    Thank you so much for this video, I have been struggling with eczema for years now and I keep going back to my doctor but my eczema is still very active and spreading. I went to get a referral to a dermatologist but the earliest appointment is in 5 months and this video has helped so much in the mean time.

      I have had exzema for the last eight years and I tried a psoriasis and exzema cream called Sorion from Amazon, it is around $25-$30. It immediately started working. I haven't had any flare ups since applying the cream those several times that first day, two months ago.

    Our baby girl has horrible eczema, to the point that her entire abdomen, legs, and arms are covered completely in dry patches. Normal baby lotion wasn’t doing the trick, so we tried Foderma. It works great! We apply it 2-3 times a day and it keeps her skin hydrated and her eczema at bay. The scent is super light and the lotion itself goes on smooth and spreads evenly and absorbs nicely into the skin. I highly recommend!

    Dr. Lou, do you have an opinion of yarrow oil possibly diluted with olive oil as a topical treatment & moisturizer? I have been moisturizing after a daily shower for over a year and just stopped using steroid cream (just about through the withdrawal symptoms) and now trying more natural remedies. I tried baby oil, various moisturizers and switched to just olive oil and now using black current seed oil and am slowly seeing results. Next up I plan to use the yarrow oil. . . . .

    Hey Dr Jenny, love your videos. Just have 1 question if I may, the skin on my back feels dry in the middle of the night while sleeping, even if I apply moisturizer before bed, what do I do? I have no visible eczema patches on my back, but it's so itchy and it feels inflammed that I get woken up by my own skin and I cant sleep well.

    I have a question about hand soaps. One day I happened to rub my hands together after washing my hands and noticed a white residue appear which I assumed to be from the soap. The more I rubbed my hands the more white residue I saw and it took a very long time to remove completely. Among one of the questions I have about hand soaps is if it is normal for soap to be like that on our skin. Does skin have a sponge like quality to it where you have to rub and squeeze to see more soap on it? Some hand soaps contain moisturizers could that actually be what the white residue I am seeing is rather than soap? How do you recommend getting all the soap off our hands as we are rinsing them? I think I am at a point where I am making myself crazy trying to get all the white residue off my hands each time I wash them.

    I just bought the Dove Sensitive Skin body wash to help with severe chronic eczema, which my allergist thinks may be triggered by using scented deodorants and body washes. I just used it, and I noticed it still has a bit of a fragrance. Will that be a problem? Should I find another body wash?

    Hi there!!
    I've had a lot of eczema as a kid (aggravated from my dust mite allergies). I've gotten most of it under control (it was all over-- on my neck, arms, legs, butt, face...).
    I've been getting a new location lately-- it's on the lips of my eyelids now. It's been tough figuring out what I can do for this and my primary care isn't being the most helpful.
    Any tips? :)
    Thanks for this channel! Def will explore your vids more!

      How’d you get it under control?

    • @AmAnthing59
      @AmAnthing59 Рік тому +4

      @@alexeng9688 Still working on the whole dust mite thing-- it's a daily struggle involving constant sheet washing / exercise in the sun / Aveeno body wash / a lot of CeraVe
      Getting to a sustainable amount of eczema was something like 2weeks of skin steroid (my doc prescribed triamcinalone for the body). It didn't have success with it at first, but this time, i was given a tub (as opposed to a tube) of it to use generously twice a day. It worked super well-- I felt a slick surface on my skin as i took showers and saw the improvement over the first week.
      As for the eyes, I was prescribed a some non-steroid ointment-- it makes my skin burn a little (i was told it was normal so continued; no adverse effects). I also used this twice a day for about only a week tho and then started using aquaphor to maintain the eyes-- of course my pillow was the biggest trigger of this, so... it might be good to mention that I use a folded up throw blanket and place my pillow cover on top of it (so yea, i don't use a real pillow anymore).
      Hope this helps!

    i've tried the cerave moisturising cream and the la roche posay lipikaur baume, and none of them work! my skin is still red and dry and tight (to the point where it hurts) and flaky. i can see areas on my skin where it looks like the top layer has been stripped off. my skin feels rubbery. i use cerave hydrating cleanser too but my face feels stripped after. nothing i've tried has helped at all.

    • @syl2169
      @syl2169 Рік тому +1

      Firstly you should use your moisturizers when your skin is still kind of WET. Also you may mix your moisturizers with pure squalene (The Ordinary or Biossance both work) to make them more moisturizing. Personally think you should try Avene's Cicalfate+, I used to have a very small itchy patch on my face, I mixed this with a few drops of squalene and use it every day, weeks later that patch disappeared. This product only comes in very small tubes and is a very dense, white cream, so might be a tad costly to apply all over your body, but it is really soothing.
