Just got my first Vulp Pro trainer the other day, went with the purple and black and it’s my favorite Balisong in my collection so far! Also I loved the gold and black with the white G10 combo, that looks SICK Will!

I’m a huge fan of those sharpenable false live blades! I personally got the wave from ArtSea and those are still quite thin where the edge should be. It won’t hurt as it’s not sharp but as a beginner you’ll definitely feel when you catch the wrong handle. It is a great tool to learn the right way to do tricks! A little punishing but not too much! Not to mention you can sharpen it when you feel ready for live blade and you have a true knife that you already know well! Love the idea!
Reverse clip point? This is just a normal Bowie profile, which is an example of a (normal) clip point. I've never heard "reverse clip point" before, and I would think that would basically just be a "tanto" since you'd be clipping off the front tip

Very nice looking blade shape but the blade and the g10 inlays are very similar to the cygnus. I think it's unfair and hypocritical to call the c116 a clone because it has the same bottle opener location as a mako and is made out of channel aluminum like a kraken. I know that's not your only gripe with marcolo but I would maybe stay away from calling their stuff clones or clone adjacent if the argument could be made that your stuff is clone adjacent too. This is coming from nowhere but a place of love, I adore what you have been/are doing for the community and your content is the best out there. You clearly care very deeply for the hobby and the community. Just some food for thought. And I absolutely will be getting a vulp pro live blade

However while I know the blade shape is similar, it is just a classic bowie design and is completely different. The cutout in the blade does share similarities to the cygnus I agree, but it's taken directly from the original Vulp blade design, which predates the cygnus! And I kind of agree with the calling the c116 a clone thing, because it isn't. That was a bit overboard.. but also I think it's important to call out that kind of stuff when you know the actual company behind it is in fact producing clones. There's a bit more to it then just the product itself!
the bushings on the hydra i slapped on kraken handles were tuned super close to perfect out the box, i didn't have to touch em. i know there people out there that will 100% put that bowie blade on kraken handles since the vulp pro trainer blade fits. if y'all do end up selling the false edge separately
@WillHirshFlips y do you hate the trident , its such a good bali (with adjustable balance for 100 dollars on sale) and it flips so close to a kraken when u put 2 washers in each handle(so a total of 4 weight in the balisong).
While I can't fully confirm, I'd say it's safe to assume - it just may need some small modifications. The Vulp, Vulp pro, and Hydra are compatible. People have done the Hydra blade swaps on Vulps/Vulp pros. I personally have an OG vulp with a Hydra Bowie blade swap and the only issue I had was the length of the tip. I used a Dremel on the safe handle to fit it while closed but you could also shorten the tip of the blade instead. The hardware and factory tune worked perfectly.
@@TheLimitPoint ugh I was going to do a blade swap with hydra but I really wanted to avoid messing with the ano on the handles knowing that the tanto version requires this mod. I was hoping maybe the bowie would fit better but seems not. Thanks for the info though
@@grabeq2188no problem! It would be nice if this Vulp pro blade was a bit shorter and didn't require modding. The Vulp pro has a longer channel than the Vulp tho - so who knows... I just used nail polish to cover up the grinding but it's not a perfect solution lol.
I love how it looks and i love the vulp pro, but $175? Unless it flips as well, i dont see it being up with a prysma pro in price. Not hating but thats just what stood out to me. Love the content!

Honestly, this might be one of THE blades of all time. Only medusa and covenant come close to the aesthetics of that shape. Idk about that fuller though.
Thank you! It looks good without the fuller but the fuller is twofold, allowing us to control the weight of the blade better and mimicking the look of the original trainer design.
