His followers are called the Tormites, and Ao made him a lesser deity because he stayed true to his profile during the Time of Troubles and his followers protected one of the tablets, thus he became a lesser. When Tyr died in 4e, he gave all of his profile to Torm so he became a greater deity and he his still a greater deity when Tyr mysteriously came back (5e never say why Bhaal, Tyr and Helm came back) He also has a friendship with Helm but the mortal clergy are cold with one another.
Probably for the same reason Mystra came back, people never really stopped using them even if they were dead in 4ed.
We do know why Bhaal came back, it's the plot of Murder in Baldur's Gate.
SPOILERS:
Bhaal gets resurrected after the last two living Bhaalspawn - Abdel Adrian and Viekang - face off in battle, one killing the other. I don't remember exactly, but I _think_ the survivor gets taken over by Bhaal and turns into him, thus finally fulfilling Bhaal's plan to work around Alaundo's prophecy.
I wonder if that Torm guy still looks like a lion. That'd be pretty dope.
Dude I love all of your videos! Please don't stop!
Just completed a campaign where I played a Chaotic Good Halfling Urchin Cleric of Tymora! Spent the whole time, healing eating and taking chances. Played the whole game without once hitting a foe either.
Thanks for the series. Keep it up!
I wont hit you but Brutus might!
I'm currently playing a campaign where I'm a paladin of torm and I end up being one of his top paladin by brings back this dead paladin of torm back to life and getting his holy sword. Also for doing that he contacts me during my prayers and gave a little bit of his power to me and that paladin I saved because some type of evil this going on in our plane of the universe.
The sword is pretty cool too, its a pluse 5 intelligent sword and if any spells or magic items are in 5 feet of it dispells the item. And better yet the name of sword is called the doom slayer
Perfect timing! Two players in my next campaign are followers of Torm. Just the info I needed.
A temple of Tymora recruiting adventurers? I think you just gave me the hook for my upcoming campaign, thanks.
I like Timora. She's a fun deity w/o being a deity that encourages being an idiot or greedy.
Tormites engage in "The Purge"?
That was my first thought as well
weird that a law based church has a purge style holiday?
I’m working on a rogue/cleric character, and I figured Tymora would be a good deity. Thanks for posting info on her!
Oh pls do a video on the Harper factions and their background! Looking forward to it! :))
By Torm I shall strike you down!
I think I just found The right god for my oath of glory paladin
Jorphdan is very dedicated to his fans, even on holiday, he is still putting out content for all of us.
Finder Wyvernspur isn't on the list. :(
Tymora is my favorite deity
Great job Bro thanks for all your visa. Ogma bless you
Perhaps this has already been answered but what are the dates of the 2 festivals to torm? More specifically the true resurrection.
This can be found in Faiths & Avatars a 2e book.
"...the Divine Death on the 13th of Eleasias (commemorating Torm's death in battle just north of Tantras during the Time of Troubles, when he and Bane destroyed each other), the True Resurrection on the 15th of Marpenoth (when Torm returned to his powers, at the end of the Godswar)"
Thank you
I'm starting a cleric and I decided that my character should follow torm.
Hey Jorphdan,
I'm starting a new campaign for two parties in the Bloodstone Lands. Do you know where I can get more information about the Narfelli and Raumathari empires? Or would you be willing to make such a video at some point if you have not yet?
one day where anything goes...D&D Mardi gras!
I remember when Helm used to be Torm. I miss those days.
That's it I'm worshiping time warner. Oh please I beg of you let something be on that's good. If you demand a sacrifice ill offer up snacks
Factions videos Jorphdan pleaseee! :-D
Next is my favorite TYR!!! :D
Are Torm and Helm related at all? Their symbols are two different sides of a gauntlet.
Can you make a video about Auril? :)
Sure! ua-cam.com/video/MpoNKiSDBhE/v-deo.html
At this time, Torm is a Lesser Deity or a Greater Deity?
I've now heard the followers called Tormtar, Tormites and now Tormish. Which is it? Do all 3 apply or is one specifically more right than the others?
Tormtar are the ordained clergy. Tormish are all the faithful (clergy, knightly orders and lay worshippers. Tormite refers to all faithful, but Tormish consider the term mildly insulting.
Tymora 2:53
So... Torm created the Purge?
whats torm's alignment?
It's Lawful good.

I love your videos! Thank you for doing such great videos on the FR lore!
Also, thank you for using your normal speaking voice. I wish I could get into the Faerun History channel here on UA-cam, but I can't sit through the really terrible voice acting on their videos!
Awesome post! I cannot believe I've never considered a party all of the same faith! Great idea!
