I use a handbike of my own making and I know what a joy it is to cover long distances. I am old and have been on crutches for 65 years (polio) and now I know what the freedom of long walks tastes like. Congratulations on helping people like me - Jurek from Poland
This is the ideal affordable upper body cardio workout for someone who has lost the use of their legs. No excuse not to get out there and cycle around. Your business serves the needs of almost everyone. Kudos for that.
Cool. I can’t imagine going very far on this, (my shoulder is aching from just watching the video), but I know a couple wheelchair bound people that would love this set up.
I *love* that you make a hand and foot cycle! I think the Berkelbike Pro is the only other one, and it is all front wheel drive (which means traction issues on steep hills). I'd love to add a quick release for the hand section, so I could lock it up outside and have a little pedal chair to shop with. Do you think you could do that?
Alright, that wasn't clear at all. I mean, I'd love to be able to quickly detach the hand drive section from the rest of the bike, so that I could use it as a pedal wheelchair in stores.
Agree with rhe comment about having more gears but I haven't tried one with more than 7 gears. What I can say is this is fine for pretty flat level ground, any kind of a hill and you'll be struggling...great for casual beach rides...
Hey Kait, you are a breath of fresh air. Just viewed your video about the UT Custom Hand/Foot cycle. Last year Sept 2021, I was going to get a recumbent trike. This was going to be my exercise after knee surgery (scope) and 5 mos of therapy. Problem, my range of motion in the left knee is only 87 to 90 degrees. Can't get a full pedal rotation. The pedal/crank will only go from 11 oclock position to the 3 oclock position, but not completely around. I need exercise and I believe the UT Custom will fully meet my needs. Lots of details to work out. I will study your web page. I am in Canada 90 miles north of Toronto. There is a paved riding path close to my house. This will require me to transport the UT Custom to the riding path. QUESTION: I have a small Jeep with a hitch. Is there a rack that will work for my situation? This 74 yr old thanks you in advance, for your reply.
Is anyone familiar with the Varibike and Varitrike? Seems like they are a good fit for riders looking for upper and lower workout, less of a rehab bike’. Can’t find any US distribution for them, which is surprising since their concept seems well developed. Any info?
Your post about the puncher proof tires did not show up so can you please do a segment about them, please. I watched twice thinking I missed it but it never showed up.
Interesting. Thinking of somebody I need to send the link to. She has a prostetic right leg, I think since she was 4, she is 68 now. She wants to do more exercise. I guess Kait does not know of the hidden camera videos of her being silly. On the dark web. Yes, I am goofy too. 😛😜🤪
That bike needs more gears. Most dealers have very little knowledge of handcycles. My wife has a Freedom Ryder. She hasn’t been riding for a few years because it got to risky (falls) for us to try to help each other on and off them. I road a Quickie. Can’t remember which one. I sold it several years ago. Dealers around here don’t even know how to ride a lean steer or when to shift it.

Love that you guys are starting to upload videos for those of us with different needs. Keep up the good work :)

Sorry about that! I've added the link to the video, but you can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/SrSRIQ8gPcw/v-deo.html
Quiero adquirir la bicicleta,me podrían dar información soy de México
On hand-powered trikes... why are the crank arms set at 0 degrees, rather than 180 degree offset like on a conventional bicycle?
For easier steering. Think handlebars.
Onde compro uma?
Do you have model just hand pedals special for a no two legs limb's only One hand kids in the Philippines
I have a hand cycle and I am looking for a new one, how long for a delivery in the Eastern area of the US
Does it include battery??
Whats the cost
Thanks for telling us about the weight limit of each.
I ride with wounded warriors and the hand cycling guys do very well, but their trikes are custom made, and two of them went to Para Olympics.
More power to them.
You really have to shoulder the responsibility of riding this kind of trike.
لدى فكره بتصميم دراجه مشابهه لهذه لكن اكثر تطور

If "pedaling" means working with your feet, isn't "handling" working with your hand more proper to say than "handy cycling"?🤣
Pedant
The guitar music really sucks. Is that your marketing guy's idea of "Oooo! exciting"? It's just bad.
