Hi .. I just wanted to say, this is a fantastic camera system! Best value for my money, hands down. Question - the live stream - is it 1080p or 720p? It doesn’t look as crisp as I thought a 1080p video should look but, maybe my eyes are going .. I haven’t yet looked at the SD card footage (in fact, I haven’t installed an SD card in the cam yet) but I was first wondering about the stream resolution. Thanks for a great product, Wyze! Looking forward to the bright future!

When I speak through the speaker of my Wyze camera the volume is to low people cannot hear me is there a way to turn up the volume on the camera? Thank you other than that I love these cameras so far I have 6 of the Wyze V2 cameras

You can try RTSP. Somebody had also created a YT channel about It and how to utilize it.
WyeCam is NOT a live security monitoring camera ! its fine to reference on sd card or cloud after incidents but it is definitely not a Live Monitoring camera. Don't think you can quickly reference to your tablet screen when doorbell rings or you hear something, changes are your live feed is stuck or "Connection Failed". I run Dahua wireless IP CAM setup next to WyeCam V3/PAN/Outdoor/V1 and the WyeCam feed reset/error/reset continuously with Dahua feed not dropping so its definitely not my network. (I even switched off 5GHZ connection permanently) I run Mesh network and can monitor downtime witch is also stable.
I've installed 2 of these cameras and I am super stoked on how easy the set up was and how great they work. Question: Can I access these cameras while away from home on my smart phone?
We're glad you enjoyed the setup process, Dustin! As for your question, as long as both your Wyze Cam and your phone can access the internet, you should be able to view the live stream through the app on your phone. :)
No. You only see what the cam see's if you sit directly behind the cam and look the same way it's pointing.

Yes, you can have as many Wyze Cams attached to your Wyze account as you want. There's no upper limit on that. :)
How is the audio on this camera and do you need a monthly subscription to love stream or store videos?

The live view only works on TVs with Alexa if I also have the live feed running in the Alexa app on my phone. Otherwise, it shows for about half a second then goes to a black screen. How can I fix this

At this point it is only when you select a specific Wyze Cam. We're looking into simultaneous streaming for the future, though. :)

Will I still be able to receive sound detection notifications within that 5 minute cooldown period or are the alerts blocked as well?
I don't really care about the 12-second recordings, so if those features are individual, that would be nice.
Moreover, if that is NOT possible to receive notifications no matter if cooldown period or not: Will I be able to constantly monitor the sound live stream within the app without pausing of the stream after some time?
Cause there are some camera apps that pause the stream after 5 minutes and one has to wake it again. That wouldn't work for me.
So say I am sleeping and my phone is connected to wifi.Cam is on my child's bed.Suddendly my son calls, mommy.Will I receive his sound right away saying mommy or will I just receive a notification indicating there was some sound which I can view in the ap or then go live stream to check and speak to my child..I tried to find information on this but couldnt.Plzz reply soon
Hello. I Just got 4 wyze cam. But I have to go into each cam for them to update... I mean, i can not have a "panel of control" to be able to see all the four in real time at the same time... the "panel of control" that i get show the last image I saw when i got into that camera... very bad point for the ones that have more than 1 cam.
Hi Hernando! You should be able to update all of your devices at once by tapping Account on the bottom right and going to Firmware Upgrade.
@@wyze No, What I need is to be able to watch all the cameras in the same "screen" I mean: in the "Home" page I have the cameras, but the images that I see are not in real time, they dont show video, just the last image I saw when i went into the cam. To be able to see the real time video of each camera I have to go into the cam, wait for it to load the "live stream" and just then I can see just the video of one camera... I would love to be able to see the real time video of all the cams at the same time in the "home" page. I am not using the cams like I would like because I have to go into each cam one by one to see what the are showing... extremely hard to do when you have many of them. It is VERY important to have a "Control panel" where we can watch all of the videos at the same time in just one screen.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. You should be able to create a camera group and add your cameras to that group. That would allow you to view all of your cameras at once. You can do this from the Home screen and then the + plus sign on the top left.
Then tap Add Device Group and then Camera Group. From there, you'll be able to select which cameras you'd like to be in your group.

I have Cam that I purchased last year. The main problem with this camera is that it does not capture human or animal movement 99.9% of the time. Most people purchase a camera to see who/what came by their property. Most of the images this cam catches are tree and vehicle movement. Wyze had released an AI algo patch but that seemed to have made the image capture of people and animals even less than what it used to be in the past. Perhaps it works better in a inside baby room but it does not work for outside image capture.

Based on your description, we recommend adjusting the device's Detection Settings and its Event Recording (select the camera and tap the Settings gear icon).

My camera has serious lag. Like 20 second lag. Is there a way I can fix this?

How do I stop the live feed from lagging?
I want to use the new Wyze Pan cam for child monitoring in a residential home. I need the ability to hear and view the feed through the night time.Two questions: #1 Can I use an iPad as a monitor to do this? Will the stream stay constant without timing out? I know I can adjust my iPad to stay on while plugged in but I wanted to ensure that the cameras will stay on a constant feed without interruption. #2 Is there a feature on the app that allows the live feeds to "patrol" or change back and forth on a timed rotation. I have 2 kids and this would be helpful. Thanks for your time in advance!

Thanks for asking! Right now the stream will time out on an iPad over night if you leave the sound on. We're actively working on that issue and hope to have solved soon! We don't have a patrol feature yet but I'll add your request to our tracker. :)
Love the camera BUT will record videos on phone but not on sd card in outdoor camera or base station. Can someone help

Don't get me wrong. Its still way cheaper to buy Wyze cam compared to similar cameras. Only wish you guys would market it overseas as well, but i understand your constraints. Thanks for you reply.

How can I rotate the order of my devices
For example what if I want to move my front door to the first or last thumbnail?
That isn't released yet but the feature is in beta now! It will be out soon. :)
When it comes out, there will be a new button added onto the Devices tab. Pressing it will take you to a new screen where you can drag the thumbnails to rearrange them.
Don't write customer support.....week later still no response. Or call. Waste of time. I called, put on hold due to "large volume" and waited. 5 min later I'm "number 4". Ten minutes later I'm "number 3". 20 minutes later "we can't take your call right now......CLICK". Hung up on. Terrible way to treat customers

Our current system unfortunately has a limit on how long it will let people be on hold before it hangs up automatically. We are looking into other options for systems so that we can get away from this limitation but we can't make any promises at this point.
There’s a button called “View Playback” which doesn’t work on my end. Help please!!!
Thanks for reaching out to us, Be! The playback function is used if you have an SD card in your camera. If you do, once you click on it, it will bring up a timeline and let you see what was recorded on the SD card. If you are having issues viewing that on your app, we would recommend reaching out to our support team so we can help look into this as soon as possible.

after I setup my cam pan, how do I move it to another room? do I need to turn it off or just unplug it before moving it? will I have to re set it up once I move it?
Thank you for reaching out to us, Crystal. You shouldn't have any issues unless you move the Pan Cam away from the WiFi where it was set up. Once you have the camera set up you should be able to unplug the camera and set it up where you'd like it. Just keep in mind to be careful of the reset button on the bottom of the camera when you plug it back it to not delete the setup. How does this work with one's Amazon account. I have Amazon Prime. Please correct me if I am mistaken about using recording(?) capability with the Wyzecam and using one's Amazon account for livestream(?) storage. Is that a feature or even possible? I have two of the first gen Wyze cam.
At this point that is not possible but I'll share your request with the team! :)
For storing longer videos, I recommend installing a microSD card in your Wyze Cam.
The cam is frozen and only moves every so often
Good cheap product, but with a lot of limitations. If you just need an eye for not to have to stand up or go to the place, it is ok... but if you need to record or to check things in the past it is not a good product... the micro usb almost never works even if it has space/storage you have to be putting it in and out the micro usb almost every day... and when ot works checkong is extremly anoing, slow and exausting. That happen even if you pay for the Cam Plus subscription.
Summary: totally recomended if you do not need to record nothing, just to see at the moment. If you need to see what happened when you was not watching... this is not your product.

I got the outdoor mounting kit for them and they were easy to install. Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. I am thinking seriously about adding another camera or two to my 3 camera system. The price is lower than a lot of comparable systems.
How can I view multiple cams at the same time?
I have two Wyze Cam Pan cameras, and the Samsung a10e phone.
Once the second one was connected it took about 10 minutes before it showed up on my home screen.
It showed both cameras and the last time I live streamed.
Can you livestream to your cellphone from anywhere in the world?

If you go into your app settings and check for the Wyze app, you should be able to change the permission for your camera and record on the app again. Live stream never works for more than a day
Awesome camera I have caught my peeping Tom his face clear as day on my camera at night and the police came and reviewed the footage but I couldn't give them the close up of his face because I didn't know how to use camera until an hour after the police left. so now I've recorded the video footage even though it was already recorded onto the SD card there's an additional area you can record a certain snippet.
I don't know how to transfer files or any of that yet. so basically I just learned how to record that spot that I needed to record of the guy looking in my window at 3:00 a.m.!
If you know how I can transfer to the police just that footage let me know because I don't want to just give him the whole SD card it would be too much blank footageI don't know how many hours it records but I would imagine it must record a lot of days so that would be a lot of footage to go through just to see the guy looking in my window the night in question.
My SD card is almost full....how to I delete memory so I can continue recording
Your Wyze Cam should automatically overwrite the oldest footage without you having to delete anything. If you need to delete footage, you can format your microSD card through the app. Though please note that this will erase all of your footage so make sure you've saved anything you want before trying that. :)
@@wyze How can I setup my V2 cam to record only when I want. Do I still need Wifi? Im connected to 2.4 Wifi and while recording Im seeing buffering and pixelated while live recording. Lastly say I record live for 3 minutes when I check video it seems to record only say 30 seconds.
You may want to use a microSD card set to record on event (or continuously record) and manually record video from that instead. It sounds like you may be experiencing some connectivity issues which could make the recording a bit tricky. You will need to use WiFi for manual recording but recording to a microSD card happens even without a network connection.

I wouldn't say that your recording would be better quality without WiFi. Once you insert your microSD card into the camera, go to the Advanced Settings section of Camera Settings and make sure that local storage is turned on. In your case, I recommend using recording on event. Once that is set, your Wyze Cam will continue to record as long as it has power. :)
After few months using the camera, the live stream feature stops working. Everytime I click to the camera for the live stream, it works about few minutes then automatically goes back to main menu app. This is very annoyed when I record at night.
That does sound annoying! Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? If that doesn't do the trick, please let us know so that we can work on troubleshooting with you.
I just did and when I reinstalled, the app asked me to upgrade to the new firmware which is 4.9.2.52, I accepted the upgrade but the camera is still going back to main menu app after about 15 mins live stream. I was thinking about my wifi problem but then I see that the camera keep going back the main menu even the wifi is in good condition.
In this case, you'll probably want to contact customer support. They may want an app log. Here's a link for contacting support!

Why does my app look completely different?
We have had some updates that changed the look of certain sections of the app. But it shouldn't look completely different. If you find that you can't use it with your Wyze Cams, please contact support. :)

Why would a company release a product so amazing in limited quantities (wyze car) and then not have their servers able to handle to load? I'm not the only person who's "word of mouth advertising" isn't going to be good anymore. You shoulda made it for everyone and not just 5,000 people lucky enough to get through to your crappy servers. Do you realize how much those things woulda sold? They'd be one of your best sellers but you only made 5,000. Not a good business strategy. Everyone hates you now. Lmao

If you have a micro SD card installed in your Wyze Cam, it will record to the card whether your phone is on or off and you do not have to press a button to begin recording. These can be found using Playback in the app (which does mean you'll need to turn on your phone). We also offer free 14-day cloud storage, which is also not impacted by your phone being on or off.
