As a subscriber for a few years, I enjoy whatever content that you provide. As far as going forward, I wouldn’t delete the existing videos however, maybe a renaming or a rebranding of the channel to include things like military, finance, food, cooking whatever videos you want to make while at a minimum breaking even monetarily would be appreciated. We enjoy what you do and your take on the content. Hope you find a way to continue that works for you! Thanks as always for sharing.
Please don't delete your old content. I have been watching for about 4 years and I enjoy the reviews. I fully concur that running this channel at a net loss is counter-productive. Your right about those MRE's being unhealthy, but also a saturated YT market. I enjoyed your presentations along with Phil and Amanda. You seem to have a keen interest in MRE's. Maybe branch off into DIY MRE's, cooking, MRE history, interviews with the makers at Sopacko, Warnick, or Mountain House.
Always enjoy your mre videos. Hoping you don't delete them cause I still watch them along with a few others but I understand you gotta do what's best for yourself. Good luck bud.

Broski, I love your channel because you play it real. I've followed you (somewhat quietly) for a couple years and enjoy the rations, but I dig what you're saying. You do what brings you joy (and puts supper on the table). I have no algorithm advice (I use my channel to share dog videos to my mom, that's it), so I think you'll make better choices than I could. Miss you, but glad you're gonna stay alive!
An idea which ive seen people suggest on other channels is, to show how you would put an MRE together yourself. Since there are a lot of options, it might give some content for a few videos (single meal ration, 24h ration and so on). It should be way cheaper too. And you could even make some special versions since you say you dont want sugar f.e. so you could make one which has no sugar or very little in it. Not sure if you are into that stuff, but you could even show how to use them outside like on a camping trip.
Sad to see you go. I live in Australia & as a girl, apart from Steve1989MRE, you are the only two who do this stuff I watch. So thank you for all the videos you've done for us.
Please dont delete the videos on this channel. Ive enjoyed it and it's been educational. Sorry, I don't have any advice as to what to do with this channel going forward. I'm glad you're feeling better after cutting out wheat and sugar, but it does make it difficult to sample MRE's.
Nathan's MRE is one of my favorite UA-cam channels. That being said your livelyhood and especially health are the most important factors here. Seeing you shut it down will be tragic but understandable. Please keep up the old videos and maybe in the future things will change and MRE can return. Continued success on your other channels. As a subscriber since nearly the beginning I understand your decision and I´m rather surprised it comes so late. I did expect that to happen one or two years ago. All I can say is thank you for all the work you put into this channel. I did enjoy it very much. About the future of the channel, I agree with some people here - either doing occasional videos here and there about stuff you like and doesn´t fit into any other of your channels (of course renaming it) but I wouldn´t delete the videos if there´s no monetary or legal concern about them staying up.

I just discoveted your videos. I watched a couple of specific ration ones abd then found this video. After watching a few, i was really curious about what made you start an MRE review channel in particular? Im only asking because in the others ive watched, especially Steve1989, they all seem to have a genuine interest and excitement about the topic. And that exuberance, and the knowledge it encourages, comes through in their videos. When i watch yours, it feels almost like watching someone who has gone to work, punched in, and their job is opening military rations in front of a camera. I dont really feel like i learned anything, there's no excutement or anticipation, just.... here ya go. Im not at all saying you arent interested ir passionate, just that it didnt come through your videos for me. Good luck on your other endeavors, you're certainly have a good work ethic!

UA-cam as a business has done its absolute damnedest to kill off the smaller channels, whether lack of promotion, poor payments, or just kicking the videos down the ranks for words said in it despite other bigger channels doing the same, but somehow they get all the good stuff, it's sad, cos so many decent channels have gone purely because youtube just doesn't pay the bills, and they gave up because it's not worth it... :(

Although I haven't subscribed to your channel, I do find it interesting, what with all the different MRES you taste test. And I agree with you on not consuming the entire thing. But,that may be the one drawback to doing a channel like this, I personally have dozens of MRES for personal use for emergencies only.

You are right. The algorithm drove you out of my rotation, along with Steve and the other folks. UA-cam has changed and quite honestly it sucks poo through a straw. Sorry this where you are at. Maybe team up with BRCC or Angry Cops or other vets, like Nikko Ortiz, do some guest reviews of other rations by veterans? Love your stuff, it's great information. I will keep watching for changes

I have watched almost all of the 400 mre videos and love the other channel. When i follow a creater it because I like watching them with so many different topics. So anything you put out Ill keep watching. Finance is something many could learn from. Thanks for all you do
Hi Nathan. Art and I totally understand your decision. I'm sure YT was instructed by the Government to throttle down on the MRE channels. Did you see where DSL announced that they will no longer ship any items that say "military" on them? Change the channel name away from MRE so the algorithm will leave you alone. I agree with you re: changing the channel. Might I suggest you continue with the financial direction and present the information in as simplified format as possible. That should (hopefully) keep most of your audience. Also, if you upload daily shorts from your financial videos, that will help push the channel to a new audience. Switch the channel and keep going!

I did notice that when I type in MRE all these other channels come up. I had to physical type the channel name. I would leave up old videos but definitely rename channel. I really like the finance videos . Nathan Opinion is the name My Daughter and I came up with. This way you could try and see what videos do best. Gaming , product testing, reaction videos, group videos are doing well. Podcast channels seem to be the ones doing the best so far. Good luck .
Understand the feeling, I was just put on hbp meds. You have to look out for number one. Really enjoyed your videos over the years. UA-cam has gone crazy changing up everything. A lot of people I subscribed to just get deleted from my list. Leave up all the old ones. Maybe things will turn around or someone will come up with a replacement for UA-cam. With this new format I think they are going to lose a lot of content makers and viewers. So do what you need to for your health.

Be like hey this is how your 401k works and these are some of the better funds out there and for our snack Today we're having this russian cold weather mre lol. If you can't eat,buy or import them, then start making them the mylar pouches and dehydrator and pressure cooker is all you need plus in the future food will be hard to find.
I've been watching these vids from the beginning and I've learned alot. If you do end up calling it quits I'm sure everyone will understand that it's just not sustainable. Just think of all the knowledge you shared with people from around the world when it comes to military rations.
I appreciate your candor and honesty. YT is a fickle beast. Do what you want to do at the end of the day you do not owe the community anything. But, please do not remove the existing content.
I have been a subscriber for about 5 years. I really enjoyed the reviews. I enjoy re-watching videos. Now when I go to the local surplus stores I buy mres. I recently got 2 cases of rations for $50.00. I also got 5 MCW's at $20.00 each. I know there are a few channels I watch that I don't get a notification for. About 3 weeks ago I was unsubscribed from 5 channels by UA-cam. They are all military and gun related. I know Corporal's Corner views are sacked by UA-cam and he sends a email every time he posts a video. I will be sorry too see the reviews going away but you have to do what's best for you. I would keep the channel up. I know alot of us will re-watch videos.

Maybe create a new channel, but use this channel as just an archive so people can always enjoy them. Maybe create a new channel that is focused on meeting the UA-cam criteria. Long time listener, first time caller here. I have enjoyed many of your videos. I was wondering why you started adding the financial content; it seemed a little strange, but it was great info. It caught me out of left field because it wasn't your usual MRE content. I would love this channel to stick around. Sprinkle in whatever content catches your fancy. (It IS your channel. 😁) I know that's not helpful, but I just wanted to let you know you make good content.👍👍
I suggest to maybe do tactical survival tools and gear because you can sell them on when you finish with them and maybe doing the odd mre now and then
Might consider doing straight food reviews or e gaming because that seems to be the only thing making money right now.
I have watched almost all of the 400 mre videos and love the other channel. When i follow a creater it because I like watching them with so many different topics. So anything you put out Ill keep watching. Finance is something many could learn from. Thanks for all you do
I like the finance stuff and the MRE stuff, Im into both. Gold, silver, MREs. All that is backup security really if it comes down to it.
Hi Nathan. Art and I totally understand your decision. I'm sure YT was instructed by the Government to throttle down on the MRE channels. Did you see where DSL announced that they will no longer ship any items that say "military" on them?
Change the channel name away from MRE so the algorithm will leave you alone.
I agree with you re: changing the channel. Might I suggest you continue with the financial direction and present the information in as simplified format as possible. That should (hopefully) keep most of your audience. Also, if you upload daily shorts from your financial videos, that will help push the channel to a new audience. Switch the channel and keep going!

I did notice that when I type in MRE all these other channels come up. I had to physical type the channel name. I would leave up old videos but definitely rename channel. I really like the finance videos . Nathan Opinion is the name My Daughter and I came up with. This way you could try and see what videos do best. Gaming , product testing, reaction videos, group videos are doing well. Podcast channels seem to be the ones doing the best so far. Good luck .

Understand the feeling, I was just put on hbp meds. You have to look out for number one. Really enjoyed your videos over the years. UA-cam has gone crazy changing up everything. A lot of people I subscribed to just get deleted from my list. Leave up all the old ones. Maybe things will turn around or someone will come up with a replacement for UA-cam. With this new format I think they are going to lose a lot of content makers and viewers. So do what you need to for your health.

As a subscriber for a few years now I would hate to see all of your old stuff be deleted. How about doing something like doing some kind of financial content while eating a mre??

If you can't eat,buy or import them, then start making them the mylar pouches and dehydrator and pressure cooker is all you need plus in the future food will be hard to find.

I've been watching these vids from the beginning and I've learned alot. If you do end up calling it quits I'm sure everyone will understand that it's just not sustainable. Just think of all the knowledge you shared with people from around the world when it comes to military rations.
I appreciate your candor and honesty. YT is a fickle beast. Do what you want to do at the end of the day you do not owe the community anything. But, please do not remove the existing content.

I have been a subscriber for about 5 years. I really enjoyed the reviews. I enjoy re-watching videos. Now when I go to the local surplus stores I buy mres. I recently got 2 cases of rations for $50.00. I also got 5 MCW's at $20.00 each. I know there are a few channels I watch that I don't get a notification for. About 3 weeks ago I was unsubscribed from 5 channels by UA-cam. They are all military and gun related. I know Corporal's Corner views are sacked by UA-cam and he sends a email every time he posts a video. I will be sorry too see the reviews going away but you have to do what's best for you. I would keep the channel up. I know alot of us will re-watch videos.
