- This video I wanted to talk about the things that I felt set me apart and get me to the next level...When I thought about what helped me make it there, this is what I came up with. If you want to make it in hockey you have to put in the work on and off the ice.

Bonus tip!!: get good grades in high school! this is a must because some schools won’t even bother with you if your marks aren’t high enough! I had good grades and this is what also helped me.

this is hurting me rn.. i went from a straight A gifted student to all Ds in sophomore year mostly from stress and i was online i think, and now im a junor and had a few bad marks from dropping a couple classes and now im worried.

I'm playing ice hockey in Hungary, Europe. This country were only have one NHL player so far...
I'm 12 years old but I'm looking for great scholarships. Because I'm 12 I can't go to the teams gym but I have got some weights at home so I can train with 'em. All of my coaches are said I can have a big future if I will work for it. But I don't know how I will go out to the states.

Lawson McDonald of course! I played D3 in Vermont and wouldn’t trade the experience for anything in the world! definitely would’ve loved more meals, apparel, etc... but academics have to be #1 for a woman hahaha gotta make a living somehow!

Try for a better highschool team or AAA program for the next year then make your way up to the NAHL!

luke mill you can work on trying to set yourself up to make a junior team because that’s where D3 will be recruiting from!

How do you even get involved in d2, d3. I’ve never played super high levels, but I think I could get there. Any tips or knowledge?
There’s not really any D2 hockey it goes from D1 to D3. If you play junior hockey growing up like the NAHL or Junior in Canada then these D3 and D1 scouts come to watch that. They don’t scout much other leagues then junior, AAA or High school in the states

jack yes doing sprints and explosive movements like box jumps will definitely help

I played AA for my minor midget year last season so I obviously didn't get drafted into the O but I still want to play competitive hockey at some level whether that be D3 in the US or in the Canadian University league. I still have 2 years to make a AAA team and make in impact there but I'm running out of time. I started hockey really late in grade 7 and only took my training seriously a few years ago, but I've made remarkable improvements so playing AAA in a few years wouldn't be out of the question
If you're only in midget you got so much time on your hands to improve and get yourself to play college hockey. If you keep getting better each year and working hard you will catch up and be able to play at higher levels. Keep making improvements man!
