Mina! It's people like you that have really helped in my UA-cam Journey. Now that I think about it, I totally failed to elaborate on my small loving community I've made on here. All yall's supportive comments have really made a huge difference in sticking with this journey and truly helping making it enjoyable. While I say that I first and foremost do it for myself, I'd be crazy not to think my community plays a huge role in all this 🤎

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 956 subs and > 800 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@MikeeRogers Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my UA-cam channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a UA-camr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. What I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd able to gain 1K subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened this year. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.

After reviewing your UA-cam channel, it appears that the challenge might be associated with your thumbnails. From an external perspective, I find it challenging to understand why I should click on your videos. The thumbnails do not clearly communicate what I stand to gain or learn. For instance, in your ADHD video, the title mentions ADHD, but the thumbnail emphasizes a new fresh schedule. As a viewer, I'm uncertain about how this schedule will benefit me. To enhance viewer engagement, consider adding emotions to your thumbnails, such as "new schedule to reduce frustration, overwhelm, and anxiety linked to ADHD." Please note that this feedback is intended to be constructive, not rude-it's aimed at helping you improve. How about this title :
      "Unlock Calm: ADHD Relief Schedule"

I will say to those who see this you have to know going in that UA-cam is a very solitary journey when you start out (it is for everyone) so you really have to be passionate about the content you make or else you will drop off. Rest assured good things will come though, I'm getting sponsor requests and brand deals that I never would have imagined with only 2k subs and have started collaborating with other youtubers too. Hi Mike,
First of all, thank you for taking your time to share this video. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I just turned 40, and resonated with everything you shared (self love, imposter syndrome, etc) I have been putting of sharing my videos because I fear the judgement, the criticisms, and the self doubt.
Thank you for the inspiration, brother. I appreciate you. I wish you much blessings and happiness in everything that you do. Love and Light.

The title made me click your video but I'm not disappointed! Your voice is so soothing! When watching your video, I feel like being welcomed to your home for a warm cup of coffee. Anyway, you raise some very interesting points. It's not just about having a monetized channel. Creating videos gives me satisfaction on its own. And when someone watches something and gains some value from my content, then I'm happy. I love the connection with people on the internet. People interested in what you have to say can't hear you if you don't share. All the best!

I totally agree! I remember when I was starting on youTube around 2015 or something like this. It took me like a year to hit that record button. Then stepping over the fear of recording first my voice without my face, then talking and showing myself I was so scared that time, the experience of showing yourself was just out of this planet for me. I'm still far from being really ME on the camera but I'm way better then I was in 2015. It's challenging but its fun in some way :) its funny how simple talking to camera can help you slowly to build confidence in life as well :)

I love this. I started my channel two weeks ago after quitting a year ago (after just two uploads). I was too embarassed and yet, all this time I couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to be on UA-cam and social media. But my main fears were, What will others think? What if my content isn't perfect? What will I even make videos about? But the truth is, I always felt non-creative because I never TRIED! But now that I'm actually creating content and putting it out there, no matter if I think it's 'perfect' or not, I feel like I'm bursting with things to share with others.
And I can relate with how you gained confidence through having a UA-cam channel. I feel less judged, more comfortable with myself and even heard from a classmate I carry myself differently. Thank you for sharing!

Hello Mikee, I'm also someone who kept putting off making UA-cam videos for so many years. I kept seeing people who were younger than me and who led seemingly more interesting lives get into UA-cam and I thought it was too late, even in my late 20s.

Mikee I just discovered this video on my feed. I clicked because I’ve been wanting to create more content, and have had the exact thoughts as you of impostor syndrome and being 35+ as a creator.
I took a video creator course led by Rachel Nguyen (thatschic) and Jenn Im and they both, around our age, confirmed the need for more 30+ year old creators. That really opened my eyes to how many more experiences we can share!

Listening to you talk about imposter syndrome and being an introvert is like observing my own reflection. I relate to everything you describe, albeit being a few years older 😂. What inspired me to start my UA-cam channel was reading the book "Everything is Figureoutable" by Marie Forleo. I highly recommend this book for those who are still waiting on the sidelines.

Thank you Mikee! Impostor Syndrome is huge and I can tell you that you weren't the only who have gone through it. I haven't started anything but for about 2 years I have put everything on hold. I am now 32. One thing that inspired me though that it's more for myself than any other people. There's of course a huge demographic out there who would say that "This is just for clout" but I say that it isn't it's about immortalizing your memories. They can watch it or not and we shouldn't care, what's important is that we can see it somewhere and that some day in the near future someone will get inspired by it and continue their journey.

Really inspiring video man, I hope to be like you one day. I have been doing UA-cam Shorts last six months, and what helped me the most was that I found out that you can give your videos (even the long ones) the initial dose of views and likes (I am mostly using a little bit of famester for this, just because I think it's really great service and I never had any problems with it). This way you are always one step ahead of the algorithm.

I’ve been wanting to start a channel but I feared being talked about, people in my life finding out and gossiping, no one watching or just not being interesting enough. I watch so many vloggers and my husband has always encouraged me to start, saying people would love to watch me. I always thought there’s a market now missing realistic day to day lives of 30+ year olds which I fall under. So he bought me the Osmo Pocket 3 and I’m going to break that fear and vlog our winter trip. So thank you for this video ❤

Your vlog just showed up in my feed and I really enjoyed it. I have a hunch it is because I have been recently looking up content on how to grow on UA-cam. My channel has been around since 2015. This channel started as a hobby then there was a couple of years of being part of a small community of vloggers that I loved. Then the community kind of dried up, presumably because of life. The past couple of years have been a doozy for me and I didn't feel like creating anything. And when I did my heart wasn't into it. I just turned 44 in October and decided I wanted to give it another whirl, so here I am. I am glad your video showed up. It gave me an extra bit of motivation. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to checking out your past adventures and to the new ones to come.

I feel compelled to leave a comment. I feel like this popped up in my feed for a reason. I'm also 41 and have been wanting to start a YT channel for the last 10 years. I've even been told by a couple people that I should have a YT channel. One of them saying because of my personality. It's like they sensed that YT fits me. I've uploaded a couple videos just for practice but I want to be consistent with something I'm passionate about; travel being one of them. But as you can see you're not the only one. There are other people out there who feel the same way as you. I know at some point I have to start it. And I would like to do it before 2024. Thanks for sharing this! You never know who it will inspire. I think you'll do well. You're authentic and authenticity will take you a long way. Happy YouTubing!

I swear you were sent to me by the universe today... I've been in a creative slump as a small South African - almost 40yr old UA-camr and you've just motivated and resparked my passion for this platform. You've gained a new subbie and thank you so much. ❤❤❤

Wow I must have manifested this video to give me the boost I needed! I’m 32 this year, and I’ve been wanting to start a channel since I was 20 years old! Even filmed some content but never uploaded. Over a decade of wanting to this, but not doing it because I felt not good enough, not talented enough, didn’t have the perfect setup… Crippling imposter syndrome and fear of “failing”.
But for the past year I’ve been shifting my mindset and now I’m determined to do all the things I dreamed of doing, no matter if I succeed in it or not.

You got this! Life is too short to not do something based off what others might think. You're the main character in your story right? Wishing you the best for 2024!

Great video, and happy to know there were others stalling just like me ☺️

I needed that last bit of choosing to be happy instead of sad today thank you. Also thank you, I am 30 and I have had te same thought process as you when it comes to videos, thinking who would watch my content, when a lot of other channels out there are putting out the best pieces ever.

I say that at the end of my videos because I truly believe when we're in a position where we could choose, we should always choose happy whatever that might look like for that day, so glad you were able to choose happy 😊 - and regarding content, especially in the beginning stages, don't stress on it. Use that first year to grow as a creator and person. Wishing you the best!

Loved hearing your story Mikee! This gives me much encouragement to finally start my own UA-cam channel - after years of putting it off and feeling the regret for doing so. As a fellow introvert, it feels terrifying to make myself so public facing, but seeing the personal growth it has given you is so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤

I’m an introverted 40+ year old Filipino 🇵🇭. This was so refreshing to watch, as I’m always looking for more content that relates to my own life experience. Thanks for putting this out there-I’m glad it UA-cam suggested this to me, and now I have to go back and watch all your previous work :)

It's really powerful, I too am 30 something and I've been doing this for a while mostly for figures but also for some of my memories of the things I want to preserve and tell so...this gives me a push to not just keep going but also doing it better

I just discovered your orange thru this video and - as a 44 year old debating on finally starting a UA-cam channel and wondering what my niche should be - I really connected with you. And after reading all these loving and supportive comments has really inspired me to no end. You have a new subscriber, I look forward to following your journey.

Thanks Chris I just subbed as well, you have a great talking voice! Clear and natural, something I'm working at haha. But so true about the supportive comments. I have a small tight fit community that always comment on every video and couldn't have had as much of a good time on this journey so far without them so truly appreciate the community you can build on this platform. Good luck and look forward to your future content!
