Rode it twice yesterday and oh my it’s incredible, that first drop is insane, the amount of airtime you get is mad, you’re just floating in mid air practically, and every element after that is just so intense, especially that outerbank turn section. My favourite ride ever!
How busy was the park when you went?
@@stephen129 It is really busy this week due to many school trips for the final week of school term in the UK.
@@stephen129 very busy, loads of school trips, rides were like 60-140min wait times until they started leaving, got better from around 3pm. Luckily I was with someone with a RAP pass. Few rides went down as well, 3 times in a row we queued and left the queue as rides shut. Didn’t get on Nemesis Inferno due to this. Lucky to get on Stealth as was down half the day. Still had a great day though, just can’t wait to go back when it’s quieter haha

Yeah, I always felt like Mack was one of the lower tier manufacturers but after riding some of their newer coasters they are my fourth favourite.

Absolutely love you two, your reactions are brilliant. I am so happy that there is a ride that makes seasoned rollercoaster fans from the US react like this in the UK. To have people that are used to riding US coasters being as speechless as i was on Hyperia makes me feel better about missing all the rides you have to offer stateside!

Yeah nutz whipped out seat and then stay out the whole way down only to be ejected out again on the imelman. Its beautiful.

Uhh try 4th. There is Flash in China, the Flash clone in Germany, DC Rivals down in Australia and now Hyperia at Thorpe Park. If you were to count those out, that would be 4, not 2. Apparently you cant math.

@alecday3775 If you read my comment correctly than you would see that I said "THEIR 2nd Mack Hyper". I wasn't saying the 2nd Mack Hyper or listing Mack Hypers, I was saying this was the 2nd one they have been on. Also there is no Flash clone in Germany, the only 2 of those are in China and Turkey.
@@yeetus6490 Flash at Lewa Adventure, it had the tallest inversion at the time when it opened, a 177 foot tall vertical loop.

I am a self-taught reader and I can make the odd mistake here and there sometimes, I overlooked the "their" part so instinctively, it led to me thinking that you were saying there were only 2 Mack hypers in the world when there is actually 4 in total, 3 unique layouts and one is a clone of another. Between the first drop and the outer bank that rolls over into an inversion are my 2 favourite elements its hard to pick. It's an awesome ride so fun!😂

Granted I've never been on every coaster in the world. Far from it. But there is nothing in the world quite like this ride. Which makes it one of the best in the world. It's a masterpiece. Bravo thorpe 👏👏
I've never before thought i was going to genuinely DIE on a rollercoaster except on the back row of Hyperia and the back row of Colorado Adventure 😂😂😂

This coaster looks insane. That outerbanked turn is incredible. Just wish it was a bit longer. Needs another 1k feet of track with 2 to 3 more elements. What it does have appears to pack a major punch. Glad you guys got to ride it.

Even though I'm only 30 mins away, I'm waiting until Sept to visit as it'll be waaaaaay quieter
I was gonna go the week after half term when it opened, but it obviously had to be repaired. I thought I might've missed the chance but we went as soon as it reopened and only queued 50 minutes and 70 minutes. We found out there was 150 schools there that day so it might've already been too late 🤣 I'm marathoning it the second the schools go back

This is my kind of ride. Huge, fast soaring elements. I will probably never ride this but hoping Mack builds some similar layouts in some US parks.
The drop looks great but it makes me think of the spiraling vertical drops on Top Thrill and Kingda Ka. That outer bank/dive loop thing and the stall look like the real standouts on this ride. Insane elements.
Glad you liked Hyperia. It delivers a world class coaster experience in every row, but it's definitely stronger towards the front. It was about time we had a truly decent coaster for the world stage here in the UK. :)

When I remember it right ... the Designer of TRTH said in an Interview with Taylor & Sarah that they thought TRTH Was the limit what the human body could handle ... but after ... they have a lot of headroom to work with

Great coaster. One of my favorites after Voltron Nevera and the Ride to Happiness.

Mack Rides really is on Intamin Level at the moment
It also looks like Mack fixed the bugs on Voltron quicker than intamin did on Hagrids ... wich both share a lot of similarities regarding technical complexity
They scare me. The last company that was that fearless was Arrow, and it destroyed them. (X)

I've done both and I slightly prefer hyperia. However hyperia is over 29 hrs travel time for me whereas DC rivals is only 4 hours travel time 😂

I have an update on formula Rossa! Yesterday I saw lots of the fence was brought out. There were foundation trucks (the ones with the massive poles that put in foundations for buildings) and the was also a massive gate in the fence, and at 1am as I was driving by I saw a ton of trucks going into the coaster area

It’s great to see unique elements on the newer coasters. Just wish it had a second section with a few more elements once you come down from the stall.
I do like that it has constant momentum, and doesn’t start and stop, forward and back like some newer launch rides.
What a beautiful Mack Produkt, can’t wait to see if you prefer it to Voltron or not

@@TinTravel7 I was expecting the outer bank to be the highlight but surprisingly that's the weakest part of the ride. The First Drop and the 0g stall are both world class.

I am honestly so glad that Mack is doing more thrill coasters. They are really good at it.
I was supposed to ride this next Wednesday but unfortunately had to get a small emergency surgery on an infection on my knee today so my trip to London is cancelled, I guess this reaction video will have to suffice as far as my onride experience on this goes.

One of the greatest first halves of a coaster I've done
Great coaster, especially in the back row!
I'm not gonna lie, I went to Thorpe Park yesterday and went on Hyperia and it wasn't what I expected. The queue time said 45 minutes when we got in the queue, but it ended up being nearly *2 HOURS* as it malfunctioned or something and that took like 30 minutes to fix. Not sure exactly what happened though. It was also baking hot in the Sun (that a lot of the queue is in) so that wasn't fun. On the ride, you can really feel your stomach go in the first drop which I didn't expect as when I was on Stealth earlier that day (which has a drop similar to Hyperia), I didn't feel the drop at all. Now at the bottom of the first big drop, you can really feel the G's, which ruined it for me. Don't get me wrong, I love rollercoasters and some G's but it all felt too much. The rest of the ride was all right at best as it was honestly quite rough and my head (and others') banged around quite a bit. That didn't help my headache that I already had from the painful queue wait. If you're thinking about going to Thorpe Park and Hyperia, I really wouldn't recommend waiting any more than 30-45 minutes in the queue to go on it as it isn't worth the wait. It's something that you go no once then not really ever again. This comment isn't me whining about the horrible experience; the day(s) as a whole were fun, etc. but I'm just trying to give my personal (fresh) experience of Hyperia. That said, just because I didn't love it, doesn't mean you won't so go ahead and ride it, you might love it!
