I Appreciate the intricate detail and skill in the precision cuts. So much fine labor. Over all great final result.......except the final finish. with all the minute detail, i thought the finish was rough....

According to the final result (with paint); Did you use resin to harden your helmet and have a plastic appearance ?
what thickness foam is this? and no sealing of the edges of the foam? Ive been told to take the heat gun to the edges before you hot glue them

+Yosephiab well no, most use Eva. These yogamats have a kind of film over them.
i dot know anybody who does, mostly people do their research and don't.
Can you explain why you cut out strips of foam during the assembly process? Was it to get the seams to close better? It's hard to tell since there's no audio/explanation. Thanks!
Do you find that the natural curvature of the foam lends itself to being used for this purpose, and if so, did you specifically cut parts so that when removed from the foam they bent to your advantage?

Hi I try to make this helmet... but shape of this helmet is hard to make in one place.. so If I glue all parts together is ok but how to put this:P or maybe use some glue inside to hae it in one place and then cut for 3 parts?

I love the audio track
I have found that you have to *cover the entire edges* you are gluing together and then pressing them together while the glue sets *is very important.* If you don't the seams will be painfully visible. If you have an extremely long edge, you may do better to take it a section at a time.

You need to mix water with some glue for wood(white glue) and put about 5-10 layers. Then you put primer and then normal color

My build has takin for ever even with the cameo cutter that's crazy to see how fast you did this. Did you take any steps to harden the helmet and remove the faceplate
No, it's a one-piece helmet, and it remains flexible. Then the owner is free to coat it with resin and split it in several parts on his own.
wow only 3 hours to build the whole thing AND OUT OF FOAM (which is less forgiving and more expensive than paper) awesome!! so if i do this out of paper id just have to set aside 5-6 hours (an extra 2-3 because it will be my first "large" scale pepakura build)

what may i use to make an EVA foam helmet rigid?
that depends on what you mean by "rigid", you can either add cardboard on the inside, or, you could spraypaint it with some coats of vinilic /pvc glue, or better the glue carpinters use, its like vinilic glue but more dense...
Though, if you use the second choise, you should use several layers, if not, it will crack and doesn't look nice...
an other choise, is to use more foam =P
instead of a 5mm one, use a 10 mm.

Some have even successfully used cardboard.
I've just made mine with EVA foam 6mm thickness! looking great! you have to make some adjustments because of the thickness though.
