At the moment, this the best sounding Suzuki, thanks to the new leslie simulation (according to what they told this is still to be implemented into the SK pro and XK5). Also, tweaking the overdrive parameters, everything can sound drastically different (expecially the frequencies crossover). Many other parameters allow you to change the entire character of the instrument, such as the preamp tone control gain and the matching trasformer 👍
Good for the gigging all in one sounds player. I don't think it would sway my first purchase choice of the XK-5 model which is Hammond's dedicated B3 laid out clone equivalent in a modern, lightweight digital and portable dual manual organ.
I got mine in May. Love the sound of it, but I think a Leslie Cabinet will make it sound better. I'm hoping to get a cabinet for xmas of this year. The organ on my Yamaha Montage sounds much better.
After 5 weeks I can say great. I have Hal’s Setup, which brings the highs in the highest octave down. Only the keyclick is too strong on the lowest level.
I would like to hear it without all the distortion on. You can't really hear the character of the sound. Is it significantly better sound engine that the SK2 ? And is the top octave any less thin?
👀 I hear that one. I've sometimes wondered why keyboard manufacturers don't offer an option to plug in a tablet or laptop to enlarge what's on their tiny screens. 💻
@@stevec.1802 .. or even better, ditch the whole screen. have a good desktop app to tweak and save stuff at home and when you go out to play, you have a keyboard, that's all. I don't need a tiny computer on stage.
Thanks Nick What are the keybeds like for piano? Are the keybeds exactly the same as the XK5? Is the build quality as good as the XK5? Are the synthesised sounds on a par with Roland or Korg?
Keybed is nice, very positive. Feels different to the XK5 tho. Probably more tuned to the pianist I think. Build quality looks okay, some plasticky bits but on the whole same as the XK5 I reckon. Synthesised sounds are pretty great. Very Roland to my ears.
I’ve an sk2 as as usual with Hammond the piano sound is god awful, I ended up getting a Nord because the piano patch on the sk (as this one as well) sounds like a cheap Casio from 1985..absolutely hated it, unplayable for me, not even as good as an old Yamaha p60, please tell me we can at least load in our own piano patch with this one? Or are ham and locking us to their trash piano?

This is the best Hammond at the moment, absolutly high end product, a flagship gear. Nick Foley: "oh okay, not bad"
Hey Nick. The recess on the back just a handle I think.
Cheers, you are right.

You like the organ better on the Montage or the Leslie fx-Thanks!
Спасибо за углублённую демонстрацию звука HAMMOND Skx pro!
No problem
Greetings Mr Foley will you please Sir if you can find one. Do an overview of the Hammond SK-2 please.

I didn’t feel it was significantly better to be honest

Nick is the Man
Non riesco a capire lla vera tonalità che emette. E' molto differente dal XK5? certamente il distorsore si ma il resto lo è?
Haha, old man clicking through options on a tiny display, I feel you. I would need my reading glasses on stage. Why, Hammond, why ? Thanks Nick !

Thanks! I have to ask-How do you like the top octave(Organ)?
Better than I thought I would. Not bad. Through the Leslie
@@nickfoleyuk thank you for the fast response sir. Your Leslie sounds fantastic. To me the organs are so one dimensional without it-Thanks again!

No bass pedalboard option?
You have to buy it separately and it plugs in through midi
playing piano on the Hammond looks strange... but it's a good option for touring instrument
What stand would be best for this keyboard? I want the most stability I can get. Thanks!
That’s a good question. I always go for Hercules stands but Hammond do a nice bench stand too
@@nickfoleyuk thanks!
@@nickfoleyukWould the keyboard work with any midi pedalboard? Or does it have to be Hammond? Thanks!
@@jonahpierce3523 good question. Not had personal experience but I’m sure any midi pedals would work.

I don’t think we can load-in I’m afraid
Got more info from the back of a box of cornflakes than this video
This is a poor presentation. He's uninformed about this gear.
He thinks the slot at the back is for expansion!
Nick is actually a cool guy, and I like his reviews because he approaches everything as a genuine rock organ player.
most of his videos are the same made worse by very messy playing of basic blues scale clearly knows very little about this instrument …….

Nothing played in the top octave. It is still to thin. The presentation is only rock sound. Is this instrument only for rock and roll players?
No I think not. I’m a rock player so I play rock. I think it would be excellent for session musicians and jazz players in particular
aka the... Hammond Skunks Pro. 😅👍 (sorry, seemed to obvious)
My God he’s Terrible
Do you know some other scales.?...Your "DEMO" sucks....
