- The Mustang is all new for 2024 from Mustang. On the outside you will be greeted by an all new color called Atlas Blue, and special striped. On the inside there is a full leather interior with new tech. Under the hood you will find a 2.3L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 315HP & is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Joe is a walkin', talkin' encyclopedia of all things automotive. Zero zonks for this man and his team.
Oh wow! That is so awesome of you to say
His team? He is 1/2 of the team 😎😎
I've had a base model 2024 Ecoboost for a couple months that I got for $32k and bought as a daily driver. I've had several GTs since 2007, including a 2021 most recently. I have to say, the car is really nice with wireless carplay and plenty of standard features. The updated 2.3L is PLENTY for the street. You can drive it like a total clown in track mode and not get into too much trouble. It's a really fun car. Handles great. I average 24 mpg.
Just out of curiosity, what are the lowest speeds that the car can maintain in 9th & 10th gear?
A fun car to drive everyday. Love this ecoboost option.
The Mustang has come a long way. My first *new* car was a 1988 LX 5.0 that I bought when I was 20 (36 years ago). It was 225 HP and 0-60 was 6 seconds and it was king of the road back then. No A/C, cloth seats, no power windows or door locks, no stereo even, and just shy of $13k. Got it in Blue as well.
I always like Raiti how you break down the history of these models. 😀
Thank you for saying that
43k for a 4cyl, that's insane, that was the starting price for the GT not long ago.
Facts I was thinking that’s still a little to high
4 years ago. Gas was around $2.00 per gallon. There's this thing called inflation. Sucks, but a reality. If you skip some if the options like the heated and cooled seats. You can get this car in the $30,000. It seems that every vehicle no matter the brand tested by professional automotive magazines and U-tubers is the top of the line regarding options and pricing.
This has options my guy. Starting price is 30k base and 36k Prem. Fully loaded around 46k, which isn't bad given that the last gen EB went up to 45k.
That's in line with the other turbo 4 banger cars. Supra 2.0, 230i, CTR/ITS, Golf R...etc.
@@DragonKnightX1246k for an Ecoboost isn't bad?????? its robbery. Jesus Christ.
@@jp23x That's fully loaded including all the luxury features.
2.3 High Performance Pack which got some good upgrades. It further closes the gap leaving only a 0.3s difference between the EB and GT.
Active exhaust and magnaride push it up to 48k.
i rented one for a trip from South Florida to Vermont and back to South Florida. I lived with the '24 ecoboost for about 3 weeks and absolutely loved it!! In fact, I loved it so much I bought one as soon as I got back to Florida. I got the Premium Package with the 201A high option package. Fantastic car!! Very good performance. Its not the GT but it has more than enough power to give you a gratifying sensation when you stomp on the gas, and as Joe says, the handling is really very good. Great car for running to the store for groceries (nice sized trunk) but also very comfortable on a long trip. Expect about 34mpg driving at 80mph on the highway but so far, in the terrible South Florida traffic, the best ive gotten is 24mpg.
I rented a 2017 Ecoboost. Darn fine car and that's coming from a 5.0 owner.
I love the clean look. I own a 2021 Ecoboost. Plenty of fun. Owned a number of GT’s as well. Gotten older and needed something with less power and a auto transmission.
Why would you ever NEED less power?
Over here talking about needing less power when my 76 year old grandmother bangs through gears. If you want a slower car that’s fine, but don’t blame old age.
@@killua5896he talked a out himself. How frustrated you have to be to think that just because HE GOT OLDER AND WANTED SOMETHING LESS POWERFUL he was talking for everyone😂😂😂
I couldn’t stop staring at the air box under the hood. I guess they couldn’t make it level. 😂
Thanks Joe ! And Lori !!! And Steven !!
I rented a 2023 manual eco boost from Turo a few months ago. What a blast that was to drive. Got decent MPG even though I drove it enthusiastically shall we say. I’m 6’4” and fit well too. IMHO that generation (GT & Eco) were the pinnacle of the Mustang family.
Ecoboost mustang has a manual?
@@khelgarironfist3301 they used to. Sadly no longer.
I have a 24 Ecoboots, it drives great and has a decent amount of power! I have the factory active exhaust and over all it sounds decent for a 4cly!
I got the same model how much did you pay for yours
always great reviews rati always happy when you post a new video
Thank you Steve and Joe for another excellent review and videoing! Alot of car for the money and has nice features
I love the ecoboost option! Thank you so much for showing this! It’s a great car for everyday driving🎉🎉
I would certainly choose the V8 gt, but I do like that color and the wheels. It's also nice that the non V8 versions look WAY better than past ones. It looks higher quality unlike v6 challengers.
The ecoboost Mustang is cool, but it needs a manual. When it was revealed I got excited, until they said it's only coming out as an automatic 😢😢
People need to buy them then.
Used to have manual but such a low percentage of people purchased manual ecoboosts that Ford opted to not waste their time making those for the 2024 year
@@TheWingmanPro I believe the take rate for Mustang Ecoboost with manual was around 5%. So apparently there should be hardly any complaints because nobody is buying them.
Why not just get a manual last gen HPP ecoboost? Its a better car than the new model in almost every area.
What makes it a better car?
i had a 2020 mustang sold it now i want one of this :) thanks for the video
That seems like very good value! Thanks guys! 👍🏻
Saw my first S650 on the highway the other morning, looked good rollin. 👍 🐎
What's not to like? Performance, handling, decent economy and sharp looking. I'm past the supercar age and just want something FUN. I rented an ecoboost convertible in 2020 and loved it. I WILL have one before I'm too old to enjoy it.
Sounds like a plan Bucky!
What's not to like? Price. I bought a 2014 V6 convertible brand new. Manual transmission (rare) and a decent spec. Out the door was 30k. Yeah yada yada inflation, but a brand new Ecoboost convertible with ZERO options? $41k. Make it nice? $50k. That's base BMW 2 series or loaded 2 series/base M240i respectively.
@@gordonmills2748 That's why I won't buy new. I'll let someone else take the 2-3 year depreciation hit. I AM interested to hear folks' feedback on how well the Ecoboosts are holding up long term, though.
Amazing review Joe.
Love this video and how you explain everything in detail. Including it's legendary history. 🙌 ❤Ty! 💙👌🥰
Nice to have options.......Nice Mustang. Merry Christmas to you and yours Joe.
Thank you my friend!
I have one in the night and pony package its awesome. I recommend absolutely
Love the Atlas blue. Couldn’t get it from any dealership so I went dark matter grey instead which is ok. The stripes on Atlas blue make it look unique and classy. Spoiler delete makes it look less punk like and more mature.
That sounds a lot better than I expected.
Nice stock exhaust, TBH.
Sounds bad.
@@bigpapi9223for a 4 cylinder? Nah
JJ ~ it's a pretty color, your auto reviews are the bestest. I love you guys. tony
Finally a Beautifully CLEAN car!
More than Enough power!
Exhaust sounds european!
Amazing!
Are we gonna have convertibles? That will make it Perfection!
Thanks Ford Co.
Convertible is available.
@@kennetho5393 thanks a lot!
Very appreciated! Great show as always!
Namaste!!!!
This is incredible performance for a base Mustang. I had mustangs growing up and had a 1991 GT followed by a 1993 Cobra, and the Cobra, I believe, had around 240hp and did zero to 60 in about 5.7 seconds. 4.5 zero to 60 in this is unbelievable and looks like a definite purchase. I don't care for the screens at all, but I guess we're stuck with them in pretty much all vehicles now. I'd strongly prefer gauges placed in traditional manner that are digital without taking over the cockpit. I guess it's time for me to start yelling "get off my lawn"! Lol
You are so very right about that!
I would like to see you do a review of the Performance Package EB, and see if there is enough of a difference to substantiate the extra $$$$$$
You’re awesome, love your reviews.
I can't do it with out your support!
Thinking about ordering a custom build with dark matter color, nite pony package, red seats, and with the upgraded exhaust and red accent racing stripe. Always wanted a Mustang as my dream car and with how much I travel, seems like a great choice for me.
Soundwave! You are now my favorite reviewer! I still have my original, no packaging sadly
Thanks Jeff for letting share all the memories with you! I wish I still had mine!
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video real true 👍 💯
Joe, I like the Atlas Blue on the Eco Boost Mustang. Hope it is available with the V8 also.
Got mine, love it
Fair, well done videos as always!
I took video's of the Dark Horse at the autoshow. Brooo dopest sports muscle car ive seen in ages
I love the clean look😀
it's a good little ride for the price value ,& good on gas & insurance . if I needed a 2nd car I would buy this to be my daily driver.. As stated it's good on gas & insurance isn't too expensive compared with the GT V8....
Thanks for sharing your feedback on this one.
Got mine last month. Love it the only issue right now is the rattling sound from the screen. Still trying to figure out what to do with it.
Oh wow! Rattling!?! Is it loose
Right my sons 24 has same rattle dang so annoying it’s split screen and rattles come on ford you can do better on these new ones get together.my 23 premium doesn’t have any rattles .
@@RaitisRides Yes. It comes and goes and it actually stops when you hold down and put pressure on the screen. There’s actually a bunch of new S650 owners that are having the same issues ((Mustang 7G FORUM). Mine started making noise after putting 400 miles on it, some had it after 700 to a 1000 miles on it. Gonna have it checked on my first service.
Joe I love this blue, if would buy a mustang I would definitely get that color
I’m digging that color also the tires I’m also digging that
That’s so awesome to hear!
@@RaitisRides yes sir
I wish it was a Hatchback as this is the Same as my 2021 and the Rear Window is IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN THE insides due to the Deck plate behind the rear seat is too tight to have access to..
I’m new and I really like ford mustang yet I want one with a eco friendly yet can give better performance. So, What’s the difference between eco boost and high performance, they both 2.3L T, so which one is worth the performance and also fuel economy?
What is your advice for someone who is more into sports car not muscle cars. Fun to drive, better control and fun at corners - GT or EcoBoost?
For a first time Pony Car buyer this is a great buy. As is, this Ecosport is a VERY FAST CAR. This "bottom feeder" Stang is faster than my old 69 Mach 1 428cj that only got to 60 in 5.8 sec. And this one is 4.5??? All the speed anybody needs in my book.
Yes of course Joe & I'm planned to buy one.
I can see you in this one.
Joe, make a review on the Shelby Mach4X Hertz edition. I'm renting one next weekend.
Had an EcoBoost 4 Cyl. as a Rental. I thought it was a V8 at first, I was impressed with the exhaust tone and acceleration. When I checked under the hood I was surprised. The mileage was also impressive.
60 years of Mustang next year. Can’t wait. 🐎6️⃣0️⃣
Love my Ecoboost...2019!
That is so awesome to hear!
Anyone compared insurance costs in the different models? Anyone w excellent insurance ratings know?
The thing is, with the S650 platform Joe, I do like the rear-end of this a tad better than the S550. The biggest thing that I miss from that gwneration was the Darth Vader inspired front end. That was pretty bad ass. Another thing I noticed is that Atlas Blue looks similar to Apex Blue from Acura? Or is it just me?
It’s a little lighter
@RaitisRides I see it now. Oh, by the way, Joe, can we get an update on Lori's Bronco Wiltrak? It's been a hot minute.
The 2024 EB Mustang is very value priced as long as one shows discipline with the option list. And the EB is very quick and Ford seems to have improved its exhaust note.
i got the ‘19 ecoboost but this look tuff fr
I love dailying my velocity eco. Great car, wish I had a v8. Not enough sound. Sleeper though!
Can't wait for the "To the Door Panel" forearm tat
...that price rises an interesting question: would you choose it over a GolfR?
The Ecoboost Perf Pack has trans switches on the steering wheel.
You can get paddles with the EcoBoost, you just need the right package.
I rented an EcoBoost convertible in AZ last year. It had more than enough power for what it was. I just wish they offered a rental with a manual transmission. I honestly missed rowing through the gears more than not having the V8 noises and power. It's a shame the 24 EcoBoost doesn't offer a 6 speed.
I had a 2015 V6 Camaro, unfortunately some 18 year old who didn't know how to drive totaled it. Now I'm looking into an ecoboost because you get the style of a nice car, it's faster than a normal sedan, and it won't guzzle as much as my Camaro did
I currently have a 2014 Camaro V6 and I'm looking closely at this new Mustang as well. Still enough power but better on miles. Glad I'm not the only Camaro guy looking at Mustangs
@@ma0491 The ecoboost looks beautiful, especially if you add on some body kit options. I was also looking at the V4 Camaros with a body kit. But I was talking with Chevy and parts are so back ordered, this one dude is waiting 7 months for a taillight. Told me if I do end up getting one, don’t get in an accident lol
Had an 18' Ecoboost..., and still have a 2020 HPP Ecoboost... with 332 H.P. and it's rated for 5 seconds based on actual 0-60 times. There is NO WAY that at 315 H.P. the new one is 4.5 seconds 0-60, or a couple tenths slower than the new V-8 Joe. Please, be honest with us. Is it a better performer than the 2020 HPP???? Serious answer only please cause I highly doubt it...plus no hood vents is a donk too.
Nice pony car , great review as always 🎉
best salesmen on yt
Yes! This is the best S650 version. Unlike the S650 5.0s, the EcoBoost is an actually upgrade compared to the previous generation.
I’m not allowed to buy a manual anymore. That isn’t an upgrade for me.
@@TheModernPioneer It is if you want to go fast, that's an upgrade with an updated tune. The demographics are different as well. That said, the S650 as a whole is a big letdown. This is what happens when there is no competition.
@@ClickbaitMotorsports it is certainly faster, but I can purchase an aftermarket tune a lot cheaper than I can swap my entire transmission. And I like the S650 overall, but I agree it’s a let down in the aspect that it doesn’t separate itself enough from the previous generation. I feel no need to ever swap my S550 for an S650.
@@TheModernPioneer The S650 has a locked ECU. So no native tuning is available, unless a company gets licensing from Ford. Again, another downgrade and bad for consumers.
@@ClickbaitMotorsports I completely agree.
For 43k i would prefer a 2.0 supra looks way better.
That is another way you can go
I think the flat black on the back is a little high up on the body.
I honestly test drove one and fell in love with it and almost ordered one till I saw how much my insurance was gonna be😢
High insurance on an Ecoboost? My 5.0 Mustang costs only $60 a month to insure but it's my second car and I only drive it half time and only in the summer.
With the resurgence of inline-6 engines, it would have been cool to see Ford come out with a turbo i-6 engine for the Mustang.
I love my ecoboost!!!!
I'll take on of these for $28-$32k OTD. Not a penny more
Have you seen car prices lately
@@RaitisRides Yup, and the customer's wallet speaks at the end of the day 👌
Cheap skate
then you wont be taking one of these at all lol
This Mustang Ecoboost or Used 21’ Audi S5?
I would never get a Mustang but I'll get this one
Knew that fake vent was gonna get zonked 😂😂😂😂
You know me well
Laser beak and the cat cassette was ravage im old😂
4.5 seconds now? that is fast.
Hey you and Laurie are both Tall. I’m tall too. I love a mustang and am thinking of getting one . None of us are getting younger . How’s getting in and out of that bad boy ??
Easy as can be Daymon. Ford actually designed the opening of the door so an adult could get in easily with a helmet on.
I wonder why they didn't add paddles to these ?
Its very underrated
I think gonna keep my Ecoboost 2018 for a long, long time Leather interior, heat/cool seats, etc. Now I understand why the guy in the Ford Service want to buy my car. 43K is too much, IMO. That was the price of the GT back in 2018 (Ecoboost was around half of that price).
The only thing I dont like for the 2024 is: TOO MANY (and big) TOUCH SCREENS. I rather the analog dashboard than the screens. If would like screens, I would aim for a Tesla. But again, this is my opinion
If I was in a manual Mustang GT, I wouldn't want to race this EB Mustang from 0-60. Because I would lose unless I had a ton of grip.
how come this ecoboost has the 2 screens connected to eachother ?
premiums have the scream’s connected
43,000 is entirely too much. I'm sorry. Before I buy that I'd go on to use market and buy a 2015 V8 for 12 to 15 grand
Thanks for sharing your input for this one.
Agreed.
@@RaitisRides for sure loved the video Joe 💪🏾
i don’t understand where he got that price tag from, the MSRP is like $31,000
Can we expect a manual ecoboosts some day ?
I hope one day he gets to review a real Transformer
They are nice for sure but idk if I could ever do a Ecoboost, I need something with power.
You clearly haven't driven the new 2024 EcoBoost! 0- 60 in 4.5 seconds, that's why I bought one over to GT. The EcoBoost is fast the GT is insane
@@panglingaow Doesn’t if I’ve driven one or not, ecoboost are ass and you’re a little angry man that can’t handle someone’s opinion, guess what buddy your opinion or how you feel isn’t the only thing in this world.
@@panglingaow I’ve seen other comments you made, you’re saying you buy all these 😭 stop lying and actually go do something with your life.
@mystictk4149 I did you loser. I bought a 24 ecoboost. Now if you want to talk shit give me your address like a real man. Other than that shutup internet banger. Little bi*ch
43k for an ecoboost mustang........ This car should be in the high 20s, low 30's spec'd out better.
Wow have prices went up, I had a 2012 mustang v6 premium and don’t think I even paid 30k 💀
It’s not the performance package Joe 😢 still need that video
I'd like to put the V-6 Ecoboost twisted up to Ford GT specs under the hood of a 1970 Mustang. No badges, no stripes just a front and rear spoiler and suitable chassis mods.
Nice looking Mustang but they do have problems with the Ford Ecoboost engines due to the Turbocharger and oiling issues, much rather have naturally asperated American Muscle ! If I did buy one of these I would want to install an oil cooler and do regular oil changes about every 5000 miles which is ideal for any Turbo engine to help make it last for the long run.
I haven’t head about these issues
Must be a different ecoboost engine the only flaw with the gen 1 2.3 was head gasket and open deck block other than that it was solid
@@RaitisRides The most common issues on todays Ford Ecoboost engines are overheating, oil leaks, and turbocharger failure and the turbo failures are mostly due to a lack of good lubrication. Tons of videos on UA-cam about Ford ecoboost problems.
When you sit in, what will you see, the road or the hood and lcd screens lol.
That is so very true. Mostly screens though.
I think the eccoboost with the high-performance package would be a fun little sport car! My last mustang was a 2007 GT. This has more HP than that car.
What no manual transmission? 😔
You can get the last gen eco boost for less than 20k with a decent or even lower amount of miles
That is so very true
Hate the side stripe hate lol
Look Joe I understand Ford is trying to make up for all the standard software upgrade this new gen mustang brings but $43k for an eco boost is insane. This car is fun as I’ve driven it at work but damn, at that price you might as well reach for the V8.
Those wheels+that color=the cleanest S650 Mustang I've ever seen. All it needs is a V8 and factory spoiler in the rear.
