I wear sunscreen on my face and body 365 days/year, any day the sun rises in the East! Even in winter, when I am wearing multiple layers and the UV is much lower--because sometimes I get hot and scrunch up my sleeves or take off my sweater. I wish the manufacturers would make and stores would stock more 2-in-1 type moisturizing sunscreens all year round, not just in the summer. I like to put some on as soon as I get out of the shower in the morning, and in winter I'm not looking for a water-resistant thick mineral sunscreen paste to wear under my clothes. Lubriderm used to have a nice one--even if it was only SPF 15--but it looks like they stopped making it. Eucerin has a good one now, though the new SPF 30 one is thicker and takes a lot more time to rub into the skin, which is an annoyance when you're already late for work! We should be wearing sunscreen any day our skin is exposed to sun--and not just on our faces. So I wish manufacturers would get on board with the idea of everyday sunscreens--even if they're only SPF 30--that we can wear on days we're not spending hours in the sun.
My vote is the for the liter bottle of Altruist. Undefeated in my mind (both price and performance). Feels like any basic lotion (NOT at all sticky) and works like a charm in the most intense situations.
Try the LRP Anthelios XL Wet Skin (250ml). My dermatologist told me to use it while I’m on accutane and beyond. It hasn’t broken me out, but i don’t know if it’s because accutane has fixed my skin. It’s also cost effective
My favorite brands that you can buy in Germany: -Ladival, the one for sun allergy prone skin. I never get sun allergy when I use it. Never. - V.Sun, the pink one. It feels like normal bodylotion and has a really nice smell. I love that one for everyday
I remember you talking about the Coppertone complete sunscreen, which I previously wouldn't have considered due to the alcohol but thanks to you I picked it up and I love it! It has a mild but (to me) non-irritating scent and it applies very quickly and feels lightweight and it's not drying at all and not sticky. It's been on sale various places as well with attached coupons so you may be able to find a 7 oz bottle for about $6 USD.
I literally was just thinking about body sunscreens and looking on Amazon minutes ago and get on here to see you JUST posted a body sunscreen video. Omg what are the chances!!
Love love LOVE the new Eucerin body sunscreen! I bought it on a whim in Florida and it kept my dry skin hydrated and protected! I usually always burn even with reapplication, but not with this one, just a tad bit on my shoulders (I usually burn a little no matter what sadly). I’ve also been enjoying the new Cetaphil mineral sunscreen for the face, especially under makeup.
I literally have the Eucerin bottle sitting on my desk next to my mouse haha. I honestly have a problem with it being greasy. Maybe I'm putting on too much but it struggles to absorb into my face and body unless they are SUPER dry, like desert dry. If i keep rubbing in then it eventually dries, but even when I put it on my legs/arms I still have white residue getting all ver anywhere I sit/touch. I will say, I do like how it feels on part of my skin that are very dry, and I don't really think it feels bad. However, due to the greasiness I experience, I find it runs into my eyes easily.
I find this to be the case with many Eucerin products, despite loving the brand overall in terms of quality and affordability. I have this problem with a lot of their body moisturizers in particular that I’ve used at night after a shower. They tend to leave a greasy film on my skin and it makes me feel like a literal slug lol. I don’t know if I’m just using too much either, but nonetheless they tend to feel like they don’t fully absorb and just kind of sit on my skin. I do use their Daily Hydration SPF 30 on my body though (several repurchases!) and it’s one of very few body lotions that do dry down enough to the point that it isn’t bothersome. It’s basically a staple for me.
La Roche Posey spf 100 !!! In love with it. I think it is helping with my PIE to protect them from sun and heal quicker. I switch between this and eucerin age defense and black girl sunscreen kids version. Thank you Dr. Dray!!!! I will try bondi sands as body sunscreen!!
I love the Bondi Sands both face and body and they are my holy grail go to outside days sunscreens. I live in Australia and this brand is gold. No eye sting no skin irritation or reaction on my dry sensitive skin….cruelty free and Australian company. I’ve stopped trying other sunscreens now I’ve found these, and they do go on sale at up to 5O % off at times and buy up…..We have a 500ml pump bottle available in Australia which is much better value
Hi Dr Dray, thank you for vlogging your Paris trip, I enjoyed it so much. Do you plan on doing more travel vlogs? You did a great job. It was very detailed, honest and your humor had me cracking up. You did great at making it feel like we were there too. I enjoyed seeing everything from the start, middle and end. I hope you will do more traveling. 🙂
The Eucerin I use is the Sensitive Mineral zinc oxide protection. It doesn't irritate my skin or eyes. Feels a tad thicker than facial moisturizer but it doesn't irritate, isn't sticky or greasy, and it's 50 SPF. I just apply it over my moisturizer when it comes to my face. The white cast does seem to sink in or mostly disappear after about 15 or 20 minutes so I don't look weird---maybe a bit pale though. Heh
Appreciate this Dr Dray. I'm someone who likes trying new products and switching up skin care. Even though I have a body sunscreen I'm using that I like, I definitely will be trying at least one of these. I think the first one is going to be Bondi Sands. Several people in the comments seem to really like that one. Happy Tuesday! I hope you have a tranquil evening. 💗
Thank you so much Dr. Dray! I've been wanting to try out more affordable sunscreens with higher spf but majority of the drugstore brands give me a white cast so I've been trying to invest in Paula's choice ever since my favorite sunscreen got discontinued (which does the job but if I try to layer a bunch on or wear it until the evening, it can really sting the eyes and can look quite embarrassing when i'm around people). I bought another bottle recently but I'm really excited to try the others you recommended now when i'm running low!
My favorite body sunscreen is actually UPF clothing! I am soooo happy with these super lightweight hoodies from Baleaf that I got on Amazon. Of course there are still times when your skin is exposed and you need sunscreen, but these hoodies have saved me so much on body sunscreen! And they’re so lightweight that I’m comfortable wearing them even in North Carolina heat and humidity!
I feel the same way. UPF tops can pay for themselves in a season by saving $$ on sunscreen. Still use sunscreen on the rest of the body but not having to purchase as often.
I have been using Bare Republic's vanilla coconut mineral sunscreen for the body. I know you stay away from fragrance but I love the summer scent and it makes me apply it more tbh
Thank you for clearly specifying what type of body sunscreens (mineral, water-resistant, etc) they all are. They are all water resistant except the Josie Maran one. I like the Bondi Sands one a lot.
I love the Eucerin Advanced hydration. I have older, wiser skin and this product if very moisturizing! I use it on my face and body. I have been comparing it to La Roche Posay melt in sunscreen, and I have to say Eucerin is as good if not better. The price point is definitely better. Thanks for all the recommendations.
Great review. Would you consider doing a “beach test” for body sunscreens? I live coastal (New England) and am always looking for a sunscreen that dries super-fast and also, when dry, sand doesn’t stick to! I’m also wondering if salt water swimming degrades effectiveness of sunscreens - is there any research on that? Just looking, like so many who swim exclusively in the ocean, for the best beach sunscreen. Thanks!
Try some body SPF for kids (for example Garnier ambre solaire sun water resistant spf50 100ml in orange tube with Nemo on the front or something from Nivea). They are usually very stable, sand and water resistant and not sticky
My husband LOVES the Eucerin Advanced Hydration sunscreen for body AND face which we got on YOUR recommendation 😊. Yet another way that you have helped me and my family. How much do you rock, Dr. Dray!!!
Dr Dray, I need a better sunscreen for my face. I use Bondi Sands, Drmtlgy, and CVS Clear Zinc. I love them all, but: 1. In humid/super hot/active conditions, BSands makes my face sweat like crazy! And I seem to look redder/flushed... like my skin can't breathe. I use this one religiously, especially for reapplication. I love it on my body, but I feel so greasy/sweaty in the face when I'm active or when it's hot/humid outside. 2. DRMTLGY can be extremely drying and stings my eyes, unfortunately. The crevices around my nose start to peel. Reapplication of BSands helps a ton, except for the issues mentioned above. 3. I really love using the CVS Clear Zinc on my face as a base layer. It keeps me cool and mostly dry. However, the reapplication process is kind of a nightmare. I can't use it over and over or I'll look like a ghost in the face. I also have to spread this on my neck/chest to match my skin color lol. So again, I use BSands for reapplication, but the issues in hot/humid conditions persist. 😢 I have neutral/olive skintone, and don't mind the minor white cast. However, reapplying combo or mineral sunscreens start to look bad on me, even though I love how it makes me feel cool. The Bondi Sands, on the other hand, makes me feel like a grease pan. What should I do The only sunscreen that has felt amazing on me is the Super Water Gel Nivea spf50. But it's only +++. Help!
Thanks for the reviews and demos. It's always great to see how these sunscreens look when applied to the skin. :-) Due to my sensitive skin I need to use mineral only so this was very helpful. :)
Bondi sands is my favourite everyday face sunscreen, here in Australia we can get the big 500ml pump version for like $20 aud and nothing compares to it. Honestly it makes me want to apply more and more
I've been using the Eucerin Advanced Hydration 50 w/ AOX shield. It's the "lotion spray". It is lighter coverage in my opinion. I really have to layer this one on, but I do enjoy how it feels on the skin and it does not irritate my daughter's very sensitive, fair skin. Edit to say: I spray this on and then rub it in. Conversely, I also tried the La Roche Posay melt-in and it did indeed irritate and break out my skin. I returned this product. Note: I live in North Texas.
I'm with you...Eucerin please! I love this one for my body, but I love, love the Eucerin for the face (oil control). Both are great choices ! Thank you !! :-) Catcha tomorrow, Doc ! P.S. I see you rockin' that yellow polish, very Happy color
Thank you, Dr. Dray! This is very timely, indeed. I am trying to swim laps everyday, and sometimes that means during the day when the pool is not in the shade. Few if any reviewers discuss body sunscreens for use when actually swimming, rather than just splashing a little. Last summer I tried a lot of sunscreens 50 and up, and I still gained more freckles and color (not wanted). I have some suits that are UPF, but those with sleeves are not that comfortable for lap swims. I have been using water polo suits with good results. Sunscreen does stain swimsuits, though. Thanks again and enjoy swimming...it is a good addition to your running.
I honestly think La Roche Posay make the BEST sunscreens, hands down. I Changed onto their invisible factor 50+ for my face and have never looked back. They just understand the assignment perfectly!
So I follow Dr V who specializes in skin of color and she has a zero tolerance on skin irritants and she pushes in mineral sunscreens, she also has her own line which are great products but she live in the UK and it makes her line products very much expensive. I’ve pretty much tried to search high and low looking for sunscreen that won’t stain my clothes and furniture but also accommodates my skin type. I’ve been actively avoiding the actives that are considered toxic, so I’ve been avoiding chemical sunscreens but honestly I have come to give up on my search for my mineral sunscreen holy grail. Thanks for the recommendations I really will just look into these products instead. They are within good reach and prices and will provide with daily/season conditions.
Love the bondi sands sunscreen, just can’t wear it on my face. It makes my eyes sting so much. I’ve been enjoying the avene intense protect spf 50 this summer and find it quite effective even in the pool.
This is a timely video for me. I teach water fitness classes at an outdoor pool. Yesterday, the manager told me that sunscreens are affecting the pool filters. The club would like us to shower to remove sunscreens before entering the pool. Hopefully, water resistant sunscreens will stay on the skin after a quick shower so we can still be protected. I can’t imagine being in the pool without the protection of sunscreen.
Hi Dr Dray, loved this video! I know you've made videos about eczema on the face before, but I'm really struggling to find a sunscreen that won't irritate my face and cause flare ups. I'd love an updated video on products you'd recommend to handle the flare ups! I'm already seeing a derm but it'd be awesome to get an idea of what I could get on my own to help

I use the fragrance free version of the Neutrogena as well, but just in case anyone is curious Target & cvs also have their own version of the Neutrogena body oil (scented). My husband also uses the oil to remove sunscreen & I also use it on my kids.
I always love your recommendations and information, I just wish we could find some of these products in Canada :( Some we can find here but sometimes there's a good one that is only in the USA.
Can you do a video on the best sunscreens for the face? The ones that you've recommended that I have tried all get in my eyes and burn so bad when i'm in the ocean (I live in Hawaii so a daily activity). Can you share a sunscreen that doesn't burn your eyes when in the water? Thank you in advance :)
Dr. Even though I use sunscreens daily I am skeptical of them. How can I prove they work? My skin does not change color unless I’m at the beach (never). As a result I don’t trust the SPF levels and even the expiration dates since I can’t tell any difference. Now you tell me to wear it INSIDE the house… do you understand my point of view? Thanks
I really appreciate this video. But I do have two questions. My 17-year-old plays competitive and varsity baseball and then football in the offseason. So he has games and camps all the time. He spends lots of time in the sun. This season he has moved to the Cerave Mineral Sunblock 30 SPF full spectrum. He loves it and his skin looks like the sun has not touched it when he uses it. So it works well. He also has Type 1 Diabetes and has irritation on his skin where the adhesive for his Omnipod insulin pump and Dexcom G6 are on his belly or upper arms. Is there something he can do to try and protect the skin so it does not get irritated? Also, he has very dry skin and has trouble finding things that help with the itch and dryness. Thank you to anyone who can make some suggestions to help. Oh, and he usually uses Cerave body butter to help with the dry skin.
I am on a hunt for sunscreen today. My choices are slim in my country, but I have been using the Neutrogena Sensitive skin for face and whatever on my body. Well, there seems to be a shortage of Sunscreen here. I am going to check out one more pharmacy. Hopefully I will find something suitable. I have to wear water resistant products
I'm loving littllextra riceberry sunscreen right now and I'm a fan. I can apply a generous coat without feeling uncomfortable. It do not sting the eyes or taste bad if sweat gets into my eyes or mouth. The price is quite affordable compared to other facial sunscreens. For reference, I have mostly normal skin, slightly oily on my nose and chin, and somewhat prone to acne unless I'm diligent with my skincare. I've been using it for 30 days and haven't had any breakouts or even an isolated large zit, so it's definitely not clogging my pores.
Love your videos. They are very informative. I wanted to know if you ever have or would review the Supergoop glow screen sunscreen? I know it’s very popular and wanted to try but wanted to know more ab it from a dermatologist. Thank you.

Feels like any basic lotion (NOT at all sticky) and works like a charm in the most intense situations.
interesting, I think I'm give Altruist a try soon. But I'm in the US so no matter which quantity I get I'll have to pay a lot lol
@@moisdawg I live in US too. It's inexpensive on Amazon uk even with the shipping charges. :)
It's sold out :(
@@Laura-dn4nw Keep an eye out. They'll restock. :)
I don’t like the La Roche Posay Milk. It’s too heavy for my face & I breakout every time I use it. I’ll stick to my Japanese sunscreens for face.😕
Try the LRP Anthelios XL Wet Skin (250ml). My dermatologist told me to use it while I’m on accutane and beyond. It hasn’t broken me out, but i don’t know if it’s because accutane has fixed my skin. It’s also cost effective
My favorite brands that you can buy in Germany:
-Ladival, the one for sun allergy prone skin.
Omg I love this sunscreen so much I was sad when I realized how close to the top denatured alcohol was but Dr Dray made me feel a lot better about it
I literally was just thinking about body sunscreens and looking on Amazon minutes ago and get on here to see you JUST posted a body sunscreen video.
I have the same feeling about the la Roche posay SPF 100 which she said was light and not occlusive.
i agree i find the eucerin one to be sooo greasy im surprised she said it isnt
@@thepicklegambit I've had the same experience with the eucerin daily hydration. Just stings my eyes sadly but I wish it would work on my face too.
Ugh, I hate when the white residue gets all over your clothes and furniture. And car interiors!
Please do a sunscreen for the beard video! Always so hard to rub in and also not look greasy!
Thank you for this body sunscreen review and recommendations, Dr. Dray! 😊💖
My pleasure!!
Heh
Same thoughts! And also use it on the face after moisturizing
I find the Eucerin one has a very lightweight, easy to spread consistency.
Great job with the b-roll! The side by side comparisons were so helpful 😊
The avène intense protect is awesome on the body. I really want to try the Eucerin hydrating chemical one - thanks for sharing Dray!
Just what I needed as I get ready to go to the beach. You’re the best Andrea!!
Yay! Thank you!
thanks for watching
Thank you so much Dr. Dray! I've been wanting to try out more affordable sunscreens with higher spf but majority of the drugstore brands give me a white cast so I've been trying to invest in Paula's choice ever since my favorite sunscreen got discontinued (which does the job but if I try to layer a bunch on or wear it until the evening, it can really sting the eyes and can look quite embarrassing when i'm around people). I bought another bottle recently but I'm really excited to try the others you recommended now when i'm running low!
Yay! Sunscreens! Please, keep these videos coming, Dr. Dray. Would you consider doing a video of store brand sunscreens?
Happy Tuesday!
I tried this but it left a very white cast on me. Does it do that do you?
@@gaylelynch6839 It does leave a cast, however I am extremely fair skinned and it blends in after a bit
finally! everyone has only been reviewing face sunscreens… thank you!:)
I recently tried the Australian Gold Ultimate Hydration SPF 50. Highly recommended, it’s so hydrating and leaves the skin looking beautiful!
Hey Dr Dray, the ingredient list is the same for Eucerin Sensitive and Eucerin Baby sunscreen.
Hi Dr. Dray how about you do another video about Korean or Japanese sunscreen? thank you so much !!!
Thanks!
I recommend Banana Boat SPF 50 Light as Air! I don’t like the fragrance at all, but it is water-resistant and dries quickly to a dry touch.
@@StandUserGuts Thank you! 🏝☀️
Try some body SPF for kids (for example Garnier ambre solaire sun water resistant spf50 100ml in orange tube with Nemo on the front or something from Nivea). They are usually very stable, sand and water resistant and not sticky

Thank you!
I love the bondi sand one. I saw you reccomend it and I have been loving it plus the price is great $13 at Walgreens
I love them all, but:
I have neutral/olive skintone, and don't mind the minor white cast. Help!
Love the B Rolls Dr dray!!
thanks
👱♀️❤
Thanks for the reviews and demos. It's always great to see how these sunscreens look when applied to the skin. :-) Due to my sensitive skin I need to use mineral only so this was very helpful. :)
She is fabulous!!!…. I’m sorry but I couldn’t help but looking at your Siamese profile picture. I LOVEEE Siamese cats, I also have one.
@@ClaudiaMCBender I've had many cats during my lifetime but Siamese' hold a very special place in my heart. :)

Bondi sands is my favourite everyday face sunscreen, here in Australia we can get the big 500ml pump version for like $20 aud and nothing compares to it. Honestly it makes me want to apply more and more
I love this sunscreen! Wish we would could get the pump version here in the states.
I normally buy Ombrelle sunscreen. What is your opinion on this one?
Just started the video but love the eucerin chemical spray. It dosent smell like sunscreen to me and the spray helps apply before rubbing it in
Thank you, Dr.
The eucerin hyaluronic acid one is awesome! A bit sticky but that's for the water resistance.
They are within good reach and prices and will provide with daily/season conditions.
you should try the banana boat light as air sunscreen! It's amazing and cheap
Thank you for reviewing the Josie Maran sunscreen. I love many of her products and was very curious about this one. I will pass on it.
Try the Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46. I have facial eczema and it never irritates my skin. 👍
@@sheltieluv11 Thank you so much! I'll give it a try :) I have heard it's good but I'm so scared for my skin hahaha
I agree regarding the Eucerin mineral sunscreen I discovered it last week it was so happy!
Hi Dr Dray, Hailey Bieber has just dropped her new skincare line would be grateful if you could test this out at some point or review the ingredients to see if it’s worth the hype! Much love xxx
Good for you for going to the pool, Dr. Dray! That’s great👙🏊🏻♀️! I just purchased the CoTz flawless complexion sunscreen you have covered in your videos and I LOVE it so far! ☺️
Just by the tittle (haven’t watched it yet) I want to say thank you! This was the exact video I was looking for.
Hello Dr. Dray, can you recommend any body sunscreens that do not stain clothes? Thank you!
Can you do an update video on mature skin? I’m looking to purchase some skincare and I’m developing some age spots. Any recommendations?
Yesss sunscreen videos are always my favorite ❤️
Thanks for watching
Should I wear sunscreen on legs and arms if I'm indoor all day?

Thanks for this video!!! But question: what is best for the face for a hot, humid area? Mine makes me sweat SO bad!! Thanks.
I’m always thankful for your reviews on sunscreen. I recently started using Eucerin sunscreen & I love it.
Thanks
Agree, however the only proof I see is her skin. But sun damage is real and proven, so need to trust.
I'll try the Eucerin one since you can apply to face and body. Tired of carrying two sunscreens. Thank you for the video
Do you prefer ponds cold cream or Neutrogena body oil for removing spf/double cleansing. Thank you 😊
Hi Dr Dray, can water-resistant sunscreen be used daily?
Hi doc, how does Eucerin spf50 compares to their daily hydration spf30 cream?
I'm Australian and love the LaRoche Posay Anthelios sunscreen. It doesn't have a cast so I use it on my face as well.
I have to wear water resistant products
wow that's the video I was waiting for ty
Is there anyone whose protection remains strong if exposed to water? Please advise!
Love the recommendations! Which one are you most comfortable wearing on your face? Face sunscreens can just add up so fast $$$ when you use enough!!
Perfect timing. The weather here in the Midwest is in the 90s now! Thanks Dr. Dray, happy Tuesday! 🌞
Try banana boat spf 100 sport, super tenacious!
Love your videos. They are very informative. I wanted to know if you ever have or would review the Supergoop glow screen sunscreen? I know it’s very popular and wanted to try but wanted to know more ab it from a dermatologist. Thank you.
Will be giving the LaRoche Posay sunscreen milk for the body a try. I gave the facial version a go & it spread nicely & left no white cast or shininess.
Dr Dray please can you review a couple of US sunscreens? Theraderm SPF 43 and Zealios SPFs 45 and 50. 🌞🌞🌞🌞
Hi Dr. Dray! This is unrelated but can you do a review on the Medicube EMS device? And EMS in general? EMS has been getting more and more coverage in Asia
I do love the La Roche Posay melt in 100 for gardening. It is lightweight and doesn’t make me feel suffocated when it’s so dang hot out. But it’s getting hard to find. I just picked up the Banana Boat light as air to try. Have you used it?
Gotta do my daily check in to get the best info on skin care, especially sunscreen reviews. I have been using a local body sunscreen called Hawaiian Blend. It is a reef safe chemical, lightweight, hydrating, 80 min water resistant sunscreen that comes in fragrance free version. I live in Hawaii and because I use so much sunscreen I need it to be cost effective. Here you can get a 6.8 oz bottle for 10.99 at Longs (CVS) but a bit more at Target. Anyone coming to the islands this summer may want to check it out.
Is the avene intense protect still in your list? That one sounds interesting for me
Yes! I love it, but can be difficult to get here
ooh so excited to check out the bathing suits
Hi Dr. Dray, I saw an old video of yours where you recommended a European sunscreen for people with sun allergy, but I can't find it. Can you share again which sunscreen you recommend for sun allergy?
