Nice video…love the gauges. My dad bought a 1967 Mustang 289 with 4-speed. I was 16 at the time. After a week, he took the car back and came home with another Mustang, this time a 6-cylinder with a 3-speed automatic. He decided the V8 was too fast and he didn’t want me to die. The 6-cylinder with 120 hp peaked out at 80 mph (85 if I removed the air cleaner). Must have been for the best….I’m still alive!
Sign me up Jacob! OK I can't right now, but I intend to some time this year. I love the retro gauges, just like the 68 that my Auntie had and I fell in love with. Happy Holidays to you and your family and racing mates!
The Ecoboost engine has a muffled sound due to the turbo so I am thinking that is why no noticeable difference. You can DEFINATELY hear the difference when checking the modes on the GT. 😁
Hey man question for you since you had an RS3 - on your 8Y RS3 if you want to do a roll on race. How do you keep it in 'S' mode but downshift to the correct gear to keep the power "on boil" but still have it auto-up shift the rest of the way? It only does it in D mode but not in S mode in Individual or RS Performance mode.
I agree with you . I just ordered a convertible in magenta And I’m in Florida . Good point . I think this color will pop . I’m so tired of grays and white I only like metallics .
My MSRP on my ecoboost was $44k😭 I paid a little less because of rebates but people said I over paid since I could’ve gotten a base GT for $45k. I just hated the interior of the base GT and the gas mileage sucked.
This automotive engineer's opinion... It sucks. If you are male, the color is gay but there are other colors available and that isn't the problem. The car is a whale. It doesn't have to be GR86 small, but as least lighten it 300-400 lbs and put it in the Z or Supra camp for size. The driveline sucks. Eco-boom is ok...certainly in power relative to displacement but the 10 speed auto trans calibration is 'horrid'. Any decent performance enthusiast that reviews this car hates the incessant hunting for gears, lurching, lack of staying in a gear etc aka a more linear relationship between RPM and gear ratio. Awful. On balance, its a pretty lousy car. Vague steering, bloated...a blob on wheels. V8 version is better. But get a clue Ford. Kill it and re-release it with a clean sheet redesign. Something like an affordable M2, Supra or Z car.
@@JVette01 If in search for a blueprint, I will posit the following. A GR86 with basic controls like it has now, a mostly analog car which enthusiasts prefer, 20% bigger than the 100 inch wheelbase current car, with a six or turbo 4. It would be similar to the original Datsun 240z but with modern tech. Chevy rightly killed the Camaro which was way overweight with no greenhouse. No doubt they are working on a lighter, more thoughtful replacement. Ford needs to do the same. Toyota is working on a new Celica which will fit this bill, if they don't f-up the driveline with a hybrid which is a pure money grab and why hybrids exist.
@@JVette01 Too small and underpowered. A girl's car. Why I suggested the above. Car to buy is the BMW M2. Why not? A V8 Mustang is $50K plus now. If looking for a 4 cyl turbo car on a budget, just get an Elantra N. Honda Type R is better but its $55K and not worth it. The Eco-boom Mustang is for a rube who doesn't have any performance instincts.

I love that color!! This is a beautiful car!! Hppy Holidays to you and your family!
You too! Happy Holidays!
I like the colour, although it isn’t one I’d choose. Good to see Mustang content again 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! I remember you from the comments of my old Mustang vids haha
Love the color I had a 73 mach one that I painted magenta

Thank you! Come see me when you’re ready ;)
Just picked up my dark horse so impressed over last gen
congrats!
Love that Ford provides those traditional analog gauges in digital form, I really hope BMW can follow that...
Yeah it's a cool feature!
How reliable is the engine, 2.3T? 200,000 miles?
If you take good care of it and do the proper maintenance, sure!
Does the 2025 Base Ecoboost have those gauge clusters?
Yes, it’s just not connected

What id do is shift it to the correct gear, then once floored, click the shifter back once and it will be in auto shift mode and S.
Oh man, why didn’t I think to do that?! You’re the man! Thanks for that and awesome vids. Love the roll racing content in general.
Thanks for the support!
Content note: They deleted the wireless charging for 2025. Not entirely sure why but kind of a bummer to not have wireless charging.
Thank you for informing me on this!
I could see this color working in California, Florida, or Hawaii, but not really in any of the other states.

@@JC-bc1zk It's definitely a color for places with lots of sunshine and warm weather! Enjoy!

Base model muscle cars have never been super amazing. The closest to what you’re talking about would be maybe a v6/4cyl camaro..

Or just get the gr86 the way it is since it seems like what you’re looking for.

@@lukewalker1051 I have an M2 so I agree it's a great car... but I don't expect a Mustang ecoboost that's half the price to be like my M2
