Hello from the US! Been riding for going on 40 years.....I think a biker is someone who just loves to ride and loves motorcycles no mater what they ride. But I do get kick out of some of those people that go out and buy a new Harley, have the shop customize it, get all the leather, a brain bucket, and cool looking goggles, grow a beard and spend oodles of $ on tats and spend more time polishing their bike than riding it and call themselves bikers. When people look at my Harley and say " man you should wash that thing" I tell them a dirty bike is a happy bike.
A lot of younger riders don't realize that originally Australian bikers wore denim because it was common and cheaper than leather, this includes early MC's, the later addition of abrasion resistance materials is a bonus as it only has to do its job once to avoid hospital, I like the Resurgence denim gear for tradition.
Great work Aymen. Clip / editing worked well. Loved the detailed info that's gone into the vid on safety gear & ratings. So many people don't realise there are very very weak protective motorcycling clothing brands here, as there isn't any enforced laws yet on what can be sold in stores. Some brands have no abrasion protection & only very cheap knee / hip pads. So customers certainly need to be aware of what they are buying. So this clip will certainly help in the education, well done!
I got a good laugh from one of your videos about using your sportbike leathers on your Harley because I was thinking of doing the same. And also ordering the wrong equipment for your bike that ends up making it look funny. Good advice. Using my typical sportbike mentality, I was thinking about function instead of form. Now I'm on the right track. Thanks! Also, I saw the Mad Max movie when it came out and I was thinking Holy Hell, I need that bike! That got me off dirt bikes and onto road bikes. In fact, a few years ago I converted a BMW K1200s into an MFP Interceptor. A collector came and purchased it from me last year in Texas.
Hi Aman, I enjoy your videos and your perspective on things..As for Resurgence gear I like the Ultra Lite SL shirt amongst other stuff. Also, interesting that this video released 2 days ago in January 2024 offers a 10% discount for July 2023. At 13 mins 45 secs. Lol. Keep on rollin safe. Cheers
I love wearing proper gear to ride. Suiting up is what puts me in the right mind set to get on the bike and know I've done as much as I can to help save my skin (that and riding with your head on a swivel!) I do find we have less choice as women riders in protective clothes (come on, Resurgence! You only have jeans for women!!) I do like their black hoodie as it's something I could still wear on my none Harley bike ;) I lost a glove while out before Christmas (hint, hint). Another great video, Aymen.
Any motorcycle, I have had Victory, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, and I never distinguished myself as anything other than a biker. Love your content, bro. Keep it up. You're welcome to come ride with us any time.
To understand the relationship between cycle and rider, to enjoy all your motorcycle has to offer safely, reliably and alive to continue doing so. To take time to meet and greet other riders, to have fun
The Resurance Sherpa Jacket looks amazing. It looks comfortable to ride in. The mens warrior pl STRAIGHT : BLUE / BLACK jeans look comfortable to ride in and gives you room without binding up on you.
Thanks for doing this video on safety gear, I'll be looking into the Resurgence gear. I really enjoy you videos as they are not only entertaining but informative!
Great vid as per always. Yip certainly wear / love Resurgence Gear 🙂Ok ok I might a little bias haha. My favourite is Vintage Jeans & the Olive Rocker jacket. They fit me well. Love the Warrior Black Jeans or my Single Layer Indigo Slim Resurgence Jeans in the heat of summer.
I have owned more motorcycles than I care to remember, I own multiple at any given time. I don't care what people wear when they ride. So long as they do. I Always happy to have a yarn and a roll with anybody who is passionate and excited about them as I am. 👊
Always good to repeat a video when it is about safety indeed. In Europe there is no law that you have to wear the CE clothing, but new clothing sold must conform to the CE-norms. Some countries though have laws that you have to wear gloves, jacket and boots, but not necessarily CE. Helmets of course are the law, and I just read yesterday that Spain will even forbid open helmets, so only full face or modular helmets are allowed.
Love your videos. I like the triple A gear you featured. As a rider in hot conditions I wear long sleeve gear to protect myself from sun burn. It's alot easier to wear gear for protection in the colder months.
Recently purchased the 'Warrior' Resergence Gear jeans, brilliant! I have been shopping around for a while as my Draggin jeans were way too heavy, these Redergence jeans feel like normal denim, with stretch and a really good price too, stoked!
I tend to wear safety gear much prefer my skin on my body rather than the road if I should happen to have the time where my bike lays down for a rest while I’m on it !
Great Video and very helpful and now I understand the importance to do your homework on the form and function on gear Looking to pick up a SG or RG in the coming months and I’ll make sure I’ll be buying a pair of Resurgence Heritage Jeans as they are AAA rated! Aymen keep up the great work! Legend 👊🏻
American here. Ride want you want. Personally, I now have an Indian Scout. I primarily wear 20oz raw canvas from First Manufacturing. Great stuff! But be aware you should size up. Follow care instructions.
I have a variety of Riding Pants, but when you mentioned that the Resurgence Riding Pants were comfy I bought a Pair of the Blue Riding Pants with the CE armor. They have become my go to pants whenever I am out on the new Harley Fast Johnnie… Thanks for the tip.
I love the Resurgance Sherpa jacket. The jeans are great too. I have got gear that I have for years but when I can afford them I will have to look again 😊 Safe rides 👍🤜
Great video, awesome content. Really enjoy your videos and overall perspective on riding. My favourite gear that you discussed are the Resurgence Gear Jacket and jeans that you were wearing. Keep up the great content.
You should try a perforated summer jacket. They flow as much air as a tee shirt and you get the benefits of padding for your knotty bits. They also prevent sunburn/windburn and all the fun consequences of that, like skin cancer.
The summer here on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, some days its hard to wear a jacket when too hot, but always wear a leather vest when no jacket. Always wear the riding jeans and riding shoes... Love to get some of the Resurgence Jeans they have on their website, also some good gloves
Love the resurgence sherpa jacket that you often wear with the lambswool collar Amon. Looks mint! Not the jacket for the QLD climate though unfortunately, but I reckon those gloves would work up here.😅
Wind therapy feels good , and doesn’t matter what you ride and the Mileage doesn’t matter as well, jeans long sleeve, helmet, glasses is how I do it in Arizona USA, dress for the slide not the ride . From Arizona ✌🏼
That question, what is a real biker, has been beat into the ground. Idc what anybodies definition of a real biker is. Ride a motorcycle, if it feels good you're a biker.
Have evolved from the basic leather jacket/vest and jeans to more protective gear over the years. But haven't come to terms with wearing all of it when it is hot and humid. Love the Resurgence Rocker Jacket.
Highway 21 is one I wear textile Jean type material then I wear first gear heated liner with fly racing heated gloves or my leather cortex jacket both are armored. And bates tactical boots....
Hi From Uk agree if you ride and work on your bike doesnt matter what you ride to me your a biker gear totally up to the rider i wear kevlar jean AAA And textile jacket leather only seldom now great vid ride safe
Just my take on it - what you wear does not define whether or not you are a “real biker.” In fact, what you ride, how you ride, how much you ride, what you wear - none of it matters. It is all going to vary wildly depending on circumstances. What matters: you ride. I would contend that it is about the freedom. We *want* to ride. There are expenses, risks, people may look down on you or be afraid of you. Yet we still ride. We ride because it works for us. In that light, being concerned with if you have the right bike, gear, put in enough miles, etc. is exactly *not* what being a biker is all about. Sure, when I ride I’m a rolling stereotype. I don’t care. I’m not aligned with that, it just happens to be aligned with me and what I find comfortable and agreeable riding.
Great video ,Living up here in Newfoundland Canada I never have a problem with being to warm .Wearing long underware in summer is quite common .I am looking at getting some riding jeans from Resurgence gear soon.
Biker vs Rider vs Motorcycle enthusiasts. I would never call myself a “biker”. In my part of the USA there are certain clubs that get upset if you say you’re a biker. If you’re not wearing a patch, you’re not a biker according to some of them. I am a Rider. I ride a motorcycle thousands of miles every year. Basically if the weather is dry and the roads are safe I’m on two wheels. When I was in a more structured life with work and other responsibilities I still liked to ride, but was lucky to put 5,000 miles on a bike a year. During that time frame I’d say I was a motorcycle enthusiast as opposed to a rider. I think being a in each of those classes there is a hierarchy and responsibilities that need to be met.
You ride some sort of motorcycle = you’re a biker. 😊 Love the jacket! Good looking safety gear. I have various leather jackets and vests…but I’d sport a jacket like that. I’ll check out the web site…hoping they have ladies gear too.
bikers gear has come a long way since the early days in the 70s when a trip to the army disposals for boots & other stuff plus a levis jacket with the sleeves cut off ,resurgence gear is bit above my budget at the moment
Great informative video Aymen. BTW, I pulled out my Sherpa jacket from the wardrobe and donned it just to watch the video - It fits well though I also have to roll up the sleeves - perfect for winter riding. I've been riding since 1972, my first bike was a Kawasaki Z250 and I'd never registered a car in my name until 2010, when I bought an automatic car following knee surgery. I am a big fan of wearing protective clothing and equipment for all conditions. My favourite piece is a Belstaff jacket from 40 years ago. It still fits and I wax it every year. It was expensive to buy then on my meagre wage, but it's been worth every penny. I already have the Resurgance gloves, so if I win you can have a redraw. Cheers.
If You love to ride and would ride every chance you could you’re a real biker. Here in Canada scooters aren’t considered motorcycles because of their displacement . You also don’t need a motorcycle license for them.
I have a Kevlar lined blue flannelette long sleeve shirt and just checking the safety rating because of your show and to my amazement it's not ever rated, bugger.
Always great content. I have a few pairs of jeans but the resurgence jeans are by far the most comfortable. Still trying to find a decent helmet for long rides. Need a full face as my face doesn’t like bee stings. Has a habit of swelling my eyes shut.
I thought you will tell about helping others. for ex, to tell them your indicators are on, helping imergency people like hospital, etc, and if the road has any obstacle like wire, big stones, etc, we must help, but you just talked with ourselves
A biker is however you want to define it for yourself. Well...maybe not a scooter/moped. After looking at the Resurgence gear it struck me that I don't have proper riding boots - never have. So far me the Cafe Racer Boots.
Great job Sir! It's always funny debating the definition of what a "real biker" is. Some will say that you're either a "biker" or a "rider." What's the difference you ask. LOL...beats the hell out of me. The best answer I've heard is that a "biker" would rather ride than anything else. A "rider" is someone who likes to ride, but can live without it. I agree with you, a "biker" is someone who enjoys riding motorcycles, full stop. Frankly, I don't care what you ride. If you ride, we can talk. If you ride a Harley, we can talk more. If you ride a Harley cruiser, we can talk a lot more. My only concern is don't ride like a dick. As for clothing, I cheat when it comes to jeans and don't wear protective ones. I should though and will check out the Saint and Resurgent offerings. I never ride in shorts or tennis shoes or god forbid, flip flops! Boots are a must! Having worked for an ophthalmologist, I've seen a variety of eye injuries and absolutely will not ride without eye protection. I also always wear a helmet and gloves. The former because I don't have enough sense to lose anymore! 😜 The latter because I'm kinda fond of my hands and fingers since I've tried to involuntarily tried to remove them a number of times over my 70 trips around the sun. Finally, I rarely ride without a jacket of some sort, my favorite is my Langlitz Columbia in goatskin. Yes, it's heavy and it does get a tad toasty here in Texas, but I've found that I'm actually cooler without the sun directly on my flesh. Keep up the great work and ride safe!
Anyone who loves motorcycles, rides motorcycles and lives motorcycles. In my opinion it's more of an infatuation with motorcycles and of course " riding".
Someone who rides every chance they can get. Brand is irrelevant. Sometimes life gets in the way of your riding time. What I wear depends on the weather. I have a range of gear. At the end of the day if you own a bike and you ride it that's good enough for me
Any one who loves to ride is a biker. Don't ride a harley, but have a 82 goldwing. Always wear saftey gear, boots all the time, leather pants in winter and motorcycle jeans in the summer. Always wear either a leather jacket or summer motorcycle jacket. I have just started to wear an airbag vest under my club vest. Always wear gloves and being in Australia, we have to wear a helmet, but wouldn't ride without one as I have head injuries from coming off push bikes as a stupid kid
I ride a Streetglide and I am a rare sight as I also wear a helmet. Honestly I don't know anyone who cares all that much, but at bike nights it's very obvious that the consensus is; helmets are not necessary. My stance is; my family depends on me and my brain is my primary means of supporting them. As I said I have never faced any real hostility by non helmeted riders, so I don't think any of the bikers I run in to define a "real biker" based on not wearing helmets. I would say there is a clear attitude amongst bikers that people who buy a bike and ride it a few hours a month are not "real bikers" and I would concur with that. Being able to afford the latest and greatest bike isn't a measure of ones investment in the lifestyle. I respect people who ride prolifically because they love being in the saddle, regardless of what they wear. That's a "real biker".
Being the new b that i am . I got a pair of those sunglasses but when i wear my helmet the sunglasses begin to hurt the back of my head hurts around my ears . Is there anything i can do?
Real Biker, You have to own a bike and ride the thing.
Yep!
Simples !👍
So true and rain is good for the complexion 😂
Step 1. Own the bike
Most underrated comment
A real true biker= proper license, a bike to ride and most of all, one who never judges.
Thanks, good point
Hello from the US! Been riding for going on 40 years.....I think a biker is someone who just loves to ride and loves motorcycles no mater what they ride. When people look at my Harley and say " man you should wash that thing" I tell them a dirty bike is a happy bike.
Lol, I have to agree with you about the bike washing, I aim for no more than once a year
A lot of younger riders don't realize that originally Australian bikers wore denim because it was common and cheaper than leather, this includes early MC's, the later addition of abrasion resistance materials is a bonus as it only has to do its job once to avoid hospital, I like the Resurgence denim gear for tradition.
A real biker is someone who rides a bike more than drives a car....simple
Great work Aymen. Clip / editing worked well. Loved the detailed info that's gone into the vid on safety gear & ratings.

Dress for the slide, not for the ride.
thanks good advice
I'm a bit of a Harley history nut. Stands to reason I wear an old Brando jacket, aviator glasses, black levis, and HD boots.
very cool

Its an old video, YT made me take it down so I modified it and rereleased
All good, that explains it.. hope all went well at Danny's M$B ride today.
I love wearing proper gear to ride. Thank you, that's appreciated
Geez so many people in search of who and what makes someone "real". A real biker wears whatever the hell he/she wants to wear.
To understand the relationship between cycle and rider, to enjoy all your motorcycle has to offer safely, reliably and alive to continue doing so. To take time to meet and greet other riders, to have fun
Thanks for watching
Greatbwork on this video Aymen. Great video, settings and editing.
What microphone do you use for studio work?
Thanks. All my mics are Rode - (i don't remember which one i used)
Colloquially, a biker is an mc member like hells angel or devils disciple. The resto of us are motorcyclists like Lawrence of Arabia or Evel Knievel.
Thanks the definition differs across the world
Loved all the gear you shared & informative, specially liked the jeans info, keep the great videos coming
Thank you! Will do!
I like the jacket and the gloves.. great video
Thanks for watching
The Resurance Sherpa Jacket looks amazing. It looks comfortable to ride in. The mens warrior pl STRAIGHT : BLUE / BLACK jeans look comfortable to ride in and gives you room without binding up on you.

Good choice!
And to think I almost bought another brand jeans for more than twice the price! After your vids I thought I'd give Resergence Gear a go, great choice
I tend to wear safety gear much prefer my skin on my body rather than the road if I should happen to have the time where my bike lays down for a rest while I’m on it !
You are making the right choice
Buy the bike of your dreams, put the miles on riding the roads of your dreams and wear what the hell you want! 🇬🇧

Regurence jeans are now in my cart... I really like what I saw in the video. I can not wait to get them and ride soonish on a ADV 160.
Great video, awesome content. Really enjoy your videos and overall perspective on riding. My favourite gear that you discussed are the Resurgence Gear Jacket and jeans that you were wearing. Keep up the great content.
Awesome, thank you!

I like the Resurgence Gear black jacket for summer riding.
great jacket, thanks for watching
I’m going to check out the riding jeans at Resurgence as you suggested. I think it is a great idea to have some extra protection riding nowadays.
That's a great idea!
Love the resurgence sherpa jacket that you often wear with the lambswool collar Amon.
Looks mint!
Not the jacket for the QLD climate though unfortunately, but I reckon those gloves would work up here.😅
lol, i hear you, its for winter here only
Wind therapy feels good , and doesn’t matter what you ride and the Mileage doesn’t matter as well, jeans long sleeve, helmet, glasses is how I do it in Arizona USA, dress for the slide not the ride . From Arizona ✌🏼

Have evolved from the basic leather jacket/vest and jeans to more protective gear over the years. But haven't come to terms with wearing all of it when it is hot and humid. Love the Resurgence Rocker Jacket.
Leather is best in the unlikely event of a fire
Leather is good too

A real biker is just like a real car driver...just ride or drive, and enjoy!
Great video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Great video ,Living up here in Newfoundland Canada I never have a problem with being to warm .Wearing long underware in summer is quite common .I am looking at getting some riding jeans from Resurgence gear soon.

@@OldNotDead-Club yes you are absolutely right! But the respectful and helpful are also a things to wear on road

Simple answer....ANYONE who rides a motorbike and enjoys it and life! Ride safe mate! 😎
thanks
I wear a grin while riding.

Them gloves would be great in XL looks likes the resurgence jeans would ware nice in the USA
Good stuff, If you're on two wheels your a biker. I had better get some resurgance riding jeans, thanks for the heads up.
Good call!

Keep up the great work and ride safe!
a real biker may ride anything but rides almost daily rain hail or shine, the bike is his/her preferred method of transport.
Thanks
Anyone who loves motorcycles, rides motorcycles and lives motorcycles. In my opinion it's more of an infatuation with motorcycles and of course " riding".
July 2023 :) The resurgence jacket #1
Lol I had to delete, modify and repost the original video
Still says July 23rd 👍
Protection?
If you don't mind losing it then you don't need to protect it.
True
Someone who rides every chance they can get. Brand is irrelevant. Sometimes life gets in the way of your riding time. What I wear depends on the weather. I have a range of gear. At the end of the day if you own a bike and you ride it that's good enough for me
Thank you
I’m a motorcyclist, I have no idea what a “real biker” is.
lol, thanks
Any one who loves to ride is a biker. Don't ride a harley, but have a 82 goldwing. Always wear saftey gear, boots all the time, leather pants in winter and motorcycle jeans in the summer. Always wear either a leather jacket or summer motorcycle jacket. I have just started to wear an airbag vest under my club vest. Always wear gloves and being in Australia, we have to wear a helmet, but wouldn't ride without one as I have head injuries from coming off push bikes as a stupid kid
Are you still old and not dead?
Great info!
thanks still alive
I like the Denim jacket!
Thanks
No probs.... enjoy the vids. Top Shelf.
If you go out there and roll on 2s thru traffic and the weather, you are a biker.
I agree, thanks for watching
chinos for the win but I need (see: need) heritage slim in black. 32 if anyone is listening. cheers.
Lol, don't worry everyone is listening
I know I'm a real biker because I have an 'Old Not Dead" sticker on my helmet.
lol you are a legend - thanks
Two or sometimes three wheel and an engine, then ride it!
thanks
Who could hate you bro😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Lol, thank you
I ride a Streetglide and I am a rare sight as I also wear a helmet.
You have to try different combinations till you find those the work/fit properly
