Point I was making is that addiction is addiction, whether it be drink or drugs but alcohol is more readily available. I spent a few months in a residential rehab where they explained how addiction is a mental health issue and that you have to concentrate on you. They also explained that ur family will not understand it because they are seeing their loved one self implode and can't see why. It's heartbreaking on both sides

@@Markygee1 Awww. Thank you SO much for your very kind words of condolences for the loss of my sister. I never thought you were trying to downplay drug addiction. I suppose when I heard that you said booze is the worst, I took that literally. Thinking it was worse than being a Heroin addict. I read too much into things. I realize that addiction is addiction. I just remember having a conversation with a friend who was an alcoholic and telling him I know that his addiction is bad and destructive and painful and hard to stop. But he compared it to drug addiction. I told him it's not the same thing because my sister would could not as easily buy Heroin as easily as she would be able buy alcohol. She did horrible things to get that China White. And he agreed. He said, "Well, that's true. I can scrape together $3.00 to buy a bottle of vodka. But it's not that easy to but Heroin with $3.00 worth of change". So, I feel grateful he understood. It's true, my family didn't understand. We tried so many times to help my sister. Put her in rehab. She would get out, be good for awhile and then go right back to using. I know she tried. But she just couldn't get rid of that monkey on her back. She finally succumbed to the drug when she was 37 years old. I was 24 at the time. Anyway, thank you once for your thoughtful and compassionate words. I greatly appreciate your comment.
