@@dackbowland1876 near redline, and that was what the speedometer showed. so probably not entirely accurate as my speedo reads a bit slow i just didn't want to redline it because it makes less power in those really high rpms, and also because 130 in a miata with worn out bushings is kind of scary

There's something about SPEED and MUSIC 🔥 They are a pair and you don't need to be rich or famous although I've never been 196MPH (never had a car that would go anywhere near that 🥳) I had a Ford Sierra 1.8GL (LEMON) in the UK that did 0 to 60 in 3 weeks !!! But once over 70MPH it responded well but still only had a top speed of 120MPH and that was on the M6 UK going to Cornwall but nonetheless even slow speeds with music are such a BUZZ. I have driven a Vauxhall Senator and Sierra Cosworth and the very old Ford Capri 2.8 injection and the acceleration on all those was sick bag at the ready but they were all company cars. Have always wanted to experience the autobahn in Germany but used to enjoy the 200 miles M1 Leeds to London at about 3am when it was void of cars. Always remember early morning speeding down motorway in cold weather and turned on windscreen wash WITH the wipers going at the same time oblivious to the freezing cold outside and the water turned to ice the second it hit the windscreen and the wipers smeared it all completely blocking out the view so quickly opened the window and gently braked and frantically scratched a hole in windscreen to see thru the ice 😳 I'm savvy to that now but could have been a disaster 💥
