- It's an amazing experience speaking to the Harley Davidson sceptics. Often it's immediately obvious that they have fallen for a very human trap and can't see clearly. Let's discuss this and figure out how to avoid the same trap that has blinded them.
Includes a radical mod that I was forced to do to my Street Glide Special in order to differentiate it from all the other "black street glides"
Includes great music and the winner of the Resurgence Gear $1000 motorcycle clothing giveaway.
Old Not Dead viewers are eligible for a 10% discount on all motorcycle clothing at Resurgence Gear. Code = "OldNotDead"

“How the bike makes you feel…” I think that’s 99% of it. ❤
That is probably the greatest answer I have ever heard
Gr8 stuff!
"Ya don't really wanna be excluded from the possibilities of LIFE"
-Not Dead 👍🏼
Lol thanks
My HD has literally saved me from myself. My mental health is worth every penny I spend on that monthly payment. I now socialize, I don’t sit at home when I’m not at work. I’m not dying inside.
I've had many great bikes over the years and loved them. But riding my Harley is a totally different experience that stirs my soul in a way other makes don't. I can't explain why. If sceptics opened their minds and took a test ride on a Harley they might have a different perspective.
Thank you
I’ve had everything from Yamahas, Kawasakis, Suzukis etc. Once I just happened to get a 2010 Dyna Wide Glide I fell in love and I’ve been a Harley guy ever since. Many many riders who have Harleys now have had the rest. There is no cruiser like the original. The others are the copycats. Also the fit and finish are second to none ! Love your channel. Keep up the great work ! Regards from Alberta Canada.
Thank you
Another great video! Yes, we ride Harleys because of the look, sound, history, and fellowship. All souls are unique but yearn for belonging. The challenge in life is not walking around with a chip on your shoulder while looking down your nose at others for the choices they made. We all have our own journey but sharing parts of it on a Harley make it that much better.
Well said!
Just a question. No disrespect, but what's with the Aussie riders favoring a 3/4 helmet vs half or full face ? We have 2 friends from over there that come to the U.S. and rent bikes to ride with us but I have never thought to ask them.
@@user-ek6sb2bo3o I'm not sure? Half helmets don't fit my head shape well. I sometimes wear a full face (usually winter) If you watch the last video i did, riding with a HOG chapter - they all wore full face I was the only one (i think) of 50 odd people in an open face.
@@OldNotDead-Club Yes just watched that video yesterday Feb 11 2024. However, most of your other videos I have watched just seems that a 3/4 helmet was more popular. Thanks for the reply. Keep your knees in the breeze and the rubber side down.
If you like what you ride, that's all that matters.
True
I didn’t know I was in so many clubs. I too, like riding my Harley because of the way it makes me feel.
lol, thanks
It's winter in Ohio (USA). The last day I got to ride was Christmas afternoon! My Harley Sportster 883 was the only thing on the road! Luckily I was wearing my facemask. That way no one could see the goofy grin on my face! I was realizing that I was 'Old Not Dead'!
Lol way to go!
I can Relate.
Well done Kevin. Good to c new riders . Another great vlog. I can relate to having that feeling. If I feel a bit off that day I'll ride a bit slower or not ride at all. Orso I've had heaps of ghost experiences. They can be quite interesting. Keep up the good work ayman.
Always an inspiration. I like how you bring up these “controversial “ subjects. Fits me like a hand in a glove. Awesome
Thanks for watching!
Awesome Aymen, another great vid. I'm Brian Wash haha. Seriously really enjoyed the whole clip. Totally agree with all you are saying / teaching.

A huge Congrats Kevin, enjoy the Resurgence Gear. Love the gears gone to a new rider. Enjoy!
Thanks for watching Aaron
Great video Aymen, you are totally switched on, keep spreading the good word!!
Thank you! Will do!
Great video content and thought provoking in a very positive way. Well done to Kevin! I'll pop into his shop when I next visit my sister. Go Harley, you good thing.
Thanks, appreciated
Great video Aymen! You have just fleshed out what I was thinking about today. What is truth? Do we have free will? Are we just tools being manipulated? Everything in perspective and with some mental gymnastics we can convince ourselves of anything. This is the winter of introspection. The springtime is when we blossom. The summer when we grow. The autumn when we enjoy the fruits of our labor. Keep your positivity brother!
Thank you
Chillin on a Harley is a form of meditation in and of itself. Just laugh inside when you hear those comments and enjoy your ride. Life's too short to diss what other people do.
Awesome vid mate, I believe everyone should ride what they want and not worry about what others say. We aren’t here for long so no point doing what others want us to do…… what a great prize to win for a new rider, that’s a positive impact on him for sure….
Thanks
Stumbled on the channel yesterday man, loving the content. Great to see aussie riders around.
Welcome aboard!
Love your work Ayman
Thank you
Congratulations Kevin. So happy the prize has gone to yourself. The smile on your face makes it so worth while. Thanks for recommending Resurgence before hand as well. Will have to check out your store next time I see Allwest Motorcycles. I see you are right next door. Will pop in & have a chat.
Aymen wow what a great vid. Yes I must admit I always think everything will be alright & as you in my darkest hours when I have to bring myself back to everything will be alright, it will be 🙂

Well done Kevin, welcome to the community of riding you’ll never look back 😊👍
Thank you for being at my daughters side when she locked herself out of her van this week sir. You helped her calm down and think straight (Young Amy an English lady in Australia) And I got a great upgrade too when she sent me a link to your site. Love the vids, advice and work put in. I'm 57, Male, in York UK and love my Harley Iron 883 (modified to 1275) and really appreciate the videos and advice Sir
Wow what a small world. Hope Amy enjoys the rest of stay
Oooh that sounds a tasty mod! Yorkshire is a great place for riding too.👍🇬🇧
Good quality info & insight. Subscribed.
Thanks and welcome
Same thing happens with sports cars, people get fixated on HP and Torque, but unless they are going to a track, none of it matters. Good video mate, keep riding. 👍
Great point, thank you

and a lot more where that came from, so true. I started out thinking of riding the Yamaha R1, started on a Suzuki GSX-R 700 '78, hopped over to a chopped up Yamaha Virago '87 and fullfilled my dream to ride a 2017 103 Fat Bob, no other feeling like it. Just the other day I was thinking this: "I know that I'm not supposed to die yet and everything is going to be OK, so why wouldn't I, for instance, stand in an open field in a lightning storm? The answer is simple... because based on my belief I would survive, BUT... no one wants to be hit by lightning because of the bad feeling it gives you and the recovery time! In other words, you always have to deal with the consequences of your 'bad choices' same as riding, mere risk assessment "is it worth it?". No need to worry, no need to act like an idiot. Ride safe, ride hard and enjoy this unique feeling.
Good interview with the prize e winner shop owner! Cool coffee mug,
Glad you enjoyed it

...and I've never been waved at by so many little kids as I have been on the Harley. Closest I will ever get to being a star! :)
Lol , yeah that happens a lot!
Points well made. As you say bigger than just the view on Harleys.
Thanks
I say open your 👀 people. The club to be in is 👀 club 😂

Lucky enough to have a few bikes. Each one gives me a different feeling, and I love each one. Like a favourite child, the one you’re looking at. But the Harley is a bit special, more relaxing, I don’t feel I need to ride fast. When I think of riding to my happy places it is on the Harley. It’s perfect for rolling through the outback.
Fair enough!

Congratulations Kevin.... Great outlook... Great giveaway.. enjoyed the video... Thanks for sharing... Safe travels.. God Bless...
I ride with 6 other machines normally, all Harley. I'm on my 2006 Stratoliner or 2018 Venture typically. Talk about getting ganged up on...😄. Both of my machines are stock not one of the Harleys are. They love to ask me if my bike is running, yeah they are quiet. I just tell them if they want to hear and smell my exhaust, we can do a top gear 40-80 mph roll on up a nice 6% grade.
No takers yet.
I love a nice sleeper sounding machine.
👍💯 Good video.
Owned 2 Harleys many smiles on both of them.
Have you ever owned a Harley... Great answer.... Truly enjoyed....
Lol, thank you

Thank you that's appreciated
@OldNotDead-Club your very welcome thankyou for making the great content learning lots from all your videos.
"You are not your beliefs" this is ancient Greek wisdom that most people cannot comprehend, the path to awareness and ascending is to understand the human condition and why 93% of people don't have a sixth sense anymore, this and believing in something greater than yourself is a good start for anyone wanting to think beyond the social construct we've all existed in.
Thanks great comment
Great video. You are a wise man 👍
Thank you, appreciated
Every Harley is an individual.
They mature into something that can't be made new.
25 year old TC 88 FXDL with 25k miles. It's my third Harley since 1988.
The Harley outside the therapists office belongs to the therapist.
It’s their loss. I feel a certain happiness when riding my Harley that nothing else gives me. I don’t feel the same on other bikes. Like I said they are just missing out.
Thanks for watchingbwell said!

Amazing video "Awesome Amen" Sometimes my mind hurts when you go so deep. Again, I love the teaching methods and thought provoking statements. Bye for now, leaving the social media club now and back to the hard ass biker mentality.
Thank you
I had a Honda in 2 Yamaha's and I loved them all. They all started up and ran great. But I found myself making excuses every time. I pulled up to my friends for why I was on it. Now I've got an ultra glide. And I feel like a real man LO. L
Lol, that made me laugh, thank you
I think that's what it's all about. It's about masculinity. When I use to work in a Harley dealership, some of our best customers where gays that were into BDSM. They loved the Harley leather and chains look.
Now your a man?
So who’s man are you?
We’re you not a man before succumbing to peer pressure? Did you grow a goatee too?
WAYYYYBACK WHEN i WAS ON A jAPANESE BIKE RUNNING 7000 RPMs to keep up with my buddies HD. He laughed when I told him I was at 7000 rpms and replied , he was turning 2000 rpms. That woke me up
Yep torque makes a huge difference to the experience of riding
you tha Man , well said 👍👍👍👍🇦🇺

I rode triumph first, for 15 years. I’ve been on Harley last 5. I own a 21 street glide special and a 22 fatboy. I only wish I’d been riding Harley sooner. Love these bikes. I enjoy riding them much more than I enjoyed the triumphs.
Only owned 2 Harleys and still got them a1997 Evo Heritage Vicla i put 55,000ks on it never had a problem had it 11yrs. i allso got a 2021 Harley Ultra stage 2+ done 29,000ks never a problem, my bikes are my Antidepressant 😊
Thanks for watching
Road King and a BMW GSA…. I’m in a couple of clubs and love both of em!

Big thumbs up for the channel...
Thank you
I read Easyrider magazine as a youth , and it was so formative.
One article about how the rhythm of the engine was in tune with the human heart and how it encouraged a certain spiritual mindset was beyond my teenage brain ( though l did understand the naked girl on motorcycle bit 😂) and l flipped past . Thirty years later, after searching for a spiritual path l find its in alignment with the article.
Maybe God really does ride a Harley 🤷
As for supernatural experiences, l experienced leaving my body when l saw the price of the 120 year anniversary model Harley!
Lol thanks for watching
“It’s weird. They’re weird.” That says about all of it in a convenient two nut nutshell. I rode them all, still have an old Yamaha, still like it. I love the Harleys that sit calmly next to that little lady like big brothers looking out for their baby sister. Ride on with that Harley grin over your chin, Brother. And, YEP, I have had supernatural experiences and it doesn’t matter if anyone else believes it or not. I do. In fact, I know it.
Thank you
Great video. Greetings from Germany
Thank you very much!
Enjoyed your perspective as always! I will say tho, that your explanations for why non Harley folks don’t like Harley riders is….in my opinion and experience, not quite…..right! IMO 😮😅 I’ve observed that generally someone doesn’t dislike a certain group for the positives of that particular group, but for the negatives. What ARE the negatives of Harley riders?! Just normal human stuff! I’m certainly not going to be leaving hateful comments in the comments section of your own video! Ill let you figure it out,if you want. I like you, man! 👍
Thanks you are right, many different perspectives. Try my other video "why people hate harley riders"
Thanks for the video I am in that Old not dead club in 3 days that Retired club! Been riding Harleys for a long time I have seen what I am sure was a UFO late one night. The thing is if you have not been on a Harley you don’t know that’s not saying there aren’t other brands but the family of people that are Harley people is different than anything else as a group to me. We all need something to ground us people will always be hating on Harley and that’s ok we can take it and they will be leaving someone else alone. Keep the rubber on the down side
Wise words thank you
Farrrrrrken genius Ayman open your mind people
Thanks
My two (so far) supernatural experiences have been: a) I was 8 years old and I saw my first Harley, and: b) I was 40 years old and I rode my first Harley 🙂

The last supernatural experience on my 1,352 cc Kawasaki was passing a cop on purpose at 140 mph, then accelerating away to 180 or so, feeling freedom from authority as time slowed, heart rate and exhilaration sped, and lights gradually disappeared in my rear view mirror. Not possible on most Harleys, is it?
Lol and the point is?

Just remember the old saying: there are old bikers and bold bikers...but no old bold bikers.😊
@sportyonetaubert5923 I'll be 71 this year, put on over 22,000 miles over the last 2 years, and think speeding sounds more dangerous than it is if one stays within one's limits. Don't think speeding automatically constitutes "bold."

I must be in a real exclusive club ..... I took the Vance and Hines Short Shots off of my Harley and now run the standard exhaust!
Kevin, I just know that I prefer the sound and feel of a Harley engine that is matched to torque to the whining sound of over-reving. I also appreciate the instant response of torque that goes along with that. As for more frequent breakdowns, we know that Harley cruisers are designed for long range distance riding, and I haven't found that argument to be true. What I did find out the hard way is that some extremely competent rocket bike riders don't teach Harley throttle and clutch handling properly. This happened to me, and my practicing tlwha5 they taught me cost me a new set of clutch plates on a Sportster that I previously owned. I spoke with a crusty Harley rider who explained the problem, and I haven't had an issue since.
Motorcycle design is principally about functional purposes, not fashion.
After a few decades of experience, the riders that haven't given up riding or died inevitably choose a different reason and way of riding. This conclusion is not just about motorcycles. It's about the nature of living a long, enjoyable life. True lifelong motorcyclists come to understand this fairly early, and the rest become casualties along the road.
Hey mate can you please explain what sort of clutch handling caused the problem with your clutch? I’m about to start riding my first Harley (end of September) a stage 4 low rider, coming from an xr650r and don’t want to fck up my new bike, cheers man!

I ride a Harley wide glide and once I called a motorcycle shop and asked if they could mount a new front tire for me, The OWNER of the shop said sure bring it on in BUT when he asked what bike I had he said "NOPE I don't do anything on Harley Davidson, you Harley riders are so picky that if we put a scratch on the wheel you'll want me to buy you a whole new one, so take it somewhere else" and hung up the phone on me. Is that discrimination or what?
Lol, I have heard of this type of thing before
Damn A, you make me want to move to Australia 🇦🇺… 😆 Seems like a nice place…
Come and have a look
You should do a video on the clowns that follow motorcycles to close, I’ve often thought about taking up chewing tobacco and when someone follows me to close spit it onto their windshield, lol
The shorts on Harleys is a huge club. Shorts on any bike is too many to count... just massive.
I have a Harley, Indian, Suzuki, and kawasaki, but I am a Neanderthal with no belief system or club 😊
Lol thanks
I’ve been riding for around 20 years now. I’ve owned a LOT of bikes. Most of which were Japanese. I’ll admit. I was the same way until I rode an old Panhead chopper. That bike changed me. I spent eight hours on that thing just grinning like a fool. None of my Japanese bikes ever did that. I still have, and love a Vstrom, but my RoadKing is my baby. When I need to reset, and clear my head. Nothing does the trick like my Harley.
Possibly one of the issues with the theory of Harley’s breaking down could be HD themselves. Like the way some dealers deal with their customers. Then it becomes a story then a reality. I was once told that a Harley are like a canvas and you paint too what you want and enjoy. Other than that I enjoy my street glide and the way I have set it up for myself. Cheers
Thanks
And long tire wear...and practicality, like bags to take things...and ability to add all kinds of doodads...and simplicity, if one can change oil and an airfilter, they can probably maintain their newer HD for life...and the ability to carry a passenger comfortably...and a dealership network that is large enough that if your drivebelt snaps, you'll probably be able to get it towed to one, have it changed and be on your way...and a HOG membership that offers towing service...and a HOG membership that offers one a riding club to pal around with if one is so inclined...and regular dealership activities/parties.
But yeah kids, it's all about peak power figures...
You ride what you can afford if you're on two wheels you are part of the brotherhood I have ride all brands Ducati BMW Kawasaki Honda Yamaha and now I'm riding my third Harley they all have their good points ride what you enjoy and be positive to all riders Mango
Well said, thanks Mango
Interesting, I ride a Harley that makes me feel good, and I love riding it because it doesn't feel like I'm riding a Harley, it doesn't even look like a Harley and it certainly doesn't feel tractor-like and I know when I rock up to a Harley group ride, there are a lot of Harley riders that would prefer I wasn't riding with them - at least that's my perception and how I feel (because I'm on a PAm). I love everything about the Pan America (except the windscreen system) because it is smooth, has the performance, great suspension and handling straight out of the box without having to spend any more of my hard earned dollars to fix what Harley is charging a premium price for but is not premium - and at the end of a long day's ride, the great suspension and smooth ride and upright riding position, my body is all the better for it. I also have an M8 LR with a Stage 3 (114) and let me tell you, after riding the Pan America and getting on the M8, the LR feels and is primative and tractor-like. And why wouldn't you bag arrogant Harley riders - you know, the ones the make comments like, "why don't you ride a real bike?" to Jappa riders. And then there's the same ding bats that would burn a Jappa at the Bathurst bike racers.
Dam good video mate.
Much appreciated
The test of the machine is how it makes you feel. There is no other test.

Great video!! I believe some haters probably never rode a harley, or know anything about them. Harley people are off. I received way more crap from Harley folks for riding a Sportster than I did My CBR. No one told me it was a "girls" bike. I thought it was a badass bike, but it was not good for long distances. " Visceral" is a great description. My problem is with their prices and dealerships. Harleys are by far the best looking bikes. On its own my Kawasaki is a good looking bike. Park it at a rallye amongst the Harleys, it is a turd in a punch bowl.

While I agree with what you said, almost 100% I don’t believe Harley exclusively gives all these nice sensations/ feelings. I like Harleys & have ridden many extensively but actually these days prefer the Indian products more although the new CVOs are very nice.
Harley Davidson is the King of Kool in a motor machine and the sound rivals that of Beethovan but in your case ,,,AC DC,,and when you get on it you can feel the energy and you become one with the bike.no other bike can do that.
Totally agree about becoming one with the bike. I noticed that on my first trip on my Sportster. After a while the vibration and sound made me feel like I had melted into the bike and was just one with it! I have had several experiences since that I would describe as spiritual. I believe it's like the Harley add use to say "Harley Davidson...more than a machine"
😊
