Awesome video Lucas, very few people ever get to see gobblers fight with intertwined necks and beaks to establish pecking order like that, I’ve been fortunate to experience it twice now over the years….two very nice bucks too, you might decide to shoot one of them later on but for now it was a great hunt with lots of excitement,
You are doing a phenomenal job self-filming! I agree with you for not taking the shot after you got to full draw. He was skidish but he was very aware and alert. I feel that the noise of the bow being released would have made him react big time. Great call, still plenty of season left! Good luck!🦌
I don’t film my hunt’s but you have some awesome video of a beautiful 🦌 I probably wouldn’t have shot him either! Sike Just think you may have another chance at him down the road but most of all the rut is just around the corner!
Bad things can happen when the opportunity isnt optimal. Ishot a doe that was quartered that hard last year. The broadhead (muzzy mx3) deflected off the ribs and sliced its side wide open. It flesh wounded her to death
Judging from the size of deer in your area I would say you made a good pass. Myself I believe that you shoot the one that gets you excited so much the decision is obvious. Good job, great video.
That buck knew you are there and still stood broad side to give you a shot. 😂 not in PA. Bucks in pa are heavily pressured and skidish. Almost the only time you would see them is during rut. Or during a drive. They don't get that big here. If it's brown it's down. Lol
Great encounter, and footage. I’m surprised he did not spook after staring you down. You know you have giants in your area, so I can see why you didn’t shoot. 90+% of us would have shot, but it’s your season, your tag.
Well done in self control but next time wear gloves or paint them hands. That's what looks like got you,the slightest movement can be seen when not hidden. Beautiful area.
First day of season...let him walk if you have any doubt. Never know what else may show up. Then on the last day of the season, you can kick your self for not shooting him.
Perfect tree, I don’t know how he picked you off like that. Definitely a shooter.
Incredible patience and great footage
Amazing footage! I have been hunting for 30 years and never seen two turkeys like that.
I feel you made the right decision great footage 👍

Right call.

People calling that a pass lol he was gonna shoot it but got out of range
Only 25 yards when I came to draw

You had plenty of opportunities before he was way out there u must not want him

I think he’s hunting broke back mountain turkey’s
Never pass a deer on day one you'd shoot on the last day lol
Why don’t you take the stand off the bow so you can maneuver better 🤦♂️

you should have shot him you might not see him again now
That's an epic show of "educating" the herd, wait till you smell like a man, after some chili, them deer be long gone. Good job kid, way to get on em.
Gooch should take you out on some public land challenges this year with the hunting public.. be an epic collaboration
That's an excellent idea!
Dang bros grown a whole lot
😂 almost 6ft
