That's awsome man!!! Even though I'm not in your situation, every time I watch one of your videos and see how commited you are to making your life the best it can be, it inspires me to go out and do something fun in myy shop, on my farm, etc and actually do something. Cause a life spent on the couch, is a wasted life. Typically.

Very well done, sir. I'm aiming for something like this, I have mtb that has detachable rear part where both derailers are attached and chain and all that.... so I can cut that part and my friend will weld some frame so that part basicly becomes like a trailer. So I can have cargo bike and exercise at the same time, two pluses for looks like pretty simple modifications. Nice.

Awesome Jordan, wondering if you shoukd put some kind of guard over the chain in case you hit something to protect your forhead. Where are you at these days? Any sailing in your future?

Great build, did you ever try switching the pedal mode to the hand cycle mode? If so, which one is easier, I have thought of changing my Dragonfly, but feel I would lose power for up hill climbs. Cheers!

The two small front wheels of the wheelchair must NOT touch the ground. The handcycle wheels should be tightly attached as if welded to the wheelchair.

Thanks for sharing. Do you have any views on 180° cranks vs inline? Most commercial hand cycles have the inline pedals ie arms go around together. Your version looks like a more natural movement to me.

I did no welding to the chair everything was clamped on to the chair I wanted it so once I got to my destination I was able to unclamp it. Once your front wheels are off the ground you will notice the difference they are dragging

I made one almost like yours you have to have the front wheels off the ground, when I made mines there was no UA-cam or FakeBook I did mines out of one bike the same way but used the back of the bike and the forks the front wheels have to be slightly off the ground and you will go fast, I never put any brakes on mine it's just hanging up in the garage I made it 1998? If I remember correctly

The cranks are WRONG. They should be facing the same way. That's how it is on commercial handcycles. It's easier to crank if they are facing the same way. You use a rowing motion. Like you would if you were rowing a boat. My friend is a handcyclist and people ask him all time why he dosen't have his cranks like you do. The reason is, because it's it's a bad way to have them.
