Just got my first Citizen watch, an F150 satellite watch. Amazing technology. And now I’ve discovered these citizen 1s and the new 0100 movement, accuracy of 1 second per year, coming out soon.
They are just crushing it with all these tech breakthroughs. I’ll never think of the company the same way again.
This is very good. I've been a long time Seiko fan (25+ years) and I always though of Citizen as sort of a lower grade watch than Seiko. Something between Seiko and Casio. But now, I can see Citizen has some amazing technological achievements and great aesthetic designs. Seiko and Citizen are now my two favorite watch brands.
To be honest, I believe the parts in the two watches are interchangeable. They're both Japanese quartz.
Seiko, Citizen and Casio represent some of the very best of horology and watchmaking. Big 3 Japanese watchmakers
Citizen are actually higher grade than Seiko.
This is a masterpiece of time piece engineering I thin you not.

It's remarkable that folks are irritated at the narration.....which by the way is spoken technically correct but with obvious over-tones that it is not her native language. What's the problem with this? It even has subtitles to help along. It's a Japanese company using an English-speaking Japanese person. I see the same with (for example) German products with a heavily German accented gent speaking of his company's products...or obviously British-accented people speaking about English products. I guess the take-away is that if one hears "British".... it is supposed to convey "Class". Whatever. The point here is that most comments here point to this mild irritation and say almost nothing of the technical achievements and prowess of the company embarking on a journey of technical excellence and pushing known limits in watchmaking..... missing this point entirely.

There is a demand for thinner dress watches. The perfect dress watches are often thought of as being thin so this is just taking it to another level. Look up thin mechanical watches and you’ll realize who is in the market for thin watches. This is a solar quartz movement which allows it to be much thinner than the thinnest mechanical watches.
