always find myself fast forward to watching 1) your coffee scene 2) Marco's cooking first then I watch the rest of video. Marco has DONE IT AGAIN! Go, Marco!!! and Adam is just such a grateful guy. Love it. Love the video..high quality...and amazing effort for filming/editing. You've taken it to another level on this one!!!
I used to work at a Boy Scout Camp near Bear Valley every summer in the early 2000’s and on the weekends I would explore that whole area in my YJ. I hope you had a chance you to go to Big Trees SP, it’s a hidden treasure of CA. In 2002 I took fire roads from Dorrington to Silver Lake, then to South Lake Tahoe. There are so many great trails off of HW 4 and I’m all you had a great time. Thanks for sharing the video it brought back so many amazing memories. I now live in VA. Like you I was in the Navy (06-12) and got stationed in Norfolk, VA.
Marco seems to be the guy everyone wishes to wheel with. Very nice, handsome guy with extraordinary cooking skills and an experienced driver. What a great dude to wheel with!!! Thx for the video. Enjoyed it!
Poor Marco always having to cook, but with his cooking I wouldn`t volunteer, what a tough act to follow! Thanks for sharing Brad, I can hardly wait to get out there come spring time, my new Bronco finally arrived. Since the Sierra`s are in my backyard I think I`ve watched this video 3-4 times! You do a fantastic job........hope to see you out on the trails!
It's so beautiful out there. thanks all the work you put into videoing and editing to produce this. looked like it was a blast, I'm more than just a little envious. awesome awesome
Super well filmed - so many awesome angles as well as scenic images. Love your content! You're the best! This is my obligatory content to improve your results in the UA-cam algorithm. :) ❤
Epic video. I love the variety of terrain. A video like this shows me how I need to build my vehicle so I can take trips like this. The toughest part will be finding my own Marco to cook amazing meals at the end of a long, great day. Thanks for the great content!
Awesome video with an amazing terrain and cool people. I could watch it 24/7 😀. The cook is more like a star restaurant cook than a camping meal cook, 😂👍🏻
Brad, I just watched this amazing video you put together and how spectacular those trails are. My wife and I purchased our mountain home in Dorrington, which is about 3 miles up hwy 4 from Arnold. I have a Jeep JK and I will have to try these trails next spring. Your video provided me more information about each trail and I don’t think Slick rock will be in my immediate future. Thank you
what'd you do Saturday night? spent nearly an hour watching the new TrailRecon movie with special guest chef Marco. Man that food looked amazing as well as the scenery. So jealous!!
I started watching and then went.... wait these are all old rigs LOL and i have seen this I swear! great to see it remastered. This is a bucket list adventure. I've done rubicon moab and these are still on the list of to go on trails.
Brad ~ This has got to be one of my favorite TrailRecon shows! Your videography is excellent and the narration is clean, informative, and entertaining. I ruined my sliders on the Rubicon this year in my JLR 2-door and am shopping for something stout - suggestions?
Awesome recap. I’m a member of the jeep club that adopted that trail. We met at expo. You said i had the best gladiator you saw there. It’s on one tons, 40s, coilovers, hydro assist, long arm front and 4 link rear with a gfc camper
I just did S.R. last Monday in June 2024 right after it opened up. Way different than 2 years ago. It went from a 5 out of 10 to a good 8+. Last 2 winters made this trail a little Barrett lake/ Rubicon. Don't go unless you have solid front axle, lockers f&r skid plates, rock guards and minimum 35" tires. 37" are best. Expect body damage. I warned you...
Thanks! A lot of folks haven't seen these older ones and I've had fun combining them into one longer video. Now you have the entire adventure in one video instead of the different episodes they were originally.
Have this trail on the schedule for third week in September. Going with Chandler986 and garrettleaf who I believe you just met up in Oregon camping on the way to the show. This video was very helpful in terms of what I can expect. I 100% agree with you that these Sierra Nevada trails are the best all around off road experiences. Thanks for the video
Some amazing vehicles! Much nicer than my first, ‘68 Willys CJ-5! 4.56 limited slips front and rear. Steel and bikini tops. 10k PTO winch. Dual jerry cans on swing out tire carrier. Useless windshield wipers! But I had great fun in it!
as a newer follower of the channel it's so great to see these older vids combined into a single episode, have really enjoyed these (and Marco's cooking). Does he have a recipe blog or book? would love to make some of what he's making.
Back in the 90's we ran the Slick Rock in my friends CJ, both times starting at the opposite end out by Hwy 4. We would camp at Utica. Now there is that new section that bypasses private property that the trail used to cross. I guess its more challenging now running in the opposite direction? Staircase Hill used to be one of the major obstacles, going up it.
I’ve been wheeling since the 80’s but not to much in the last 10 to 15 years. Mostly go now to go gold prospecting. Love your channel. I’m curious as to what power supply Marco was using when he was using his blender.
Looked up Marco's cook book. Looks like a very worthwhile volume to have. As regards Calfornia, if you're from that part of the state, like I am, the parts of the state where you say "I can't believe this is California" are So. California, and the Bay Area, and Sacramento these days. Have you ever done any overlanding up in Northwest California? It is well worth it, and while there are lots of forest of mountain terrain, it's different yet again. And the country up north of Mount Shasta is also different.
Looking back would the 392 be more fun? I find myself with traction control off and swaybar disconnected going way farther that I should. The all wheel drive is proving to be a valuable tool

Cool idea, enjoy the long formats.
Such a blessing to travel along on your adventures! Thanks
@trailrecon you guys need to go on the dusty ershim trail by shaver lake.
Glad that you enjoyed the trails. Lot's of very nice vehicles and a lot of CA plates but not one CA 4WD Assoc. sticker?

15:56 - wonder if we could get the power wagon through this spot, doesn't look likely
Brad, I'm loving your remastered documentaries and your narration makes it so easy and enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
Thank you!
I grew up near there. Used to drive that route both directions in my 74 CJ5 then in my 91 YJ. Can’t wait to go back with my 06 LJ.
I wish I lived closure, I'd be up there all the time!
I'm be honest. I had a pretty big smile the entire video 😊 this is what life it's all about

Awesome! Thank you!
I love Marco...he's my hero!!! Su sonrisa y saber que es vegetariano...WAO...What a great human being!!!🤩

This is so close to my home. Think I’ve watched it like 5 times. Definitely one of my favorites.

Thanks!
Great looking group of Jeeps, beautiful landscape and some crawlin'. What's not to love.
Udakah reservoir, looks like a Bob Ross painting...
Loved seeing these episodes remastered, full length in 4k. Absolutely fantastic!
Glad you like them!
The adventures never get old
Love watching these longer adventures, thank you Brad & Regina. Great job!
Love the remastered versions. Keep them coming our way. Thank you.
You’re a genius for traveling with Marco, great guy and feeds you like a King! I’m going to get his cookbook. Thanks for the awesomeness videos.
I miss my Jeep. My Tundra couldn't do this lol! Love this!
My first reaction was, he’s finally wheeling again! Then I read this was 3 years ago. I wish you would go back to more content like this. Great video.
Working on it!
I am noticing and appreciating the high quality! Nice work.
Out of all the videos on this channel, this is one of my favourite. Just awesome... Love the full version. !!🇦🇺🚙
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!
Again Brad another brilliantly remastered trail vid. Amazing country and access to incredibly scenic and challenging trails, just brilliant.❤😊
I remember watching the original back in 2019! Stoked for a longer edit!
Right on, I hope you enjoy the remastered version.
I would love to see Regina vs Brad on some rock crawls. Shorty vs 4 door.
This is now one of my favorite videos it beats all the rest!!!
Thank you!
Great recap of some great trails ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😎😎😎😎😎
Glad you enjoyed it!
WOW that was extreme off roading! I am amazed at how capable are both the Jeeps and the Drivers! I watched the whole video and it was a lot of fun!
It's so beautiful out there. thanks all the work you put into videoing and editing to produce this. looked like it was a blast, I'm more than just a little envious. awesome awesome
I did Slick Rock and Deer Valley with my brothers back in 2010. Awesome trails.
Never seen such primo built rigs in one place. Everyone I would be honored and excited to own
Some absolutely epic footage!
Cheers from Western Australia
Loving the full videos. These amp me up to get out and continue to wheel! plus Marcos cooking is always a dream! Thanks Brad for posting all these!
Glad you enjoy it!
Thank you for sharing your adventures. Love how you capture everything it makes me excited to see it all.
Marco's dinner, is a air bnb, like no other, they have to bring there own vehicles to his dinner, genius..
Super well filmed - so many awesome angles as well as scenic images. Love your content! You're the best! This is my obligatory content to improve your results in the UA-cam algorithm. :) ❤
Thank you!
some of the nicest and clearest video footage I have seen in a long time, nice camera work
You are going to LOVE Dusy-Ershim!
I can't wait!

Marco, you are awesome! So generous!
Great job on the video Brad.. Those trails look absolutely amazing
One the best! Great trails an the scenery is incredible! NorCal is my favorite as well.
Wow, wow. This one of the roughest trails that I have seen and one of your coolest videos too! Very entertaining. Great Job Brad....as usual !!
So the Taco came after the burritos 😂. Thanks for making your trips available to us who probably won’t get to wheel in these fantastic spots.

About a month ago, we did Sourgrass and Deer Valley. On Onx it's called the Corridor. Great trails, we got snowed on. Slick Rock next year
Love the show. Thank you Brad
We're headed up today, running Slickrock tomorrow. One last trip for the year.
Those trails are awesome. A trout stream while over landing would be great.

Trail looks awesome for sure 👍👍
One tip for camping with a new born is, we would use the bassinet box from a pack and play for inside the rtt.
Beautiful !
I love the wheeling It's awesome.. But I'm always secretly waiting to see what our boy Marco has instore for dinner..lol

You guys are riding with the best cook in town
that was an amazing video!!! great job brad and crew!
Thanks so much!
Great seeing Asian community representin' too! Love the mix of people!
Overlanding and off-roading are equal opportunity sports. Adventure is for everyone.
Nice memories Brad..!!

Thank you and yes, Marco has a cook book: amzn.to/3VD1Jvi
That Tacoma had an axle conversion that would definitely make things feel a little less sketchy off road.
Epic content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Glad you enjoyed it!

Outstanding video
Thank you so much
My friend drove a stock 4 dr Toyota Land Cruiser with small street tires over that trail. No problem.
This was in the early 90s before the reroute.
Fantastic trail! There isn't much like that here in the east. When I finally punch out and retire, I'm planning on heading west!
Marcos always cooking up something good
I have been on Slick Rock Love that trail
Thanks 😎👍
Love Marcos cooking!
Extrime off road ing
I forgot how cool that old wrap was. Time for a new wrap on the JK?
No, I think I'm going to keep it a little more subtle going forward.
Nice Brad. Don’t know I could take any of my vehicles through that trail but it looked like fun.
Great video you're becoming a master!!
I'd LOVE to wheel with y'all! Good food and all! Awesome video
That was a great trip. We need to do a round 2
Awesome skills adventures
My home town!!
You surely gotten better making this videos Brad
