I just have this strange feeling that I am the only person that had no idea that the paragon were used for anything. I got all five of them and didn't even know that they could give me all of this stuff.

Dead Luke I lost them in my first one but the second time I merchant chest looped them so that I could make an easy 100,000 septims then I decided to do this
I only discovered their purpose on my second runthrough of the Dawnguard DLC. I was in the same boat as you.
LIke you the very first time I wan through the Dawnguard Dlc when it was firs released after finding them most by luck. I just threw them in a chest. Now once I collect them all and use them for the loot. I display them in Harbourside my DLC player home available on Nexus.
Am I the only one who sold them because I thought there was no use...
For the diamond paragon, the fastest way is to get it as you're making your way to the temple. As soon as you exit the glacial crevice, follow your first left up the hill. You can't miss it. He's an "on the way" kill, and I like those.
There is actually a hidden room involving the initiates ewer in the hidden room with the Ruby paragon, it has some decent loot so it is definitely worth your time.
The ruby one is the only one you need, if you put it in the portal you'll go right to the forest
I had no idea about the portals the paragons create and I sold the ruby one before I could even use the portal ;-;

There is a mod for the Stones on both the old Skyrim and the Special Edition. I believe I saw it available for XBox One, not sure if is on PS4 though.

TIP: When jumping down to get the last paragon the best way to do so is to use the shout "Become Ethernal" it will remove all fall damage and you can just jump down taking zero damage, hope this helps ^_^
When I jumped down the fountain during the emerald paragon. I walked down the frozen lake and got surprised from 2 dragons!
Fortunately, I killed them, wasting 200 cheese wheels. Never again.

I started playing Skyrim around '12 and only some months ago did I complete the Dawnguard questline. If not for anything else, discovering The Forgotten Vale and it's many wonders whilst completing the quest was one of the most emotionally satisfying gaming experience I have had in a very long time. The plot, the atmosphere, the intricate detail, the captivating soundtrack, the stunning imagery... words cannot describe the emotive journey I had going through this particular quest.
A quick note appreciation for you, ESO, for rekindling my interest in Skyrim after leaving it untended to for years. I love your enthusiasm and passion for this wonderful game. Methinks I should finally get around to completing the whole game (shame on me lol).
Pretty sure you could've whirlwind sprinted across that ledge in the diamond paragon room. I haven't played this game in years but I used to SCOUR it. I've probably had close to 10 characters all with a couple hundred hours in them
So one thing I see missing in your excellent video: How do you get to the Temple? It's not from a wayshrine bc that takes you to the Temple Balcony...not the outside.

@@alfandimaswiraduana179true but become etheral shouts whole purpose is to make you a spirit per say and become invulnerable for a time being. So of course fall damage would not effect you using it. But just how i see it, seems more like common sense to me

You should get the Diamond Paragon through the Shrine of Sight. Right after you teleport through it there is a cave entrance to the right, then you go down and the same valley you gone by top, a player should go by floor 😋

Lel I just wear the best armor I have if the best I have is barbarian armor then your gonna see a shirtless argonian/high elf/kajiit and your not gonna say anything-me to everyone I cross paths with while wear clothes i bought found or looted off of dead bodies
It has the same base armor as Konahrik, the secret Dovah Priest mask.

My personal favorite is the Visage of Mzund. High defense, solid stamina boost, and a unique ability? Yes please.

Sell the paragons to that one Khajit caravan and just pick them back up from the invisible chest.
Considering that the merchant's gold is already located in the chest, this isn't actually as good as it may seem at first.

the gold in the chest is the one the merchant has to buy stuff from you on barter screen, so if you remove all the gold from the chest you can only sell anything to the merchant for 0 xD
eusoumaniaco you can level you’re speech although but it would be better to get the exquisite sapphire and dupe it then sell a bunch of them then collect them from the invisible chest

Here's a tip to hide your treasure, if you're into that sort of thing.
Go onto one of the treasure rooms, and store all your paragons IN it, except for the paragon needed to get there.
Using this, you can use your primary paragon to access the others, which you can use to hide other treasures.
Won't your loot despawn after a while tho?
There's a treasure room next to the ruby giant need to use the initiates ewer to get in
Just wanna spread this as widely as possible. Make sure to 1) Get the paragon in the temple before beating chantry boss(snow elf's brother) and 2) make sure to get circlet of water breathing before besting chantry boss. I point this out cuz you can't get either after the boss fight and most vids on either of these items don't point this out on the other item (like how ESO didn't mention the waterbreathing circlet exclusivity and limited availability).
You can still get the paragon by travelling to the shrine of radiance, which is right before the bridge. dont travel to the temple balcony because that’s blocked off

I just killed one but finished it with the shout that reanimated him. So I had to kill him again but he fell down a cliff while disintegrating into an ash pile mid way down.

Mashed potatoes. I’ve had to restart this game over many times because of all the glitches on the Xbox version due to bugs and glitches that keep quests or quest items on my mission log uncompleted or unattainable, I have watched this video twice now and it’s so helpful.
The Paragons are so amazing to look at and to display in your home.

Finally figured it out, thanks for this video. I actually found 2 of them from just wandering around doing the wayshrine quest and didn't even know about the paragons until I was reading about the main DG quest trying to get to the last wayshrine. So now I have 3 and will go ahead and get the other 2. I will say for those that haven't done the Vale yet, keep in mind you will fight your way to the 3rd giant because he's in Farmer territory. Lots of them and be careful engaging them above because they have the tendency to push you off the bridges. Best to snipe them.
I never knew these can open portals! I just keep them in my castle (Mod: Dragonfall Castle) cause there was a display for the whole collection. Welp time to visit the Forgotten Vale again

If you get the Shadowfoot Sanctum house in the Ratways in Riften, there is a shelf you can put all 5 paragons on for display. It's sick AF.

Just go to the forgotton veil, and choose to go to the shrine of radiance. That's where the entrance to the temple is. And if you've already been, the door will be unlocked. Dont forget to bring the initiates ewer with you.

Inside the temple where you place the ewer on the pedestal if you pick the ewer back up from inside there is another pedestal to re open and inside that room is another pedestal to another hidden room with a couple of more chests and loot.💰

Jensie start at the shrin closest to the temple (not inside the temple) and go to the temple and go where the paragon is (make sure u bring the urn thing still)

first played the dawnguard questline right when i turned 13 as i had the add-on but never felt like downloading it. i really hated the quest in the forgotten vale for some reason, maybe it was because of how it made me feel like i was in a snowy, above-ground Blackreach or maybe because the quest markers were acting up, but i think it was also just because serana kinda stopped being as interesting compared to the middle of the questline with dialogue and the such. overall, the forgotten vale just felt like a chore in the moment and i was just running around with serana wanting to get the thing overwith which also meant that i picked up a paragon or two and never knew what it was for. guess this'll solve that problem for me

i had 7 kill cams because apparantly as soon as my bow was released, the arrow got stuck in the snow, because I was shooting at an angle (at a frost troll next to a very recently dead frost troll in a destroyed tower near a thalmore fort near the dinghy that can carry me, Serana and my horse across the water to castle vocklegiharr).

I like the Arvak horse trick. Summon Arvak and then climb down the cliff. Arvak takes your damage and he can't be killed very easily.

I generally use Become Ethereal for mountain descents and just jump off. As long as you free fall for less than 4 seconds, or whatever level you've upgraded it to, you're good!

It’s definitely easiest to use the crossbow, but if you’re trying to level up your blocking, I found that every hit from them that I block levels up blocking
