I bet fuel consumption was around 250 litres per 100km at that point. it means the engine swallowed 8,5 litres in 34 seconds, which is 5 times faster that turning bottle of water upside down
Nonono. It's nowhere near that bad. I don't have the exact figures here, but it is around 270 litres per hour at wide open throttle. That equates to 2.55 litres for 34 seconds or 1.36 km per litre. Not too bad all things considered.

I have the numbers from the Chief tech at my local Ferrari dealer. Just to put it into perspective how far off your numbers are. That fuel consumption is higher than what a Mercury Racing 1650 uses, your numbers are in fact twice what that engine uses at WOT. That 1650 hp engine uses about 150 gallons per hour. You claim that the LaF uses more than 300 gallons per hour. Don't believe everything people tell you.

I think i might be wrong here. I think the guy took the right lane because there was an upcoming left curve, he took a wider angle, considering the speed he was going at it. He did that so he didn't have to brake, and have a bigger safety margin if ever one so existed at those speeds. I have never passed this road or went on the autobahn, someone will correct me if i am wrong.
@@MaForunaBre That is an interesting point. However, I think it is more that his instincts took over to obey the "Rechtsfahrgebot" (lit. translation: keep right commandment). In the German driver license training, it becomes programmed in your brain to do this, and not sit in the middle lane, which is illegal. On a long southbound stretch of the Autobahn A1, I do 260km/h (on a G29 Z4), even at those speeds, my brain always nags me about "Rechtsfahrgebot" (it was good, because this guy could have been behind me). Also, I don't think he would avoid curves on that car, curves would be fun to tackle. Moral of the story: In Germany it is a serious violation to hog the passing or middle lanes, but doing 372 km/h is OK.
