I really hope someone sees your channel who would want to produce a full, big-screen documentary with you. I think I've said this before but I'll say it again. Cecelia's videos are consistently outstanding. The storytelling, videography, music, editing and narration are really exceptional beyond this platform. What could be mundane and finite in content is transformed into engaging short-form stories with the qualities I mentioned previously, of fully cinematic caliber. Huge fan from the first day I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Cecelia's channel.

      I agree. She’s fascinating.
Her content is authentic and compelling and I think the social media play will yield the most success. She’s putting in the work, it will payoff for her and her Svalbard family.

Closest proper shop 16 kms away. Loved it beyond words. No bus service, I have no car for the last 5 years ,only a bicycle. Loved each day ,

Being from northern Norway myself, above the polar circle, but certainly not as extreme as Svalbard, I know these places can be good, but you need a purpose for being there, a job, family, good friends, hobbies etc. something, like if you love snowmobiling ... Living alone with not much to do during the long cold and dark winters, most people will be much better off other places.

Not small town, where you have to have been born there, but moors and forests and avalanches of snow. Or my dangerous, broken inner city. Urbex or barren wilderness. Wolves or guns. I love people, I love experience, I love rugged beauty.

Really nice to see people hanging out at such a remote place. In military, I was at 69 degree north, one of the northernmost military bases there is. Longyearbyen is way north of that, located at 78 degree north.
After a very cold winter with lots of nights outdoor, two guys in my platoon wanted me to join them on a one week ski trip on Svalbard. I declined, finally we had week off after a really cold winter. My buddies went, I think my warm days in Oslo was better at the time, but yeah, in retrospect I should gone to Svalbard, but having one more week sleeping outdoor in Arctic winter was not easy to do.
Far more pleasant staying at a cabin, than sleeping in a tent with polar bears lurking around. BTW, there are more polar bears than people on Svalbard.

I live in Alaska - it's not quite as remote as this, but my biggest reason for selling everything and moving here is privacy, solitude, colder climate, natural beauty.
I had to be close to civilization for work..
But, the long term goal is to buy remote land further north - build an offgrid home, and work only 6 months out of the year.
Living in the slow lane is something that's hard to explain. But i feel it's the way humans were meant to live when you're in the thick of it.

I live in a tropical country, so seeing the northern lights has been on my bucket list for the longest time. I’ve had an eye on going to Svalbard because of that, since most other options would require a tedious process to get a visa, with no guarantee that it won’t just be denied. Thanks for showing me that there’s so much more to the place than that. Gives me more motivation to get there someday.

It's a fascinating story of Northern life. Furthest North I've lived is inland 60th parallel. That was my Canadian duty!
I think we lived there during record cold winters. Bugs, monster horseflies and mosquitoes in summer!
The next was West Coastal 54th parallel, Ton's of snow, lots of bugs in summer. Abd lots of rainy days.
I'm a warm weather person. The fortitude of people in the North is exemplary.
