I'm a neophyte to AFL so I've been binging your videos, and it's fantastic to learn about the tactics and depth of the game. This channel is great - keep up the work guys!
Cracking content lads, informative and engaging. As a Lions supporter: simply backing up successful 2019 and 2020 season campaigns, building upon the club's "big match" profile, and taking one step further in this window. The squad profile feels truly balanced, and Daniher's impact should prove invaluable.
As a Swans Supporter from the U.S., I'm hoping for the Swans to have a solid year with some great wins here and there throughout the upcoming season. Despite this however, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we missed Finals again, especially with us relying relatively on younger players. I'm hoping for at least a finish outside the Bottom 4.
It's interesting watching something like this after the season has finished, to compare how the predictions (or requirements) panned out. The Western Bulldogs were pretty spot on, finishing 5th to make a GF. Melbourne was absolutely underdone (now in hindsight), after winning 9 straight games to open, finishing top of the ladder, 3rd highest %, and the Premiership.
As a Bulldogs supporter, I would honestly love to see the Bulldogs get off to a consistent and hot start to the year and finish off with great form heading into September, as our last two finals campaigns started off badly, and it wasn't until a mid-season surge with a strong finish to the season that gave them a finals berth. Both those campaigns resulted in eliminations in the first week. This season needs to be more than that. That 2016 premiership almost seems like a distant memory, and the remanding and young core needs to replicate it in order to become serious contenders. With the big recruits coming in this season, the Bulldogs should be looking for a top 4 spot and at least a finals win. No more 7th place finishes, it worked in 2016, but not the last two seasons.
Feels like the las few years its taken Bevo near on 6 rounds working out the best 22 by which point the club plays catch up. Really hope they're more sure of the selections from the go.
The Bulldogs need to shore up their forward and defensive lines, or they'll continue to make up the numbers in September. Caleb Daniel can't do it himself - and the forward line is an absolute mess. JUH won't come on for another few years - so there needs to be some major improvement quickly via trading.
Bulldogs supporter. I'd like to see a couple of things achieved this season. 1. Slow down opposition scoring, especially from a rebound. We seem to be able to control possession, and build pressure in our front half, but once a team can break through, it's out and they're highly likely to score. It's the most frustrating thing about being a dogs fan is seeing the ball in our forward half for 4 minutes, stoppage after stoppage, only for the opposition to be the team that scores, and more often than not, scores a small run. 2. Increase the consistency over the season. It's just not acceptable for us to be putting in a strong performance, or working our proverbial ass off to earn a tough win, only to follow it up with being blown out of the water the following week. I'd like to see runs of wins coming which are only broken by closely contested losses. 3. Build the confidence of our key position players on both end of the park. I really think Josh Bruce has tremendous potential, and Ryan Gardner the same. Both are hugely targetted by dogs fans for their output, but I think they can really be huge. They both read the play well, and the more they can develop, and the more they believe in their own ability, the better they can be. They're surrounded by great players in Naughton, Wood, Wallis, Keath, for example, and with players on the sideline like Schake and Ugle-Hagan to push them, I think they can really be the difference between an awesome Bulldogs side, and one that's mid-table. As a pass mark for the season, finishing top 6 for a home final, and winning it, is the bare minimum. Top 4 is a nice goal to have, but I don't know who from last years top 4 we would replace. Richmond, Geelong, Port and Brisbane are all looking ominously good again.
I've been trying to get into this sport for the last couple of weeks and this video helped me understand a lot about the state of teams so genuinely thanks for this wish there was more stuff like that on other sports lol
Loving the tifo style footy content. I spent last year living in Australia and have returned to Manchester a Freo fan (an unfortunate team to pick). Keep up the good work fellas 👏
It's weird how caden sounds a bit doubtful and concerned about how melbourne will go this season. You wouldn't think they'd go nearly undefeated so far ay
Re: Reflecting on the comment I made 4 Months Ago, the Swans have absolutely been impressing me this season, our youth have been playing incredibly well, very much veteran-like. Overall, I'm feeling certain about us becoming the Next potential Great Dynasty of the AFL in the 2020's with how things are going and how strong we've looked in our performances.
I’ve only just started watching these but I am loving the format of these vids. I’ve always loved how tifo football presented their analysis vids, looks like heaps of inspiration has come from them. Nevertheless, keep up the good work lads!!
As a crows fan, I just want to see us continue the way we did in the second half of last season. Obviously I’m writing this after we’ve beaten Geelong, but I don’t think we should be getting ahead of ourselves. I think that win, as good as we were, can be put down to Geelong not taking us seriously at all. But promising signs were shown by guys like Berry, Schoenberg, Rowe, Butts, etc. Not to mention, several of our former first round picks like McAsey, Jones and Fog weren’t playing and we didn’t have Crouch or Talia.
If the bombers don't win a final this year I will consider it a failed season, however the rundown from old mate is spot on its been ball usage and inside 50 delivery the issue at Essendon for years. However so long as the boys are doing there best and don't drop there heads ill still hang my head high and wear the red and black with pride.
i am a carlton supporter and i think that top 8 is a pass mark and another year or 2 and carlton might be out of their rebuild phase becoming one of the sides to be reckoned with in the next few years but we do dissapoint so we'll see how we start the season
Winning 3 in 4 is great and I would love to see another. However, I won’t be too bothered if we don’t win it this year, as I would like to see the likes of Brisbane or Port Adelaide win it.
I wanna see the dogs be more constant with their performances, hanging in the top 8 all season if possible. The last couple years having the scary "will they won't they make the 8" at the back end of the season has certainly been agonizing as a fan, especially since the team bounced back poorly since the unbelievable high of 2016
As a Swans fan, I'd like to see us win some matches. Our side is young but good, and the last couple of seasons we've been competitive in our games - most of our losses have been fairly narrow - but we need to be able to put the finishing touches on that win us games. If we can do this we'd be in finals contention. Also, a fit Buddy Franklin would be really good...
As a doggies supporter, I think anything less than a prelim will be disappointing. We have one of the best midfields in the comp, but where I see us always falling short are our entries into the forward 50 and our ability for our forward line to capitalise and kick straight. Need a huge season from Josh Bruce and Aaron Naughton. These blokes are key forwards and need to at least be kicking a bag between them every game 🐶🔴⚪️🔵
Port need to back up last year and make a prelim final and push for a grand final. No excuses this year I am giving Port A Failure in 2021 for being smashed in the Prelim
As a hawks supporter who lives in Geelong, i can say Geelong supporters are very flat this year. A weird season last year coupled with a grand final lost, the locals have lost some interest. I know a few die hard fans who normally be singing the welcoming of the footy season who are now just meh. I wonder if this will effect the cats?
At Gold Coast we need every player actually showing up to play and not just rely on a second year player in Rowell to carry them just like they expected with ablett. Also will brodie needs more of a opportunity, and we need to actually hit targets by foot instead of missing 15 metre easy passes. Ben King and Sam day as good as they are, are only as good as the delivery they get. No more excuses gold coast.
Lot of bias within these. Carlton, Fremantle, Sydney, Crows most accurate. Brisbane last year was consolidation, not a disappointment - top 5. WCE getting old now - make the 8. Pies no forward line still, why harbour lofty expectations - top 8 is a push. GWS mids made of glass, need someone like Hopper to step up - still have top 8 talent. Doggies have one of the more stacked teams in recent times, but my query is are there too many chiefs? - goal has to be top 4. My Bombers need to coordinate a swift rebuild, lot of young talent to develop and some mid 20's guns, but lack of forward presence and a shitty game plan hurts - write this yr off bottom 5. Saints to succeed means doing it by committee, I'll sooner date a supermodel than see the Saints have an A grader in the team - top 8 Hawks are cooked - rebuild and find a way to 'trade' your coach
Same not going to lie. Plenty to talk about and all that got brought up was we need to switch the play? We need to be stronger on the ball in the clearance, we need development, we need our swapped position players to do well, we need our young forwards to gel together and show positive signs, we need forward pressure, we need our defenders to stand up in the face of Hooker going forward, Hurley being gone beyond the sunset and Stewart being unable to catch a clean break, can't help but feel like there was a missed opportunity to talk about a couple things a bit more unique to us other than "don't bomb it on the shortest guy on the grounds head" (to which wasn't even really referenced) - still a great video though.
Essendon needs a ruthless culture, they need to hate losing, they need a coach who can inject this culture. In addition to this cycling people forward and back is good for what will be a write off season/ may as Well make the team more dynamic. The biggest goal is to win enough games to convince Zach Kerrey not to leave😂
so cool how you've set out this video, including creators like true footy, caden etc. Love seeing our community cooperate

as a bombers fan I can say we have achieved the goals from this video so far and im happy with the boys
I want to see the Lions improve their accuracy on goal and make the granny. Daniher is exactly the piece we needed so I'm hopeful.
How’d you go from saying the lions need to improve their accuracy to go on & say Daniher is exactly the piece we need 😂
