    It's all because of rampant corruption and greater Noida authority is the main culprit. The government should make the builders and authorities pay for the people's losses.

    They were sleeping when the 400 building were on construction and people were shifting. Not even they responded when 2 building collapsed, suddenly they saw. It’s a new city and we haven’t earned much. Let’s get something out of it

    How a property could be deemed illegal when it has govt installed gas pipeline, govt electrical/water fitting and bank loans. You can’t expect a home buyer to be such technical to understand legalities and veracity of govt permissions shown by the builder.
    At the same time if these structures are denting some master plan then must be scrapped.. I know the pain of commuting from Shahberi road, widening is long time due and govt must be thinking of the same.
    Govt must provide alternate flats to residents before demolition and do genuine investigation to raise penalty fund from builders and the authorities concerned who cleared projects at first place. More disturbing area around is the furniture market which is clear illegal occupation which cause narrowing the road.
    You can’t vacant a govt registered living place on the basis of legality.

    20 lakh ka flat... Arey this is building mafia which wants to demolish the poors house and build high rise flats and resale it. I guess the people who are staying to form a cooperative society meetup together and stand a dharna of atleast 50000 strength at the tehsil which wants it to be demolished

    I mean did people knew that it was an illegal property before buying... If they knew then it's their fault.. but having said all this... The building promoters should refund the money as they knew that it was illegal.. and taking public for a ride

    Bcz of previous govt of sp and bsp, that's flats are illegal, they built on ponds or lakes area, after few years, they fallen down.

    Greater Noida authority will never reply. By the way was the authority and it's officials sleeping when the builders were raising these towers in Shaberi village. Every official at that time frame should be taken into radar and strict actions should be taken on them.

      @@pawsomepeople344 it's not feasible unless your ancestors were kind enough to leave you a piece of land, that too in prime locality where hospitals, police stations and educational/banking institutions are nearby.
      Also, at a time when population is ever increasing, flats will be the cheaper option.
      What really should be done is, we need actual properties and government institutions which specifically focuses on infrastructure development. This government institution should be equipped with quick licensing, approval and background verification of builders.

      @@pawsomepeople344 you are absolutely correct..but its getting rather very difficult these days to find a ideal plot without any legal dispute and within middle class budget..Building raw material costs are getting astronomical by every passing month and thanks to the rapidly increasing rather exploding population of our country the land is decreasing while the demand for new houses are increasing..People are just desperate to get a roof in their names above their head..

      @@robindey4031 First of all middle class are looking for prime location land which is not possible in this day & age. Secondly middle class earning is not getting bigger day by day so getting the land and making a house is impossible. If one is middle class and want to invest right then hear the words of rakesh jhunjhunwala who is number one investor in india, he says "Don't buy land and build house. Just rent a house instead.". If most of middle class adopt this method then future generations will not see this day where land cost will high and also middle class make more earning in buying share from saved income.

      @@wolfie351 Renting a house and paying rent may be a solution but for how many years and for many families..Going by the rate india is growing in man power every years wouldn't we need thousands of new houses to accommodate new families..Our national target is to get married and have atleast 2 kids and most of the new wives or couples want to have a separate home for their "new family "...joint families are almost the charm of bygone eras..Whatever Mr.Jhunjhunwala said was from a builder's point of view.....and if most of the people opt rented property there would be certain landlord or builder fraternity as well.....I live in Eastern part of U.P trust me out here there's so much scarcity of new plots that if someone buys a plot leaves it with boundaries walls and ģate and forgets about it. .Rest assured the plot can be sold easily at 4 times higher rate after few years..Well if middle class finds their solution in dwelling in rented property then people like me will be the happiest one. ...as i can charge them enough even make smaller apartments to accommodate more and more tenants like Singaporean landlords..🤣🤣🤣🤣
