a month and the GW store employee shared my theory that it is just a near zero investment way to trick people into being pressured to buy things at a GW store after stopping in and finding out the model of the month is out of stock after the first day they're made available when the employee is done putting them together.) I do know for a fact that you can end up with a generic model in a unit or the special weapon model as well which matches the fact that it's just random models in a standard unit being given out. My info is about 2 years old, as I rarely deal with going to my GW store anymore, so maybe it's different now?

I go into a GW (UK) every month for the free model and usually nothing else. The last few months has had a model from the multi-part kit put onto its own sprue and the employee just pulls one out of a big box and gives it to the customer to build in store. I have pictures of the sprue for the deathwing terminator if you are interested - my Discord group link is in the video description, or there is my contact email.
For the price, I just say "at time of recording" otherwise we would never get videos out. Thanks for commenting, nice to know that you know that I exist for all the community's GSC and Sisters of Battle needs
I won't miss the old Combat Patrol. Never liked the monopose/monokit SoB and the odd numbers. The only big loss is the lack of a vehicle or some kind of walker/vehicle/centerpiece. For my ideal new patrol (within limits), I would have preferred seraphims (multikit sprue) and repentias instead of flagellants. With seraphims, it would mean that if you buy a second box, you could build them as zephyrims. Plus you could build the SoB as dominions, the canoness with different wargear, head and even torso and the repentias all have an alternate build. So you could build all models a different way if you bought 2 boxes. Amazing. With the current one... At least you'll have tons of bits for kitbashing.
Not all combat patrol contain a battleline unit. Most do but the space marines one doesn’t. As neither the terminators nor infernus marines are battleline
I'm one of those few guys with only one Exorcist and 5 monopose Seraphim. The Battleforce is basically made of gold as far as I'm concerned. After the first 1000pts of Sisters I decided to stick pretty much with discount boxes, Sisters are too darn expensive otherwise. As for the Combat Patrol, GW can cool it with the Sacresants already. They're getting out of hand. But for a new player it's at least a box full of useful units at at discount.
You know hearing about the "Standards for combat patrol" gives me ideas for how to run ComPat scale games. Rules for listbuilding can be like 500 points, must have 1 leader and 1 battleline unit, no vehicles or monsters under a certain value, no individual units above a certain (slightly more forgiving) value. Maybe exceptions for custodes if their stuff costs too much?

Off the top of my head, either give nerfed versions of their datasheets or to say that imperium and chaos can just take a single baby knight. Their army concept is almost antithetical to Combat Patrol.)
The main issue with knights is that, unless you're playing chaos, the IK don't have a armiger character, so you'd have to ally in an Imperial agents character that can be a warlord for your 3 armigers.
I prefer the new sister one, imagine being happy with poor squad sizes that were SO BAD everyone talked about "how to fix your combat patrol units" at least at my lgs
I actually agree with your takes here for the most part. As someone who is Sisters-curious I like the proposition of the Combat Patrol *WAY* more than the old one. I only disagree on the Battleforce, mostly because I don't own any of the models. So if I buy it, I would get more out of it compared to someone with a more established collection.
I started with the Sanctorum Guard Set, still not finished the 2nd Set of 3 Paragons. The Battle Sisters should really have a multi-melta included. I had to get a part of Ebay to make my heavy sister magnetic with a Multi Melta or Flamer. I also have Junith, Morven Vahl, Celestine, an Imagifier, a Palatine, a Preacher, 2 Crusaders and 3 Arco Flagellants done. I hope they don't remove any of my guys with the new Codex release. That might be a quit and play play One-Page-Rules factor. I have an Immolater, 10 Repentia, 5 Seraphim, 5 Zepharim and Castigator unpainted and I have Retributores, Hospitalier and an Exorcist to build. Oh, I have a box of two Pentitent Engines but I'll magnetise them to be either Mortifiers or PE.
I still prefer the old Combat Patrol I bought 3... The new combat patrol is not worth it there's no savings if they threw in a rhino then I would say it's pretty good because you're closer to 500 points... This new Combat Patrol is just the Boarding Patrol box just more expensive...The new Army box is basically the Purgatos Mission minus the Immolator... there's no value in savings.
allright, so if nobody wants that sisters battleforce cause of the shitty discount, then I'll have a chance to get it xD I got myself a couple of boxes with the bigger release after jumping on the release box, but kinda sizzled out not knowing how to paint them, so I'm actually pretty excited to get all those sepharims :P And if that doesn't work out... two combat patrols might be a way to swivel into a repentinant force with all those agros

It seems like this combat patrol is completely unready to play against their heavy infantry and heavy walker. Is that incorrect? Am I supposed to delay or ignore them, since the Sisters of Battle patrol has a unit and OC advantage? What do?
Its funny because the Grey Knight CP is quite literally the meta way to play them. 3 boxes and an extra terminator kit is one of the best armies in the game. If the Sisters box had Repentia over Flagellants and a rhino/ warsuits would have been a good box.
People are not happy about the combat patrol because it's pretty boring and pretty lame, and I get that. But all the units are useful, and good, and it still saves money. If you want them all. It's worth it. The Battleforce isn't even bad, though it is similarly boring. Really I'm just not sure if I need 25 total serap / zephyr since I already have one kit of each. But... I mean... maybe?
I got 2 of the old combat patrol, and just converted one of the arco-flagellants into a repentia so I could run a 10 woman repentia squad. Does mean I now have 5 arco-flagellants tho lmao
I do agree with you about your ideal Combat Patrol, except for one thing. The Novitiate's. Remember, they are mainly the Sister's Kill Team, and thus shouldn't be in a CP by GW's standards. Their ideal onboarding in get people interested with KT, then hook them with CP. Like all things GW does they aren't always that great with it, but this seems to be their way of thinking. So, ideally, people buying the CP should already have the KT. I would switch out the Novitiate's with either Arco's or Repentia to show the non power armored side of the army. Think of CP as a sampler box of a faction.
As we all know rhinos are free. But that aside my complaint to the sisters combat patrol in canada it costs 200$ i started late 7th and early 8th i remeber what start collecting boxes are and these look like start collecting but instead of 120$cad to 140cad to now just being 200 cad which is my issue with combat patrol at this time.

I’m just praying k sons gets an upgrade in their combat patrol… start collecting tzangors isn’t what I want when starting thousand sons. Though it’s a question what they would do for it. Thousand sons has a weird setup for characters. The exalted sorcerer box has 3 characters that cannot be split. Infernal master is in the current cp. and they are not going to drop airman or Magnus in there. Maybe have a terminator sorcerer in there? But then what else goes in the box? Gw seems to be moving away from core units in the combat patrols. And k sons has a bit of a small range in reality. My ideal combat patrol would have a squad of both rubrics and scarab occult terminators, but what else to throw in there after that…
@maxmagnus377 would be interesting to see tzangor enlightened in there. That way I could buy 2 boxes and use everything except the second terminator sorcerer. Cannot really do a smash sorcerer now so I have a smash demon prince.
Honestly I think the new tau combat patrol is worth picking up and almost as good as the previous one. Also it’s about as thicc as the drukari one surprisingly.
It’s good when you are starting at least. Breachers and devilfish is a tau standard. And picking up a hammerhead means you can field a skyray with the cp devilfish or run it as the transport. And of course the commander is a core unit for leading the crisis suits. You get a lot of use out of everything in the kit.
@@stotgunvsface5092 The issue with all the boxes for Tau that are bundles is that you end up with infantry squads. I avoid most of the value boxes as a tau player and just buy single boxes on and off when I am ready to paint something. Even comboing the old and new combat patrols ends up netting two strike teams and a pathfinder squad, and with the kroot hunting pack box out that's even more infantry.
@@Yurikan true. But if you are starting, it covers all your baser needs for infantry. I would know as I started tau and have all the infantry i would ever need. Sadly, with tau being the third most expensive army, those crisis suits and broadsides are going to eat a hole in my wallet…
that is a pretty good idea, I would go for that. After that (by which I mean it is built and you have played a bit) I would get some seraphim and build them as 2xflamers 2xmelta pistols so you have the optimal number across 10 models.

Is the old box still allowed in normal Combat Patrol completions because I bought the old box like a month ago to use it in a competition and I dont want to go in with them and be told "hey that team up isn't allowed anymore because rules" and get my hopes up with it,

it depends if you want a quick game or an intro game. An intro game may skip detachments, enhancements and even command points. A quick game can have them all if you like
I think the new one beats the old out of the water. The tiny units just felt worthless. Don't think I've ever brought my flaggos ever and I brought the repentia once which was a mistake. Full units and not locked loudouts makes it a vast improvement.
I think that the new combat patrol is definitely better, especially for people new to Sisters. Though I did end up buying a second of the old one after the reveal. I kitbashed pretty much every model to get a few characters and weapon options i was still missing.
I say this way too much with Combat Patrol videos and how they are all worse versions that are coming out and I will say it again. I really don't think that the new Combat Patrols are not intended to be a good place to start collecting. I know that sounds weird. But I think their primary focus is to create a good Combat Patrol for the game mode of Combat Patrol. So people can buy into the hobby and play at that level and then want to move on. The old Combat Patrols stink as a fun small game because they were trying to be both a good starting point for collection like the old "Start Collecting" boxes and be something you could actually start playing with. I've suggested that they need separate boxes for Combat Patrol, Start Collecting, and full Battleforces but I get told that's too many different things for them to stock. The way I see it Combat Patrol for Combat Patrol mode. Start Collecting for if you just want to start with the core of a new army. Battleforce if you just want to buy 1k worth of models at the one go. Though the Battleforces we have been getting are nowhere near that in most cases (looking at the Kroot).
Im angry with gw and feel treated badly. Of course the pricing is a scam, but ok. I think the canoness is just uninspired and I hate the information-politics of gw. You have to wait for ages without having release dates. Killed the whole world eaters thing for me. On the other side some codices just get dropped in without almost any marketing and seemingly without a real plan. Also I don’t like how they pack their boxes. Exorcists and jump infantry is really cool, but by now I think almost every existing sisters-player has already at least 2 of each.

Yeah getting 1000 points together isnt that bad so far. I buy a box then l have to assemble it and paint it. By the time l get one squad done l can usually buy another. Also you still have to lay for 3d files and printing is a whole other time investment
I buy stuff at a 25% discount usually. Maybe collecting multiple 6k points of whoever would mean it's worthwhile investing in a printer, but if you don't have the space, and you aren't going to have multiple massive armies, then I don't really see the value prop tbh. Though, if you factor in scenery it may be worth it if your LGS doesn't have scenery you can use in games

I think GW wants martyrs for the sisters, not living saints (remember that both Celestine and Stern have died at least once each)

I go into a GW (UK) every month for the free model and usually nothing else. The last few months has had a model from the multi-part kit put onto its own sprue and the employee just pulls one out of a big box and gives it to the customer to build in store.
I have pictures of the sprue for the deathwing terminator if you are interested - my Discord group link is in the video description, or there is my contact email.
For the price, I just say "at time of recording" otherwise we would never get videos out.

I won't miss the old Combat Patrol.
Never liked the monopose/monokit SoB and the odd numbers. The only big loss is the lack of a vehicle or some kind of walker/vehicle/centerpiece.
For my ideal new patrol (within limits), I would have preferred seraphims (multikit sprue) and repentias instead of flagellants.
With seraphims, it would mean that if you buy a second box, you could build them as zephyrims. Plus you could build the SoB as dominions, the canoness with different wargear, head and even torso and the repentias all have an alternate build.
So you could build all models a different way if you bought 2 boxes. Amazing.
With the current one... At least you'll have tons of bits for kitbashing.
With the Battleforce that they're going to bring out, they wouldn't ever have put in the seraphim multipose unfortunately
the SOB Batteleforce is such a dumpster fire, you can still find them at 20% off TODAY

Not all combat patrol contain a battleline unit. Most do but the space marines one doesn’t. As neither the terminators nor infernus marines are battleline
I'm one of those few guys with only one Exorcist and 5 monopose Seraphim. The Battleforce is basically made of gold as far as I'm concerned. After the first 1000pts of Sisters I decided to stick pretty much with discount boxes, Sisters are too darn expensive otherwise.
As for the Combat Patrol, GW can cool it with the Sacresants already. They're getting out of hand. But for a new player it's at least a box full of useful units at at discount.
You know hearing about the "Standards for combat patrol" gives me ideas for how to run ComPat scale games. Rules for listbuilding can be like
500 points, must have 1 leader and 1 battleline unit, no vehicles or monsters under a certain value, no individual units above a certain (slightly more forgiving) value.
Maybe exceptions for custodes if their stuff costs too much?
you may also need exceptions for knights unless they are just not allowed to play

(But for real, I'd need to study the army to think about it. Off the top of my head, either give nerfed versions of their datasheets or to say that imperium and chaos can just take a single baby knight. Their army concept is almost antithetical to Combat Patrol.)
The main issue with knights is that, unless you're playing chaos, the IK don't have a armiger character, so you'd have to ally in an Imperial agents character that can be a warlord for your 3 armigers.
I prefer the new sister one, imagine being happy with poor squad sizes that were SO BAD everyone talked about "how to fix your combat patrol units" at least at my lgs

I actually agree with your takes here for the most part. As someone who is Sisters-curious I like the proposition of the Combat Patrol *WAY* more than the old one. I only disagree on the Battleforce, mostly because I don't own any of the models. So if I buy it, I would get more out of it compared to someone with a more established collection.
I started with the Sanctorum Guard Set, still not finished the 2nd Set of 3 Paragons. The Battle Sisters should really have a multi-melta included. I had to get a part of Ebay to make my heavy sister magnetic with a Multi Melta or Flamer. I also have Junith, Morven Vahl, Celestine, an Imagifier, a Palatine, a Preacher, 2 Crusaders and 3 Arco Flagellants done. I hope they don't remove any of my guys with the new Codex release. That might be a quit and play play One-Page-Rules factor. I have an Immolater, 10 Repentia, 5 Seraphim, 5 Zepharim and Castigator unpainted and I have Retributores, Hospitalier and an Exorcist to build. Oh, I have a box of two Pentitent Engines but I'll magnetise them to be either Mortifiers or PE.

I still prefer the old Combat Patrol I bought 3... The new combat patrol is not worth it there's no savings if they threw in a rhino then I would say it's pretty good because you're closer to 500 points... This new Combat Patrol is just the Boarding Patrol box just more expensive...The new Army box is basically the Purgatos Mission minus the Immolator... there's no value in savings.

I got myself a couple of boxes with the bigger release after jumping on the release box, but kinda sizzled out not knowing how to paint them, so I'm actually pretty excited to get all those sepharims :P
And if that doesn't work out... two combat patrols might be a way to swivel into a repentinant force with all those agros

I’m new to 40k, but I’ve been learning a lot. I bought this combat patrol and my friend bought the Necrons combat patrol. It seems like this combat patrol is completely unready to play against their heavy infantry and heavy walker. Is that incorrect? Am I supposed to delay or ignore them, since the Sisters of Battle patrol has a unit and OC advantage? What do?
Its funny because the Grey Knight CP is quite literally the meta way to play them. 3 boxes and an extra terminator kit is one of the best armies in the game.
If the Sisters box had Repentia over Flagellants and a rhino/ warsuits would have been a good box.
With warsuits it would have been phenomenal. But yeah, swap the arcos for repentia, put in a rhino and it would be a GREAT new combat patrol.
I'm only going to get the sisters' battleforce box because i want 15 more jumppack sisters and the exorcist

People are not happy about the combat patrol because it's pretty boring and pretty lame, and I get that. But all the units are useful, and good, and it still saves money. If you want them all. It's worth it.
The Battleforce isn't even bad, though it is similarly boring. Really I'm just not sure if I need 25 total serap / zephyr since I already have one kit of each.

I got 2 of the old combat patrol, and just converted one of the arco-flagellants into a repentia so I could run a 10 woman repentia squad. Does mean I now have 5 arco-flagellants tho lmao
I do agree with you about your ideal Combat Patrol, except for one thing. The Novitiate's. Remember, they are mainly the Sister's Kill Team, and thus shouldn't be in a CP by GW's standards. Their ideal onboarding in get people interested with KT, then hook them with CP. Like all things GW does they aren't always that great with it, but this seems to be their way of thinking. So, ideally, people buying the CP should already have the KT. I would switch out the Novitiate's with either Arco's or Repentia to show the non power armored side of the army. Think of CP as a sampler box of a faction.
As we all know rhinos are free. But that aside my complaint to the sisters combat patrol in canada it costs 200$ i started late 7th and early 8th i remeber what start collecting boxes are and these look like start collecting but instead of 120$cad to 140cad to now just being 200 cad which is my issue with combat patrol at this time.

I’m just praying k sons gets an upgrade in their combat patrol… start collecting tzangors isn’t what I want when starting thousand sons. Though it’s a question what they would do for it. Thousand sons has a weird setup for characters. The exalted sorcerer box has 3 characters that cannot be split. Infernal master is in the current cp. and they are not going to drop airman or Magnus in there. Maybe have a terminator sorcerer in there? But then what else goes in the box? Gw seems to be moving away from core units in the combat patrols. And k sons has a bit of a small range in reality. My ideal combat patrol would have a squad of both rubrics and scarab occult terminators, but what else to throw in there after that…
I think it'll be 10 rubrics, 5 scarab occult and a terminator sorcerer. That or the old one but just the tzaangors.
@maxmagnus377 would be interesting to see tzangor enlightened in there. That way I could buy 2 boxes and use everything except the second terminator sorcerer. Cannot really do a smash sorcerer now so I have a smash demon prince.
Honestly I think the new tau combat patrol is worth picking up and almost as good as the previous one. Also it’s about as thicc as the drukari one surprisingly.
It’s good when you are starting at least. Breachers and devilfish is a tau standard. And picking up a hammerhead means you can field a skyray with the cp devilfish or run it as the transport. And of course the commander is a core unit for leading the crisis suits. You get a lot of use out of everything in the kit.
@@stotgunvsface5092 The issue with all the boxes for Tau that are bundles is that you end up with infantry squads. I avoid most of the value boxes as a tau player and just buy single boxes on and off when I am ready to paint something. Even comboing the old and new combat patrols ends up netting two strike teams and a pathfinder squad, and with the kroot hunting pack box out that's even more infantry.
@@Yurikan true. But if you are starting, it covers all your baser needs for infantry. I would know as I started tau and have all the infantry i would ever need. Sadly, with tau being the third most expensive army, those crisis suits and broadsides are going to eat a hole in my wallet…

that is a pretty good idea, I would go for that.
After that (by which I mean it is built and you have played a bit) I would get some seraphim and build them as 2xflamers 2xmelta pistols so you have the optimal number across 10 models.

Is the old box still allowed in normal Combat Patrol completions because I bought the old box like a month ago to use it in a competition and I dont want to go in with them and be told "hey that team up isn't allowed anymore because rules" and get my hopes up with it,

I prefer repentia to arco-flagellants but the boarding patrol is not sold through GW anymore so it depends if you can get it cheaper than the Combat Patrol costs

it depends if you want a quick game or an intro game. An intro game may skip detachments, enhancements and even command points. A quick game can have them all if you like

two combat patrols will cost more money but you get a better start with 2x combat patrols and the % saving is better

I think the new one beats the old out of the water. The tiny units just felt worthless. Don't think I've ever brought my flaggos ever and I brought the repentia once which was a mistake.
Full units and not locked loudouts makes it a vast improvement.
I don't like the new combat patrol... but it's because i don't like the flagellants, so skill issue on my part
I think that the new combat patrol is definitely better, especially for people new to Sisters. Though I did end up buying a second of the old one after the reveal. I kitbashed pretty much every model to get a few characters and weapon options i was still missing.
I have one simple request: Remove Arco-Flaggelents from the Sororitas roster. Legends them. Put them in imperial agents and nerf them. I hate them.
I say this way too much with Combat Patrol videos and how they are all worse versions that are coming out and I will say it again. I really don't think that the new Combat Patrols are not intended to be a good place to start collecting. I know that sounds weird. But I think their primary focus is to create a good Combat Patrol for the game mode of Combat Patrol. So people can buy into the hobby and play at that level and then want to move on. The old Combat Patrols stink as a fun small game because they were trying to be both a good starting point for collection like the old "Start Collecting" boxes and be something you could actually start playing with.
I've suggested that they need separate boxes for Combat Patrol, Start Collecting, and full Battleforces but I get told that's too many different things for them to stock.
The way I see it Combat Patrol for Combat Patrol mode.
Start Collecting for if you just want to start with the core of a new army.
Battleforce if you just want to buy 1k worth of models at the one go. Though the Battleforces we have been getting are nowhere near that in most cases (looking at the Kroot).

I think the canoness is just uninspired and I hate the information-politics of gw. You have to wait for ages without having release dates. Killed the whole world eaters thing for me. On the other side some codices just get dropped in without almost any marketing and seemingly without a real plan. Also I don’t like how they pack their boxes. Exorcists and jump infantry is really cool, but by now I think almost every existing sisters-player has already at least 2 of each.

Yeah getting 1000 points together isnt that bad so far. I buy a box then l have to assemble it and paint it. By the time l get one squad done l can usually buy another. Also you still have to lay for 3d files and printing is a whole other time investment
I buy stuff at a 25% discount usually. Maybe collecting multiple 6k points of whoever would mean it's worthwhile investing in a printer, but if you don't have the space, and you aren't going to have multiple massive armies, then I don't really see the value prop tbh.
Though, if you factor in scenery it may be worth it if your LGS doesn't have scenery you can use in games
