Tekking, just clarifying a misconception, if you are ever on an area where its below freezing temperature and your clothes are soaked. Its better for you to strip naked and dry your clothes as much as possible before putting it back on, clothes are there not to create warmth, but to retain the warmth that your body creates close to the body as much as possible. Water has a very high heat capacity, meaning it can absorb and incredibly amount of heat/energy, this means that it will drain your body from all its warmth/energy before it dries or heat up.
Jupp, in addition, water is a great conductor of heat, which turns your clothes from something that insulates you/keeps the heat in your body, to something that conducts your body heat to the outside faster than wearing nothing at all.
Ive built an igloo and camped overnight in it with a friend during a church group outing. And let me tell you, those cold walls had me sweating by the time I woke up 😅.

Franky, the most underrated and underappreciated strawhat. I really hope he gets some good shine, he is my favorite strawhat. Maybe we will understand why he redesigned himself so drastically and get insight into the design since Vega Force was so similar to him and the shogun. I hope we leave this arc with Franky getting some major love from the community, like Robin and Jimbei

I could see Vegapunk being the type of person that just can't help himself when it comes to technology and finds the Franky Shogun while he has the crew locked up and just upgrades it because it's fascinating but doesn't meet his standards, or adds more tech to the Clima Tact, such as the weather tech Usopp mentioned he couldn't incorporate. That said I think Chopper's Rumble Balls might be the most fascinating thing to him, especially if, as has been theorized, they can force an Awakening of a Devil Fruit. He might also fix Sanji's Raid Suit just for fun.

I actually think Vegapunk is One Peice's answer to the Doctor from Doctor Who and has ate the special paramecia the Sei Sei no mi or birth or life life fruit which grants him the ability to regenerate into new incarnations which is why Vega 2 is less confident in her abilites compared to her elderly first incarnation but also he can bestow extended livespans to other people I can think of two examples of people who where gifted with longer lifespans thanks to Vegapunk CP0 agent Stussy and Chopper's mother Dr. Kurhea.
Vegapunk always struck me as the kind of scientist that wants to create solely to test and improve his work, even though the government wants him to make weapons, he does so because of the funding that allows him to keep working on stuff
I was under this impression aswell. He has no "moral" reason for joining the marines, or combating pirates with his creations, other than funding, and progressing his science. I also dont think (despite him essentially saying; Dumb pirates, i work for the world government) that he wants to fight pirates. He just wants to build stuff.
We haven't been given any discernable indication that Vegapunk particularly supports the world government or opposes its enemies aside from the work being used for that purpose. It is a possibility that passion for science and improvement is what drives the work.
Yeah the powercreep is real. Chopper failed and Franky barely won, and Usopp literally did nothing, and all pale in comparison to Luffy who Stomped Kaido into the ground miles down. Franky needs Mech buffs Chopper probably needs a better form of Monster point and needs to be stronger overall instead of relying on a time limited form, and Usopp needs a new Kabuto and probably Ammunition
I feel like not many people noticed the note under the panels when she first emerged from the robot. It said that the person (girl calling herself Vega Punk) was talking in "Old Timey Talk".
If Vegapunk is a clan/family that can’t leave the island and is cut of from the world, their language would not change as fast as the rest of the world.
@@braydschannel2077 Old timey talk doesnt mean "language from a different era", it means "language that old people use". In Japanese, there are specific ways to talk for different age groups (for example, some words can be pronounced differently if the speaker is a kid, or and old woman/man), so old timey talk pretty much means "talks like an old man would talk"
I could imagine a lot of the Strawhats would find value interacting with Vegapunk. Most notably Franky, but also Usopp, Chopper, maybe Nami, and possibly even Robin and Sanji. Sanji because he would want his Raid Suit modified so that it doesn't look like the Germa. Robin is just something I thought that maybe Vegapunk actually has a poneglyph or two and maybe even managed to decypher the language. Nami could have her Weatherian technology modified too and Usopp would also like to study some of the tech. Chopper would find some value in the genetic and lineage factor research. I know it's not exactly medical science, but since Queen was able to integrate it into viruses, Chopper might get the idea to use it for healing. Imagine Chopper managing to create a drug that regenerates one's body, even severed limb and missing or destroyed organs. And Franky will obviously be the #1 most interested. Vegapunk could be to Franky what Hogback was to Chopper (before he of course turned out to be complete scum).
The Raid Suit doesn't exist anymore. With Zeus as a permanent part of the climatact, I'm not sure it can be further modified, it's probably in its final version

This Vegapunk is a clone of Sanji’s mom, Sora. That would make Vegapunk her father , and Sanji’s grandfather. To back up this claim, I will lay out the timeline and the evidence to support it. This will probably be lengthy, so grab a drink and let’s get into this ! The original Sora died 15 years ago. We know this because she died 13 years prior to the Cozia Island. Before this event Sanji was imprisoned for 6 months, and before that he lived about a year in the castle after Sora’s death. That gives us a figure of 15 years ago. This clone of Sora appears to be 15 years old. If we look at it with Sanji’s timeline it also supports 15 years ago Sora died. Sanii is currently 21 in the story. He met Zeff when he was 10, but left home two years prior making hm 8 when he left. Six months prior to that he was imprisoned and declared dead, so let’s say he was around 7. He lived a year in the castle after Sora’s death so that puts him at 6 when she died. Next we must look at Judge. He is currently 56 years old. That would have made him 41 years of age at the time of Sora’s death. It was stated that Judge was a member of MADS with Vegapunk around 24 years ago. That would have made Judge around 17 years old. We can assume that Sora was around the same age. So Judge and Sora were teenagers around 24 years ago. They would have met while Judge was working with Vegapunk. It gets even deeper though. There is a fictional comic within the story called Sora, Warrior Of The Sea. This comic is over 20 years old we know. It tells the story of a brave warrior who does battle against the evil Germa with a giant robot and a seagull. They are also featured using what appears to be a space blaster. But is it fictional ? I don’t think so. We know it was published over 20 years ago which lines up when Sora was a teenager. The giant robot in the comic has a hatch which could be a cockpit. This Vegapunk in 1061 which I say is a clone of Sora appears to us out of the cockpit of a giant robot. The only one capable of having a space laser would be Vegapunk. So basically Sora was Batgirl (Batwoman ?) She used her keen intellect and technology to fight the Germa. I want to take moment and talk about the seagull. When Sora was first appeared people speculated the seagull referenced Sengoku. Perhaps he was Sora in his youth, but as I have stayed that’s not the case. However I do think he worked alongside Sora. No I don’t mean he put on some ill fitting tights and played Robin to Sora’s Batgirl (Though that would be funny to see) I think he was the officer that worked with her on joint missions that involved the marines. That would make him like Commissioner Gordon , but Sengoku worked alongside Sora in the field. The comic tells of their exploits with minor modifications to better fit the pro marine narrative. Sora Vegapunk, the real Warrior of the Sea, was erased from of the comics and thus recorded history. The comic Sora , Warrior Of The Sea was made into a male marine officer. Most likely modeled after the then young Sengoku. The reason for this is it completely omits the fact that the real warrior of the sea was an outside force . This better fits the pro marine narrative. They don’t want it to show the marines needed/relied on an outside force or the marines might appear weak. Again this is pro marine propaganda to encourage recruitment. Sengoku was replaced with a seagull and the comics played out. I think it went down like this. The original Sora opposed what the Germa was doing, and wanted to fight back against them. She would have developed a friendship with Judge being similar ages and also both scientists. Because of this and her fathers relationship with Judge she chose to disguise herself as the warrior of the sea. Judge being a teenager at the time was likely the prince of the Germa kingdom, not the acting ruler. Things got complicated though. Sora fell in love with Judge. This is where things get murky . Why would Sora fall in love with someone from a kingdom she vehemently opposed ? Well the heart has a mind of it’s own. It very well could be the Judge at the time also opposed how his father was ruling the Germa. Judge could have discovered Sora’s identity and helped her overthrow his father the king. Then after that Judge and Sora got married, and became the active rulers of the Germa. They vowed to turn the Germa into a scientific kingdom, to better the world. We know the scientists involved in MADS were labeled criminals, Queen and Caesar have a bounty yet Judge does not. Is that because Vegapunk turned himself in to the World Government in exchange they left his daughter and son in law alone ? Something happened to Judge though. The Judge we know is a cold heartless man, acting without any emotion or feeling. I think it can be said that he acts exactly like the other Vinsmoke children , except Sanji. I think Judge was robbed of his emotions after marrying Sora. Sora was a gentle kind woman, she would have never married someone like the Judge we know. I think that’s because he was robbed of his emotions. As to how it came to be he was robbed of his emotions I’m not sure. I think it was someone in MADS. Just in Wano Queen was talking about MADS. Queen’s familiarity with the Vinsmokes would point him as a possible suspect. Though for us to learn about this after Queen is defeated, and him being the perpetrator would be odd. It points to a yet unnamed member of MADS. I just don’t think it was an accident Judge was robbed of his emotions. That might be Oda’s way of twisting Judge’s story to one of tragedy. A Question you might be asking is why would Judge’s colleagues and most likely friends, do this ? The answer is Judge would have been seen as a traitor to MADS when he helped Sora overthrow the then king of the Germa, Judge’s father. Again giving Judge’s age he would have been the prince at the time. If the price was a member of MADS it would reason his father was also. Judge’s father might have been a very important figure in MADS. When the other members learned Judge helped Sora take down the king they wanted revenge. They hatched a plan without Vegapunk being in the know. What better revenge is there ? They waited until Judge married Sora then robbed him of his emotions , essentially robbing him of any happiness he might have. Ruining not only Judge’s life but everyone involved with him too. That’s revenge at its finest. This would have happened after Judge and Sora got married , but before the Conquest of Four Nations. I realize there is one snag with this. Sora continued to stay with Judge and the Germa, despite their warmongering ways. She was the Queen while this was going on. This would contradict the views she held as a teen when she was the warrior of the sea. Yet the Sora we saw was gentle and kind. I think it’s quite complicated. Sora loved Judge, and the heart gets in the way of things. Also if he was robbed of his emotions against his will , then she might have stayed to try to save him. It could also be she was trapped. It’s said Judge forced her to undergo the modification surgery to alter their children. Being forced means she had no control of anything, so she became a prisoner in a gilded cage. Later Sora would drink the medicine that would lead to her death. The intended purpose to counteract the effects of the surgery and save her children’s humanity. When she died Vegapunk in his grief cloned his daughter. This would have been 15 years ago. Which explains this young girls age claiming to be Vegapunk. That is because she is Sora Vegapunk, daughter of THE Vegapunk, but also a scientist in her own right. Another clue to this is how she introduces herself. “I work for the World Government! Despite my mediocrity. They like to call me their scientific genius” If this was THE Vegapunk, the most brilliant scientist in the entire world, he would not call himself mediocre. I don’t buy the being humble argument. I think it’s far more likely that THE Vegapunk had to retire due to his age, and this is when his daughter Sora the clone took over his work. I think THE Vegapunk is still on Egghead though and will play a huge role in this arc. This is also the reason The Straw Hats will be welcomed on Egghead Island, despite being called filthy pirates. Sanji will recognize her face and start a commotion. The clone will realize that Sanji is connected to the original Sora’s past. She will then let everyone on the island so her and Sanii can talk. He would have the knowledge of the Vinsmoke modifications, and the ability to bring out Sanji’s full enhancements without the raid suit or the risk of altering his personality. In closing on this theory I want to touch on the medicine Sora drank. We don’t know it’s origins or what was in it. We only know it was to save all of the children’s humanity, but only worked on Sanji. There is something else that separates Sanii from his siblings though, and that is his ability to generate fire similar to that of a Lunarian. I find it very interesting that we were recently introduced to the Seraphim, modified clones of the warlords with cybernetic enhancements and Lunarian DNA. Now we are introducing to a Vegapunk who looks like Sora. Is it possible that Sanii was a test run to see if Human and Lunarian DNA could mix ? What if it was THE Vegapunk who made it for Sora. Inside of it was something that would alter their DNA to mix in Lunarian DNA. The only one it worked on was Sanii though. He doesn’t have the dark skin or wings , but again this was an early experiment. The basis of which would lead to the seraphim.
Now there is another theory that I have concerning this arc , and the two might be related. I think in the Egghead arc we will learn the origins and secrets of Blackbeard. As detailed above MADS was active 39/40 years ago which is the same age as Blackbeard. They are known to have discovered the lineage factor, or the blueprints of life itself. They were labeled criminals by the World Government for engaging in taboo sciences. I think that taboo was Blackbeard. Cloning someone is one thing, but creating life is an act of god. I can absolutely see why this would be outlawed by the powers that be. I think Blackbeard was created by MADS. The nature of his creation is what gives him the ability to hold more than one fruit. After he was created by MADS he raised like a son by Vegapunk. During this time Blackbeard was taught all the secrets of Devil Fruits. The secrets of this knowledge is how he steals fruits from other users. I’m aware that in an SBS Oda revealed Blackbeard’s mother and sisters, allow me to explain my thoughts on this. In the case of Luffy, Ace, and Sabo they are brothers yet share no blood relation between them. Oda has shown that just because someone is called family it doesn’t mean they are blood related. I think that is the case here. The woman shown as his mother is someone who had close ties to Vegapunk, and took the young boy in. The reasons behind him being left with this woman are not entirely clear, but there are two distinct possibilities. As mentioned in the theory above if Vegapunk turned himself in to the World Government, this could be one reason why Blackbeard was left with this woman. However there is another more cruel possibility. The reason Blackbeard may have been abandoned by Vegapunk is he’s a failure. He cannot sleep therefore he isn’t a perfect replica of a human. Take Momo’s fruit that was deemed a failure, so far the only flaw we have seen is the dragon form is pink. Everything is exactly the same as Kaido’s except the color. Vegapunk accepts no less than perfection. We saw in an SBS the young Blackbeard crying at the moon. Was he crying because he can’t sleep ? Or because the man who raised him abandoned him ? Possibly both ? Now let’s discuss the nature of his creation, and what the “they” is about and the three skulls. The scientists of MAD did not just want to play god, they wanted to do better and create perfection. They took the DNA of three prominent figures in the world at the time, one of those being Rocks Xebec. The other two individuals who make up his DNA I’m not sure yet. When we do find out they will all be notable names. That is why Blackbeard can have three different fruits is he is made up of three sets of DNA. We must think of Blackbeard like Frankenstein. In that story a mad scientist used the parts of different corpses to create the perfect man and brought it to life. I don’t think the MADS scientist robbed corpses and stitched them together , but they had the knowledge and capability to work with DNA. Who knows ? He might be stitched together, but I don’t think so. During his time with Vegapunk he would have learned the nature of his creation, and the names of the three people who make up his DNA. Concerning his name there are two possibilities. We know the D comes from Xebec. The Marshall and Teach might be the names of the other two people that make up his DNA. I can’t think of any prominent figures that fit that bill though. The other possibility is Marshall is what he was named by Vegapunk with the Teach being the last name of the woman who took him him. He is very proud that part of his DNA comes from Rocks, and that is why his ship is called the Saber of Xebec. One last thing of note. In the novel Frankenstein the monster kills its creator. If Oda truly wants to continue the comparison I predict Blackbeard will attack Egghead island to kill THE Vegapunk. If he not already has. It could easily be why his daughter (clone or not) had to take over for her father, that Blackbeard has already killed the original Vegapunk. That might also explain his current bounty if he did kill THE Vegapunk. If THE Vegapunk is still alive I predict Blackbeard will attack Egghead while The Straw Hats are on the island. That would mean that this arc would lead directly into the conflict of The Blackbeard Pirates and The Straw Hat Pirates.
Why do people forget the Op Op Fruit and the Immortial Youth Surgery as well as BONNEY'S FRUIT. Bonney who has a connection with VegaPunk and Kuma who was experimented on by VegaPunk. What if this is indeed VegaPunk who either is Immortal or has used the Bonney's fruit to De-Age herself.
On a completely unrelated note, pirate ships tend to match the crew or captain. The strawhats have the thousand sunny, turns out Luffy isn't a rubber man but a sun god.The going Merry was a sheep who died saving the crew. Goes really well with the theory that Usopp is going to die being a brave warrior, possibly saving the rest of the crew
I honestly think there’s a chance that “Vegapunk” is multiple people. We’ve seen things with the word “Vega” painted on them, as well as things with “punk” printed on them. Maybe it’s a situation where they are semi-competing scientists.
Not competing, but collaborating. If Vegapunk is such a Gigabrain why would he settle for the limitations of one concurrent body. He'd be able to get more done with multiple coordinated bodies.
It is possible that if Vegapunk does lock up the Strawhats, Robin will say code phrase to Vegapunk to let Vegapunk know her connections to the Revolutionaries and that is when Vegapunk will let them go and give them the tour/help them out
Interesting question I thought of recently: Would Dressrosa Luffy need to go into Gear Fourth to beat Dressrosa Zoro? I feel like they were much closer in power around that point in the story.
I´d love for Vegapunk to be actually a bad guy. I can already picture Franky thanking Vegapunk for letting Kuma protect the Sunny and telling her that it is nice to have an ally like her Only for her to say that Kuma taunted her into program Kuma to protect the Sunny Kuma: "Hey can you do me a favor and let me protect the Strawhat´s ship" Vegapunk: "No" Kuma: "Yeah figures.... Progeamming something like that might be out of your league. Well dont worry I´ll ask Judge or Queen..." Vegapunk: "Fuck you Ill do it"

I'm under the personal belief that it is Dr. Vegapunk. Oda likes to troll us quite a lot, nothing is sacred. Like for the entirety of the story up until 1045 we thought Luffy ate the Gomu Gomu no mi, nope, he hate the Hito Hito no mi, Model:Nika. So I don't think Oda is going to make Vegapunk an old man who makes robots or clones of young women that he can then control(which to me sounds like he's a major pervert). I personally believe that it is Vegapunk, like she made a perfect clone or a robot that looks exactly like herself(which would explain the PUNK-02 on her chest) and she can control them from the safety of her facility whilst she experiments on Devil Fruits. This also makes me think that she's also looking for a way to stay young forever without needing a clone, which is probably why Bonnie and her have some business. She might not be "THE" Vegapunk, so she might be like a daughter or a granddaughter or something. But I love her design so much that I just don't want her to be thrown away and never really be seen again or heard of again in the story.

I just don't want her to be made a character we almost never see or never see again because she has 0 relation to vegapunk or is just a clone/robot controlled by an old man.
I think it's going to be Vegapunk daughter/granddaughter or something, only because she said, "I work for the government, despite my mediocrity, they like to call me their scientific genius." Makes sense to me that she could be related to Vegapunk and took over his work but doesn't feel she's as good as the old one.

Actually, since we know basically nothing concrete about vegapunks morals, as we have really conflicting information. Wouldn't it be really messed up if he had a kid, and then turned her into a cyborg replacement body.
Though I doubt that it actually was Vegapunk but Yamato was/is referred to as Kaido’s Son so for all we know it could be that again but would kinda fell cheap to have that happen again.
Regarding why Luffy and his group took their clothes off and dried them, its a survival thing. If your clothes are wet, and its significantly below freezing, if you don't dry them off somehow it won't be long before you're literally wearing ice. It is actually better to be naked than to be wearing wet clothes in those conditions.
Actually Raliegh wasn't on Sabaody. He was with Luffy during the time skip. Shaky probably could have protected the Sunny, but she's only one warrior. And she's probably out of practice in a fight.

I’m hoping she’s not actually vegapunk, cus I got spoiled on her design just due to sheer bad luck, so it’d be great to hold off on Vegapunk just a little while more. But I don’t doubt Vegapunk could be a young girl, if Vegapunk does indeed have connections to the revolutionaries and evankov, maybe he was known in the marines as an old man, but maybe that’s just his public image, or maybe he feels more comfortable in a young female body, ya never know. That’s the cool thing of one piece, you could know the physical description of any character down to the hair and eye colour, but until they’re revealed in the story, you can never really know for sure

Tekking, just clarifying a misconception, if you are ever on an area where its below freezing temperature and your clothes are soaked. Its better for you to strip naked and dry your clothes as much as possible before putting it back on, clothes are there not to create warmth, but to retain the warmth that your body creates close to the body as much as possible. Water has a very high heat capacity, meaning it can absorb and incredibly amount of heat/energy, this means that it will drain your body from all its warmth/energy before it dries or heat up.
Jupp, in addition, water is a great conductor of heat, which turns your clothes from something that insulates you/keeps the heat in your body, to something that conducts your body heat to the outside faster than wearing nothing at all.

I could see Vegapunk being the type of person that just can't help himself when it comes to technology and finds the Franky Shogun while he has the crew locked up and just upgrades it because it's fascinating but doesn't meet his standards, or adds more tech to the Clima Tact, such as the weather tech Usopp mentioned he couldn't incorporate. That said I think Chopper's Rumble Balls might be the most fascinating thing to him, especially if, as has been theorized, they can force an Awakening of a Devil Fruit. He might also fix Sanji's Raid Suit just for fun.

I actually think Vegapunk is One Peice's answer to the Doctor from Doctor Who and has ate the special paramecia the Sei Sei no mi or birth or life life fruit which grants him the ability to regenerate into new incarnations which is why Vega 2 is less confident in her abilites compared to her elderly first incarnation but also he can bestow extended livespans to other people I can think of two examples of people who where gifted with longer lifespans thanks to Vegapunk CP0 agent Stussy and Chopper's mother Dr. Kurhea.

Vegapunk always struck me as the kind of scientist that wants to create solely to test and improve his work, even though the government wants him to make weapons, he does so because of the funding that allows him to keep working on stuff
I was under this impression aswell. He has no "moral" reason for joining the marines, or combating pirates with his creations, other than funding, and progressing his science.
I also dont think (despite him essentially saying; Dumb pirates, i work for the world government) that he wants to fight pirates. He just wants to build stuff.
We haven't been given any discernable indication that Vegapunk particularly supports the world government or opposes its enemies aside from the work being used for that purpose. It is a possibility that passion for science and improvement is what drives the work.

Yeah the powercreep is real. Chopper failed and Franky barely won, and Usopp literally did nothing, and all pale in comparison to Luffy who Stomped Kaido into the ground miles down. Franky needs Mech buffs Chopper probably needs a better form of Monster point and needs to be stronger overall instead of relying on a time limited form, and Usopp needs a new Kabuto and probably Ammunition

I feel like not many people noticed the note under the panels when she first emerged from the robot. It said that the person (girl calling herself Vega Punk) was talking in "Old Timey Talk".
If Vegapunk is a clan/family that can’t leave the island and is cut of from the world, their language would not change as fast as the rest of the world.

In Japanese, there are specific ways to talk for different age groups (for example, some words can be pronounced differently if the speaker is a kid, or and old woman/man), so old timey talk pretty much means "talks like an old man would talk"

I could imagine a lot of the Strawhats would find value interacting with Vegapunk. Most notably Franky, but also Usopp, Chopper, maybe Nami, and possibly even Robin and Sanji. Sanji because he would want his Raid Suit modified so that it doesn't look like the Germa. Robin is just something I thought that maybe Vegapunk actually has a poneglyph or two and maybe even managed to decypher the language. Nami could have her Weatherian technology modified too and Usopp would also like to study some of the tech. Chopper would find some value in the genetic and lineage factor research. I know it's not exactly medical science, but since Queen was able to integrate it into viruses, Chopper might get the idea to use it for healing. Imagine Chopper managing to create a drug that regenerates one's body, even severed limb and missing or destroyed organs. And Franky will obviously be the #1 most interested. Vegapunk could be to Franky what Hogback was to Chopper (before he of course turned out to be complete scum).
What if Zeus eats a devil fruit ?

This Vegapunk is a clone of Sanji’s mom, Sora. That would make Vegapunk her father , and Sanji’s grandfather. To back up this claim, I will lay out the timeline and the evidence to support it. This will probably be lengthy, so grab a drink and let’s get into this !
The original Sora died 15 years ago. We know this because she died 13 years prior to the Cozia Island. Before this event Sanji was imprisoned for 6 months, and before that he lived about a year in the castle after Sora’s death. That gives us a figure of 15 years ago. This clone of Sora appears to be 15 years old.
If we look at it with Sanji’s timeline it also supports 15 years ago Sora died. Sanii is currently 21 in the story. He met Zeff when he was 10, but left home two years prior making hm 8 when he left. Six months prior to that he was imprisoned and declared dead, so let’s say he was around 7. He lived a year in the castle after Sora’s death so that puts him at 6 when she died.
Next we must look at Judge. He is currently 56 years old. That would have made him 41 years of age at the time of Sora’s death. It was stated that Judge was a member of MADS with Vegapunk around 24 years ago. That would have made Judge around 17 years old. We can assume that Sora was around the same age. So Judge and Sora were teenagers around 24 years ago. They would have met while Judge was working with Vegapunk.
It gets even deeper though. There is a fictional comic within the story called Sora, Warrior Of The Sea. This comic is over 20 years old we know. It tells the story of a brave warrior who does battle against the evil Germa with a giant robot and a seagull. They are also featured using what appears to be a space blaster.
But is it fictional ? I don’t think so. We know it was published over 20 years ago which lines up when Sora was a teenager. The giant robot in the comic has a hatch which could be a cockpit. This Vegapunk in 1061 which I say is a clone of Sora appears to us out of the cockpit of a giant robot. The only one capable of having a space laser would be Vegapunk.
So basically Sora was Batgirl (Batwoman ?) She used her keen intellect and technology to fight the Germa.
I want to take moment and talk about the seagull. When Sora was first appeared people speculated the seagull referenced Sengoku. Perhaps he was Sora in his youth, but as I have stayed that’s not the case. However I do think he worked alongside Sora. No I don’t mean he put on some ill fitting tights and played Robin to Sora’s Batgirl (Though that would be funny to see)
I think he was the officer that worked with her on joint missions that involved the marines. That would make him like Commissioner Gordon , but Sengoku worked alongside Sora in the field. The comic tells of their exploits with minor modifications to better fit the pro marine narrative.
Sora Vegapunk, the real Warrior of the Sea, was erased from of the comics and thus recorded history. The comic Sora , Warrior Of The Sea was made into a male marine officer. Most likely modeled after the then young Sengoku. The reason for this is it completely omits the fact that the real warrior of the sea was an outside force . This better fits the pro marine narrative.
They don’t want it to show the marines needed/relied on an outside force or the marines might appear weak. Again this is pro marine propaganda to encourage recruitment.
Sengoku was replaced with a seagull and the comics played out.
I think it went down like this. The original Sora opposed what the Germa was doing, and wanted to fight back against them. She would have developed a friendship with Judge being similar ages and also both scientists. Because of this and her fathers relationship with Judge she chose to disguise herself as the warrior of the sea. Judge being a teenager at the time was likely the prince of the Germa kingdom, not the acting ruler.
Things got complicated though. Sora fell in love with Judge. This is where things get murky . Why would Sora fall in love with someone from a kingdom she vehemently opposed ?
Well the heart has a mind of it’s own. It very well could be the Judge at the time also opposed how his father was ruling the Germa. Judge could have discovered Sora’s identity and helped her overthrow his father the king. Then after that Judge and Sora got married, and became the active rulers of the Germa. They vowed to turn the Germa into a scientific kingdom, to better the world.
We know the scientists involved in MADS were labeled criminals, Queen and Caesar have a bounty yet Judge does not. Is that because Vegapunk turned himself in to the World Government in exchange they left his daughter and son in law alone ?
Something happened to Judge though. The Judge we know is a cold heartless man, acting without any emotion or feeling. I think it can be said that he acts exactly like the other Vinsmoke children , except Sanji. I think Judge was robbed of his emotions after marrying Sora. Sora was a gentle kind woman, she would have never married someone like the Judge we know. I think that’s because he was robbed of his emotions.
As to how it came to be he was robbed of his emotions I’m not sure. I think it was someone in MADS. Just in Wano Queen was talking about MADS. Queen’s familiarity with the Vinsmokes would point him as a possible suspect. Though for us to learn about this after Queen is defeated, and him being the perpetrator would be odd. It points to a yet unnamed member of MADS.
I just don’t think it was an accident Judge was robbed of his emotions. That might be Oda’s way of twisting Judge’s story to one of tragedy.
A Question you might be asking is why would Judge’s colleagues and most likely friends, do this ?
The answer is Judge would have been seen as a traitor to MADS when he helped Sora overthrow the then king of the Germa, Judge’s father.
Again giving Judge’s age he would have been the prince at the time. If the price was a member of MADS it would reason his father was also. Judge’s father might have been a very important figure in MADS. When the other members learned Judge helped Sora take down the king they wanted revenge. They hatched a plan without Vegapunk being in the know.
What better revenge is there ? They waited until Judge married Sora then robbed him of his emotions , essentially robbing him of any happiness he might have. Ruining not only Judge’s life but everyone involved with him too. That’s revenge at its finest.
This would have happened after Judge and Sora got married , but before the Conquest of Four Nations.
I realize there is one snag with this. Sora continued to stay with Judge and the Germa, despite their warmongering ways. She was the Queen while this was going on. This would contradict the views she held as a teen when she was the warrior of the sea. Yet the Sora we saw was gentle and kind.
I think it’s quite complicated. Sora loved Judge, and the heart gets in the way of things. Also if he was robbed of his emotions against his will , then she might have stayed to try to save him. It could also be she was trapped. It’s said Judge forced her to undergo the modification surgery to alter their children. Being forced means she had no control of anything, so she became a prisoner in a gilded cage.
Later Sora would drink the medicine that would lead to her death. The intended purpose to counteract the effects of the surgery and save her children’s humanity. When she died Vegapunk in his grief cloned his daughter. This would have been 15 years ago. Which explains this young girls age claiming to be Vegapunk. That is because she is Sora Vegapunk, daughter of THE Vegapunk, but also a scientist in her own right.
Another clue to this is how she introduces herself. “I work for the World Government! Despite my mediocrity. They like to call me their scientific genius”
If this was THE Vegapunk, the most brilliant scientist in the entire world, he would not call himself mediocre. I don’t buy the being humble argument. I think it’s far more likely that THE Vegapunk had to retire due to his age, and this is when his daughter Sora the clone took over his work. I think THE Vegapunk is still on Egghead though and will play a huge role in this arc.
This is also the reason The Straw Hats will be welcomed on Egghead Island, despite being called filthy pirates. Sanji will recognize her face and start a commotion. The clone will realize that Sanji is connected to the original Sora’s past. She will then let everyone on the island so her and Sanii can talk.
He would have the knowledge of the Vinsmoke modifications, and the ability to bring out Sanji’s full enhancements without the raid suit or the risk of altering his personality.
In closing on this theory I want to touch on the medicine Sora drank. We don’t know it’s origins or what was in it. We only know it was to save all of the children’s humanity, but only worked on Sanji. There is something else that separates Sanii from his siblings though, and that is his ability to generate fire similar to that of a Lunarian.
I find it very interesting that we were recently introduced to the Seraphim, modified clones of the warlords with cybernetic enhancements and Lunarian DNA. Now we are introducing to a Vegapunk who looks like Sora.
Is it possible that Sanii was a test run to see if Human and Lunarian DNA could mix ?
What if it was THE Vegapunk who made it for Sora. Inside of it was something that would alter their DNA to mix in Lunarian DNA. The only one it worked on was Sanii though. He doesn’t have the dark skin or wings , but again this was an early experiment. The basis of which would lead to the seraphim.
Now there is another theory that I have concerning this arc , and the two might be related. I think in the Egghead arc we will learn the origins and secrets of Blackbeard.
As detailed above MADS was active 39/40 years ago which is the same age as Blackbeard. They are known to have discovered the lineage factor, or the blueprints of life itself. They were labeled criminals by the World Government for engaging in taboo sciences.
I think that taboo was Blackbeard. Cloning someone is one thing, but creating life is an act of god. I can absolutely see why this would be outlawed by the powers that be.
I think Blackbeard was created by MADS. The nature of his creation is what gives him the ability to hold more than one fruit. After he was created by MADS he raised like a son by Vegapunk. During this time Blackbeard was taught all the secrets of Devil Fruits. The secrets of this knowledge is how he steals fruits from other users.
I’m aware that in an SBS Oda revealed Blackbeard’s mother and sisters, allow me to explain my thoughts on this. In the case of Luffy, Ace, and Sabo they are brothers yet share no blood relation between them. Oda has shown that just because someone is called family it doesn’t mean they are blood related. I think that is the case here.
The woman shown as his mother is someone who had close ties to Vegapunk, and took the young boy in. The reasons behind him being left with this woman are not entirely clear, but there are two distinct possibilities. As mentioned in the theory above if Vegapunk turned himself in to the World Government, this could be one reason why Blackbeard was left with this woman.
However there is another more cruel possibility. The reason Blackbeard may have been abandoned by Vegapunk is he’s a failure. He cannot sleep therefore he isn’t a perfect replica of a human. Take Momo’s fruit that was deemed a failure, so far the only flaw we have seen is the dragon form is pink. Everything is exactly the same as Kaido’s except the color. Vegapunk accepts no less than perfection.
We saw in an SBS the young Blackbeard crying at the moon. Was he crying because he can’t sleep ? Or because the man who raised him abandoned him ? Possibly both ?
Now let’s discuss the nature of his creation, and what the “they” is about and the three skulls. The scientists of MAD did not just want to play god, they wanted to do better and create perfection. They took the DNA of three prominent figures in the world at the time, one of those being Rocks Xebec. The other two individuals who make up his DNA I’m not sure yet. When we do find out they will all be notable names.
That is why Blackbeard can have three different fruits is he is made up of three sets of DNA.
We must think of Blackbeard like Frankenstein. In that story a mad scientist used the parts of different corpses to create the perfect man and brought it to life. I don’t think the MADS scientist robbed corpses and stitched them together , but they had the knowledge and capability to work with DNA. Who knows ? He might be stitched together, but I don’t think so.
During his time with Vegapunk he would have learned the nature of his creation, and the names of the three people who make up his DNA.
Concerning his name there are two possibilities. We know the D comes from Xebec. The Marshall and Teach might be the names of the other two people that make up his DNA. I can’t think of any prominent figures that fit that bill though. The other possibility is Marshall is what he was named by Vegapunk with the Teach being the last name of the woman who took him him.
He is very proud that part of his DNA comes from Rocks, and that is why his ship is called the Saber of Xebec.
One last thing of note. In the novel Frankenstein the monster kills its creator. If Oda truly wants to continue the comparison I predict Blackbeard will attack Egghead island to kill THE Vegapunk. If he not already has. It could easily be why his daughter (clone or not) had to take over for her father, that Blackbeard has already killed the original Vegapunk.
That might also explain his current bounty if he did kill THE Vegapunk.
If THE Vegapunk is still alive I predict Blackbeard will attack Egghead while The Straw Hats are on the island. That would mean that this arc would lead directly into the conflict of The Blackbeard Pirates and The Straw Hat Pirates.

I'm under the personal belief that it is Dr. Vegapunk. Oda likes to troll us quite a lot, nothing is sacred. Like for the entirety of the story up until 1045 we thought Luffy ate the Gomu Gomu no mi, nope, he hate the Hito Hito no mi, Model:Nika. So I don't think Oda is going to make Vegapunk an old man who makes robots or clones of young women that he can then control(which to me sounds like he's a major pervert). I personally believe that it is Vegapunk, like she made a perfect clone or a robot that looks exactly like herself(which would explain the PUNK-02 on her chest) and she can control them from the safety of her facility whilst she experiments on Devil Fruits. This also makes me think that she's also looking for a way to stay young forever without needing a clone, which is probably why Bonnie and her have some business. She might not be "THE" Vegapunk, so she might be like a daughter or a granddaughter or something. But I love her design so much that I just don't want her to be thrown away and never really be seen again or heard of again in the story.
Her design is quite cool, I gotta admit.
@@senorquack5182 Yeah. She might look like "Nami number 56432" but the body suit, the short messy hair, the jacket the helmet. It's really unique IMO. I just don't want her to be made a character we almost never see or never see again because she has 0 relation to vegapunk or is just a clone/robot controlled by an old man.
I think it's going to be Vegapunk daughter/granddaughter or something, only because she said, "I work for the government, despite my mediocrity, they like to call me their scientific genius." Makes sense to me that she could be related to Vegapunk and took over his work but doesn't feel she's as good as the old one.
@@sweptay Possibly. Maybe the "real" Vegapunk can't really do much and so his daughter/granddaughter took over in his place. Im going for Vegapunk is a woman, and the 02 is just meaning she's a robot built to look like herself. But i'll be happy as long as she's not being controlled by a old man.
Actually, since we know basically nothing concrete about vegapunks morals, as we have really conflicting information. Wouldn't it be really messed up if he had a kid, and then turned her into a cyborg replacement body.

Though I doubt that it actually was Vegapunk but Yamato was/is referred to as Kaido’s Son so for all we know it could be that again but would kinda fell cheap to have that happen again.
Regarding why Luffy and his group took their clothes off and dried them, its a survival thing. If your clothes are wet, and its significantly below freezing, if you don't dry them off somehow it won't be long before you're literally wearing ice. It is actually better to be naked than to be wearing wet clothes in those conditions.

Actually Raliegh wasn't on Sabaody. He was with Luffy during the time skip. Shaky probably could have protected the Sunny, but she's only one warrior. And she's probably out of practice in a fight.

I’m hoping she’s not actually vegapunk, cus I got spoiled on her design just due to sheer bad luck, so it’d be great to hold off on Vegapunk just a little while more. But I don’t doubt Vegapunk could be a young girl, if Vegapunk does indeed have connections to the revolutionaries and evankov, maybe he was known in the marines as an old man, but maybe that’s just his public image, or maybe he feels more comfortable in a young female body, ya never know. That’s the cool thing of one piece, you could know the physical description of any character down to the hair and eye colour, but until they’re revealed in the story, you can never really know for sure
