  • There are many different types of Frontwheels/Wheelchair attachments which are absolutely different, even if they all look like "just a wheel". We are often asked why we have developed a front wheel, although there are already some on the market. In this video we have summarized the essentials to show you that there are clear differences. Small, stable, light, compact, safe to drive and efficient, that was our focus during the development.
    Video-overview:

    3:12 Trackstability
    3:46 Stopping downhill

I have a freewheel with additional attachment for my moms folding wheelchair. It does the job going over grass and off-roading, lot of stability correcting. I really like vosara v3 you showed in your video.

Thank you very much! Yes, the directional stability of the V3 makes driving much easier again because everything is sloping sideways. With other devices you always drift away. Feel free to write us an email to info@vosara.de and a photo of your mom's wheelchair. Kind regards!

I choose the Freewheel any day of the week. Vosara looks huge and uncomfortable to use / carry. I had no problems with my Freewheel, has been an absolute game changer and I'm quite an active manual wheelchair user.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. You haven't used the V3 yourself, right? It is foldable and easy to transport. Due to the more stable frame, significantly better driving characteristics are possible thanks to the stable steering and active brakes. You should just test it ;-) Kind regards

If you had a release such that you could engage or disengage the tiller handle you could have the best of both products. As it is having the tiller swinging back and forth when manually navigating in tight spaces looks like it could be tricky. Perhaps a spline on the top of the front wheel with a spring loaded clutch would do the trick.

Hello, thanks for the detailed comment! That sounds like a good solution. We still have many additional functions and extensions planned. At the moment we have the simplest basic version. We hope that we can add many more technical highlights to our product!
      Best regards Dom

I have the FreeWheel… and I love it. I like using my upper body strength and the freedom it comprehends. I like doing tricks and other things so the FreeWheel gives me what I need in order to do that. And also the FreeWheel can go straight if you turn the knob too. But I love going down trails in it and being the absolute free 🥰

Hi Ivy thanks for your message. However, the tracking stability of the Vosara APS system ( www.trackstable.vosara.de ) differs significantly (it allows much more activity and efficiency) from what you describe with the knob on the freewheel. Very interesting, I'd love to see the tricks you describe. Is there a video about this? Best regards!

I have the Firefly for front end. Does the job of both power drive and front end elevation with steering + brakes. However it is heavy. I can appreciate that the VOsara + Smoove is a more flexible system. What is the cost of Vosara? Is it available in the USA?
    Thanks for great comparison video

Hi, thanks for your comment and the compliment. 🙂 Yes, many also use the Vosara in connection with their Smoov, Emotion, Twion, SmartDrive, WheelDrive, etc. Exactly, the individual smaller and lighter components are easier to handle. We ship worldwide. The current price for the Vosara can be found here: www.shop.vosara.de/en/Vorsatzrad-v3/ Kind regards

I first had the FreeWheel and also used a SmartDrive MX2, but often burned my hands.
Also because my balance is not good, I often threatened to fall.
Unfortunately I sold the FreeWheel because I couldn't put it on myself.
    Thanks for this video.
Can this modification already be ordered in the Netherlands ?

is this approved by United States Veterans administration to pay for it?

Hello Justin, thanks for your comment. We have not yet had any experience in the USA with the reimbursement of costs by the Veterans Administration. But I think that should be possible. Please send me an email to info@vosara.de for further details. Best regards.

Hello Lee Ramsden, thanks! In which area would you like to use it, why does it have to be super short for you? It is designed for outdoors and streets, sidewalks. Please keep in mind it will start wobbling if it is very short. Many greetings!
