Can't underemphasize the hardware. No good editing on a machine that can't handle the load. Usually, a standard PC or laptop won't cut it. Learned that the hard way back in the mid 2000s. Thanks for the vid Tyler!

The problem is I'm not good at fishing, so would I need to repeat myself over and over until I catch something? Or is it possible to film the fishing and put a separate audio over it without it sounding so obvious?

Hey Tyler, I saw this in another video of yours, and this is a REALLY STUPID QUESTION , but.... how did you connect your lavalier mic transmitter to your gopro without breaking the little door? I'm an educated man... but I just can't see the correct way to do it

Awesome video man, I am new to this editing world and I have started to film my own hunts, I just am in the market for a decent laptop, I obviously want a MacBook Pro, or Mac desktop version, something with 512gb and atleast 16gb of RAM, I am wondering what I could maybe start with... like something for around $600-$700... or should I just save up a few extra hundred bucks and buy a refurbished MacBook??
@@TylersReelFishing ok, I figured most experts would say that.. well let’s say I don’t realy know how to build my own PC.. as well as maybe the portability factor of a laptop, I have children so it’s difficult to not be on the go, but I would love to know if you had any thoughts on a refurbished MacBook, or maybe a brand that is something a little mid grade.. not cheap, just inexpensive lol.. I know thats an oxymoron when talking about computers, cameras, and editing equipment, but very knowledgeable videos! I am always on UA-cam and I love to fish I just never saw your channel but I hit the subscribe so I’ll see your updates!

Correct, you can piece together whatever you want. You don’t have to get it all in one take

You have to buy a separate door, either made by GoPro or 3rd party. Or, just wear a wired lav to a recorder like a Tascam DR10L

Do you have any trouble with processing speed while you are editing your project file off of the external?
It’s slower for sure from external, so most of the time, if I can, I’ll transfer all the stuff I’m working on to the on board SSD
