Btw this item came up for auction about 2 years ago and it was proven to be his writing AND signature. Joke of the signature expert is wrong again.
😳😳😳..niiice..thanks for the info👏
Good to hear. The seller seemed like a nice guy.
Justin Wilcox How much did it sell for?
Steve doesn’t even bother to check or compare other letters written by Adams. It’s possible he wrote the letter & signed it later which could explain the different pressures.
I wouldn’t trust Steve as far as I could throw a Sherman Tank.
Jason Jackson this has obviously been edited and shortened for tv. The experts know about the items they’re authenticating before they come in and unfortunately all the comparison cannot be shown on camera due to time constraints.
@@arielr3200 from where dat info?
STFU Jason. You flip burgers for a living....
I wanna believe they do these no deal clips, more to just show the viewers pieces of history, and just do the bartering for fun. Steve is highly regarded in autograph signatures. Hes one of the top three in MLB. But I dont believe his values.
@@michaelreynolds3592 he got in trouble for lying and faking I'm pretty sure.
Rick: hold on while I smoke a pack of cigarettes so I can get my quality laugh to sound horrible
🚬😂
Smokey pockets :3
Good choice for not selling it..
That steve knows nothing
Wouldn’t trust the “expert”
Hold the phone. Steve is still an "expert" ? Hasn't been proven he's dirty?
this is an old clip
Where?? I thought that was Drew 🤔
5 Twenty both of them.
Tbh I believe that when Rick wants something and he knows he can get a healthy profit when he calls the authenticators Rick makes sure to tell 'em to low ball the price or like he did here blatantly say that a Secretary wrote it ..The guy basically works for Rick.. Idk that just me, make your own conclusions.
Gabriel Cintron this dude is a known fraud. Definitely undervalued for a cut.
I agree too.
Always best to call in an expert!!! You rock pawn Stars!!!
Noone:
Pawn stars video at 3am: we meet again
Only collectable to Presidential collectors? Clearly ignoring the Adams family collectors.
🤣
Please stop reposting the same videos, over and over again, please. I already saw this video the other day, History, on your channel. Wasting peoples time. Can you please also stop posting items with that swindler of an "Autograph Expert." He was discredited.
Wasting people's time especially while were quarantined
@@Ninergang89
You may be quarantined. But I'm not.
You don't need to watch them at all...
Hahaha way to go blaming them. How about growing up and being responsible for your own actions. You are the one wasting time. Grow up man child!
Steve did it again. Magic!!!
This show need to bring back the old man. He's probably just sitting there. Bring him back whatever condition for one more episode. Come on please!
🤨
steve grad a true scholar and gentleman.
He’s a fraud
I have a quarintine ventilator, whats the best you can do for that?
Why would anyone take a piece of history to a pawn shop
they need cash now and not later like youd get in an auction setting.
to be on tv
Umm... For Money?
Why would anyone comment on youtube?
Man... Rick has that stare-you-in-the-eye thing down so he knows just how to read the person when he makes an offer.
And just how many offers do you think he has made in his lifetime? I'm betting tens of thousands at least...
I've been dealing in historical autographs for over half a century. Adams had what you might call a "crabbed" handwriting, kind of uneven. The body of the letter is definitely not in his hand. Take a look at examples of handwritten letters on the internet and you'll see what I mean. His handwriting was somewhat all over the place, not in nice, neat lines like a trained secretary would use, as in this case. The content of this letter is interesting but it not earth shattering, and I think the appraisal was a bit on the high side even assuming the address leaf with the free frank is separable from the letter itself. At auction maybe $900 for the letter and $400 for the free frank. Adams was a one term president with few accomplishments under his belt and as such is collectible as a President but not for much else.
We know it's you Steve using a dummy UA-cam account. Nice try.
I have a feeling that the signature is real
LeZI0N we know that the expert literally said it was his signature...
I hate to agree with Grad, but in this case it's seems reasonable that JQA didn't write the body of the letter.
Let me call his father, John Adams.
hahahaha so funny
I definitely know that my signature is much more legible and consistent than my normal writing. But comparing the body of the letter against a letter we know JQA wrote in its entirety would be the way to go. In the days before tape recorders, did people dictate to secretaries a lot or did they tend to write things themselves? If written a secretary, you would expect the body of the letter to display exception penmanship except that educated people in those days also cared a lot about how well they could write -- no typewriters, paper was expensive and using a quill pen itself took a lot of skill -- cursive writing was needed to allow one letter to flow into the next because printing would result in lifting the pen risky ink droplets.
Idk, it could have possibly been written by John Quincy Adams. The embellishments he uses are found in his other letters (unless they were ALL by that same secretary)
Also, notice the Long S in "Esq" on 3:28 (where the "s" looks like a cursive "f") and "Marshal" right after that. That would have been done by a much older person like John Quincy Adams, as it had just about been eliminated from print in 1800 and beyond. Whereas if he had a younger secretary, it's likely he'd be writing his "s" like how we do today, rather than the Long S that was common from Roman times until about 1800.
Also, you see the capitalization of random nouns like "Return", which again would have been much more typical of a much older person, as that also began getting faded out by the late 1700s
I'm obviously not an expert and this isn't 100% because some of those writing styles did pop up every now and then well into the 1800s but it's not clear that this wasn't John Quincy Adam's handwriting in full
I could see the difference from here. Good luck with that Ted.
remember steve plays it out to help rick get stuff cheaper then they will sell at a higher profit
$1600 for a JQA autograph? What a joke.
John Quincy Adams is poor mans John Adams
Summary of Pawn stars deals 👇
Seller : the least I will take is $10 thousand
Expert: it's worth $5 thousand
Rick: I will give you $ 2500
Seller: I will take it
Salt level 1000😨
Rick: Do you mind if I call someone in?
Ted: Nope.
Seconds later, most "respected" guy in the field comes in. 🙄🙄🙄
That’s called editing it’s a pretty simple process you cut tape your wait and start rolling again
They didn't want to travel in the winter hilarious
Wrong Steve’s lowballing so he can get a cut from Rick
Bro it's so totally f****** obvious that it's not his handwriting the signature yes
If Rick actually knew who was the American Secretary of State in 1822, then I'll get elected president tomorrow.
This item is very rare. Without knowing the value, I'd say $20K. Let's see!!
Not real! I bombed. LOL
the only expert i trust is Rebecca
Im just waiting for a costumer to ACTUALLY MIND someone coming to take a look at it.
It happened recently Rick pulled his old let me call a buddy routine and the guy said he didn't have the time for it I wish I could remember the name but it was recently uploaded
@@leir2005 It was this one... "Rick gets excited about a controversial coin."
watch?v=VlyeIHp49zE
It was the nipple coin video.
When you use adjectives like "flowing" and "beautiful" to describe a person's signature and then tack on "kinda cool" at the end of your segment, you disqualify yourself from being on the payroll for the serious.
Steve the CEO of fraudulent expertise
he laughs on his own joke :D
Love how people act like they always know more than the trained experts lmao
This guy is a fraud you know?
Yeah, Steve is a swindler
Steve is not good
I think we all know more than this fraud.
In this case he actually did lol
Does Rick continuously hire con artists to rip off customers?
“Ancient Astronaut Theorists say yes.”
LIVE!!! INK!!!
Rick laughing hard at his on own "jokes"
PolaBurrr He loves laughing at his own jokes.
He said it himself get more opinions don't see how that's gonna help if it's ones opinions versus anyone else
Where is this place..
Is it true your guyses warehouse is haunted lol?
You can feel the bad vibes of that “expert” thru the screen no wonder Older conservative guys that meet the guy walk they can feel something not right with that guy .
Rick complains about everything. I understand subject matter is important but it’s not like you can get a new letter from well over 100 years ago.
YAY
Ill take all the diecasts that were shown in the beginning of the video
So they call the convicted fraudster felon
Pretty sure this steve guy was a forger
This guy was caught in a scam of some sort.
Not once has it never been live ink
Steve is the most dirty expert of all time dirty is too sweet as word.
Wow the collectibles his uncle had were sold by his nephew when he died wowww
You can see with a blind eye he did not write that letter himself, someone else did and he just signed it
Who else thinks they can be a signature authenticator?👇
Fi that,,2nd opinion id be getting
Hard to take this expert’s word for it now. He got busted for passing up a lot of fakes as legit signatures. Total con man, too.
Ted has a shinier head than rick and he has hair
Live Ink
Yup this is signed by the devil himself.... Rick: 1,000 not a penny more or my soul is on the line here..
I always find it hilarious that the customers think the EXPERTS are wrong XD. They aren't called experts for nothing.
The show is fake if you didn’t know
Oh yes. "EXPERT" 🙄🙄🙄
This so called "expert" is ALWAYS low balling customers and is HUGE con artist.
jyri keskinen FACTS
That guy is a known fraud
Not sure why "they didn't want to travel in the winter time" is so funny to Rick but whatever.
I think in reality, these fake experts help the con stars scam the customer, then they go to the real expert and they get more
Re-posts for more views.
Not Pawn Stars own channel tho.
Rick has a very misguided idea that his annoying habit of laughing at his own, unfunny comments is somehow disarming. It is the opposite.
**So how you all spending in home in this lockdown period? **
Derrick millar
Hey let me call my comment section in theyre professionals at telling professionals what to do for a living :)
Forty Sevenz well are you aware that this “professional” is actually a fraud? Look it up

When that guy walked in I'd have to I'd Rick to go call a real expert not the cheap fake you use. What a ripoff place.
