Love all the old bikes so cool to see, I want a set of those old race lines! That water skinny was awesome and damn Mark Westlake looks funny without his beard I didn't think it was him!
Love these show walk about vlogs . I used to go to the old Malvern show with my giant atx 990 with z1 bombers etc ( nearly the same as the old animal team bikes ) which I still have and I am nearly finished getting it going again properly ( did need to put some newer components on as couldn’t get original old )
You should do a segment on Dave Wrath-Sharman and Geoff Apps, the true originals of British offroad biking in the Eighties. You'll find many of their ideas being reprised in Rivendell and Jeff Jones bikes. BTW Geoff was a trials rider originally I believe.
The trick "pigeon" do u put a crank when your front wheel is on the object or just normal hop to back wheel? Either way i cant do it, any tips?
Just curious if you could do a magura brake check exactly how they work. Ive been looking at brakes and just hoping you could give a show and explain of the maguras. Be a great quick video.
Dude, I'm 36 and just getting into biking which feels old as hell, but this show is in my town I had no idea it existed, definitely have to go if it runs next year. Your vids have helped inspire this old boy to get out so thanks for that!
36 is young! There are race categories up to 60 plus. It's on this year at the end of August. I expect to see you on the DH start line, you will love it.
The gel armor is amazing recently the NHL started using it in their helmets put it over your hand put your hand on the table take a wrench and hit your hand where the gel armor is you will not feel a thing it's truly remarkable
Are you a fan of motorbike trials, Ali? After watching all of your and your friends videos, YT now started recommending that sport to me... but it's pretty cool. The riding skills are the same, but they have gears and a clutch as an extra challenge.
I only got rid of my 1989 Specialised Rockhopper a few years ago 😔 It was given to me as a company mountain bike when I lived in the Chiltern Hills leading groups and doing MTB trials. I did keep one of the original oval chainrings though ☺
That was awesome! I'm not into all that retro stuff (I've ridden a retro bike in my life enough to hate all of them till the end of my life), but all the dudes and modern technology was just amazing.
"jetwash your bike off, jetwash yourself off". Keep your jetwash away from my bike! Warm soapy water only and a soft brush, or else you'll be in for new bearings and seals regularly.
@@Ali_Clarkson I guess when you're sponsored it's less of a problem? A peasant like me (who even works as a bike mechanic) prefers to just take care of what he has.
Thanks for the interview buddy, great vid
I know I'm kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to watch new series online?

That Pace DH looks like a Specialized Enduro, sans carbon
The loads of rubber piled on each other were called elastomers :p
AKA "Elastic Polymer". Often they doubled as a damper, by pushing a rod through the middle and relying on any friction to slow them down.
Oh! BLISS is just like d30!!! Except BLISS has stuff made that I want! SWEET!
Im sure every bike you saw was the dream bike haha
Just curious if you could do a magura brake check exactly how they work. Ive been looking at brakes and just hoping you could give a show and explain of the maguras. Be a great quick video.
yes yeees i still got the forks from my pace i had that same pace frame the old disk breaks you know they have been around since the 1960s
Schwalbe = "shv-ull-beh" german for swallow (bird)
Ohhh man those old bikes are droolworthy. I want that PACE real bad. These old bikes really looked so much more flashy and interesting.
Appreciate the video but quite frustrating camera work with Starling Cycles. Why can't see see the magic?
You should try unicycle trials
Thirst !
Very interesting event, thanks, Ali!
Miyata was doing carbon way back & fully lugged cr mo triple splines frames
At 5:41 it looks like Specialized was doing 1x drivetrains back in the 90's lol

Nice video Ali! The sick bicycles bike is freaking crazy, and I really wonder how it would be to manual it down a hill!

That retro specialized looks so nice

JMC’s actual hardtail and full Sus are kept in the Specialised HQ IN London, they’re amazing 👍🏻
Yes. riding a lefty at first is weird but I'm used to it now! I love it!
Hi good to see all retro bikes, I have a few GT LTS, Giant ATX, Cannondale super v, etc, which is nice to have, but do not have room to build up
nothin at all nothin at all nothin at all nothin at all..... lmao
That was awesome! I'm not into all that retro stuff (I've ridden a retro bike in my life enough to hate all of them till the end of my life), but all the dudes and modern technology was just amazing.
Video off, Jeff lenosky old bike
Turn up on the Thursday night then !!!!! I was the guy on the red orange doing fake nose manuals well trying 😂😂😂
Those classic bikes were freaking rad! Don’t make them that cool anymore
Great vid Ali. Brave man sticking your fingers under his hammer! 😳
I owned a pace rc200 for a while. Was the wrong size for me, though.

lol, the solution for the downsides of tubeless is an inner tube 🙄
I thought the same thing. The latest word in tubeless is... tubes?
I would've gone but i was ill 😭😭😭😭
I'd take that pink camo bike any day :]
RheaAyase It's really sexy! Could become the inspiration of my hardtails new design 😀
