Very wrong😢 book make a lot of mess
Snape shouldn't have been alive, right?
Snape is killed before the whole Nagini thing. So, unfortunately, the fact that Nagini lived has nothing to do with Snape's death.
Neither should Voldy!
When Voldemort tried to kill Harry along with his parents, and the Killing Curse backfires, we learn that because he has a Horcrux, remains as a bodyless soul. So when Nagini was alive in the apocalyptic parallel universe, Voldemort should have become the same as he had been during 1981-1991, as a bodyless soul living in snakes or rats.
Besides, I think someone would still have killed Nagini, and Harry should not have died! Harry simply cannot be killed by Voldemort, by the protection of Voldemorts blood, which is actually Harrys. Harry would have gone to King's Cross Station again, and returned again!
I have bought the cursed child book and have not read should i read it?
@@farrella.l610 It's fun to read for me, and i definitely enjoy the story, but it is not canon.
harry would NEVER be that rude to his son because he knows how much it hurts to not be loved by the family
I actually thought it fits his character because few times in books he errupted in anger even to his friends, but we can blame it on part of Voldemort’s soul in him. The more I think of it the more rubbish this is.
ondrej kosik but can you really blame him? during order of the pheonix, he witnesses cedric’s death, voldemort coming back and his consequences are that his name is being slandered. it also doesnt help that the dursleys are worse than ever.
Exactly.... I so agree with you
Bruh.. have you seen Naruto? It's the same flip of character we never expected to see
ondrej kosik you cant compare him as an adult to how he was when he was 16. harry lost a lot then which is a perfectly good reason to get angry easily. he would NEVER want his kids to experience what he had with the death of his parents, friends, sirius, and other people he looked up. also harry would never want them to experience life with the dursleys. and it would make no sense to blame the part of his voldermorts soul in harry because it was destroyed the night in the forest. all around this book/screenplay was horrible and completely contridicts certain facts J.K. Rowling created in the original 7 books
Why is it called Harry Potter when it’s not even about him

Dumbledore said that there are things worse than death.

I almost died when he said “you expect me to believe that Voldemort had sex”. I feel like that’s me when I discovered that in the tale of the three brothers that the third brother had to get a wife, and have a kid while in the invisibility cloak to hide from death. Moral of the story: the third brother had some insane game
Kind of jealous that Voldemort had sex with Bellatrix of all people. She’s probably wild in bed.
Petition to have Morgan Ross rewrite the script. I am sure the whole fandom would accept it as canon.

That would make so much sense!! 😂
And then she put Rowling under the impirius curse
(Sorry for spelling)
I agree. SHe wanted som of rowlings success but didnt get it
They really thought Harry, who used an UNFORGIVABLE curse (granted against a death eater) on someone because he spit on Minerva, would treat her that way.
Harry was the most OOC person in cursed child than any character ever.
Why did they even choose Cedric to be one of the villains? It works for Pettigrew because he depended on powerful people to protect himself, but Cedric being a death eater is impossible.
This is Harry Potter. 🧑🏻
👕
👖
He’s played by Daniel Radcliffe.
And will only be played by Daniel Radcliffe.
Same with Hermione
Same with all the characters from the movies actually. Richard Harris as Dumbledore as well as all characters from the first 2 movies. I did like the Bill change and a few others but not the Pub Owner from Prisoner of Azkaban changed. The original actually looked like one instead of being a comedic character, which JK wasn't going for in looks. I just want the original cast played for all characters, despite how impossible it is with Rickman and Harris and other actors dying.
Tamika Waters thanks for not asking for likes :)
Tamika Waters exactly
Tamika Waters Preach it
We’re all clear on one thing here: Harry Potter has 7 books. Period.
What happened after Deathly Hallows? They all lived happily ever after and Cedric stayed dead. Thank you very much.
It wasthe damn Cedric stayed dead for me😂 tbh yeah nothing happened after that
That’s what’s always gotten me. Do a continuation in the world if you want but Harry’s story is over.
Period.
And may be cedric be blessed with twilight
Honestly, Smith could be the Hufflepuff that goes dark for a short period of time, enchants Cedric’s body to scare the Durmstrang boys, and un-enchant him. That would be a likely storyline. No Cedric becoming a Death Eater, no disrespect to Hufflepuff BTW, but if any Hufflepuff were to go Dark easily, it would be Zacharias Smith.

The Cursed Child is just a fanfiction ✍️
And I know that you agree too 😃
yep
@@xxjulia0xx341yep
Actually its worse than fanfiction
For me one of the hardest parts to believe was Voldemort having a daughter because he was incapable of love and he only longed for power
Indeed
Agreed, and he always viewed himself as somekind of god, far above everyone else. Too far above anybody else to lower himself to them (pun intended). "I, who has stretched the limits of magic, who has gone further than anyone before me ever dared to." (i remember him stating something like that)...
If anything, it would have been more believable to me if he had magically created some "child" of him somehow using Dumbledore's powers. even though it's canon that magic can't be stolen. But with some smart wrtitng they might have gotten away with that, some form of dark magic that is able to mimick/recreate another's ability/talent or whatever
For me the fact Bellatrix is the mother makes it even stupider.
Love is not necessary to sire a child. If I try hard I could imagine a version were Tom Riddle sired a child by accident at some point or he could have seduced a woman to get something he wanted but not Voldemort after splitting his soles so many times. But if he sired a child when he was young it would be older then Harry.
The book, Cursed Child is literally cursed by 90% of the fandom.
lol 😂
haha lol
Kind of hilarious though, considering all the horrible fanfiction churned out by the fandom, which the majority of is far worse than cursed child.
i´d say 97%

I consider the Potter Puppet Pals more canon than this fanfic

And James Potter and the Hall of the Elder's Crossing. At least that book makes sense. Why couldn't she approve that?

Don't tempt her!
She probably wrote this, not going to lie
Hey, say what you will about her content and motives but there's no denying her work is captivating and exciting! XD I'd personally really love to see Rowling actually write "The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore by Rita Skeeter". It would allow her to play with a bunch of fun ideas but using the unreliable author she could avoid having to screw with canon. I love that she's taken fictional books *from* the original story and actually writing them, I think that's an awesome idea, I hope she does more of it.
rita skeeter looks just like my language professor and that's mildly disturbing
Let's not forget that Cedric wanted originally Harry to win....why would he get mad when he loss?
Jellorax 👏👏👏
Cuz he was humiliated
Yozora Sky, but he’s a Hufflepuff. They’re described to be humble, willing to help others, and wanting to play fair. Becoming a Death Eater for such a petty reason would be considered unfair to not just the Hufflepuffs, but the wizarding community as a whole.
Because the writers can't have read the books especially thorough.
Imperio solves everything.
"You can't magically create life"
Malfoy: "Hold this magic snake I just summoned"
Exactly it was summond like Hermione's birds, not created.
Thank you so much for your work on this video. I hadn't planned to read this book and now after this video there is NO WAY I will read this book. I have just finished reading all seven of the books for the first time and loved them all and to have them ruined by this one book would anger me so much so I appreciate you saving me the trouble. While I understand people can be affected by the circumstances that they endure in life, it seems hard to believe that Harry, Ron and Hermione would change that drastically and so completely different from the original canon. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said all Rowling saw was the check they sent her and she signed off based on that. This book sounds like it would ruin all the love that I have for Harry Potter after reading the books. Thanks again for your hard work.

@@tonyhou9246 ....
Excellent breakdown. I remember checking out the synopsis when this came out and laughed...and ignored it.
The thing that sticks out in my head is that all of the idiotic nonsense in the play happens DIRECTLY after the end of the 19 Years Later scene in which a Father comforts his son, tells him of the bravest man he ever knew, and gives him the tidbit about the sorting hat before hugging him and helping him on the train.
The play should never have been made with the story that they tossed together.
Also, Rowling almost certainly is under contractual obligation to NOT denigrate the material. Otherwise someone in r/l obliviated her.
Plot twist: the cursed child was written by both Rita skeeter. Dolores umbridge. gilderoy Lockhart. And uncle vernon Dursley.
Albus Dumbledore: Don’t pity the dead, Harry, pity the living, and above all pity the ones who bought The Cursed Child.
Pity the ones who wrote the book, the people that bought the books obviously don't know about it's story
I pity myself for purchasing the book
Me too, I hated this.
Pity the the fools who wrote this they do not know to tell the difference between a real story and fanfiction

I mean they made albus hate Harry when they had such a sweet relationship in the end of the deathly hallows
I really liked the idea of Albus having problems with being in Harry's shadow, I think it could have been written really well but it's a shame it was written with no ambition
I understand that been the son of Harry Potter for ALL his kids would make problems and live with the expectetion from the socity like the son of a famous athlete or a famous singer , but I dont see Harry became a bad father
Harry being trash to his kids while he as a kid quite literally only wanted family.
Voldy casually smashing Bellatrix.
Seems legit.
im sorry but this book sounds like a fanfiction by some human who was not a harry potter fan

And they also ship draco and harry.. ew
I know, but I like how nice Scorpius is and how him and Albus are best friends and they are both in Slytherin. thats all I like about it, though.

None of the new characters develop enough, and the old characters don't face trials in adulthood.

Hufflepuff Cedric is humiliated enough to become a DEATH EATER.
*See Austin McConnell's videos for proposed rewrites and the comments on that video for feedback.*
This was somebody else’s comment but it’s accurate: Every TRUE Potterhead would know that if Cedric lost, he would congratulation the winner
Well said,
Not somebody else's but is in the script of his video
In the book he literally wanted Harry to take the cup to win!!
Yea
Yes! Cedric's main characteristics are fair-mindedness and loyalty. He's the embodiment of Hufflepuff values. Then the Cursed Child basically says that because some kids sabotage his chance at winning a tournament, he decides to become a Death Eater and _kill Neville Longbottom!_ It's completely out of character for him.
Gilderoy in the second book: arrogant, snobby, a show off, prideful, has to be the best.
Harry in the “book that shall not be named”: arrogant, snobby, a show off, prideful, has to be the best… looks like someone got there characters confused when writing the “book” and I’ll give you a hint *John Tiffany, Jack Thorne*
There’s one thing I would add though: Developing the characters. We barely see much of Rose or James (Lily and Hugo are acceptable because they’re younger and just getting used to Hogwarts) and I think that it’d be cool to see how the Golden Trio struggle with parenthood/adulthood. Like someone said: it’s a *Harry Potter* book. It’s got his name in it. He should still be a very important character whose constantly learning from new experiences.
But I do like that they kinda skipped to fourth year. They probably could’ve done it better, but it’s ironically original. It shows that life at Hogwarts isn’t always an adventure or that the students don’t have to constantly deal with threats. Some years, Hogwarts is just.. Hogwarts
For me Harry Potter ended with the Deathly Hallows
Me too. In my own head canon this travesty of a play/book and the "Fantastic Beasts" films don't exist.
Sometimes people need to know when to stop. J.K. was rich enough to last her lifetime. The passion project she had once started writing in her basement she watched bloom into a treasured book and movie series. Why wasn't this enough? Greed is J.K. Rowing's biggest flaw.

I just did my first read through of this… or at least I tried to. After two hours of my life that I’m never getting back I am both laughing and screaming at this plot, so terribly to the point where I’ve stopped reading and don’t plan to continue. The ONLY and I mean ONLY logical and redeemable character in this is Scorpius. Every other character I despise and I think their choices are illogical and infuriating. I came into this book knowing that there were some issues with it not following canon, so I was prepared for that. What I was NOT prepared for however was the characters. I’m debating on whether I’m in a parallel universe or if the writers just got the characters so terribly wrong. It’s sad how much I have to say about them when I only finished a third of this sad excuse of a Harry Potter story, so I’ll skip over it so I don’t further infuriate myself. As a lover of storytelling (be it movies, books, stage plays, etc.), it is with great sorrow that I have to say a Harry Potter story was the first story I’ve ever hated so much I was unable to continue it. I give it a generous 0/10

@@xtzyshuadog Sex is actually one of the basic desires. Sex has nothing to do with wanting love or closeness. Animals have sex and then kill each other. This whole voldy wouldn't have sex because he can't feel love bull is just that bull. I am not in the least bit surprised that he would have been having sex with her. She was in love with him. Wouldn't mess with her own husband. It made sense to me.
melissa craig It’s out of character though. Voldemort thought he would be immortal, why would he have “love”, the chemical need to reproduce, and frick. When humans love each other it usually means they find each other fit to bear offspring, at least at the basic most animalistic level. And if Voldy just wanted sex for fun and pleasure, then idefk
@@ricetomeatyou852 The just for fun and pleasure part is what I'm getting at. Not everyone who has sex or even have kids together love each other. More often then not they don't care about each other at all. Sex is actually considered a basic human need. I wouldn't classify it as out of character. We never get into sexual urges in the Harry potter world. So we don't know how he felt about it to say it was out of character. We do know that people get drunk and Shit in the Harry potter world. So for all we know bellatrix got him Shit faced and took advantage of him. This part is the least shocking as far as I'm concerned.
The worst part of Voldemort having a child is that a key part of his character is that he literally cannot feel love or affection!!!! (He was conceived under a love potion which means so)
Love and affection is not necessary to sire a child or Voldemort would not exist. Why do so many believe that? You think any child in a forced marriage is sired because of love? My problem is that I can't imagine that Voldemort still has any genetic material to pass on.
@@sawanna508 no? Why would Voldemort have sex with bellatrix? It wouldn’t further any of his own goals. And what I’m saying is that it *cant* just be because he loves her.
The handful of good things in Cursed Child are the newer ideas; Draco reflecting on his childhood jealousy, The children of the Trio not all being friends (I wish they had explored Rose and Albus' strained friendship more), Albus being in the shadow of his father's legacy while his siblings are more in line with what people expect. Even Scorpius' crush on Rose could've been an interesting way to show how the reputation of Slytherins had improved post-voldemort.
Everything the sucks about Cursed Child are the things that are aiming to "recapture the magic" of the original story. Let's face it, the only reason the time-turners are here is so we can revisit a bunch of scenes and locations from the original story. If the writers had let Cursed Child fully focus on the the next generation, and what's going on in the present day, we could've had something really great.
(Also, I actually really like the Blanket Scene. In my most generous reading of it, Harry was trying to recreate what Molly did for him in his 6th year; give him an old family heirloom to show Albus that he's a truly loved part of the family. But because Harry has been so closed off about his past, Albus doesn't fully understand the significance and just thinks he got a shitty gift, while his Gryffindor Siblings got better. But again, the writing rushes past this scene, so it's really easy to brush it off as Al being bratty. Again, it all comes down to the crappy writing that cares more about the past than the current day, which is a great metaphor for where the HP franchise is now, tbh.)
Any second now Rowling is gonna jump out and say J.K.

Princess Moonlight EXACTLY! Cedric is Modest, Good-Looking, Smart, Athletic, Loyal and Kind-Hearted. So there wouldn’t even be a way for him to become a Death Eater for gods sake.
The way the screen writers wrote Harry's character was as if they were basing it off of the Harry Potter SNL skit 😂
The story contradicts itself. I remember Harry said the ministry has no time Turner's but they reveal a time turner on the end. In addition, Harry telling his son he wishes he wasn't his son, but he was hurt when he was questioned how many people died for him and sees his own family get killed.
Main 3 problems:
1- timeturners just don’t make sense
2- how can voldemort have a daughter
3- changing the depiction of harrys and cedrics characters
*changing the depiction of literally every character
*One main problem:
The book.
@@vkohli17 I wanted to say that too xD
@@vkohli17 yes
My Main 3 problems with it:
1 - it wasn't written by JK Rowling, her publisher forced her name onto it to make more $$$
2 - The person who wrote it did not read the Harry Potter books properly, there are non stop plot holes and inconsistencies.
3 - JK Rowling had a lot of the Harry Potter story that she had to keep out of the books, as her publisher told her it would make the books too long. But she has since released a lot of those missing parts onto her website. One part being her back story on time turners. She goes into detail about why it is not possible to go back in time more than 5 hours.
So basically they ruined the storyline of 7 books with one book
Underrated comment.
It is
Just pretend it doesn't exist, ok? Make yourself think the trio scene at the end of the war in Deathly Hallows is the end of Harry Potter. Forget 19 years later scene, and forget this shitty fanfiction. Makes you a lot happier :-)
What book? There aren't any books except the first 7.
Exactly what I was thinking
Adding on to the time turner flaw, time turners don’t actually change what happens as you can see in the prisoner of Azkaban. If you don’t understand what I mean, basically, they don’t change time, they let you go back in time and see what happened from a different perspective. Also, in the last scene of deathly hallows part 2, Harry says to Albus after he asks if he gets put in slytherin, “Then slytherin house would have gained a wonderful young wizard.” So it wouldn’t make sense AT ALL if Harry was ashamed of albus being his son.
In the battle of seven potters it was Dumbledore who came up with the idea to use seven Harry´s. So Harry only fought voldemort alone once.
This book is secretly Voldermort's 9th horcruxes

I read the script a few weeks ago, and I cried at Harry’s mean and abusive lines and Ron and Hermione’s death. But happiness took place when they came to rescue Albus and Scorpius.
If you know the dancing scene in the Deathly Hallows (Hermione and Harry) Emma Watson who wanted to stay true to the books as she read them all, didn't agree at first. Now there's this script and play that totally throws off the Harry Potter characters' dispositions and how they act and talk, and Emma Watson thinks it's better.
I just wanted people to know...

The only thing good about 'The Cursed Child' is a conflict between parents and children. I am not that surprised that Harry wasn't nominated for 'Father of the Year' award) He was raised in a family that hated him, so from psychological perspective he doesn't have an adequate family model. Harry's fatherhood is a constant trying to do what he thinks is right, but obviously sometimes it backfires. Damn, he said so himself, that he is as good at fatherhood as at paperwork. And it feels like, when Harry said to Albus that the faculty doesn't matter to him, he didn't mean it, like he said so because he didn't believe it was possible. And then he said if Albus was like James or Lily, it would be easier to him! Not a rare occurance when parents doesn't even try to see their kid's perspective and instead make them match some image.

I don’t think the writers even read the books. I feel like they were just going from what was in the movies.
judging from his review they didn't even watch the movies.. i think they read a synopsis of the movies.
even the movies wouldn’t give you this mess. I don’t think they even watched the movies.
Eadig 1 that would make sense because reading would take around 50 hours
2 that’s kinda stupid why would you make a story about something you barely know like if you only saw the movies you would know nothing about some details that may be important like spew you would know nothing about it
Eadig well for me since it’s garbage I don’t think they even watched the movies.

Harry knows what it's like to grow in an abusive household, why on earth would he be like Vernon Dursley to his son?!?! Also Cedric, a Hufflepuff as a Death Eater?? At this point might aswell just obliviate ourselves to think that this book doesn't exist
Believe me I wish my wand wasnt broken.
a lot of times children that grow up in an abusive home tend to be abuse parents because that is the way they were brought up and that was what they learned, im not saying that harry is abusive to his kids because he also knew what it meant to have real friends and have people love and care about him.

They did Cedric dirty.
We can't forget him telling Harry to take the Cup in the GOF Maze scene in the film because he'd saved him. "You saved me, take it!"
And also before that in the book prior, POA, Cedric wanting a rematch when he won that Quidditch match because he felt he won unfairly when the Dementors attacked Harry, causing him to fall off his broom. He absolutely would NOT have become a death eater for losing a tournament or even been upset about it.

How does it ruin the series? Just pretend it doesn’t exist using your imagination young one. Boom problem solved.
I was even surprised that they wrote Cursed Child in the first place. I was content with the ending of Deathly Hallows where Voldermort dies .Harry and Ginny get married have three kids. Ron and Hermione get married and have two kids. They live happily ever after. There shouldn't be anymore to it then that.
Of course you could lol my nine year old sister who has only read books 1-3 could write better fanfiction
Molly Zhou of course you can! I can and I am only nine
I also hated how they displayed harry, someone who was once our favourite character, disrespecting all the people he respected and loved, being cocky about his past and being absolutely destroyed in a duel vs Malfoy after saying " I don't want to hurt you "

Tiffany, with his wand at Rowling: Imperio!
Tiffany: Write another Harry Potter Book
Later,
Tiffany: Why do people hate the new book?
Rowling: It would've been a better book IF YOU DIDN'T PUT ME UNDER THE IMPERIUS CURSE!
Reasons why Harry would NEVER be rude to his son:
1- He grew i an abusive household hating every single aspect of it.
yep, that should do to explain why the writers never even opened a HP book
Or even watched 5 minutes of a HP movie.
Or probably don't know what abusive means.
Unfortunately, a lot of people who grow up in abusive households (not all of them, of course) also "learn" from it and, as much as they suffered, think it's the normal way to treat children. But I also think Harry wouldn't be that kind of person.
@@user-vh1pn9ks6v yes you're right, but people like that always seem to hate the idea of family. But Harry always wanted to have a family of his own, and also the compassion he showed towards his friends and others throughout the entire series is pretty evident he would not be a negligent dad.
Did his time under the Weasley’s roof mean nothing? Molly considered Harry to be like a son and went out of her way to do nice things for Harry.
Even if he grew up in an emotionally abusive household, that doesn’t change that he was compassionate towards people and that he actually had a family that didn’t treat him like the plague.
On the subject of Amos Diggory, I should point out that, in Goblet of Fire, Amos specifically told Harry that he *DID NOT* blame Harry for Cedric’s death, and even refused to accept the tournament prize money when Harry offered it to them. So no, having him suddenly decide that he *DOES* blame Harry in Cursed Child just doesn’t fly.

Is it bad that this is only thing I was thinking about 😶
I actually read the book before I had read the full series (I had only read 'Philosopher's Stone' before I read it) and I honestly thought that this was their characteristics. And then I read the other books. Needless to say, I HATE Cursed Child. Cursed Child is NOT canon. Period. And Cedric Diggory stays dead. Besides, Amos never went mad with grief over losing Cedric. Sure, he was sad - extremely and understandably so - but both he and his wife knew that Harry was not to blame and they FORGAVE him.
Besides, Cedric turning a Death Eater over losing a competition is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard (or read). Canon Cedric WANTED Harry to take the Cup and win, showing that he didn't care if he lost. He was actually giving his victory, thousand Galleons and eternal glory over to an injured boy who he could easily best. And, even if he hated Harry for winning, he would NEVER turn over to Voldemort. He was a Hufflepuff, for god's sake! He was extremely loyal to his friends AND family, all of whom Voldemort would've killed if given the chance (which makes me wonder, where were the Diggorys in the final battle?) So, no. That would NEVER happen!
I hate Ron's character in the Cursed Child. He would never say that they public were dying to get a look at him (or something similar, I read the book ages ago).
The part about Hermione hiding a time-turner in a goddamned bookcase which contained riddles anyone could break through? Doesn't sound like the Hermione I know and love. Canon Hermione would've never, never kept it in such an obvious position with so little protections since she of all people knew about what the time-turners could do. Best case, she would've hid it under a Fidelius Charm or something similar.
The time-turners...lords, DON'T make me started on them. The entire idea of them completely contradicts whatever Rowling had said. Besides, TWO special time-turners which can turn back years instead of hours? Seems like lazy writing.
I don't like Delphi and Albus' relationship - it simply doesn't seem natural. I'm not talking about Delphi, we all know that she was only doing it for her convenience, but Albus truly loved her or at least had a crush on her. How the actual HELL did their relationship progress so far? How? How? I need an answer. And then another relationship - Scorpius and Rose. This too, is poorly written. Why don't they understand that just throwing a few crappy, hundred-times-used, romantic phrases did NOT mean that they were so much in love?!
Harry's character...I want to murder the person who wrote the play. THIS IS NOT CANON HARRY! How could I have accepted that Harry was like that when I first read the play?
Besides, Harry just gaining the power to speak Parseltongue again after nineteen years and getting dreams? Without there being a horcrux? Besides, even if the Parseltongue powers returned, the dreams wouldn't have since Harry only started getting dreams AFTER Voldemort actually returned. Before that, in Harry's (most notably) first year, his scar only hurts when he is near Voldemort. He sure as heck doesn't get visions on what Voldemort is doing. He only starts getting them when...lemme check...just before the World Cup. When he murdered that muggle guy. Basically, if Voldemort wasn't doing something - like murdering - then Harry wouldn't really get visions. Hell, he didn't even get visions when Voldemort tortured and then killed Bertha Jorkins for information.
So, no, Harry would've never gained those powers just because Voldemort's DAUGHTER decided to play with time a little. He wouldn't have regained those powers even if Voldemort HIMSELF had returned back from the dead somehow (that would make sense since Voldemort would immediately make another horcrux when he realized that Harry was destroying them and he would've kept it hidden so that no one would be able to get to it.). No. Harry only had those powers because of the horcrux (which makes me wonder, did Nagini have the same dreams as Harry? Since she was also a horcrux) in him.
Not because some otherworldly deity had decided to gift him with them just because of convenience. Unless Harry has some secret Inheritance that he won't say but even that wouldn't make sense. Even if Harry's Parseltongue powers were hereditary and not from the horcrux (not possible but just for the sake of the argument), then he would've never lost the power to speak it and just regain it back randomly nineteen years later. He would've also passed it onto his three children if that were the case. So, nope. No way would Harry just regain back his powers to speak Parseltongue just because danger was near and it required Harry to speak in Parseltongue. Oh! What a coincidence! (Notice the sarcasm).
Delphi just existing makes me wanna puke. Why? Dear gods why did they have to make her VOLDEMORT's daughter? Why couldn't she be the daughter of Bellatrix and Rodolphus or some Death Eater who had died in the Battle and she wanted to take revenge? Why does she have to be Voldemort's? Besides, as the video says, Voldemort knew at that moment that he would remain immortal. So why sire an heir? With Bellatrix, I can understand if he was really desperate to have an heir.
But, really? It seemed to me that Bellatrix had somehow given Voldemort a Love Potion (which is impossible) and then did the deed. Which would make Voldemort a rape victim. And Delphi would be unable to love. Wow, it is a repetition of what happened to Merope and Tom Riddle Sr. Besides, if all of that didn't happen (and I'm quite happy to believe the former because the alternative is just disgusting), then there would be NO WAY that Voldemort would willing have SEX with ANYONE. He never wanted a family, he wanted to rule over everyone else because they were 'inferior' (one of the most touched-upon traits of Voldemort/Tom Riddle Jr). Besides, how could Bellatrix even have sex with a man who looked like a freaking snake of all things?
Which brings me to my next point. With all the horcruxes and the ritual, would Voldemort even have enough in him to impregnate someone? It seems highly unlikely.
Anyway, the entire play is bonkers and I DO NOT BELIEVE IT AS CANON AFTER READING THE SEVEN HARRY POTTER BOOKS! It actually seems the sort of thing a child would write after just briefly reading the entire plot of 'Harry Potter' on Wikipedia. And even children could write better than this. This is a truly horrendous piece of writing. How the hell could JK actually give it the OK? Doesn't she realize that for those who read the Cursed Child before any of the other books (like me) would never even want to buy the rest of the seven books?
I'm pretty sure I left out a lot of points. I will add them when I remember.
