I went to a skate park for the first time today and there was a guy trying to do a board slide and when he saw me falling over and over again trying to drop in he came over and helped me. He gave me tips, he held my arm while I went, and he showed me some bail strategies. This made me want to keep going and by the end when I went to leave, I went down a drop as high as 6 feet! Thank you to the guy who helped me.❤

Well, sorry to say, my friend, but you are a pre-poser. Once you learn to ollie, your ollie will be pretty close to the ground, which will make you a poser. Funny enough, once the skater is beyond advanced or a “pro”, you see their front foot inching back towards the top of the deck. Pro skaters can ollie super high with such efficient movement and minimal foot drag. Only if they’re trying to ollie up/over something truly huge do you see them put their foot that far back.
